How do I transfer my BTCD to the ICO site in order to make the swap?
I do not see a BTCD deposit address in ICO site.

I believe Bitcoin is still in beta  Anyway we are still fixing bugs on the wallet. It is a never ending process, the bugs will get harder to spot though as time goes on. |

Everyone that is asking about wallets and what to do, i think this is the first time maybe that a coin has released the coins to people before the actual launch of said coin  . Be happy that the team are on top of it and wallets will be provided at launch. If you cant wait that long, come to #komodo to test the beta versions. |

We have 5 days more till the KMD distribution. By that time hopefully wallet is ready for download.
This week we managed to fix the windows bug referred as 'pm2' bug. Thus we got the windows version of Iguana working too. We quietly released it as beta version last Tuesday. Being that BTCD can be swapped until January of 2018, I think the coins that have not been swapped will reach ICO parity once KMD becomes established as a player in the market. With success and visibility, there's no reason investors wouldn't buy the book up to the .0065 level.
I expect the people to pay even more than 0.0065, when Komodo hits the Exchanges and rises to higher levels. BTCD price should then rise in parallel with Komodo price. I believe the BTCD price should rise to its market value of 0.0065 and beyond that would be better to buy KMD. |

I don't think KMD will absorb BTCD, the price will be independent of each other, just like NXT and Ardor tokens. The price of BTCD may drop with time since there won't be any real development behind it. I dont think it would drop at all. BTCD's value is set and convertible at that price to KMD within the next year. You cannot convert NXT to Ardor at a set price which is why the price changes. So the real question is who is wanting to sell BTCD at lower than market value. After the swap period is done then i can see it falling. |

I suppose that there is reluctance to buy BTCD up to .006512 conversion price out of fear of what good KMD will be when they are not tradeable?
The same has been observed when the ICO started ... the price of BTCD rose, then stabilized a bit before going down. There's a probability that we'll witness the same, well now the release is more concrete than when the ICO started, so buys may increase, afterwards I think it will highly depend on when Komodo becomes exchangeable. And yes, there's also the risk that Komodo will trade under the ICO price, let's hope BTCD price doesn't drag KMD price down and that it would be the other way around. Well mooning BTC had a small part to play in the sell off  |

There will be marketing effort. Just wait until Komodo Wallet and Iguana is released. First there needs to be a product (GUI) for marketing. With the releases comes trust.

So new to this coin/thread. I was reading up on things and from a conversation I had in slack chat last night it appears right now the best way to acquire this coin is to buy and swap BTCD. I'm aware that buying BTCD now I miss out on this REV asset (not sure what that is exactly) but nevertheless am I correct in thinking buying BTCD is the best way to acquire Komodo?
A follow-up question would be this; since it appears the swap rate is fixed and going to be honored for the next year or so is there really any advantage to swapping my BTCD into Komodo today vs. after the coin is distributed? It seems to me there is no advantage to swapping my coins today vs. say on February 1st when Komodo is "live" so to speak because all it does is tie up my funds for 15 days with no upside. Perhaps I am missing something, to which I would love some insight if there is a good reason to swap today.

until KMD is distributed, the only advantage to doing it now is to lock in current market prices. no guarantee it will still be there in 2 weeks. of course the market could do unexpected things, but please dont complain if the current price levels are gone when you decide to purchase there used to be 20,000 BTCD for sale at polo, then 15,000. Now it is down to ~6000 And once KMD is out, there is a significant difference to not swapping as you wont earn the 5% APR that KMD has if you hold the BTCD Thanks for the quick reply. Yes I was more so wondering if there was any advantage at this point swapping the BTCD that I purchased today (already in hand) vs. waiting 2 more weeks. My main concern is losing liquidity (if needed) for 2 weeks so I wanted to make sure I wasn't missing anything if I hold off until KMD is out before swapping over. From my understanding the conversion rate of BTCD => KMD remains fixed and so long I already am holding my BTCD I will be fine. The only other benefit is you would earn a small amount of interest (swap rate) and be able to vote. Otherwise just wait 2 weeks. |

I'm having trouble setting up 2FA on the ICO site. Using chrome on windows 10 and google authenticator on my android tablet. I scan the barcode, the app registers KomodoPlatformICO, but every time I enter the code I get 'wrong token' ... any ideas?
edit: is the 2FA setup on my komodo ICO account, or my email?
edit: getting same with Firefox, 'wrong token'
