mining is not a get rich quick thing. i have been mining since late 2013. i sold as i earned back then. now when i look at how many coins i had i could have been a millionaire. so for me it's about holding what i mine. if your into fiddling and messing with hardware then it's a great hobby with a view to making some money.
pick new coins and mine the hell out of them at the start and hold those coins. some will be crap,but some will go on to have value.
heat is a big issue. if you can't get the heat out of the room then i would say don't do it.
you'll have hardware failures,especially if they get too hot. initial outlay is very expensive and it's really not worth it if you plan on using one or a few gpu's, for an example. i have 30 rx580's and i make $10 per day with free power, if i look at it as a daily profit thing. but if you plan to hold for better prices then that will go up

So as I understand it, each wallet/ dApp will have it's own blockchain and only store it's own transactions, that reducing the blockchain storage size, allowing instant transactions, and no bottle necking. And the cheap transactions fees will burn, thus reducing the total supply. While staking rewards will increase it, the inflation would be dynamic and potentially deflationary if the right conditions were met. There's sooooo much going on here I can't wait for the mainnet

ok, so i had it running all night having stripped the rig down, with just 1 card. stable so i just added a second card. lets see if that is ok

i don't know how to read the logs
The logs are auto-created in the Clay folder where the miner is installed *have you tryed the -r 60 option that I’ve mentioned few posts above? ok so i unplugged 3 of the cards that i thought might be causing it. i had 3 card going for a few hours yesterday so i deleted all old log files. i left it over night and came down to it stopped again and a whole line of log files in the bat file. i don't know how to read the logs. or what to look for. it looks like i'm going to have to run 1 card at a time to see which one is crapping out. psu wise i have 1 card and the motherboard and ssd running off a 1000w psu. and 5 cards running off a 1200w server psu so i don't see it being that?? You can use the “-di” option added in the bat file, ex.: -di 012 to run only the first 3 cards, so run them one by one remotely and detect what card is crushing your miner Before that, check all the cables, even smell them, to check if they are maybe burned yep, i've decided to strip it all right down. and run 1 card till it stays stable, the ntry another card using the riser that ran the first card ect. this will be a long ass test thats for sure |

i am about to smash one of my mining rigs to bits. it's perfectly stable all day, but freezes or shuts down during the night. so i'm losing hours of mining time each 24 hours. stupid problem. i tried different risers. setting higher virtual memory. temps are fine as i've installed much higher rmp fans on all the 6 cards. they never go above 75. during the day i have the garage door open and the ystay around 55/60. 75 is not high enough to cause freezing. as i said they mine all da yever yday fine. it's jus tat nioght when i'm asleep. it's like it knows i'm not watching
Had similar problem. It's just randomly shut off. Could go for days, sometimes hours. Switched out risers and all that, no luck. Changed port on the motherboard and after that it's all fine. changed port??? |

The only thing that will be different is that the wallet of dev that has been compromised will be frozen or burnt forever, this as such will reduce the total circulating supply of priv, who knows with less circulating supply price will bump a little bit.
@vectisitch will there be a name change to this new phase of the project? Because of the signature you are wearing, the name and logo design has changed but every other information looks same as priv, is it the new priv design?
the name will be the same. i am no longer a team member of privcy although i still support it and wish it and the team well. i do own some privcy again, however i am now a team member of a different project which is in my signature |

you will be given enough notice before the fork. until the notice it is safe to buy or move your priv. this is not going to be a hard fork so your coins will stay the same

Why did the bounty and development funds got lost? Hacks of premined wallet or something different? the fork is purely to replace the lost bounty and development funds. the crex24 coins will be lost

New signature and avatar you worn are for the PRiVCY after the soft-fork, I guess. It looks good, but still remains main theme of old ones. so if that is the case this actin you describe will automatically reduce the total supply of priv by some %, so this wallet on crex24 and the one for the dev what is total priv inside? is it yet known and publish for better understanding, if there is no fork and everything still remains as same, i guess it will be easy for the new dev to take control of the situation, looking forward to more update. the fork is purely to replace the lost bounty and development funds. the crex24 coins will be lost |

people say that airdrops are a waste of time, well for most of them i would agree.i was able to pay off my mortgage last year from the Deeponion airdrop. you just need to pick the right ones
In 2017 I also received lots of money from airdrop, and obviously just need us to be lucky and participate in the right project. But in 2018 until now it is not the same as before, I also tried to participate a lot but did not receive more than 10 $ and there is your problem. i know 2018 was bad but your still looking at it as $10. hold it all for the next big turn and that $10 could be $1000. airdrops are free coins so just hold them and take the chance |

Hey, my son asked me the same question lastnight lol but right now there is no ETA for release...  So its more a testing platform right now that will be developed along the way, we're actively working behind the scenes on several game's to implement the atheios blockchain but its no easy task and will take some time, I'm personally working on some fun mini games that will be released on the mobile platform once we are happy with the mechanics and blockchain integration, then we aim for PC/XBOX/PS creating cross platform rewards/items/leaderboards. Thanks for your interest  If they are successful in implementing all of this, this asset will appreciate much over the course of the project. I will invest a bit in mining. Good luck to the team, the idea is excellent. Thanks, it will be successful its just a matter of time so enjoy the journey with us i have mined a few thousand of these and will keep coming back as and when the coin i mostly mine drops in value a bit. this has a lot of future value in it i feel. if the development keeps going as it is then i see this as a hidden Gem
