Red tag was removed. I asked the other DT that gave you red tag to consider since you locked the thread. And yes, if you created something for a scammer, you are indirectly helping a scammer to promote a scam. ANd you got (or will get) paid, right? (tokens for your service) Many people will read your translation and possible will invest in the scam. For the future - try to research projects that you will be promoting (translating) - because next time a red tag will not be removed. Promoting a scam will make you part of the scam. When you completely delete/lock the topic that is helping the scammer we will remove the red tag. Just posting a warning message like this on top of the thread will not help "WARNING : this project apparently has copied another project's whitepaper... I'm just a translator here..." I tried to delete the topic but I couldn't delete my own post, according to the forum's reaction... So I locked it. "Supporting a scam" is a bold statement... first of all, how am I supposed to know if the whitepaper was copied from any other project? Check every existing projects' whitepapers and see if there's anything wrong? And again... I was JUST offered to translate the Bitcoin Ann (which...did not include the whitepaper), how does that make me a "scam promoter"? Please remove this negative trust, I'm really offended by that and this is really similar to slander. I did NOT copy ANYTHING...I was missioned by a project team to translate a forum Announcement into another language, and now I'm a "victim" of this because it happens this Team copy-pasted another project's whitepaper? In the same state of mind, will we stigmatize every members of every discord or telegram group that happened to be scams, just because they were part of it and...victims of it too? that's an interesting discussion! Should we take the path of a clever and "adult" approach, which is prioritize the real case apps, or go "sparkles and glitters" and try the hype approach? So may projects are just thriving thanks to the hype around them... when you dig a bit there's just an empty shell. That's pretty deceiving...But unfortunately that's the way it works for the short-middle term. For the long term, it seems obvious that building some strong fundamentals (real use apps, innovations...) is the way to go... But I think we need to find a good balance between the two aspects: if the short-middle term is let aside, funds may not get in enough to make the project have a good take-off. I guess our whales's minds are fluctuating too ^^ (oh I need to mine this cool coin! - ok, enough for now - oh, let's mine a bit more - now that's it! - oh damn they're on a cool exchange now, let's mine again (...) ) Anyway, we can see more and more "regular/average" miners, and it's very positive cause those are the backbone of the network, it's definitely better to have a crowd of miners than a few whales who can play with the network as they want. |

Trading platform? what do you mean by that? I don't remember seing anything about a trading platform... are you confusing with the Payment System that is gonna be available for integration to e-commerce websites? If that's the case and you were mentioning this one..well, I'd definitely say the Payment System!! It would be the very first scalable real-use application, and knowing how the Dev Team manages to put something innovative in every of their releases (check the Android wallet, people...!), I really can't wait to see how this one goes. As per CointMarketCap listing... it's more a matter of "hype" to me, but unfortunately this is also very important in our sphere, as people almost value it more than the real fundamentals. Whotheff I'm sorry but I don't have the slightest clue about any bountry except the one we will all enjoy after a couple of time when this gem will find its place among the top rated cryptos. When I was taking about exposure I was referring to any place from where people can see it. So doesn't matter if it's Reddit / Medium / Twitter / YouTube /... etc. Actually the real "GEM" here is the core Team (Devs), and the whole community, which is very strong and friendly, the pool owners are also doing an amazing job at keeping the hashrates under control, and to avoid centralisation. It's quite refreshing to see, compared to some other projects, where there's more a feeling of "competition" between pools, and they even show off proudly when they get +70% of the global network... |

Babywhales LOL! I just spoke with the main Dev on Discord. He explained that for now uPlexa resistance to ASICs is pretty high and the chances for someone developing such device for the custom UPX Cryptonight algo are minimal. However the team has a backup option in case someone spends several hundred thousands on a new ASIC developmnet. So.. keep mining! of course! ASIC development is always possible, for almost any coin and algo, but it's also expensive... so people do this when there is already a minimum of adoption and a big marketcap, not at this state of the project, or I would be damned |
