I'll probably talk to some of the same reviewers I talked to for the Compacs last year - people I trust whose opinions cover important aspects of a successful product. Phil is really good at understanding customer mindsets, guys like NotFuzzyWarm are well-rounded engineers, and CrazyGuy as a top reseller can comment on marketability.

Still available to manage Canada group buy if need be!  Wink

Hey OP  Grin

You recommend claymore 7.4 to mine and that is perfect. But I will like to dual mine sia also.
Could you make 7.4 dual mining sia ? And custom miner options available. Im using it to mine expanse since my card have less than 2 gb.  Wink

Thanks

You can entere whatever you like into claymore custom option so just add siacoin stuff.
Take a look into claymore settings and examples.
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1433925.0

Seems to have a limit in the custom field. When I try to enter SIAmining pool info everything get deleted after I save. Can you verified please. Thanks
152  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: My friend and I are thinking of mining Bitcoins.... on: November 27, 2016, 03:06:11 PM
Welcome in the bitcoin community! Do not hesitate if you have some questions, Im in MTL.  Wink

Btw the S5 is a old miner. Check for the S7 or even better the Avalon A721. You could also check for the Avalon 6.

And use this : https://bitcoinwisdom.com/bitcoin/calculator
to see the ROI (return on investment)

Cheers!

156  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: wow ,almost 30,000 unconfirmed trans on: November 25, 2016, 03:28:46 AM

Pretty sure I explained - dodgy optimisation choices in a hacked coin daemon. It was notably less than 2 minutes after the previous block. The mempool would have clearly been full in a regular bitcoind at the time so there's no way a call to create a block template would have only given them a 33kB block.

EDIT: Look at the block sizes here for the last 30 days and sort by average size:
http://data.bitcoinity.org/bitcoin/blocksize/30d?t=l

You'll see that famously the smallest average block size is by Eligius which is the pool associated with Luke-jr... So that one's clearly not a conspiracy by the people pushing for bigger blocks. 3 of the top 4 average sizes are from ckpool users.

Just a joke! I had too much free time  Tongue

157  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Avalon A7 announced on: November 25, 2016, 03:10:22 AM
I'm pleased to say that both Kano and I have received an A7 each from Canaan for continued support of these devices in the official cgminer, and the code has already been merged into the master cgminer.

Really happy to see that! You totally deserve it!  Grin
158  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Bitcoin per day into CDN on: November 24, 2016, 12:42:28 PM
So ive been reading a tiny amount of articles, and people are saying there generating 100 bitcoin a day... but when I look at the steam store to pay in bitcoin, its says 1 bitcoin is worth 995 CDN $.  That means these people are either making seriously over 100,000$ a day?Huh OR that I'm not understanding this correctly.
I have this, does anyone have a rough estimate of how fast this would generate bit coins? I also have a GTX 1070 card:
 Processor   Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-6700HQ CPU @ 2.60GHz, 2601 Mhz, 4 Core(s), 8 Logical Processor(s)

Any wisdom is very appreciated Smiley

Warm Regards.

I think you will need to read a little bit more. You cannot mine bitcoin anymore with CPU or GPU and be profitable. You need asic and its a rough business.
Read on the forum and you will learn a lot.

Good luck and welcome in the bitcoin community!  Grin

You should learn respect OP. I totally understand DebitMe. You are not starting your life with the bitcoin community on a good way.

Hey OP is it possible to mine 1 rig on zec and a second rig on eth?

I got 2 gb gpu that will soon no more be able to mine eth.

Let me know!  Grin

Edit: Or let us add this to the config file :
setx GPU_FORCE_64BIT_PTR 0
setx GPU_MAX_HEAP_SIZE 100
setx GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS 1
setx GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
setx GPU_SINGLE_ALLOC_PERCENT 100

Thanks
