Sorry, but I agree with this until we have a fucking white paper or something explaining our tech. I'm sick of hearing that XC is way ahead in terms of the tech... HOW DO WE KNOW THIS IS TRUE? WHERE IS THE DOCUMENTATION OR PROOF?

Start using your heads, my god.

Well, since you can not read c++ code, i can tell you that it is real. I am a developer and a network engineer, XC is real and probably have the most solid base to build upon among all cryptos (except nxt perhaps, but it have existed for 8 months now). Agree with a more solid description though.
142  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [XCurrency] Decentralised Trustless Privacy / Encrypted XChat / Privacy Platform on: July 30, 2014, 12:28:03 PM
I know that its all hot air atm. good luck to anyone trying to ride the pump. i don't have the balls anymore  Grin.

one more thing. I'm all for giving value and recieving value type of actions in this crypto community. Tell me where is the value keycoin devs is giving to XC in exchange for Dans time except that one line thank you so far?

The point is that Dan's review is the value given to XC.

- it establishes Dan's reputation in the community

- it demonstrates his spirit of mutual respect and goodwill

- it further solidifies XC's reputation as a real, legit project

- it gets Key members interested in XC.

Best move ever on Dan's part.

Agree fully.

Well, the BIG difference is that multipath can be applied not only to mix currencys but general IP traffic of any kind, e.g. everything that uses the IP-protocol and all layer 4 (OSI) protocols.

So, if there was a way to transfer larger amounts of data between clients, then you could technically build a Tor-like network on top of the XC network? Does the XC network support moving larger amounts of data right now?

I do not see the need for tor in this case, you accomplish pretty much the same thing. But sure, tor have alot of discussions regarding multipath, http://www.researchgate.net/profile/Georg_Carle2/publication/4302670_Dynamic_Multipath_Onion_Routing_in_Anonymous_Peer-To-Peer_Overlay_Networks/links/0c960524b1c3193544000000

How much data you can move depends on the nodes in the network.. as in the "real" internet there exits bottlenecks depending upon the speed of he internet connection as well as hardware performance (however that is not usually the case anymore). Short answer, yes, you can ship big data, theoretically. It demands no special support for it, its there. But the bottlenecks are a problem. There might be solution further on that will be able to calculate latency and bandwidth for paths/links.. do not know if it exists.

Edit: while other currencys are focusing on the small picture regarding the currency in it self and that it should be anonymous, XC have a more solid ground that you can build any type of service upon and make it anonymous.. storage, messaging.. you name it.
144  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Best PoS coin to invest in? on: July 29, 2014, 08:53:26 PM
Right now, probably XC.
145  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [XCurrency] Decentralised Trustless Privacy / Encrypted XChat / Privacy Platform on: July 29, 2014, 07:05:09 PM
So, I've been doing a little research on XC and other anonymous coins, just so that I can have a better understanding of something I might invest in. I'm a little hung up on how the xNode protocol works, though. Is it like Monero's CryptoNote? I'm not sure if there's tension between XC and Monero/CryptoNote/etc, and if there is then I'll bring my question elsewhere. Not trying to cause any trouble, I'm just genuinely curious.

Well, the BIG difference is that multipath can be applied not only to mix currencys but general IP traffic of any kind, e.g. everything that uses the IP-protocol and all layer 4 (OSI) protocols. Cryptonote is for mixing currency transactions, period. So, you can use multipath for every service you can think of (messaging for example), and be almost 100% anonymous since you can not track the source.

Think of it as an routing protocol, eg OSPF and on every hop you perform NAT and set src address to the router.

How far has the development concerning zerocoin gone? Do you think you will be able to do it? When i joined the IRC channel people told me that it have been worked on for the last 6 months or so.

launch date?

Ok, sorry, but why do you take your time to post here and not checking the OP (first page). It says clearly when ZERO will launch. FFF>UUCK.

First step towards Zerocoin? I can see no proof at all in the source code that you in any way traying to use the zerocoin library. Can you elaborate?

Allthough TOR seems OK, but you are one of 10 that have implemented it.

Regards

Look here : https://github.com/Eurbids/korecoin/blob/master/src/init.cpp#L704
FaSan

I looked, and yes there is a function call to the zerocoin test suite. And by that you want to tell me what?

Zerocoin library usage in source is ZERO.

Ha looks like they have just about every crypto on there... I recently worked through the old thread for the DeFUD campaign so I'll send them a message and see what happens. I'll check out that thread as well.

Hey Driv3n. Exciting to hear about the progress of the DeFUD campaign. How far along are you?

I react to one thing in OP, using the short version "it'll" instead of "it will be" does not sound that professional. Call me a whiner Wink

Kind regards

This would be very cool. If you can arrange that i will definitly buy in and help with promotion and development in future.

Hello,

I might have missed it, but still.. Once this EM is done, will it be functional with 0 balance? Or is there a neccessary balance for this?

Thanks for the answers!

It's currently free.

May i ask if you can send offline messages, and in this case, are these stored on blockchain? Everything that is affecting blockchain could include a fee, but things that are sent directly through the network (multipath) should not include a fee. Imho you should not put a fee on "ip-traffic", thats just a service, same as for people who are providing bandwidth for the XC network.

Quote of the day: "Don't argue with idiots, they'll drag you down to their level, and beat you with experience."

10 years experience of being an idiot.. you simply do not match that;)

Haha

Great job with OP.
158  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][XC][OFFICIAL] PoS/Privacy on: July 23, 2014, 02:07:25 PM

Just think about this for a moment:

- some dumb coin copies XC's old tech and gets an article published about it

- we kindly inform the coin's followers that their dev is several steps behind XC and has implemented last-gen technology

- people rationally head on over to the exchanges and buy XC instead.

It's too easy.

It would be 100x easier if we had a whitepaper to point them to.

I couldn't agree more. A white paper is on the Rev 3 to-do list.

Not until REV3?  There should be whitepapers for each major revision.  REV2 --> and then REV3 to explain how it ADDS to the privacy that REV2 offered.

New "anon" coins are added weekly to the markets.  People cannot tell one solution from the other anymore.

This is the last I'll post about it, but as far as I'm concerned, Dan needs to stop whatever coding is he is doing, and spend however long it takes to publish a well documented whitepaper explaining XC's current tech.

I think I Agree on this we need detailed Explanation From Dan On How REV2-2.5 Improve the anonimity of XC and makes it the market leader at the moment so that we can give people a quick source where they can get Informed and make their best decision to invest in. I mean fuking Bitcoindark is ahead of us in price at the moment we should have smashed DARKCOIN Records already after REV 2 for fuck sake.

Did we not have some PR-guy from adidas? Where is he ?Smiley
159  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][XC][OFFICIAL] PoS/Privacy on: July 23, 2014, 02:05:46 PM
Haha. Crypto community at it finest. 10% litterally takes money from the other 90%. If there was not a 4000 BTC sale/ipo in ethereum a small number of people actually could have made some money. When half of the holders (yes half, they do not care about the tech) will dump 2000 BTC worth of ethereum we will see how many of them will get profit;) jesus fucking christ
160  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][XC][OFFICIAL] PoS/Privacy on: July 23, 2014, 01:05:51 AM
Like a soap opera hehe

People... people actually drives me into suicidal thoughts sometimes, like where is the hope? The crypto community is pretty filthy. yuck. So you will lock your funds into ETH and then be ready when every fucking guy on BCT want to cash out and make a quick buck at the same time. People that invests 100BTC.. jesus. Panic sells, the eth sale goes on for 42 days, you can get them for 14 days a current price. People.

If you buy ETH your coin is locked up until the genesis block, late 2014 early 2015.  I think of my XC as being locked up in kinda the same way. Of course it isn't, but I try to think of it as being locked in until at least Christmas.....ok well thanksgiving, anyways.

Yes, the price have most likely have stabilized then and the XC roadmap are as we see now, are pobably obsolete. The trading usually kicks in, in september/oktober again. This is the same every year. If you check the marketcap that is held i BTC its about 8 B. Long time since i saw that. Currently people is holding btc not alts.
