141  Economy / Gambling / Re: DiceBot (Martingale, Labouchere) for Just-Dice, PRC, 999dice and safedice on: April 14, 2015, 08:28:13 PM
Which version are you using and how did you start the bot? If you're using the programmer mode you need to go to the console tab and type start() in the console to start betting and then type stop() again to stop the bot. If you did use the console to start it, did it show you an error message?

I used percentage/100 for a reason. balance*0.0026285 = 0.26285% of the balance. if you want 0.0026285% of the balance, it's balance*0.000026285

I am using version:

Code:
DiceBot
Programmer: Seuntjie
vs 3.0 Alpha build 7

I get no errors in the console. I can literally type: nextbet=balance and it still only bets 0's.

update to build 10. The build you're using has a really buggy programmer mode, including not getting the balance from the bot.

Alpha version (build 10) of Seuntjies Dicebot is available at seuntjie.com/dicebot/dicebot-v3-alpha-b10.zip

Build 10 status is "Status/Current Action: Disconnected"

how do I connect? I don't see the site.

all the checking of fairness is good, but after reading and testing, I came to an alarming realization.

for online dice game sites, it's true that the site can't cheat us with provable fair, but what's keeping the site operations from cheating the investors by creating dummy accounts and reviewing their own Server Seed and staring betting?

thanks, msg sent,

btw how do you open the chat box?

chatbox is on the right side bottom corner, it is wrriten as chat room, you just need to click on that to show up the chatroom and chat there

Sry, but there is nothing there, is it browser specific? I am using Chrome.

ah your browser screen resolution size must not be large enough (if you do ctrl + - ) or zoom out a few times no your page, it will load the chat box)

yeah, 90% and the chat box shown.

thanks.

the first big number is your account number
the second is the nonce from your plot found for the currently block

Quote
{result: success, requestProcessingTime: 205, deadline:67087718}
205 is the response time from the server you are connected to.
deadline is the number of seconds from your nonce above (this is the time in seconds you have to wait if no better candidates are found.)

2TB in 15 days is way too long, I have an i7-4910QM, and takes me about 10 hours to plot a 1TB drive.

hope this helps

it already took 10 seconds for your pool to confirm your 2 second deadline, and a few more to be on the blockchain.

I thought that PrevBlockTimestamp+NewBestDeadline=NewBlockTimestamp, but:

35943 Blocktime 8720261
-----    New block: 35944
found deadline=2
35944 Blocktime 8720272 (+11s)

Best deadlines are not difference between timestamp?

I think it took your miner 11 seconds to found your deadline of 2.

Only 3 more minutes, and my 771 deadline will give me the first block in nearly 2 days. Everyone pls stay off the network ;-)

NOOOooooooo

I feel your pain.   My 89 deadline was snatched by a 32.
157  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][BURST] Burst | Efficient HDD Mining | New version 1.1.5 on: November 04, 2014, 08:52:48 PM
crap, just 15 minutes late

BurstcoinWalletReleaseParty-1.1.5-PasswordIs:VW

don't worry, somebody bot-hacked all accounts already

Yup seems like it, I spent over 25 minutes trying all those combos and finally got one....  to open up to 0 balance.

Like soloing and getting a 89 deadline, but someone else solve it with a 23 deadline.

you need to increase your stagger size to get faster

I will next time.  Already running the optimizer on most of my plots.

Edit: anyway how would increasing the stagger size help? higher stagger size means reading the plots faster, but not getting a smaller deadline.

11 Days without a block with 9TB - what is going on with this thing? Was finding a block every day or two at most for the last 50 days until the 8th of October. Everything running as it should.

There's a spot of bad luck and then there's this.

9TB is not enough to solo mine IMO. Why don't you come join us at mine.burstcoin.info? I'm still doing my giveaway of 1600 burst for new miners.

9TB is and has been plenty for a block every couple of days/3 days max. Why is it suddenly not happening now? Has anything changed since the 9th of October that could stop the java miner from working as it should?

Same here with 60TB. Doesn't find block since 2 days. Before that it worked great. No idea what happens then.

Something is definitely wrong then. Who is getting more than their fair share of the blocks? Is it possible to rig the process or tip the scales to make your plots 'luckier' than others?

same here, not only am I not getting any blocks (12TB), but all my nonce submitted are all at least 8 digits, the smallest nonce submitted was 6 digits (in 5 days).

after 5 days of this, I switched to pool2.burstcoin.io,  4 digit nonce are more frequent now.  Not sure what's going on.

Exactly what I am getting as well. Literally nothign has changed since the 8th of October and yet I still haven't got a block and most "best" deadlines are 5 or 6 figures.

What is going on here? it ain't monumental bad luck - not for all of us.

12hrs after switching from solo to pool2, got a block.
