143  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: bitcoin difficulty + btc price on: January 02, 2015, 10:10:59 AM
So sad to see current btc price, it's been around ~300 for weeks. I will stop mining by the next difficulty change if the price stays the same. mission fail, waiting for a miracle now
144  Economy / Gambling / Re: == OFFICIAL 2014 BITCOIN GAMBLING AWARDS == Vote for your favorite website! on: December 29, 2014, 09:39:24 PM
2 days left and we'll see the winner, only directbet and primedice have the chance to be the number 1 based on their total votes
145  Economy / Gambling / Re: How do you handle lost? on: December 27, 2014, 12:52:04 AM
I usually stop playing when I lose my initial deposit, try to relax and gain control of my emotion. It's not safe to gamble when you're out of control your emotion...
146  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: December 26, 2014, 06:16:10 AM
China broke downtrend line for past little while, then it goes right back and breaks the top one, I guess it will crash hard. I guess just getting people stopped and margin called
147  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: A few noob questions about BTC on: December 26, 2014, 05:38:03 AM
<snip>
....
The blockchain is a public ledger that every full node on the network has a complete copy of.  Transactions in that blockchain indicate how much value you can re-assign with signatures from your private keys. As long as you don't have any new addresses, you don't have any new private keys, and therefore the currently backed up private keys can still authorize the transfer of the new value that you received in the blockchain.
....
<snip>

That's very true, a distributed public ledger requires all valid transactions be stored in all full nodes. so all cumulative network latency must be taken into account for the storage of each block. any block time shorter than latency is subject to orphans and forks and general consensus issues.
148  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Dealing with Bloat on: December 26, 2014, 05:09:14 AM
bloating was not really the problem since orphan blocks dont stay on the "disk" necessarily... but the daemon was using more cpu/network bandwidth per tx due that reordering problem
149  Economy / Gambling / Re: Loss 15 times at first bet until empty balance and never won. on: December 26, 2014, 04:41:43 AM
the game is provably fair, it just a matter of luck and you didnt have it when you're playing

keep playing with small amounts and avoid martingale
150  Economy / Gambling / Re: What is your favoutite Bitcoin Minesweeper site?! on: December 26, 2014, 04:37:07 AM

151  Economy / Speculation / Re: Can Bitcoin Rebound? on: December 26, 2014, 04:32:09 AM
Well... Bitcoin lost 75% of its value in 2014, let's see if it can repeat the same outstanding feat next year.. lol..

Gox may have been responsible for us hitting a new all time high so quickly after the april 2013 bubble

152  Economy / Gambling / Re: •••• COINICHIWA • SUPER FAST ROLLS • 1% EDGE • JACKPOT •••• on: December 23, 2014, 02:17:40 PM
I requested a testing withdrawal of around 200k satoshi 30 minutes ago but it hasnt arrive yet in my wallet, I thought it would be instant but I was wrong, why didnt you enable instant withdrawal for payouts less than 0.5 btc ?

EDIT:

Finally I got my money after 45 minutes, I notice it needed 4 confirmations of my deposit to get my payout request processed
153  Economy / Gambling / Re: •••• COINICHIWA • SUPER FAST ROLLS • 1% EDGE • JACKPOT •••• on: December 20, 2014, 11:45:58 PM
For all of you to try out: The faucet is set to 10000 satoshi plus small bet delays are disabled for the next hour or two.

Type /freecoins into chat.

I claimed the faucet and only got 2000 satoshi, why is it lower than your saying ?
154  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin > Banks! WINNING! Banks caught scamming! on: December 20, 2014, 10:58:46 PM
The Banks are just scared of making a bit less money thats all. Undecided

The banks are getting towards negative percentage now, they charge you for the priviledge of keeping your money in their vault

157  Economy / Gambling / Re: 8 Ball Pool - Bet with Bitcoins on: December 18, 2014, 01:27:19 PM

158  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Best Altcoin to invest in for 2015 and WHY on: December 18, 2014, 12:54:44 PM
alt-coins have even much less of a "value" than btc. the only strategy for alt-coins is: stay in it, when 98% have given up. then next pump will come, and you can get rid of yours for better price.
159  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [XPM] [ANN] Primecoin Release - First Scientific Computing Cryptocurrency on: December 18, 2014, 12:49:18 PM

what miner is being used with gpus for primecoin?

you can try the following miners:
Open Source XPM Pool + GPU Miner (aka. madPrimeMiner) (with updates by eXtremal)
Claymore XPM (PrimeCoin) GPU Miner
160  Economy / Speculation / Re: Let's Backtest Some Indicators on: December 18, 2014, 10:31:51 AM
With this type of indicator you could reasonably predict when the next long term spike is about to occur. Using 10 to 1 leverage you could turn 10 BTC into 12 pretty easily. (minus the fees)
