Just compare the dates in this conversation to the dates in the Prom / Smurf conversation. Prometheus is shown as having NO IDEA about a merger between XC and SDC on his conversations dated later than 10/9. This proves multiple things: 1) Obviously, Dan is NOT Prometheus 2) It proves Prometheus' relationship with Dan is really not close at all. If their relationship was close, the XC/SDC merger is surely information that Prometheus would have been aware of. Instead, Prometheus asks Smurf for a collaboration AFTER 10/9 - surely he would have mentioned something of the merger discussed on 10/9. Not to mention that the information Prometheus gives in his chat with Smurf is erroneous in several places. One question I have is, who approached who first for a merger? Did XC approach SDC first? Or did SDC approach XC first?

I would also like to clarify that Poloniex enabled trading in accordance with their agreement with us and has not acted unethically.
Furthermore they are legally obligated to keep trading open during the ITO: to fail to do so would put their customers who have open positions at a disadvantage.
Given that Poloniex were in fact clear to the people who set up the pairing that trading would be enabled, we take responsibility for this and offer our apologies.
We are thankful that Bittrex's 48 hour buy wall following the ITO will restore fairness across exchanges.

That is your opinion, but that is not true. I want to create lasting technology. I still support KEY as well, Keytrader 2.0 was recently released and had very little market impact. It's still a great tool for trading.

I wanted to make a clear and concise statement about all of this mud slinging going around.... As everybody involved with XC's knows I did numerous freelance projects, some of which Prometheus was involved in, like KeyOS and Halc. Yesterday I was so frustrated with everything that was ALREADY PUBLIC KNOWLEDGE [stated on twitter and in the XC OP/ANN] being portrayed as some type of scam.. Accusing me of being Prometheus, accusing me of being the dev. of numerous coins and half the coins in blocknet...that I simply answered no to any and all questions. None of these allegations are true, I am DAN METCALF and I have never used any other account than ATCSECURE on this forum. Nor did I ever participate into any scam's, nor would I ever... the comments about XC's POW being stopped because I was paid off is a complete fabrication. What I find most interesting about this amount of FUD is that all the information was already public, and to think that I have all these alias's on this forum is complete insanity. Any news how many BTCs are invested in Block?
500 BTC worth in alts + ~300 BTC from Bittrex + ~100 BTC from Poloniex + ? BTC from Bter. So, at a bare minimum around 900 BTC has been collected, but I am sure some BTC from Bter was collected. However, sales have come to a near halt since the FUD campaign started. I am keen on seeing how XC / BlockNET responds if / when they release an official statement. |

The way you are going about this "FUD" by ignoring it is the worst strategy you could have employed. You say "just because some internet trash gets created it does not thereby acquire substance of any sort." While this reasoning can at times hold true, it can also at times be false. Many of the claims being made have substance. Even if you do not think they have substance, the overwhelming majority of spectators & investors DO THINK they have substance. So by ignoring these claims and "writing if off" as trash, you are shooting yourself in the foot.
A legitimate question to ask is: Why does XC / BlockNET continue to work with Prometheus in light of the fact that Prometheus repeatedly states that he paid Dan for both tech & code reviews? Let me break down the logic for you:
Either,
1) Prometheus is a liar
OR
2) Dan is a liar.
Prometheus is, in effect, saying Dan is a liar (with his claims that he paid Dan for tech + code reviews).
Dan is, in effect, saying that Prometheus is a liar (with his claim that he never received any funds from Prometheus).
Possible courses of action:
1) XC / BlockNET ignore Prometheus claims yet continue to work with Prometheus --> and BlockNET's reputation is damaged (because no one can tell who is telling the truth, and in fact there is more reason to believe that Prometheus is speaking truthfully).
2) XC / BlockNET officially condemn Prometheus claims and take action by removing him & his coin from BlockNET --> and BlockNET's reputation is better off (because people can perceive that XC / BlockNET will not stand for unethical behavior, such as the lies & actions of Prometheus).
3) XC / BlockNET officially provide clarity on the situation in the chance that Dan did not tell the whole truth. Maybe Dan did receive funds from Prometheus under certain scenarios... no one will necessarily fault him for this (depending on the nature of it). But if this did occur, be transparent about it --> and BlockNET's reputation is better off than it is now.

Why was my question deleted? I fail to see how it is FUD? This is the most crucial question that I feel needs to be answered by XC in light of conflicting statements that have been said by Dan and Prometheus.
Please do not delete this, I am asking sincerely. If you read my post history I have been supporting XC through thus FUD. But the points that I raised I strongly feel cannot go unanswered.
So I will ask it again:
Why, in light of everything prometheus has said, and admitted to saying, is XC / blocknet unwilling to give up its relationship with prometheus and his coin (utilitycoin)?

Last time I checked there was no good reason to believe Prometheus's words.
Let's do this in future. Next time someone wants to discuss something related to this FUD:
- Create a thread and unequivocally show the truth of something.
- Invite us to review it.
- Once there is consensus on that thread (involving me), then the claim in question can move from being FUD from being a claim of addressing.
For now, read my statement at the end of the XC thread and take to heart what responding to baseless claims does.
The point is NOT whether or not Prometheus words are credible. The point is he said it and ADMITTED to saying it. Let's even assume that his words are not credible, which means he is LYING about his relationship with Dan, thus slandering Dan's name and projects. Why does XC & BlockNET think that this is acceptable behavior from a coin in the BlockNET? The fact is that Prometheus' words, true or not, have completely hindered the credibility of Dan and BlockNET, yet you have taken no action to distance yourselves from Prometheus or UtilityCoin (which at the moment, offer no positive benefit to BlockNET). I don't understand why you delete posts like this that ask hard questions? This is fundamental information that must be made public knowledge if you expect anyone to invest in BlockNET after today's FUD shitstorm. |
