I do not really agree to the thread starter statement about pollution from Bitcoin mining. What amount of pollution it produces? I think only the pollution he can talk about is global warming because of high end equipments used in BTC mining. It is not wasting any energy rather Bitcoin mining is utilizing it. More pollution is caused by vehicles we drive or the large manufacturing industries, we need to focus on such areas rather than talking about pollution by BTC mining which is in no way justified.
you are right. because this is only a matter of energy released from electricity. I think the actual pollution comes from vehicles, or greenhouses. maybe bitcoin minning can have that effect, however, I think it only gives a small effect. Those who are on the point of view that bitcoin creates energy pollution are totally wrong. The only pollution can be from the mining farms but if we compare it from other environmental pollution like auto industry, rubber industry etc, it is very minimal. |

I was all about telling him to buy into some BTCBTC when it was sub $300 back like 3 years ago. Just buy 1 or 2 I said - Whats $500?
He said NO, NO, NO - Not for me. So I left him alone about it.
Then come last year - When Bitcoin hit $15k - Guess what? He Buys In! *at the time I did a quick facepalm* Seriously buys in after it pumps some 50x...
Anyways - Long story short - He lost like $5k after the collapse and he sold.
Now a couple months back, I was suggesting that $3.5k bitcoin might be a good time to get in again and redeem his loses... Figuring it's like 1/4th the price he originally bought at.
And he says... "NO, NO, NO. Not for me - I learned my lesson"
No Dumb-Ass... You didn't learn shit!
Why is it - that people are so ready to buy AFTER it pumps 50X - And then cry or call BTC a scam after they lost their ass?
But won't touch BTC once it stabilizes after a collapse?

You are really lucky that you have 90% of your portfolio in BTC. The Altcoins are crashing badly and many people including me are in a big loss as we have more then 80% of the portfolio in altcoins. Although i do believe that the altcoins market will recover as soon as the BTC dominance is less. Currently BTC dominance is very high, more than 54% which is making altcoins bleeding. I have many coins in my portfolio like HOLO, ETH, XVG, CELR, Steem, EOS, NEO and lot more. The sad part is that i only hold 10% of my total crypto portfolio in BTC. |

The site still online for this day but I don't use betking to gamble. Did you have any problem with them? If yes, I think you need to clarify with them, so you know if they have a problem or not. I believe if you have any strong evidence against bitcoin. AG you should go straight and open a scam accusations against them and from the response of they representative here he try to clear the air on they past fraud issues and how it was resolved but he failed to touch the part where you said they are deleting comments on they official thread and there after locking the thread. But I guest time shall tell since they claim that the project is now under a new management.
That is what i pointed out earlier. If they have a new management, they probably are very unlucky as they have to change their impressions from the sort of shady site (i will not call it a scam site) to a trusted site. People will not easily forgot the wrong doings of the previous team. |

You need to elaborate the idea. Is this some sort of decentralized Gambling with the intervention of online casino ? The biggest problem here is that many countries ban gambling completely which is why this is possible only in certain countries where they do allow gambling by following a set f guidelines.
If you wanted to successfully implement such an idea, you would probably need to procure a license and abide by all the laws which might require KYC and that would be an issue. Not a feasible idea in my opinion.

If it is true, then it must be easy for you to prove with at least 10 valid scammed people.
