Out of curiosity, how did you guys end up arranging it? Was it paid with funds from the superblock? Impressive stuff .  The guys from Success Files actually reached out to us alone since they were looking for meaningful blockchain projects, so they got to Crown. Then all the communication was taken care of by Artem. The cost wasnt actually that huge, and I think it came from Superblock and combination of donations from Crown community. Artem has the details if interested. |

I believe that proof of stake will be available very soon, in testing already for some time. Probably a matter of days, so keep an eye on the thread!
Before PoS release, there will probably be one more mandatory wallet release in the next week or two which will fix some bugs the devs found, this is not related to PoS work (external devs lead by presstab are working and focusing on PoS). Currently PoS is still planned by end of the year, but more likely towards the end (and things might change). I would like to see it before the 15th of December, but thats just me, and I am not the dev. Best would be to PM Artem in our mattermost chat. |

Update on Network Instability
out-of-memory issue identified and mitigatedHello Crown Community, this is an update on the issue the Crown Network has been experimenting since last night around 11 PM CEST: Many nodes started to fail around September 29th 23:00 CEST. This failure was caused by an out-of-memory error. The development team was inmediately alerted. After pertinent analysis by our devs, @ashot found there is a very big amount of InstantSend transactions. One of the assumptions is that the Crown Network underwent a DDoS attack. Further research is in process in order to confirm this. The generalized failure, which would crash nodes also after restart due to an out-of-memory error, led to a split block, so that the network could not agree anymore. The block that was causing the dissensus has been identified and InstantSend has been deactivated. All transactions are currently processed in a standard way. A full analysis report will be published once the research on this issue has been completed.
