I actually enjoy programming. I think it's a lot of fun. In addition, I am learning. Just because it's a paid job doesn't mean you can't have fun doing it.
Why you sound like you're desperately looking for an investor then? lol Ofcourse, you can enjoy coding as much as you want but I just prefer to get paid for what I love doing.
I'm currently desperate for mopney in general. I havbe zero dollars in my bank account.
Have you have any idea , how much it will roughly cost?

I heard to be successful casino, you need bankroll of 100 BTC.
Quote

Highly subjective. Depends on the number of games you have, participants and obviously the types of bets you accept. 100 BTC wouldn't be a bad start but not a great start either.
I think a good idea would be if I built a crowdfunding site for this project. I can sell dividends of 70% of the casino profit. Of course, we need somebodsy trustworthy to handle the money. I am not DT2 anymore but I'm sure I can find somebody.
And there is your issue. What investor would want to invest with someone that has nothing, the risk is very high. Now if you had something other than just a rehashed idea then you would have something. Make a poker app even if it doesn't fully work, but shows you are capable of making an idea a reality. At the very least storyboard out your site.

145  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: looking to build multi crypto platform and i need a dev. budget 20btc + on: June 10, 2019, 09:21:21 PM
Hiya   Grin

As the title suggests i'm looking to build a large crypto project and i'm in search for a dev. I'm not new to crypto and I've been following this forum for a while so i'm not completely new to this industry.

Please private message me here if you have any experience. Looking for UK/US devs only.

You post up this matter but didnt go online and make some replies of this thread which it turns out that you are completely trolling or what?
If you do have that kind of budget then you can pick up those devs on free lancing sites rather than picking up newbies who are posting on here.

freelance sites like upwork and freelancer are fucking shit I have  used them in the past. they are full of outsourced crap. the good devs never use those sites because of the unfair escrow system. its fucking shit. I have a crypto project so I came to a crypto forum, is that okay with you my good noble sir?

what the fuck is with forums being full of judgemental responses these days. can someone not post without being slammed with judgement? im guessing the problem is this forum gives you rewards for shit posting, the more you shit post the higher the rank
If you ever see a post that makes no sense or doesn't actually address the issue take a quick look at the posters signature. More than likely these meaningless posts are just signature advertisements where they barely read the question and post enough characters to just barely get a point across.

As Patatas said if you post a signed message from a wallet containing a few BTC to prove you have the funds you should be able to find a reliable developer. Make sure to use escrow and don't pay fully upfront, pay per completed task / milestone.

I have a total noob question: How do you see who found a block? (ie xtremaxs). Do you have to register with kano.is in order to see that info?  Is it in the logging of cgminer, or is it on a webpage ?
If you login this page https://kano.is/index.php?k=blocks shows who found the block as well as the info you can see while not signed in.

Hello to all.

I have a lot of experience in launching startups and attracting investors - I have been doing this for two years now. But now I am tired of carrying every project to every investor and decided to launch a platform where the project will be able to show the dynamics and investors will watch this process. Today launched a site.

I would be happy to share the secrets and mechanics of attracting investment from the idea stage.

I would be very happy if I find like-minded people.
Welp my firewall rules blocked your site but good luck with whatever it is you are doing.

149  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: EU Mining Farm under costruction on: June 05, 2019, 05:52:54 PM
Right, even if costs in our "business" is not all (security, air filters, company reliability...)
Anyway we plan a go to the market from 0,12€/Kwh for "little" miners to 0,09€/Kwh for "professional miners". VAT/Assistance/Installation/Everything else included.
What do you think?

Prices in USD**

Most large firms that get their miners hosted won't get out of bed for over 5c/kwh, the ones that do pay more than that tend to not do so well down the line. Of course if BTC goes to the moon suddenly then they profited but if a similar occurrence to last year happens again they won't be around long. This isn't just for power but all inclusive.

For the smaller miners, some will pay those high fees, but good luck filling 4.5MW with small miners as that's a lot of customers + you'll also need customer support for that many people, if  you only had 20 smaller customers you might get a few emails a day asking questions or requesting something be done good luck with a few hundred.

As far as self mining goes if you get under the large firm price for yourself then you should be smooth sailing and any hosted customer is just extra but that is based on about 50% self mining.

Meehn, these days you can never get bitcoin for free, you will have to invest/give something to get what you need and that's it. If you think that faucets are going to help you,  then you're just wasting time cause that's never going to work. The worst part of it all is the annoying ads that faucets shows these days,  they show a lot of ads and they are most of the times not properly arranged and you will be finding it difficult to make a claim.  Sometimes they automatically direct you to another website without your permission and that's the most annoying part of it and after all the wasting of time, you still get nothing but just penny, lol.
This was the case always, most faucets paid out from their ad revenue. Even way back when the first faucet was out, you'd just get a few penny's but now years later when the BTC price is 100 x higher those penny's aren't penny's. Of course now the sites have adjusted the amount of satoshi's given but from what I've seen they still provide the same general USD they did back then.

As for the bold text, besides back at the beginning when BTC was "worthless" and people were just sending it to send yeah you can't get money for free. Even back then sending 5 BTC was like sending a few dollars.

Basically everything is relative.

Do you know the pinout for the ftdi to connect it to the miner? or would any console cable work?

okay 2100 works fine.

as 14.5 x 150 = 2175 watts.

so popcorn is pushing gear hard in a hot room and so far it holds up.

that's cool (pun intended).

Yes sir, it still held up all weekend averaging 30.5-32th/s in +110F temps.

The 97F was in an AC'd room however it had poor airflow so I think the area around the miner just warmed up.

12.35 volts and 150 amps is what the sticker says, however it supposedly can adjust in real-time between 12-14.5V and model number suggests it's rated for 2100 watts.

I believe this it is the PSU supplied by Avalon and I was told it auto adjusted, this is the standard miner so no turbo mode.

Pretty sure he means one is out of the factory / testing area and is actually in someone's hands.

Measured power draw is in the OP about 2kW but it should be noted that this is due to the heat, the miner itself is right around 31TH on the pool and goes between 30-32. The miner is doing everything to stay at the target hashrate even in the extreme temperatures / power draw increase is being caused by the loss of efficiency due to the heat. *Based on the temps and power draw it is right around par with what occurred in testing except I think in their video they only went up to ~40C.

I lol'd a bit at the welecom.

The distributor deals with medium-large customers, if anyone is looking for 50+ shoot me a PM and I'll get you their contact info.

And it's running at 109F per yer sshot? Woof!

Got it hovering at a nice 118 Wink seeing what it can handle and how it handles it.
158  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Avalon A1041 on: May 29, 2019, 07:12:47 PM
Any questions or requests?

Looking good. What's the sound like? I haven't been keeping up on the Avalons is this the version that doesn't require a controller?

Sound is very similar to the 851, I don't have it segregated but if I had to guess it is just a bit less than the hum of the 851's. Decibel meter reads between 68-75 but there are other machines and large fans also in the background.

So I take it that for folks who ordered early the A10's have started shipping?

Not to my knowledge, a distributor sent this one for testing.
159  Bitcoin / Hardware / Avalon A1041 Review on: May 29, 2019, 07:12:21 PM
So a quick little review of the A1041.

Physical Dimensions:

Height:         11.5in
Width:          7.5in with PSU
PSU width:    2.25in
Depth:          7.5in
Without Fan: ~6in (depth without fan)

The login and dashboard pages are slightly different than the previous generations. And by slightly I mean very. But it is very intuitive.

Hashrate:

125
Displayed Average: 31.4 TH (60min)
Pool Average:         35TH (10min) | 27TH (60min)

97
Displayed Average: 31.8 TH (60min)
Pool Average:         33TH (10min) | 32TH (60min)

Power Draw:
240 3 phase**
2000-2200W @ 125F
1900-2000W @ 97F

**The operating environment is above 40C which will account for the increase in power from advertised specs. The miner will be moved around to be tested at different temperatures including manufacturer recommended 25-35C.

Some small issues:

When changing the pool there only seems to be an apply option and nothing to reset/restart cgminer. After entering in the new pool you need to reboot the miner.

Pool Config:

PSU Side:

Popin back in.

Got a few more in today with the bigger PSU. The bigger PSU does not mount onto the A10, it might just be a development / prototype.

Had a small issue with the first one that was setup it seems to be reporting two bad hashboards, but the second one out of the box seems to work fine.

It is daisy chained to the first one in the OP running two different firmware's and they seem to be getting along fine. From the looks of it the controllers just pass through, I'll need to check on the next one that gets setup but it looked like it won't work with DHCP and I had to set them to static because the default dns wasn't replying.

So far I'm liking them, my only real complaint is having to login so much as it keeps kicking me out of the ui.

Now I'll reiterate that these numbers are in extreme temps but in the short term it looks like in turbo mode:

Poolside - 38-40TH/s
UI         - 35 TH/s
Power Consumption ~ 2.7-2.9kw

Power consumption in turbo is also a calculated estimate as the original A10 is running on the same meter, I'll split it off at some point and get a reading on just the turbo mode.

Notes:

Software - This version of the software is not final and is still being developed, anything software related may change at any time.
