The last five boxes of this series will be available soon. Taking reservations now.
Will these be all sold as full boxes?

Hi, PassThePopcorn.
Good question. Depending on interest for solo chips a minimum of 3 boxes (up to all 5) will be made available for direct purchase.
Just sent my payment for the coins I reserved. Thank you very much.

You're welcome, the price one is price per PH at least from what nicehash is currently using on sha256 and it's based on an average price of all orders they have. I'd read their documentation on it if you wanted better information.

I never tested nicehash  on the 841's I can try to if I need to do any tests with them in the future. But with the 851's they seemed to work without the xnsub using the 20180628 Canaan official firmware the only time I ever saw them leave the pool was when the price was under the threshold I set and their hashrates all seemed to be stable and the speeds I was expecting.
243  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Can I SUE A Crypto Ponzi PROMOTER? on: April 05, 2019, 08:07:13 PM
Hi, I got convinced by someone to invest in what I now think is a Crypto Ponzi Scheme Platform that said it could earn 10%+ a month in ROI. The person who convinced me didn't own the platform/company, they were simply a "Referral Marketer" that used that platform's "Referral Link" as apart of their Referral Program. The person would gain 5% of my daily profits from the Platform for referring me.

The platform has locked my money in there (which is allowed according to their T&C) + my profits have dwindled to 1% a month.

---
I want to sue the person who referred me to this platform, but they think otherwise:

Their Argument

- They don't own the platform and are simply "affiliate marketers" for it by using the referral link

- They left the country and live elsewhere (but promoted this platform to me in my country)

My Argument

- They didn't have a financial services license (but Bitcoin in my country is not considered a financial product)

- They didn't have a registered company

Does this mean I could sue the person who referred me too? Or Could I only sue the company behind the actual ponzi platform?

Please let me know if I can sue this person + the costs, process, etc. And if it's worth it at all. I've invested $40,000 and my money is stuck on this platform.

I just remember a quote from one of my business class teachers in college who was a lawyer.

"You can sue anyone for any reason, the real question is will you win".

Contact a lawyer in your country and ask them, if they don't want to take the case, you have your answer. Most law firms will take a case if they feel they can make money doing so.

I've used the 851's on nicehash without a real issue (hashrates all seemed normal), I didn't set xnsub because that wouldn't work but they seemed to work fine without it. I also selected a specific price to mine for and would highly suggest putting in the difficulty parameter when using more than one avalon on a pi.
Most pools will allow for parameters to be passed in the password field.
d: difficulty (ie d=14000)
p: price(ie p=0.030) this is a nicehash specific parameter.

I remember the Burger King pokeballs. Any chance you can post a picture / possibly PM me, I have to look and see which ones I have which might take some time as they aren't with me, so you can put my pm at the back of the line.
You don't allow PM's from newbies but copy-paste:

http://tinypic.com/r/1zokk0z/9

I pulled them out of the pokeballs for ease, the 2 in the middle do have the COA - it's just inside the plastic case.
The pokeball holders themselves due to age started to do that slightly yellow tinge thing on some of them.

But:
Jiggly puff x2 - COA in original plastic sleeve
Charizard x2 - COA in original plastic sleeve
Mewtwo - COA in original plastic sleeve
Mewtwo - COA inside case
Togepi - COA inside case

Edit addition:
Togepi - COA in original plastic sleeve
I just noticed the no newbie thing, I've been inactive for a period of time and that must have been a new addition to the forums. I've fixed it now.

Thanks for the pics / list let me figure out what I have and what I'd like. Your coins look cool as well. Do you have any prices in mind for any of the things you are selling or is it more of a give me an offer type thing.
246  Economy / Digital goods / Re: [WTB] VCC for Vultr Verification. on: April 05, 2019, 07:05:36 PM

I don't have any intention to misuse, I want it to run some seo softwares... Currently my desktop is overloaded and that's the main reason.
Not sure what they need to verify my identity yet, I will check about this later.

I mainly wanted to know if there is a reason to ban someone due to the VCC...
Afaik, I can pay with btc later once I verify with VCC but is there any chance of getting ban if I get caught for using VCC.

I just don't want to risk my account, for this reason I haven't bought any ready made account.

There shouldn't be, some banks / credit cards offer the ability to create VCC's the main purpose of them is so you don't need to provide your actual credit card information to a source that you are unsure of. The VCC links to your credit card / bank account and is only permitted to use a certain amount of funds, it's mostly so bad actors can't attempt to charge you more later or for anyone to steal money from you.

I've never used vultr but have reported accounts that were doing things they shouldn't be, like trying to access my network.
247  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Avalon 8 official specs released on: April 05, 2019, 06:25:55 PM
This seems to be one of the better firmware releases recently. Only tested on 851's.

There only seems to be a few issues with this, the power consumption in the "higher" mode is on the verge of 1900watts @ 15th/s the June release was  more around 1700-1800w @ 15th/s.

Balanced seems to give around 13th @ 1400-1500w

Low power is around 9th @ 900w

Trying one of their advanced cgminer-api commands and using their cgminer-monitor bash script there is an issue with cgminer restarting over and over (this is only if you use an advanced command and is fine if you aren't using that specific command), I made a work around bash script that  fixed this and will send it to Avalon for them to clean it up as I macgyvered it to make it work as intended.

The api frequency adjustment works properly in this release as well, instead of using the more options on the configuration section.

Now using the June release you can get similar results for power consumption / efficiency by manually changing the frequency and voltages in the cgminer config, but for a novice that wanted to use the lower power mode or if you want any of their more advanced commands this release would be "better". If you were a novice and just were going to use this in normal operational / high efficiency I would just use the latest June release to have a lower power footprint.

Also gave you some merit as I wasn't aware of an April release, my previous tests were on March and February. This release also fixed two miners that the March release broke.

250  Economy / Digital goods / Re: [WTB] VCC for Vultr Verification. on: April 04, 2019, 09:19:07 PM
I'm looking to buy a VCC for Vultr account verification. Only looking for the working VCC, no hunky punky, please.

My budget is only $5 for this. If anyone wants more than $5 then I'm requesting you not to post here or pm me.

A silly question to a knowledgable person...
If I verify Vultr account with VCC then do I have any risk in future of getting a ban?

I tried to verify with my Payoneer, but it seems they are not accepting it.  Sad
If you do something wrong with your account they'll ban you.
If you verify your identity with false information and they find out they'll likely ban you also.

If you do nothing wrong then I don't see why they would have any reason to look into your account if the automated process accepts the VCC.
251  Economy / Goods / Re: Luxury Home for sale. Serious buyers only. on: April 01, 2019, 09:32:26 PM
All it's missing is a big underground bunker.

But it looks amazing. I really hope you find a buyer that will take care of it. Is this your home, are you someone who was just working on it, a real estate agent etc.?

253  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Help with Avalon & Cgminer status report on: April 01, 2019, 07:02:30 PM
There are also other commands that will give different results. Most of the info you need should be in stats.
254  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Help with Avalon & Cgminer status report on: April 01, 2019, 03:54:30 PM
Using the cgminer-api command will work for this. If you are logged in over ssh:

Code:
cgminer-api stats
cgminer-api <command>

If you are connecting another way it would depend on how you are connecting / requesting the information. Command information as well as examples are on the cgminer github.

What's in the /config/ folder when you SSH into it?
258  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Current List of Competitive Hardware - December 2018 on: January 02, 2019, 01:42:19 AM
... anyone  try new firmware for t15 and or s15?

That's what the S15 I was referencing was using. The 12/5 version
259  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Current List of Competitive Hardware - December 2018 on: December 30, 2018, 11:37:20 PM
List has been updated to include the T15 as Bitmains current product and the most efficient advertised gear @.06 J/GH using their Low Power mode.

I will update with the S15 once delivered and on spec.

Sent this to you over PM also

https://imgur.com/a/Detmq3h

My biggest issue is the locked down firmware that doesn't allow SSH. If you'd like to know before  I get the pictures, LPM is around 900 watts @ ~16V input, controller pulls 12V and hashrate is about 18Th/s. Without LPM it pulls around 1620w @ between 18-20V with the controller pulling 12V and a hashrate between 27 and 29th/s, most of the time it's in the 28TH range.
260  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Bitmain will be releasing S15 and T15 on 8/11/2018 on: December 26, 2018, 11:10:12 PM
Bitmain released today Firmwares for the S15 and T15.
The T15s is newer. Since it is operating I am not going to flash this.
Anyone have any observations either model??

The S15 seems to work as advertised, however there doesn't seem to be a way to SSH into it. The dropbear daemon is there but it is set to not allow connections. Does the T15 allow for SSH?

After it got up to speed it was using 18V, but was using 20V until it started.

The S15 also seems to use cgminer and not bmminer as previous miners use.

Good job getting your hands on it a little early that way.

Can you post a screenshot of the miner status, and maybe a pic or 2 of the miner? It would be nice to see it in action and confirm they have something close to spec hitting the market.

The S15 images look identical to Swisher828's T15 images.
