141  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Stuck transaction for 17 days on: August 17, 2017, 10:49:43 PM
What should I do since some of the coins came back but not all of them. about 30% have come back.

It's called "change" https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Change
I wouldn't advice you to send those coins are they are not confirmed yet.

For now the most important things:
-make sure your wallet.dat is safe: keep a backup (or more than one) in a safe place
-do not send your wallet.dat to anybody who may ask you (also in private messages)
-do not send any private keys to anybody

Good advice.

@blaklab If it's possible for you, please post transaction ID.
144  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Release the hounds : 45.8 BTC stolen - electrum-wallet.com CRIMINAL sticky pls on: August 17, 2017, 09:24:30 AM
I thank you all for the support and help you provided, xdev,  escrow.ms and all others that have sent me PM and posted here willing to help.

Bittrex has locked the said account but it seems the coins were moved many days ago. If someone can confirm that, please do.

Even if funds are moved, they should be able to tell withdrawal addresses.

OP all your bitcoins went to bittrex and I'm sure they will be able to tell who owns that account since ID verification is required for trading.

150  Economy / Services / Re: Ethereum Wallet Restore on: August 12, 2017, 06:46:28 PM
So I tried installing the Ethereum wallet on my computer, and now its been almost 2 weeks, 3 days of continious download, even if I use GETH and --fast with 8gb of ram, with no luck. Not sure what has happened, but I'm not completely computer dumb. First off, I backed up my keystore file with the little amount of ether I had in it, then uninstalled, and reinstalled it. No help.

Here's my delima, I need someone thats trustable to download my wallet, and I'll give them $1 of the $5.30 total thats in it. I know its not alot, but if someone that has some trust wants to do it, I'll gladly pay them the buck.  Please post comments on suggestions or if you are able to do this, let me know and I'll send you my keystore file. Thanks community.
Edit: You said keystore file, why don't you use myetherwallet.com ?
Click on "send ether and tokens" and select "keystore file" option.

152  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin ABC wallet stole my BTC ! on: August 12, 2017, 10:44:58 AM
my BTC balance is still showing on blockchain.info so that's a relief.
my local blockchain is still 29 hours behind.

Many people were actually saying that you should move your BTC to a different address before you spend your BCH. Fortunately your money is safe. Be more careful next time.

I thought if you moved your BTC to a new address then you wouldn't have any BCH anymore because it would be post-split ? I thought this was a very careful way of doing it!
No, You just needed to store bitcoins in your wallet till 1st aug, after that you can spend your bitcoins and still have BCC on that same empty wallet.

Yes because bitcoin ABC uses same directory as bitcoin core.

(edit) - I am guessing that the ABC wallet has corrupted my local Blockchain - do i need to delete my local blockchain and start downloading it again now?!!!

Yes, that might be possible, I think you should import private keys in a different wallet and check your bitcoin balance. You can use blockchain.info or mycellium for android.

You don't have to send it to me, just upload it in OP:
Sorry but I can't add it in public right now as I will using them in my trial.
I will send them via PM.
Didn't you say that you've uploaded some stuff to Google Drive? I thought that was already somewhere in the thread (I'm having trouble finding it).

No i sent that link via PM to those who have given negative feedback, before making this thread. I have removed it because you asked me to upload it on imgur/zerobin and those were PDF files which included his bank statement as well and text chat log of my whatsapp chat. I have to take screenshots of my conversation with sumair on whatsapp otherwise you won't be able to link text with images I've sent or received.

158  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Did My Software Uninstall Itself? on: August 11, 2017, 07:52:09 PM
So does that mean that, if I reinstall, I won't have to re-download the entire blockchain again from scratch?

Yes that's correct. It will just overwrite core software, everything else is safe.
159  Economy / Reputation / Re: My sincere apologies to everyone. (Escrow.ms) on: August 11, 2017, 07:46:34 PM
I was following your case the moment it hit the news and if the things you have said is true i am really sad to hear the plight you are in,yes the chances of you being fucked up for not looking at the source of the money is really high and it hit you really hard and this is a clear warning for every trader who does business, never do deals without having a proper check about the source of money, hope you could provide the evidence and prove your innocence in court .
Good luck buddy.

Thank you so much.
160  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Accidentally sent BTC to BCC wallet on: August 11, 2017, 06:07:11 PM
Thanks for the response. I tried this method, but when I have to select which coin I want, Bitcoin Cash isn't listed.

I tried selecting Btcoins, but the address I sent the BTCs to doesn't populate. Am I missing something?
Try to go to the "BIP32" tab in the "Derivation Path" section and write:

M/44H/0H/0H in the "BIP32 Derivation Path" field.

See if you manage to get it to work.

OP you can try this but If it doesn't works, just try to contact coinomi. I'm sure they will add bcc support on their recovery tool.
