141  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: !!HELP US GROW!! on: April 05, 2024, 12:42:07 AM
I’m not yet familiar with your platform and your game. I think one of the major reasons for a casino to stand out depends on the unique experience you offer to players. In my opinion, even if you collaborate with influencers to gain more traffic on the website or introduce it to new players, the major challenge lies in their retention or whether they will keep playing to become regular players. Often, when you prioritize marketing over improvements to the platform itself, they might just see it as what it appears to be, whether it's worth trying, and if they do try it and are not satisfied or comfortable with the gameplay, they might leave immediately and not return. So, it's all about managing expectations.
142  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Number of new memecoin traders hits record high on: April 04, 2024, 10:35:00 PM
Let's remember that for every success story, there are likely many more cases of loss. Those who invest in meme coins should approach with a clear understanding and recognition of the risks involved. For me, it's a gamble, with enticing stories of life-changing gains. But there's some truth to the greater fool theory with meme coins; someone might get lucky early on, but it's not sustainable for everyone to win. I'd be more comfortable with a memecoin that has some kind of utility or an established development team, rather than just riding the hype or FOMO and being used for short-term profit or a get-rich-quick scheme.
143  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Have you considered staking? on: April 04, 2024, 09:36:26 PM
It depends on the platform how much APR you'll get from staking ETH, on Binance, as per checking and writing now it's 3.82%; on Trust Wallet, it's 3.52%; and on Kucoin, it's 3.7%. As mentioned by another user, this probably changes depending on the volume of the total stake. I've been hearing about staking for a while now, but I don't know how it helps with the security and decentralization of the network.
144  Other / Off-topic / Re: How much gambling can change a person and how low his mind can go. on: April 04, 2024, 05:46:58 AM
It seems like I can feel the weight and brokenness of the father as I read your story. I think it's not too late for their child to recover from gambling addiction and rebuild their lives. I'm thinking, are they a family-oriented bunch? If not, perhaps they lack open communication and spend quality time together, which could lead the child to unhealthy habits. If the father needs guidance or assistance, they could consider seeking help from rehab to support them through counseling. Sometimes, they don't choose to become addicted, but they can choose to get help.
145  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Ano nangyari?
146  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Need some ideas on: April 04, 2024, 02:25:27 AM
Maybe you can consider this, and it could help:

  • Explain the Unspendable Transaction Output (UTXO) model which is the core concept in Bitcoin and understanding it helps users grasp how transactions work on the network.
  • Differentiate between confirmation times and block times to clarify how transaction settlement works on the Bitcoin network. You can have a short activity where participants need to find the current block time and estimate confirmation times for different fees.
  • Crypto Wallet Setup and Security Best Practices for Bitcoin wallets to guide participants through setting up a Bitcoin wallet and emphasize best practices for security, such as 2FA, using hardware wallets, and backing up private keys. You can create a list of best practices and ask them to identify phishing attempts or unsafe wallet practices to earn rewards.
  • Crypto-related Quizzes or Trivia to organize periodic quizzes or trivia contests covering various aspects of cryptocurrency, including history, technology, economics, and current events.

By the way, what's your Facebook group, OP? Maybe we can also join to gain more knowledge or broaden our understanding because as you know, nobody knows everything.
147  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Has anyone here ever visited El Salvador and tried paying with bitcoin there? on: April 03, 2024, 10:08:46 PM
I remember a discussion we had here in our local before where the question was, would you spend a million dollars for citizenship?

This program aims to attract wealthy crypto and property investors who want to enjoy the benefits of being a citizen of El Salvador, such as visa-free or visa-on-arrival access to 150 countries including the EU, the U.K., all Latin America, and most of Eastern Europe.

It's not just a simple financial investment; it's a huge decision that will open new opportunities for you. But it's also very risky; we know that given the volatility of crypto, we can't predict what changes may occur in the future.
If I were one of those wealthy individuals, I still wouldn't choose to join that program. Instead, I would expand my current business to provide jobs for some of our citizens.

But if you have a lot of money or hold Bitcoin and you can afford to travel there, why not, right? Maybe it's okay to just visit and stay for a week just to experience using Bitcoin as a legal tender in that country.
148  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: "Quantum computing" on: April 03, 2024, 02:49:11 PM
As I was reading through the research, researchers are actively working on developing cryptographic algorithms that are resistant to attacks from quantum computers. These quantum-resistant algorithms, such as lattice-based cryptography and hash-based signatures, could be adopted to replace the vulnerable cryptographic schemes currently in use.

The first question that came to my mind is how they can develop quantum-resistant cryptography when quantum computers are still in their early stages and it might take 10-15 years to reach a level that threatens blockchains. And what if quantum computing surpasses blockchains, breaking their security before quantum-resistant measures are fully implemented?
149  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Blackjack Situational Q&A on: April 03, 2024, 01:16:04 PM
Blackjack is my favorite card game to play. When I play it, I don't have a permanent strategy; it's often just a gut feeling or intuition. I only really consider two options: either hit or stand. I don't pay attention to splitting or doubling down. I didn't even know there was a cashout with loss option; I've never encountered that in the casinos I've played at before.

Back to the discussion, for me, it's a tough call. The gambler in me might be tempted to hit, hoping for a card that doesn't bust my hand but significantly improves it. Maybe I could do that in the early bets or when I'm just starting my session, but later on, I'm making the decision that feels right for me at the moment.

151  Local / Pilipinas / Re: TUTORIAL PARA MAACCESS PARIN SI BINANCE KAHIT WALANG VPN NA GINAGAMIT on: April 03, 2024, 12:51:12 PM
Ung DNS change walang kaso un kasi ginagamit mo parin ung IP address mo.

-snip
kabayan salamat dito sa tutorial , lahat kami eh nagpapasalamat sayo though meron naba nakatry gamitin to?

152  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Have you considered staking? on: April 02, 2024, 11:58:19 PM
Just out of curiosity,I went to the official website of Ethereum and found that the annual interest rate is only 3.3%.
https://ethereum.org

Is that the official website you're referring to where you saw information about staking with a 3.3% APY?

The interest rate you can earn will vary depending on the platform you use.

Remember the security risks, staking involves locking up your cryptocurrency for some time. This means that you will not be able to access it during that time. There is also the risk of hacking or other security breaches.
153  Local / Pamilihan / Re: Gambling winning streak on: April 02, 2024, 09:44:12 AM
Wow , 7 days na kabayan? grabe never ko naisip na mangyayari sakin ang ganito and nakakatuwa lang na pinapakita mong hindi ka greedy gamblers kasi kung sa iba yan na nanananalo na ng ganyang streak eh sigurado maghahabol na ng mas malaking panalo , congrats kabayan and keep up the good work.

Nagtuloy-tuloy pa kabayan hanggang 14 days, at winithdraw ko na nga after 2 weeks of playing everyday. Now ko nga lang to nagawa kasi dati sa isang araw nakaka ilang ulit ako magbet after ng 1 hour na pahinga, nahinto lang ako kapag na reach ko na yung target profit, ayun nauuwi lang lagi sa pagka busted, kasi the more na pinahaba yung paglalaro, darating talaga sa point na mauubos bankroll mo.

-snip
154  Other / Meta / Re: It's April Fool Day but is it allowed on: April 01, 2024, 11:54:39 PM
Soliciting Bitcoins, even as a joke, can potentially be misleading or misinterpreted by others. Scams aren't cool any day of the year. Even if it's a joke, it can be hard to tell online and might trick someone out of their money.

Even if you think it's a joke, someone might take it seriously and lose money.

It’s not acceptable to post such content, even if it’s intended as a joke.

156  Economy / Gambling / Re: does betonline.com send an sms when you sign up? on: March 29, 2024, 11:24:27 PM
Some online betting platforms also use SMS for verification during the signup process as part of their security measures.

You should review the terms of service of the platform you're using, they typically outline their policies on VPN usage. Many platforms prohibit VPN usage due to concerns about fraud, compliance with regional regulations, and ensuring fair play. Violating these terms could result in penalties, including the forfeiture of funds. Always ensure you're complying with the platform's terms and conditions to avoid any issues.

I think the best way is to reach out directly to their customer support for clarification.
157  Economy / Gambling / Re: FORTUNEJACK.COM |Deposit 777 play with 1777 mBTC |Live Casino, Slots, Betting on: March 29, 2024, 09:16:09 AM
Same here, I’m just hoping for the 10k too.

Here's my pick for the 30 Matchday:

Isak
Edouard
Solanke
Watkins
Rashford
Salah
Haaland

So Wilfried Zaha has already left Crystal Palace, so Edouard is now my 2nd pick, he’s shown good form this season and could be a surprise pick.
158  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Whatever happened to decentralized marketplaces? on: March 29, 2024, 08:12:10 AM
Perhaps it’s because they know that when it’s decentralized, it’s not as user-friendly as exchanges. I think they need to find ways to simplify the user experience and we know that it’s not yet accessible to a broader audience due to adoption. And the major issue is addressing regulatory concerns. If decentralization doesn’t work out with regulators, then frameworks that promote innovation without compromising safety can’t be established. So, regulations have a big impact on the growth and adoption of decentralized marketplaces. Regulatory clarity is essential for these marketplaces to operate effectively. The lack of clear regulations could lead to uncertainty and risk, deterring some users and investors.

It seems Parcl is operational and continuing its services, unlike OpenBazaar which announced the closure of its servers in January 2021.
159  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Just because some meme coin or other low Cap coin listed don't mean it's over on: March 29, 2024, 07:49:14 AM
I am one of those who did not get swayed into investing in meme coins, I can’t handle the high-risk high reward. I never fell for these memecoins even when they were trending. Why would you invest here when you know that the very developer of the coin might exit? I don’t trust those that only rely on liquidity and don’t have any utility. Because these kinds of coins won’t last and will disappear quickly, I don’t give in to FOMO, unlike others who just want quick profits.
160  Economy / Economics / Re: Church Business on: March 29, 2024, 06:06:03 AM
I don’t see it as a business. Maybe the wealth you see in pastors or priests is something they already had, or it could also be their family's wealth. As far as I know, it's expensive to study if you want to become a priest, so only wealthy people can afford to pursue that path. The growth of churches can be seen as a positive sign of increased religious devotion and community building. Churches often provide important services to their communities, such as charity work and spiritual guidance.

The wealth accumulated by some pastors could be used to further these community services. The primary purpose of a church is not to generate wealth but to serve as a place of worship and community. If a church or pastor is primarily focused on wealth accumulation, it could be seen as a deviation from these core values.
