141  Economy / Speculation / Re: Hoping for Bitcoin to drop on: August 25, 2017, 10:18:56 AM
I can see your point. But if you are wishing Bitcoin to drop just so you can buy, then you are wrong. Every time Bitcoin is increasing and you might today is late but today can even be early. Because as time passes by Bitcoin is increasing and increasing. It would be your lose if you would just wait for it to go down. Better buy now than its too late. Its not necessarily buying a whole Bitcoin but you can buy small amount of it then you can use that at least for trading.
142  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The Unbanked on: August 25, 2017, 09:31:34 AM
The point is to encourage unbanked people to be a part on banking economy, isn't it?
- to lend money and suffer under high interest?
- to store their money and get charged every month and for certain transactions?

Look at this; A customer should download the mobile application and sign the processing of personal data agreement. ”A phone can tell a lot more about customers than they agree to tell by their own. Moreover, an access to a mobile phone will give more diverse and reliable information than a passport or other papers can,”
the Big Data platform drives all the data received from the phone through neural networks, analyzes the result, and evaluate a customer’s trustworthiness.

It seems like an application to get private information from everyone through mobile phone. Who wants to download such apps? Lol Grin

Well in my place most of the adults don't trust banks because it was accustomed to them to stash it somewhere safe in there house. Other adults here doesn't trust the internet because they don't have site or touch on there money and probably there was this investment scam that affected a whole city. Even trying to explain the benefit of banks for loans, they wouldn't want there name to be directly connected to any banks.
143  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Distribution of all BTCs existing, interesting link... on: August 25, 2017, 09:10:24 AM
Just in case you don't know this link, very interesting and updated very often :

https://bitinfocharts.com/top-100-richest-bitcoin-addresses.html

Most of these are exchange cold wallets.

Realistically, there are lots of addresses that have more and we simply don't know about given they are not public.

Well I can see that there are also a lot of small traders or even different addresses are made every single transactions. Probably i can see that those are some accounts in the forum of whom each has different addresses. Even if we total the other addresses with .002 or more, .001 average is still too many and probably there are others accounts that was used for single transaction only.
144  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin, is it worth spending time collecting it? on: August 24, 2017, 08:44:35 PM
Is it worth spending time to collect Bitcoin rather than having a daily job? What I mean is that can bitcoin be more economical? Has it ever happened that people lose their investment value rather than benefit from spending it on bitcoin?

Of course it's worth spending time collecting Bitcoin but it doesn't mean that it's better than having a daily job. Until Bitcoin is a sure thing, a stable and continuous source of income, one should not wholly depend on it. One can still be keen on their daily jobs and can collect Bitcoins on the same time. Learn to multitask! And of course investments has its risks. Its not always a win, its not always a profit. Bitcoin is a volatile market, I think its expected that you have a few bumps down the market road.
145  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Would Bitcoin ending up like Yahoo in the future? on: August 24, 2017, 08:36:55 PM
Yahoo was the first (?) search engine at the time when Internet started.  It was the pioneer in its field.  In the late 90's its market cap reached to a high closed to $120B.   Three and a half years after Yahoo started, Google came out and gradually took away market share from Yahoo.

After 22 years, Verizon bought it for $4.8B.  Would Bitcoin ending up like Yahoo in the future and got beat up by new competitions?

What do you think?  Please provide your reason(s) to support your view.

Bitcoin will not be the first and it will not be the last cryptocurrency the world will ever see. It is highly possible that Bitcoin will be replaced by something else. It can be a new and improved Bitcoin or it could be something entirely else. Sooner or later, a new crypto will come that is newer, better, upgraded, and more stable than the last. Innovations will be made. It will be more user-friendly and can be more adaptable. It will be more accepted and be more of value. But it cannot be denied that Bitcoin may not be the first digitized currency but it has laid the foundations of the modern cryptocurrency.
146  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: When will be see bitcoin as international currency? on: August 24, 2017, 07:43:30 PM
As people are awarding of bitcoin & its potential. When we can see bitcoin as international currency? Huh

It is already used internationally. Bitcoin is being paid and received by different people by all over the world. But sadly just because its used internationally doesn't mean that its also accepted internationally. The use of bitcoin is global but not everyone in the globe is using it, you get me? Its still not accepted as payment by most merchant for its volatility and not still considered currency for its instability. But that doesn't mean its not ever going to be a currency.
147  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin just an asset ? on: August 24, 2017, 07:23:08 PM
I have read in the news that that like bitcoin as virtual currencies are assets and does not have the characteristics or what it takes to be a currency that could meet our modern economic needs. It was said that it does not have the fundamental attributes. What are your thoughts about it?

Bitcoin is what we make of it. But we can't make Bitcoin do things it can't. It can be used as currency for buying some things online, for some online gambling, and remittance. It is an asset, an investment. But we have to admit that right now it cannot meet our macro economic needs. It cannot substitute a country's economic budget from billions of dollars to bitcoin. It cannot finance countries that needs to lend money like IMF does. It cannot even meet our micro, personal economic needs. Bitcoin is still not at the stage to be used in grocery shopping or commuting. But it doesn't mean that Bitcoin doesn't have the characteristics of becoming a currency that can meet our every needs. Just give it time.
148  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Worst mistake in gambling on: August 24, 2017, 03:04:46 PM
The worst mistake I made in gambling is to discover it, for me to walk away from the reality is that you are always losing the money. So why do we go to a place where we are always losing the money? Eventually, this doesn't make sense to keep doing that. I can't give you alternative activities, like exercise, keeping occupied and what's so ever. That's up to you if you have the effort to do it. But something must click. Pay your bills, live simply, that's how you will treat your life, spend on some booze and hook up with a hoe. It's better than sorry.
149  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How to quit Gambling for good? on: August 24, 2017, 02:44:54 PM
I guess gambling is everywhere so we really need to learn how to live in this world without gambling. To quit gambling is to kill that persona (the gambler) in your mind. I suggest if you want to exclude yourself into gambling find someone to do lots of meeting that will help you, like your friend/s, family, strangers, to have fun with a people not in a thing. I have always said gambling is the only mental activity I can think of that gives me that rush but I'm wrong. Look outside on your window that there are other activities that can give the same rush you're looking for.
150  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why is gambling so addicting? on: August 24, 2017, 01:30:59 PM
Gambling addiction has its own qualities that may be worse than others such as alcohol, cigarette, ect,,. Most other addictions have killed whoever has them. Not so with gambling, it keeps you alive and in suffering and self torture. Some people end their own lives due to the dark hole as with other addictions too. They all can lead to downfall, madness and prison. The healthiest way through a problem is to look for the solution. As I remember, my last bet took me to losing my pay in one day. I felt so sick and disgusted in myself too.
151  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Giving up gambling is not easy on: August 24, 2017, 01:17:45 PM
If you have an illness into gambling which requires treatment for you to recover from it. I strongly recommend to do more than self exclude. In my opinion giving up is a choice, if you're still into gambling to destroy yourself and take much than money. You really need to understand the fully gravity of your situation. Attempt to make how you feel right now in a positive way perhaps you can have a better way of thinking and living.

152  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: can gambling give you lessons in life? on: August 24, 2017, 11:45:24 AM
Once a tragic will happen in your life that's the time you will realize something important in your life. Such a lonely time for you to feel the pain and learn from your lost. Everyone has gone through a a very similar situation in life, don't give in though as you know only make it worse. Just keep up in life.

153  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling loses and wins on: August 18, 2017, 04:02:10 AM
You’ve said it yourself that your greed is your own downfall, that should be warning enough for you. Cut your losses early. Do not get used to the mentality that you could always win back your losses. It works but not all the time. Some of the time it leads to rage gambling and addiction. Winning is an illusion if you don't know yet, it will cost you a lot of money for you to understand what is the real meaning of gambling. It's better to invest your money into something profitable than to waste your money on nothing.
154  Other / Off-topic / Re: Job Vs Bitcoin on: August 18, 2017, 03:36:24 AM
Do you earn more in Bitcoin? Do you have a stable flow of income through Bitcoin? Do you have enough money that you could live of off while you focus on earning Bitcoin? If not, then don’t quit your job. Bitcoin is volatile, fickle and unstable so you need something steady, uncomplicated, and surety way source of income. You can do both, you know. Learn to multitask. If you don't think you have no future in Bitcoin then quit and find a stable job in real life to sustain your daily needs.
155  Economy / Speculation / Re: Should I cash out my BTC now? on: August 18, 2017, 03:17:43 AM
It depends on the situation. If i have necessities that I have to buy or pay then I cash out my Bitcoin.  If there’s nothing urgent then I let it stew for a while I wait for its price to rise so I can cash out in the most optimal time with the maximum amount. I earn my money through Bitcoin so it’s not really optimal of me to wait the increasing value of cryptocurrency for a long term., especially that I needed the money constantly.
156  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is the ticket to heaven ... on: August 18, 2017, 02:55:30 AM
On your first statement, yes this a new generation. We are slowly breaking barriers and continuously doing the impossible. But just because we could do anything doesn’t mean that we should. On your second statement, Bitcoin can’t drive us into heaven because there’s only a stairway to heaven. Bitcoin has a better chance driving us into the underworld since there’s only a highway to hell. On your third statement, why choose when you can click Life’s “I’m feeling Lucky” button? Why choose a path when you can do a fucking barrel roll? YOLO, lol.
157  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The power of Bitcoin on: August 18, 2017, 02:36:37 AM
It’s not really power. Its potential that has been through growth and trial error. Bitcoin’s power lies on its expansion. Once Bitcoin has been accepted as an option of payment in major cities and metropolis then Bitcoin can show its true power. The power to change the entire monetary and banking system. It will take the world by storm. Just what Facebook did to communication, Bitcoin will do to fiat.

158  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why should people use Bitcoin? on: August 18, 2017, 02:15:21 AM
Because the world is changing and we should change with it. It would be easier to go with the flow than to resist the change. We don’t want to find ourselves being left behind because we didn’t educate ourselves on the advancements happening on the world. We should use Bitcoin and continue learning about it. Using it doesn’t mean abandonment of cold hard cash since it’s still a cash-regulated world. Using Bitcoin means getting used to having currency other than the traditional currency we used to know.

159  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: do you use analysis when play gambling? on: August 18, 2017, 01:58:43 AM
Even if a big part of gambling is based on chances and luck, it doesn’t hurt to use analysis when playing. We should at least put an effort on analysing and planning when gambling even if we’re not playing poker or sports betting. Even if we have no chance against luck at least analysing can help us if we should bet more, pull out, or go all in. As long as you use your mind over emotion perhaps the odds will turned for you.

160  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: If you would win a Jackpot what would you do with the money? on: August 18, 2017, 01:34:49 AM
If ever I won a jackpot or lottery I would withdraw all the money first then pay all my existing debts and loans and everyone I owe. After that it’s time to get to sort things out. I would make sure to secure insurances both for myself and my parents.  Then put some money on the bank.

Then invest on promising companies, a few start-up companies maybe, and of course Bitcoin. Then get myself a decent apartment or a small house, a reliable car, and appliances and tech. Then buy some assets I could liquidate or store for upvalue purposes.

After all that, I would donate the rest  to charities with worthy causes like for cancer and autism research, HIV/AIDS awareness, orphanages, homes for the abused and homeless. Then donate cash to fund struggling students with school loans, to fund small locally own businesses, to fund the building of parks and PWD friendly walkways.

Buy some property then donate it to the public for useful purposes.  And when tax season comes around, I wouldn’t worry much cause I would be able write off so much shit because almost half my money is charitable donations.
