141  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [NLG] The great Gulden thread on: July 23, 2018, 11:16:48 AM
I know a bit about software development myself. I also know that the "testnet" as present in many coins (including Gulden) is artificial. It's good for one stage of testing, but afterwards you'll have to test it again in an separate main network (few VPSes that only connect to each other would suffice).

Malcolm has complety changed how testnet works for Gulden, to make sure all kinds of situations (and PoW2 phase) can be tested. It's far more advanced than "testnet" of other coins.
So please make sure you are informed before you make such blunt statements.

Perhaps you'd better wait until you at least know about stuff yourself before you "correct" a legendary member that has been here since 2010?

Not that Biomike needs defense, but let me ask you this. If Malcolm perfected the testing methods into something so advanced, how come the extremely over delayed 2.0 release that was tested and tested and tested even more, resulted in a chainsplit and stalled blockchain for over 36 hours? Perhaps an indication you need to think a bit more before you barf like a chiwawa?

But you also contradict yourself here bud:

The fork was not an issue. That's just how this update work. From phase 3 miners that keep on mining with the outdated software will just continue to mine for nothing and waste their energy. Only the stall of the main network was a problem, but that's being handled. Some things just can't be tested in testnet.

Malcolm has complety changed how testnet works for Gulden, to make sure all kinds of situations (and PoW2 phase) can be tested. It's far more advanced than "testnet" of other coins.

You said one thing about yourself I agree with though:

Hahaha. You are such a joke. No, you don't have to defend the mighty legendary biomike. You can't even defend him because everyone knows you only talk bullsh!t.

Do you even have any Gulden left? Or is it still all on Safecex and Yobit? Sucker!  Grin

they thought they would get got instantly rich
gulden team followed opposed a different strategy against the wishes of the far majority
they (Rijk and friends) got rude
they got kicked from were smart enough not to get kicked out of and stay on top of developments in Slack
they (Rijk and friends) prove here on a daily basis why they got kicked lots of useful members from Slack and don't give hoots ass about investors
they keep hanging on to their Gulden because they didnt grow a pair are gong to make even more do when Rijk finally gets hit by a bus.

They remind me of the far left here in the US.

^^^
Aren't that the folks that claim the moral high ground every time someone proofs their stupid ideology wrong? Like the Gulden zombies that yell Heil Rijk and moon every time the rate goes up 2 satoshis and state "buy now, never get another opportunity!" when it goes down? That are all here to get rich when Gulden hit's $ 2.50, but as long as rates keep dropping (due to the ban on marketing by their fuhrer) say they are here for the ideology?

Donald Trump has started witnessing. Wink

how do you know? Did you ask his son Rich "Freedom of speech" Pissman?

Yeah, Lets make Gulden great again! First step: kick out Rijk and his deep state super pac!

Then, make a deal with the whales and market the living crap out of it! Only winners!
145  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [NLG] The great Gulden thread on: July 22, 2018, 08:25:26 AM
Just out of curiosity, where are all the statements about “buy Gulden now at these ridiculous low prices, you never get a chance like this anymore!” ?

Oh wait, it’s probably because you know the chain is locked and miners have piled up a shitload of coins ready to dump once mr wonderful has saved the day corrected his own error.

Sub 600sat incoming folks!
146  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [NLG] The great Gulden thread on: July 22, 2018, 06:50:17 AM

Chain stuck and forked right after phase3 came in action!

Glad they didn’t release it before they made sure it was perfect

 Huh

The fork was not an issue. That's just how this update work. From phase 3 miners that keep on mining with the outdated software will just continue to mine for nothing and waste their energy. Only the stall of the main network was a problem, but that's being handled. Some things just can't be tested in testnet.

Correct. The fork was intended. Guldenchain.com still pointing to the old chain was intended (so they could check what was going on there) dactual and blockchain.gulden.com are pointing to the new. So the fork has nothing to do with the issues.

Out of respect of those involved in the closed ward of Gulden, I typed out the scrypt. Names are changed to protect the innocent  Grin

Gulden Dev excuses:

- It’s done when it’s done
- We only release 2.0 when we are sure it’s 100% right
- sure we postponed all development numerous times for two years, but we simply cannot afford to make mistakes
- No need to market the release, once people see our perfection, it will sell itself

Reality:

Chanel [DEVOPS]

[some dude] Network forked I think  Shocked Guldenchain.com is happily running on a pre-witness fork. actual.com on the chain with witnessing is stuck at block 7788566 since 21-07-2018 02:18 @ifgodwasadev

[ifgodwasadev] Checking

[ifgodwasadev] /edited

[someotherdude] it seems that my server is blocked at height 778567

[ifgodwasadev] thats correct yes I'm looking into it

[someotherdude] good luck

[guythatalsogotmillionsfromthecommunitywithshares] if you need anything done, please let us know.

[ifgodwasadev] will do, sadly its all on me right now until I figure it out

Chanel [WITNESS]

[devthatisnotactuallyadev] Last official block is 778567 Issue is being worked on.

[ifgodwasadev] Everyone, there is a temporary chain issue but it will be resolved.
You can help by:
1) Remaining calm
2)Keeping your witness wallets open, don't close anything
3) Being patient

I'm on it, and I already have identified the problem, but this stuff is tough it takes time to fix - it will come right just give me some time  Grin

Rich, can you please respect the privacy of people within in a closed community?

You mean the heavily doctrined closed community that disrespects peoples free will and speech?

I see no names in the screenshots above that aren't public Gulden representatives anyway.

But as I see you successfully complained to a mod here that removed my posts, so congratulations in undermining free speech in one of the last open platforms as well! Gulden gestapo taking over the free world, woohoo!
149  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [NLG] The great Gulden thread on: July 20, 2018, 01:37:51 PM
Perhaps the Devs can stop updating this coin now? So far all updates result in price drops:

150  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [NLG] The great Gulden thread on: July 19, 2018, 08:32:59 PM
Once Gulden a bus hits the "mainstream Gulden fuhrer" and the word is spread, there's no holding back Smiley

Buy before that happens and profit at least 50x, easily. Don't take my word for granted, just study about the coin, is pretty easy to come with this conclusion once it's freed from the dictatorship  Wink
151  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [NLG] The great Gulden thread on: July 14, 2018, 10:06:31 PM
It looks like we don't have to worry much that there won't be 75% mined by Gulden 2.0 miners while the phase2 signalling.
Phase 3 incoming  Grin

So having a single pool with over 60% of the hashrate is a good thing for a pow coin???

I remember ghash.io getting squashed for having 52% of BTC hashes!

What ever happened to decentralization??
152  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [NLG] The great Gulden thread on: July 14, 2018, 02:01:31 PM
Do the devs deserve sex , drugs and alcohol yet?

Well, Rijk only releases anything when it's perfect and will be done when it's done, so I guess sex is out of the equation  Grin
153  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [NLG] The great Gulden thread on: July 13, 2018, 08:01:20 AM
I just disagree with the current developer team. I have peace with it, I understand that someone wants to focus efforts on development rather than communication but as an open source IMHO project you should not hide behind closed curtains.

Give that man a cigar!!  Smiley
154  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [NLG] The great Gulden thread on: July 12, 2018, 12:44:17 PM
I bet Rich doesn't do this to the 100s of coins where the developers were anonymous and left for dead with a helpless community.

Let's try get some perspective here, if you invest in Gulden or Dash you are one of the lucky ones that didn't get caught out by people who only wanted your money to run away with.

Not sure how Richpissman expects Malcolm to live if he is full time working on Gulden?

Do the clients of Richpissman's company also think he should be working for free? Let's stop with the kindergarden discussions and get back to reality.

Simple, I'm not interested in those coins.

And my point is that everyone here is treating Malcolm like some sort of saint that is their savior. In the end he's just a good programmer that chose to work for a project of his cousin and gets paid a very descent salary for his efforts.

He stated many times before he is here to make money, not to be part of the community. So, money gone, Mani gone.
155  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [NLG] The great Gulden thread on: July 11, 2018, 07:17:12 PM
Wow, this reading up on history is really enlightening!

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=554412.msg11849875#msg11849875

The extra value that Digibyte, Myriadcoin, and lots of other coins (multi-algo or not) have over Guldencoin at this point is that they don't have meddling devs trying to play the role of fed chairperson, adjusting the total number of coins and emission rate well after the coin has been launched. For some reason this seems even worse to me in the context of a 10% premine...

MaNI, the meddling assertive Guldencoin dev suggested the change to a smaller block reward. Only if the majority of the Guldencoin community agrees with the plan the changes will push through. And you better lose your trust in the Guldencoin community then, because at this moment most of the NLG users want a lower supply.

Haha, I can't take all the blamecredit here, all dev decisions are based on bullyingdiscussion and whoever yells the loudestconsensus* :p

* Consensus meaning: "What ever our fuhrer (or the guy paying my bills) Rijk decides"

Here's another one from your beloved developer:

Argon, say what you want about me you are entitled to your opinion, but at least think about my version being legit.
1) You can check my nuick on freenode - I registered it 10 years ago - so while I'm not overly active in this community (check my post history I have posted a few times over the last 7 months) I'm no sock puppet.
2) I joined this coin around July not knowing the community or devs as I was hired
3) Things seemed to be going welll
4) It collapsed
5) I did what I thought was best and tried to give everyone hope
6) I realised that doing so was giving the scammers exactly what they want so I stopped and am now trying to save people from damage by advising them not to waste any more money and salvage what they can.

Not hard to imagine how this can duplicate onto current events.
157  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [NLG] The great Gulden thread on: July 11, 2018, 06:44:34 PM
Fact remains... Malcolm delivers. He indeed does what he is supposed to do.

Yup, we agree once more! He delivers what Rijk pays him to do (with community money). That's his only involvement.

And he actually is the only one that delivers what he is supposed (is paid handsomely) to do. The others (Rijk, loser brother Rits, Jason cousin in law) are making sure to get paid, but deliver nothing but roadblocks that demise the value of Malcolms efforts.

Egg timer time again!

Speaking of which, how's Pandacoin (the coin that he worked on before Abandoned for the lack of funds) doing these days?

Made a minor correction for you there mate

And here's what you can expect from a mercenary like Malcolm:

Anyway I've got more important things to do with my time. I've shared everything I know - which is more than I can say for anyone else involved.
I've warned everyone, so anyone who gets further burnt from here has no excuses.

* This coin has no remaining core devs that actually do anything.
* Many of the larger community members who actually contribute are already out.
* Huge amounts of coins are in the hands of dumpers waiting to dump.
* The founder is irresponsible and uncooperative at best, complicit or the mastermind of the scam at worst.
* The distribution is completely destroyed

You can assume that half the people posting now are sock puppets and/or pumpers, look at some of the comments from people with broken logic and only a few posts to their names.
You can assume that anyone who says anything about new features at this point is looking to hype, either because they are a large bagholder or because they are one of the dumpers.
You will be very unlikely to attract a real developer at this point who is not out to scam you.

Anyway, I've got nothing more to say, so this will be my last post here, you can proceed to talk shit about me if you want I don't really care, my freenode account is 10 years old, various people have my real details, the 'dev team' has my full CV - only an idiot would scam like this, I am not involved in any scam - I was paid to deliver work and I delivered it thats my only involvement here - but believe what you will, desperate people will look for any excuse to cling to some form of hope and I've done far more than I am obliged to to try help folks here, you're grown ups do what you will.
HOWEVER INVEST IN THIS COIN AT YOUR PERIL YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED

So long and thanks for all the fish.[/I]

The exact same text might be copied and pasted in the Gulden threads in the future!

I gotta feel for Malcolm, one of the best updates in crypto history and traders are taking a dump on it. Although the guy will be able to walk into any crypto development team, it would just leave a big void for large holders of gulden. I hope he stays with Gulden and not let the price be a indication of what people think of his development.

Don't worry! Rijk is not only a dictatorial narcist schmuck, he's also a smart one. That's why he ripped off his community by selling 650BTC of "shares" first so he can pay the South African mercenary with a coin that has actual value. If he would have paid in Gulden, he would be gone by now indeed.

And it's just because he is that (a mercenary) why he doesn't care about the value of "his" coin. As long as he gets paid, he's good. A truly involved developer would have demanded some form of promotional support for his hard work by now.
