Thanks shibaji!  Its really coming together..I apologize again for the lengthy downtime. Still fine tuning the payment system...appears there is a bug since I added SSL. Think I need to update an IP.

Hope you like all.    Cool

I apologize my website is down temporarily for major updates. After some issues I have had to completely re-install the database. Will have much more content to share after the 1st of the month. The mail server is up and functioning at zif@hostedmining.com and contact@hostedmining.com. Facebook page and twitter also are live.

Stack and rack.   Cool   Three 4 card systems(hard to see the one behind the stacked unit. Hopefully will have some nice professional pics right around the 1st.

Hard to go wrong with that Lepa 1600...have several and they are extremely nice.

If your heart is set on the 2 psu option I would go with the Corsair 850's. I also have a couple of these and they are prob the nicest 850 watt out there. Auto fan means they only run when hot. The 2nd unit I have hooked to just 2 cards and the fan never turns on.

For using a 2nd power supply all you need is a small piece of wire to short the hot and ground. Look at the 24 pin and find the GREEN wire(usually  4th from the right when green wire is on bottom row). Connect green to black(short with a small piece of insulated wire). Fold wire and secure with black electrical tape.

Open the folder you have cgminer in...right click on the icon. Click troubleshoot compatibility. It will give you some options. Click the bottom one."troubleshoot problems". There will be some boxes in the next screen. Check the one that says it ran on a earlier version of windows or wont install now. Should give you an option to run in win7 mode. Click and finish the compatibility daemon.

Finish and reboot. You should be able to run it now.

151  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Klondike - 16 chip ASIC Open Source Board - Preliminary on: May 23, 2013, 06:05:06 PM
So I guess your going to take open source out of the thread title?  I dont have a problem with someone wanting to get paid for their work. Just seems to me that embedding something in a supposed open source project rings alarm bells.

Is it just me?

So what would be the cheapest machine i could get from you, and can i use the machine to mine any coin?

You really have to decide on a budget yourself. I can build a single gpu system for pretty cheap..but you have to look at the ROI. It really breaks down to about $1 per kh\s

Another update.

Video of open air frame prototype II    Cool

I didn't receive the part that allows stacking of these units. I have reordered it..once in I will be able to have 5 of these stacked together.

157  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [CLOSED] Avalon ASIC chip distribution on: May 20, 2013, 09:59:45 PM
No...he did not...learn english.

It is formatted correctly.

SUP(stating you are supporting a Dev)(supporter - The Dev who is developing a pcb)(owner - Ya..you..the guy who paid for the chips)

Pretty simple...your overthinking. Please dont trash the thread more quibbling over syntax.
158  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [CLOSED] Avalon ASIC chip distribution on: May 20, 2013, 08:08:54 PM
Didn't the instructions say to put supporter name first and then owner name second?

SUP;roy7;burnin

Only if your supporting yourself.  Wink

Devs list like so

OWN;<owner name>

Supporters list like we have been

SUP;<supporter name>;<owner name>

Yes..its basically exactly the same yet completely different.

Sounds like you need to do some googling. Search youtube for vids about building PC's. Your only entitled to one spoon fed meal a day around here.

You will need a quality 450w-600w Power supply. If you plan and adding more than 1 GPU your wattage will increase. its about 300w for each 79xx card added. The 78xx cards draw less.

+ about 150w for the system.  [300w(gpu)+150w(system)] = around 450w for complete system + 1 card.

Whew...hope that makes sense...

As with all computer builds your mileage may vary. Most of these parts can be found cheaper paying in fiat.

Good luck.
