141  Economy / Speculation / Re: How is the situation with Iran affecting the price on: January 09, 2020, 01:31:39 PM
Bitcoin is bullish because in the long term it's inflation will decrease and disappear. That itself makes it grow in value because the same number of bitcoins has to describe growing value of the world around us. World conflicts are just a temporary distraction throwing the priorities off balance in some parts of the world. I don't think Iran in particular has any noticeable effect on bitcoin. US maybe. China more likely, because that's where many miners are.
142  Economy / Speculation / Re: Next Bitcoin Halving will drive the price down... on: January 09, 2020, 01:10:22 PM
Next Bitcoin Halving will drive the price down because the ecological system in which Bitcoin lives will be reduced.
More miners will bail, and it is the miners who are the bone marrow that creates the life blood of block chain.

Thoughts?
I think because the amount of BTC getting market sold daily by miners gets cut in half, and people who are buying crypto daily remains the same, the price slowly and surely starts going up. Then, media takes notice of this, new people start FOMOing in, more media takes notice causing even more new people FOMOing in, and price begins to rise up and up. Eventually, it culminates to dumb money buying crypto, and price eventually collapses. But, the true believers of Bitcoin never sell, so the price can’t go to deeper than previous low. This is why the Bitcoin price lows are higher in each subsequent four year cycle than the previous one.
143  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: triangular arbitrage bot or script on: January 09, 2020, 11:35:03 AM
I highly doubt you'll make money doing arbitrage while using commercially available products. arbitrage is a relatively risk free way of making money, so why sell a product like that, And also if you can do it by simply buying software like that all profits are already being eaten. Everyone I know in this space writes their own arbitrage bots. You would need to build your own algorithm, which takes a lot of time and knowledge, if you build it yourself your API is secure fully too.
144  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Hash Rate Continue to Surge! on: January 08, 2020, 01:41:58 PM
The hashrate increase we're seeing now is the result of The next halvening. I personally run 24 Antminer S17. I’ll run these bad boy until I start to break even. If this continues and the price moves up to around $12,000 you will see a fat rising in hash rate. that’s when many people will turn on their Mining operation until prices go down again. Hashrate follows price, but It's a lagging because it's impossible to instantaneously produce mining hardware. Put another way, the chip fabrication process is relatively slow when compared to price movements in this space.
145  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Halving Priced In: Analyst Weighs the Evidence on: January 08, 2020, 01:15:41 PM
I think all halvenings are priced in because that's public knowledge. When people go to the market to buy or sell, the halvenings are part of the common pool of facts known about BTC that people draw from to make their market decisions. If halvenings aren't priced in, you're saying that people are willfully ignoring the fact that block rewards will go down and not thinking about that when they decide if they want to buy or sell their BTC.
146  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will Bitcoin have a price increase before the halving like we saw in 2016? on: January 08, 2020, 12:26:36 PM
In my opinion bears can't fight a supply shock, if it is easier to long than to short, then that will happen. The price will have to increase, even before halvening. Further, the economics of mining depends on it. without mining, Bitcoin will go to nothing. This is classic supply and demand and it works. If there are fewer BTC and they are truly useful, then they certainly will rise in price. I don't think BTC will disappear, so the only real market alternative is higher BTC prices, at least until there is a balance point. For sake of miners and BTC's ongoing viability, that balance point will need to be higher to enable any mining.
147  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: John McAfee backs out of his $1 million bitcoin prediction on: January 08, 2020, 11:53:42 AM
At the historic rate of inflation, it would take over a hundred years for the price of a loaf of bread to go over one million dollars. But it appears that the last decade or so has dwarfed previous issuance rates, pushing that inevitability quite a bit forward. The interesting question is not whether a bitcoin will be worth a million dollars, which has a definitive yes. The interesting question is when, 2030 or 2140?
148  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The reason behind creating Bitcoin. on: January 08, 2020, 09:50:35 AM
It was created as an exit from state and bank currency. Even today it is primarily used for regulatory arbitrage. Ironically enough it is also a hedge against Anarchism. If States and Banks disappear than bitcoins largest premium evaporates supporting it's utility, value, and thus security. One day more and more statists will start to realize this inconvenient truth, The strength and growth of the state indirectly supports the premium those will pay for bitcoin to convert energy into fungible value thus they would be wise to invest in bitcoin and the flip side investing into bitcoin supports the security of this anarchistic currency.
149  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Learning to trade on: January 07, 2020, 05:57:54 PM
I have been learning how to trade btc and altcoins by myself and having my experiences. I read online articles on trading signals and what to watch out for.  I've made some profits and lost a good deal.  Good thing I started with very little capital. Right now everything looks so negative especially as btc went so bearish.

I need advice on how to improve my trading because I really want to do this Angry
For one, understand you cannot win every trade but strive to won't 40%+ when starting. Understand stop losses. If you trade on exchanges with just limit and market move to swing trading. Ideally you want to limit each trade to under 5% of your day trade portion. Understand buy and sell ladders. Set price targets, take profits sooner rather than later. Don't trade low volume coins, stick to higher volume at least 200+ btc. Don't rely solely on one indicator or candlesticks alone. RSI and MACD are useful for entry exits. Never try to trade multiple coins at once.
150  Economy / Speculation / Re: Return of the bull? on: January 07, 2020, 05:39:53 PM
Bitcoin is silently pushing up for the past few days, what could be the reason, could it be because of the halving coming up later or that the bulls are back in town.
We will have a bull run but not like 2017 that was a blow off bubble. We can have a slow steady increase for years then eventually another FOMO rally and bubble again. Huge price spikes are not the only indicators of bull markets. Several years of smaller, but consistent annual growth is a bull market. Could be 2 years could be less. It may not be as exciting, but these bubbles aren't benefiting anyone except for those lucky enough to time the top and those manipulating the price in the first place.
151  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Options Market Shows Halving Is Not Priced In: Skew on: January 07, 2020, 01:57:01 PM
Whether it has already been priced-in by miners or not, the miners’ behavior shows there’s additional specialisation with better hardware being developed and released. Not only would that make the hash rate go up, it would also diminish profitability for the entire mining space. Therefore, I see miners pushing for lower prices until the halving takes place. The harder it is to mine until the halving, the more miners will drop off, leaving more room for profits for the players who stay.
152  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin isn't just an investment, it is the future on: January 07, 2020, 08:42:20 AM
Currently crptocurrency is still in it's adolescence stage of life, it's in the exact same situation the internet was back in the early 90's. I don't see why it's a bad investment who doesn't want to invest in to a chance of owning a small percentage of the crypto market which will be worth millions through mass adoption. Looking at the history of bitcoin and other cryptos and actually understanding the technology it would be completely stupid to not have at least a small percentage of ones portfolio in crypto. I really believe blockchain will be big. This technology is here to stay and there is nothing anyone can do to stop it.
153  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Affection of War to Bitcoin? on: January 06, 2020, 04:42:22 PM
I think Bitcoin is the best place for flight capital and haven capital for those in Iran wishing to protect their assets, and that alone is enough to drive Bitcoin back towards it's previous and all-time highs. Then there is the exaggerated Beta of Bitcoin that will draw in the global speculators and their wall of money, so that in an extended and fraught US and Iran conflict only one thing is certain about the price of Bitcoin and that is, it will be far higher than it is now.
154  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: DO YOU feeL THE MARKET WILL CRASH TOO ? on: January 06, 2020, 11:39:39 AM
Huh
I have this impression bitcoin will go very very very low and bringing all alts with him,
ETH to 80$
BTC to 1000 $....
LTC to 10 $...
Its not FUD here, just my point of view , recent news, china, bans, thiefs, predictions, use ?

Cheers Kiss
Not only does Cryptos market need to crash, but it would be healthy. However, I don't care very much about the crash because I explain it like this. Here is 100 dollars. If you invest them in Top crypto market and hold them, there's a 50% chance that it will fail, and a 50% chance it will take off. If it takes off and replaces system by $100 trillion market cap, those dollars will turn into $50,000. If bitcoin fails, then those dollars will be worthless. What would you like to do? From there I caution them to only invest a small amount so they are not crushed if the market turns the wrong direction.
155  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How 18-year old boy became Millionare from Bitcoin on: January 06, 2020, 11:09:58 AM
You could buy 1 bitcoin for 100 USD in 2013, that 100 USD is now worth 90 USD due to inflation. There is no getting rich there is only getting sound money. So if we hit again 20,000 USD or even more let's say 100,000 USD. Wouldn't that made so much people millionair? I think No because most people are going to be holding and spending bitcoin the next ten years, some getting out entirely. What if it's 20 years until the next bullrun? A lot of people that want to get rich will be gone, the believers in sound money will see a decent gain on their sound money.
156  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will Bitcoin fail if Satoshi is found? on: January 06, 2020, 10:06:26 AM
In my opinion, He clearly went into hiding to avoid being thrown in a cage or tortured by nation states, so I guess he'll be back when the governments are either uninterested or unable to do, or simply no longer present. that means bitcoin has to "win" first, or we'll never hear from Satoshi again. Thereby, talking about failing Bitcoin is meaningless, because Satoshi won't show himself before that day.
157  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to read trading charts? on: January 05, 2020, 05:56:56 PM
I've read a few books and studied technical Analysis or chart reading for a little while. Some people like to argue that it's useless and there's no way anybody can know where the price will go next. In my opinion, it's about psychology, and that's actually what the charts represent. Overall the charts themselves don't cause the price to move up and down, they simply show the bullish or bearish psychology of the market. Once you understand that psychology you can then start to understand things a bit more.
158  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will 2020 give new hope to Altcoin? on: January 05, 2020, 05:51:32 PM
I'm pessimistic about another altcoin bull-run. there is a huge difference between 2017 and now. Bitcoin have increased 2.5 times over it's All time low, yet most altcoins have barely gone up and still bleeding. It means actual fiat that average joe pumped in to the market to pump altcoins along with Bitcoin isn't entering the market this time. People have been burned before during the 2018-2019 dump and have wisen up.
159  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: When next bull run happen?? on: January 05, 2020, 05:40:10 PM
Altcoins will not truly gain independence until the market has enough liquidity to detach itself from bitcoin. Until then well just keep switching back and forth everytime Bitcoin moves up or down. I realize altcoins has the potential to go up in bigger percentages, which means higher returns, so higher risk. at this current market cap, it is almost impossible for bitcoin to 5-10 times it's value in less than 2021, Thereby we should at least wait until 2021.
160  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Top 2 altcoins to invest in NOW. on: January 05, 2020, 05:23:54 PM
For a safe bet go with Ethereum, got a lot of plans this year, and they are really for a new boom. for second, Vechain will do fantastic if they keep on track with their roadmap. I feel pretty good about them but that probably has to do with entry point. Then I have some other fliers out there. however, just trying to find solid coins that hopefully handle the corrections relatively well and then buy them when in the red. Roll profits into BTC and then wait for the next session of bleeding altcoins to add to my bags or buy into new ones.
