Hi there,
I am testing awesome miner and MultiPoolMiner on MPH. since MPH use PPLNS system and i am used to PPS system in nicehash, i should not switch too often right? what is the best/optimal count down timer for switching algos? should i just switch algo once a day? or 30 min? or 1 hour?
thanks in advance.
you setup a batch loop and MPH switches you automatically but you have to be pointed at 12XXX ports. 17XXX for switching within the same algo pool. You want to switch right after a block is found. you get paid and you wait for confirm blocks to complete. Then they are your coins. Watch for payout mins and transmission fee. If you send the coins to the exchange for payout it can take 2 to 12 hours normally to return back to your coin of choice. Some slow trading coins could take several days and you have to watch the exchange, for example maxcoin only pays out best to bitcoin but can takes many days to convert. Bitcoin is the only coin that is a one way street. If it goes into bitcoin, it can't get back to the exchange to another coin. Bitcoin has a high minimum. see amounts. Site down is probably overload from all the nicehash people discovering this better site. MPM is great, i set it up as "-poolname miningpoolhub" as recommended. took hours to bench my rigs. but now all are running well. currently all miners are using 17xxx ports thou(lyra2re2 and equihash)... is 12xxx ports used by multi-algo in a program like sgminer/cgminer? ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) 12xxx ports are based on average speeds for AMD/NVidia cards and not real speeds; you would also need a failover strategy like sgminer/ccminer can do. In MPM you can also benefit from Zpool, especially for NVidia cards.

Ok, I got MultiPoolMiner to work and it's looking good. Not sure tho how accurate earnings info is. It says 7,74620-10,00334USD/day, but after about 12 hours of mining I only got 0.00005754BTC on my MPH account. Does the exchange happen so slow ?
It is all just statistics but your earnings should trickle in. The exchanges are slow and you will get shares even after you have stopped mining because it's PPLNS. Keep the number of algorithms small for the most accuracy.

I don't think a lot of nice hash miners will be using this. I've been at it for hours now and still haven't even started mining. Finally at benchmarking and its taking for-freaking-ever, locks my PC sometimes (so I start over), and kills the nvidia driver (even at stock clocks)... start over. I have not had this much trouble getting something to run on a PC in my life.
You are earning money even during the benchmark. Regarding locking your PC, is there a specific miner that is causing this as that's obviously not normal behaviour? There are a lot of miners and algorithms so it can highlight hardware and driver problems that you didn't know you had.

I'm curious, is there a huge influx of new users after nicehash went down? The difficulty on most coins dropped by 2-3x, the projected profit increased by a huge margin.
A lot of people have not switch to another service as of yet so the difficulty of the coins are likely to drop for a short while. Hopefully this will be the end of NiceHash creaming off the top.

Where was i supposed to put excavator.exe? Why did it download it if the notes said i need to download it?
MultiPoolMiner under no circumstances downloads excavator.exe as that would breach the licensing agreement. It will search your computer to find the file.

I just did that. Still will not install.
There is something wrong with your system then. They are official Microsoft links...

NICEHASH pool was hacked today apparently lost 60 million in bitcoin value from the miners and renters main payout wallet. Site is shut down for 24 hours. No mining and no rentals.
Good time for pools to double check their wallets and countermeasures for safety. I fear if this happened to nicehash it could happen to any pool and be quite devastating.
Hope NiceHash never recover.

Hello. I'm totally new to MultiPoolMiner so apologies for my noob questions. I'm mining on Mining Pool Hub. When I start MPM, I don't get any errors, so everything was downloaded and some algos are still benchmarking. GPU algos were all benchmarked, but in main window I don't get any info about BTC/USD I'm currently getting. Will this be available once everything gets benchmarked or did I do something wrong ?
Also, I would like to work and mine at the same time on my PC. With NiceHash (RIP) and Intensity parameter it was possible (Ccminer + --intensity= 19 worked perfectly for me). Is there a simple way to set this in MultiPoolMiner ?
Thanks in advance for your help !
The config files are in the folder called 'miners'. Edit in notepad then do "[space]-I 19".

My hashrate for Monacoin on the dashboard and also on the workers page is being reported about 40% less. I understand this is a 5 minute running average but with no rejections, this is quite a discrepancy. What could this be due to?
Check for invalid shares and check the graphs over 24 hours. Zero invalid shares, graphs are reporting incorrect total hash rate as well. Post your account number and a link to miner that you are using then MiningPoolHub maybe able to check. I am using http://ccminer.org/preview/ccminer-hsr-alexis-x86-cuda8.7z. I looked under Edit Account, Balances, and other screens but could not find an "account" number. Where can I find that? It's called user id.

If I am mining MONA, and my autoexchange coin is ZEN both of which are only on Bittrex, does MPH automatically exchange as MONA --> BTC --> ZEN, or do I have to intervene some way?
Just wait, I believe MiningPoolHub said that everything is exchanged to BTC then to the alternative currency at the exchanges.

Re: I can't connect to MiningPoolHub using XMR-STAK. Please help.
I have tried everyway I can think of to get my xmr-stak-nvidia to connect.
The same config file works with Nanopool but not with Mining Pool Hub. What am I doing wrong?
I really want to connect to MiningPoolHub
But, everytime there is an authentication error.
I use XMR-STAK-NVIDIA with this config (where xxx is my pool username)
config changes are:
"pool_address" : "us-east.cryptonight-hub.miningpoolhub.com:12024", "wallet_address" : "xxx.worker1", "pool_password" : "x",
THE RESULT IS AN ERROR:
[2017-12-05 19:38:44] : Connecting to pool us-east.cryptonight-hub.miningpoolhub.com:12024 ... [2017-12-05 19:38:45] : Connected. Logging in... [2017-12-05 19:38:47] : SOCKET ERROR - invalid username used for login [2017-12-05 19:38:47] : SOCKET ERROR - RECEIVE error: A blocking operation was interrupted by a call to WSACancelBlockingCall. The port is 17024.

Thanks for your generosity. It wasn't much trouble, I was mostly being stubborn, pisses me off I had to install chrome. I noticed on your github you warn against downloading DLL files. I hate having to include DLLs in the binary package. I would prefer users install the packages that provide them but it doesn't seem so simple. Any thoughts? I hate being forced to use another browser also. Sites should work on all browsers but web developers seem increasingly only testing on Chrome. Funny that you mention DLL's, trying to rid the issue for my next release at this very moment. Only 4 miners seem to be missing any DLL's and all are just msvcr120.dll so I'm just checking the existence of specified DLL(s) then downloading/installing from URL(s) automatically.
