Makes something like $11 (minus power consumption, so like $8) a day at current prices.. power consumption seems kind of high for long term profitability.. but if usd/btc goes up and the altcoins per btc stay relatively the same.. this could make $15-25 per day depending on price of btc
I appreciate that at least baikal is coming out with a new miner.. Maybe not this time, but sometimes they hit the mark well

Even with the FPGAs coming... these profitable vegas will have some resale value especially to gamers (and maybe still miners)
So yes i think it is a good time to buy vegas. HOWEVER it might be even better to invest directly into coins themselves like BTC since usd/btc is at quite a dip right now (seemingly)

We should have sold our hashrate on the marketplace before it was too late

Dropping price to $150 per miner.. only available for like 1 more day before the redemption period expires

Bump.. Anyone interested for $175 shipped? Redemption is only available for 3 or 4 more days

This program keeps freezing on my vega rigs, anyone else have this problem or have a fix? on v100 and v110

I sent them a question through support asking if the hashnest s7 redemption units each come with a power supply or no
Please let me know if you guys found out anything

BUMP
Well the $100 bitmain coupons basically only pay for the shipping

I worked out I can get 8 shipped to me for ~$760, I assume the PSUs are probably worth about $50 at least and the s7s will probably sell for $50-100?
How sure are you that these even come with PSU's?? I was assuming they didn't come with PSU They better had. It's like saying how do we know they come with the signal cables, the control computers... Hopefully they do, they're still parts of the miner. Have you never ordered a miner new from Bitmain? They don't ship with a PSU... you have to order a PSU on the side.. I wonder if we can contact bitmain and ask.. if it DID come with a PSU... then redeeming definitely seems worth it as we could sell the S7s (if theres still demand) and PSUs

How much you looking to get? How long will it take to receive them? Shipping to US that is.
I'd like $200 per miner as that seems to be the going rate on this forum and ebay. Their shipping is labeled as express... I looked over the hashnest contract and the shipping date is not clear. The miner redemption period will be open for about 6 more days. It seems they may be shipped as soon as a few days after I submit the redemption request (and I pay the shipping and handling fee).. or maybe a few days to a week after the redemption period ends. That's my best guess. Seems unlikely they would ship much later than a whole week after the redemption period ends. They offered this same redemption service on hashnest before with their old miners s5, etc.. and I heard some people redeemed theirs' and then sold them on ebay. So there may be some old forum talk about it, when they ship. I wasn't involved with hashnest back then

s7's are available to be redeemed now within 7 days.. its like 110 to something like 130 dollars for handling and shipping for each s7.. I don't think I'm going to redeem them.. I don't know if there is much aftermarket demand for them here or ebay but it doesn't seem like theres much demand or any at all..
And if there's import tax on top of the shipping and handling, selling them would probably only break even.. I don't see anything about coupons this time
Anyone else facing this dilemma?

EDIT: Price drop to $150 shipped each, only available for like 1 more day before redemption period expires. 10% bulk discount if buying at least 4 (bitmain reduces shipping cost)
The S7's on Bitmain's Hashnest website are now redeemable. It doesn't really seem worth it to ship them to myself and then try to sell them and pay for shipping again a 2nd time, so I am selling these directly shipped from Bitmain.
Be warned, Hashnest does state, "Because redeemed hardware is, by nature, secondhand, Hashnest cannot guarantee the quality or remaining life of a machine. Older units may not hash as efficiently as they once did. Hashnest cannot guarantee that every redeemed machine will operate as though it were new."
So the machines "should" work, and likely work 100% it seems, but in case they don't hash as expected, I will not be held accountable and no refund or return is available.
You are welcome to message me offers. I do accept escrow.

So it looks like Baikal B earnings will be less than electricity costs within the next few days. Is there anyone with enough knowledge to add new algorithms to the Orange Pi? Apparently FPGAs are being used in this thing, which I would think could be programmed to do something useful. I chatted with Baikal over Skype last night & they don't seem to have any intention on making this profitable again.
It looks like my Baikal B's each are making around $5 per day @ 210w, but yeah profits have plummeted.. hopefully they stay profitable Nice, where are you mining? pascalcoin @ nanopool

Is it just me or has it been more than 7 days since that S7s have been unprofitable. Are they waiting to see if goes back to be positive or have they just forgotton to check their site and left everything to function.
(sorry to bump an old thread).
s7 market was just disabled today.. i think the miner redemption period starts in 10 days if they remain unprofitable The question is.. is it even worth redeeming them? for non-china citizens its $50 handling fee + shipping for each miner I think..I probably wouldn't even mine with the s7's.. and if i tried to sell them on ebay.. i'd probably only break even due to the high bitmain shipping and handling fees. Thoughts?

Any intel cpus decent for mining?
|
|
|
I noticed in patch notes there now should be 1 min, 5 min, 30 min or something average hash rates.. my miner doesn't show this? just still shows current hashrate.. any idea why?
Press 'S'. Oh wowwww I tried that multiple times... but I didn't look hard enough until now thanks

$250 coupons = $600 Z9 mini for batch 2 hmm. The way I see it, if Zcash doesn't fork by Dec the $600 batch 2 Z9 mini will break even at least. If it does fork, well that's good for my gpu farm. The worst case scenario is the Z9 non-mini having way superior efficiency than the mini. The ProgPOW github did mention equihash ASICs have a potential 100x efficiency gain over gpu and the Z9 mini "only" has 10x efficiency. Link: https://github.com/ifdefelse/ProgPOW#equihashNothing risked, nothing gained. If things look good on July 14, I will be in for a few more $600 Z9 minis/doorstoppers. As long as they aren't sold out by then.. I'm considering doing the same with my 2 coupons
