141  Economy / Economics / Re: Asset backed cryptocoins? on: November 18, 2019, 08:19:52 PM
We have seen some of the assets backed crypto coins in the market on the way and do you guys think this will be the future as this is directly based on national assets like gold and other products like charcoal and energy based products.  This will help in growth of country's economy if not taken over by greedy corporatesand and and will it have government's support or soft corner in the regulator's eye as it will bring in some money from outside.
We have stable coins already and they are the first attempt by developers and Coins like Libra is also one of those, as it is backed by a reserve to keep the price stable. But as we all know it, Libra might no longer be a success due to the government being against the idea of having a global cryptocurrency that will be controlled by Facebook and whatever it is that made them disagree.

But, there are still others like USDT, TUSD, etc. though investors are not showing much interest in it. Bitcoin is volatile, but it is still the cryptocurrency that is getting more attention from most investors.

These stablecoins are also cryptocoins backed by fiat, they are always being centralized though.  This is almost the same with the gold backed coins like XAURUM, its not really going to be seen as decentralize by users but its just that how these team are planing their project. If someone will asks about the reserves online how are they going to prove that the reserved gold exist or USD reserved? Its going to be impossible for people to really believe what they are showing online.

142  Other / Politics & Society / Re: People are burning the banks in Iran right now on: November 18, 2019, 07:34:01 PM
50% is a burden to them of course if I were there I would probably join the protest. I've always been wanting to burn a bank, if its going to happen in my country I will probably be the first to light up the fire.

This country is one of the oldest in the world, structures here dates back to the time where Sumerians were the only civilization and yet look at how they are now. Without blockchain, countries will remain as is, they should blockchain for their fiat.
143  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The Top 5 Staking Tokens on: November 18, 2019, 07:09:54 PM
My top staking coins are NEO, ICON, Vechain and in the future I believe that also Cardano and Ethereum become good staking coins.

But it is hard to choose which aspect is better: higher interest + higher inflation rate or or low interest and low inflation.

I am also going to wait for that Cardano to turn POS. Its not very valuable for now but its always been on top of the market which is why its does have potentials which most investors are actually watching it. Staking NEO wouldn't mean you earn NEO, its the GAS that they are distributing. Not that is bad but its best if its NEO that we earn.
144  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Alt-coins with practical use on: November 12, 2019, 08:50:02 PM

Golem(GNT) is one of the old project that is up to these days hasn't develop a good product, I might just be too outdated but this project is almost like the iExec RLC which its price is more than 100x than GNT. I'd probably sell GNT for ADA if I own some of it, the two just have identical price but at least ADA has something to offer after this testnet they are doing. ADA has more practical use like ETH
145  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Videocoin Is Really Worth To Invest? on: November 12, 2019, 08:31:11 PM
Absolutely trashcoin, do not invest in any project that needs to achieve liquidity by running promotions like this.

Particularly when they're running on trash exchanges known for faking their trade volume through wash trading.

Maybe so. If they are this big why are they not creating their own blockchain. Any team who chose to pay enormous amount of money to Kucoin will be listed to the exchange. And Kucoin is happy to accept the amount, its all money since the exchanges are up for profit. I'm wondering why they are just adding to Kucoin, if they are this ambitious they should just picked binance.
146  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is it Possible Stellar Lumens/XLM Reach $100 on: November 09, 2019, 07:40:36 PM

$100 is wishful thinking.

You may be thinking of this to happen right now because they have burned billions of the XLM tokens but how much more are left?  XRP is their competitor so if XRP is worth way more than XLM right now, how much will XRP worth if XLM will be $100?  But hey like you guys said anything can happen because this is crypto.

148  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Any bounty campaigns for Newbies? on: November 08, 2019, 02:03:19 PM

No good projects right now where team is willing to risk their rep. All just wants to scam.
149  Other / Meta / Re: Is this forum not afraid about it's demise? on: October 15, 2019, 07:57:38 PM

There had been crypto forums before cryptotalk and all of them failed. I won't be surprise they'd also fail. They should just promote yobit exchange directly instead.
150  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Altcoin Speculation Coming Soon... on: October 08, 2019, 08:41:37 PM

Nothing is yet true until coins grow exponentially. Bulltrap had been trapping those investors and were selling after seeing  the price dips more after some high rank users hills for it. This is nothing new so if RSI tells you its oversold, it doesn't mean investors are going to buy. You wait because in matter of days, its all going to be dumped on you.

153  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Useless altcoins must remove from the whole crypto market on: October 07, 2019, 06:39:10 PM

All coins that have no trading volume will be wipe off from exchanges in time, this is another way of dealing with useless tokens and coins, another one is not meeting good exchanges requirements so its better not to invest in projects that are not listed on very good exchanges

I had happened, coin with very less volume in the market are delisted in the exchanges and coinmarketcap as well I think was delisting pages of thees tokens when they are not in the market. This is how far we can prevent them from coming back, but these projects however are somehow doing some come back when finally they get a break.

156  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [news] EOS Maker Block. One Settles With SEC Over Unregistered Securities Sale on: October 05, 2019, 04:25:36 AM
Dan had finally break their spirits.

All other projects that did an ICO and will do an ICO soon can just settle by paying the SEC, wonderful. There wouldn't be the need to hide after all. Its time to celebrate and enjoy the ICO once again. No need for IEO if theyre just going to do it with blockone.
157  Other / Meta / Re: Sig campaign mangers - now help advertising for scammers - TO PROTECT THE BOARD. on: October 03, 2019, 07:30:34 PM

Double standards is the main issue. Lets bann all the double standards people.

Signature campaigns definitely don't keep this forum alive, and some might argue are slowly killing the forum. I think there's a way to get them to work without damaging the forum, but that would require a lot of restrictions.

Of course not. The fact that this is forum is full of information, its going to be busy even without signatures. But that wouldn't be business wise.

158  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What the heck happened to the prices? on: October 03, 2019, 03:07:01 PM
It is normal to see fall in prices of coins, we shouldn't be expecting to see increase in the prices of the coins everytime. Whatever direction the winds blow, you should be prepared and ready for it. Always have it in mind that the market might not always go in your favor, but also always hope for the best and make good use of every market situation.
We should be psychologically prepared when participating in this market because this market has no stability and just a small mistake will make you lose a huge amount of money. I think adding knowledge now is something that all investors should do during this period because if you have an understanding of this market you will avoid a lot of risk in investing. I personally read books when the market is on a downward trend because this is a way to reduce my fear.

Unless you see the transfer of large amount of BTC goin to the exchanges, you will be prepared for it. But no one is pretty much prepared when it comes to manipulations like this one. So if they have successfully did drag the price down, they could do it again and they could also push it up to set a bulltrap.
159  Other / Meta / Re: Sig campaign mangers - now help advertising for scammers - TO PROTECT THE BOARD. on: October 03, 2019, 02:53:03 PM
I would much rather have theymos ban all signatures than have signature campaigns continue.
I would much rather have theymos ban YoBit signatures than have the campaign continue.
I would much rather have yahoo manage YoBit than have the campaign managed by someone who will allow spam to proliferate.
I would much rather allow spam to proliferate than... no, I wouldn't have spam proliferate.
The main problem I have right now is the number of "why is yahoo managing the campaign" threads. It's starting to border on spam, now.
Wrong

There can be NO promoting of scams or scammers.

There is ONLY one way to operate as I have just said. You need to decide if something meets the transparent clear threshold of scamming or scammer, then red trust ANYONE that promotes it or advertises it. Those can be removed once they understand or come to learn the error of their ways. Sig bans are suitable for those that wish to continue advertising after they have been told.
I don't like YoBit and I don't like this campaign. In fact, I detest it. The 'solution' of using a campaign manager is merely a fragment of what I would have wanted - the eradication of the campaign.

There is a question to be asked, though... Is CryptoTalk a scam?

Once you have your answer, consider this: this may be a proxy for YoBit to shill their site in the future, that is, a way of bypassing the previous signature ban on the YoBit site directly.

Then finally: if you were to red tag YoBit participants, should you also tag CryptoTalk participants based on this speculation?

People in this forumboard is partying everyday, the signature campaigns makes it alive and running. The opportunity of this board is limitless. If it dies signature advertisers will look for new traffic sources and they will move on to other crypto forums like cryptotalk.

160  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Does anyone from Bitcoin Talk use Metamask? on: October 02, 2019, 04:55:37 PM
I'm still using it but it looks like I will not try again to deal with metamask to use dapps consider about there was a lot of bugs and I ever found that happened once with me.
https://github.com/MetaMask/metamask-extension/issues
So, what's your problem or what do you wanna talk?

I can help you.
Do you feel something bad happened with your metamask or are you looking for an opinion about that?

He is gone now. I think what he just want to know is if there are someone using it and confirm if this metamask works like a wallet and can be trusted.  I guess so I have tried it myself and nothing is lost in that account of mine. I won't know if the browser extension has a version on chrome but it will be good to have one, I can only see it from mozilla.
