Can somebody explain their vision as to how Bitcoin(and scallability issue) will exist in say next 5-10 years?
As we know, currently there are only few transactions per second at maximum, the question is, HOW is it going to scale? Is the solution still just a myth? Or is it still an experiment and it may never scale? With LN you'll be able to transact "freely" once the funds are committed, but still a on-chain fee will have to be paid to open and close the channel...
So what's your vision in 5-10 years. Will bitcoin have 100k/tps scallability, or will it be too expensive to use for payments(and only usable as gold) and can never scale?

Let's be honest there... As soon as i hear the robot voice, i'll be watching another video already.

With the lightning network, if I want to send say 1 bitcoin to someone I have never met and don't know, how will that work in practice? Will we have to first set up a channel between us and deposit bitcoin in it? Well if you want to send the money to someone on lightning network, you need funds commited to it. So yes you will have to pay the on-chain fee to enter the LN. LN is useless for sending one payment. But it's good for making many. You deposit your monthly expenses and then send 100s of payments off-chain through LN.

Its not only about buying "mini hydroelectric powerplant" ... There are a lot of things that you need to take in consideration. I was thinking of this as well, and have done research how to do it in my country(even if its 3rd world its expensive). In total it would be 3.5m euros.
In the background of everything, you need to:
1) Buy land 2) Take shit ton of permits from government 3) You need to find PERFECT land, where you are not harming nature, or people(again government) 4) After that you need to find contractors 5) And in the end you need to start working with electricity and hydro pump
Timetable for doing all of this, because you can't do 1 if you don't have another(permits) can take up to 2-3 years. So when you look time needed to do everything, its to much work honestly
What if you buy an already existing hydroelectric powerplant. ROI on the electricity production alone is like 20 years so there would be many intrested in selling. You just connect to the miners and that's it. No permits needed? Or is it still better to just pay for the electricity?

I was thinking of buying a small hydroelectric powerplant and start a mining operation.
How many miners could a say 17KW powerplant power? I would have some BTC and some GPU miners.
Is this a good plan. Would this work, or is it not worth it? Say the "powerplant" would cost like 50k$.
Any suggestions?

does anyone know date for boardwalk v2

Some activity right now... I've been hodling for so long, wasn't really worth it though Would need a big pump to justify it!

Has someone worked on the site that can provide the graphs&prices of cryptos ( similar to coinmarketcap) ?
If someone has made their site, i might be willing to buy it. Send me the demo in private message!

I was very supportive for small blocks because decentralization. Is this true; blocks could process 7 million tps on-chain? https://news.bitcoin.com/7-million-transactions-a-second-research-paper-declares-1tb-blocks-feasible/I mean, the on-chain solution would work and could let everybody(even the unbanked) hop on the bandawagon. BUT it would come at a cost of centralization. Can we not trust these miners though? Would they not act in the best of the network? I want arguments against big blocks. Is the trade-off worth it? Convince me the current roadmap is the right one.

Is this what is happening with the most pumps? Someone sets to sell XX Bitcoins at price(say 10% higher than market) and then they sell from their other account for that price, and it gives us a one big green candle and noobs be like "the ship is taking off, let's hop aboard!"... and the price starts going up and the whales are dumping at that time with a profit(or trying to provoce an even bigger pump)

So basically i am just asking if there is somebody who provides legal input on Bitcoin/cryptocurrency/blockchain/ICOs and so on. Is it worth it. Is this the niche one should specialize in. Is it already too late?
I am not asking for myself, but for a friend who has studied law in university and basically isn't doing anything with it now. I think that specializing in these "Crypto" things could be VERY beneficial, especially for someone who is earning currently 25k$/year(Although it comes with a normal care-free life, social care,no stress, easy working hours.yeah that's europe..).
Could someone provide their input? Am i wrong, or should i help that person and tell them to get into these things as they could pay off very well? Anyone who is providing legal input on these things, maybe share your experience?
