So much for Ripple.

PMed you as instructed.
143  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [PRE-SALE 30% BONUS] MASS Token - Masternode And Staking Service on: September 18, 2017, 08:10:14 PM
One question that I haven't seen asked before, and this might be a total noob question, but has the Mass team considered just excluding all US persons from the ICO so as to not having to deal with the SEC ruling? Quite a few other ICOs have done something like this.

And China, Singapore, Australia, Canada, etc. when does it end?  Better to be in compliance from the outset.
144  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO] easyMINE - Cryptocoin mining made simple on: September 05, 2017, 02:59:05 PM
Just to be clear, the EMT tokens are for fundraising only and it won't be necessary to use them to pay for accessing the server component in the cloud?  Everything will be open source and local?

And what will the advantage be over ethOS?
145  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] AEON [2017-04-23: update to 0.9.12.0] on: September 04, 2017, 06:11:03 AM
Is there a bounty for GUI wallet?
I am thinking about forking monero gui beta, seems to be quite stable.

Locking up my PC is not stable.  Monero is the Zcash of shitcoins.

For such a shitcoin, it's doing pretty well.

Maybe it's your PC or the operator.

And besides, this AEON, not Monero.

If only.  So if anyone is gonna fork it for an Aeon wallet, be prepared to fix it.

P.S.  Monero "doing well" on SEC fear mongering doesn't mean squat about the readyness of the underlying tech.

147  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Slimcoin | First Proof of Burn currency | Test v0.5 release candidates on: August 26, 2017, 11:57:18 PM
Does Slimcoin accept batch RPC command ? Peercoin had the same error before, but i did not find a way to get arround.

Alas no, Slimcoin doesn't accept batch RPC commands.

It means no BarterDEX trading for us?

I wouldn't know. Their text reads like it's been generated by a Markov chain:

“Money should be exchanged freely and safely from person to person, and currently the most practical method for it is a central exchange. Such centralized solution requires the funds to be exchanged into IOU’s that are backed by the service provider. Thus the clients are under a constant risk of their assets being stolen either by an inside theft or an outside hack. In order to remove these risks, a decentralized alternative must be established.”

Cheers

Graham

It means all decentralized exchanges currently use reserves to represent the money being exchanged and is not a true decentralized atomic swap exchange.  I'm guessing BarterDEX clams to be of the latter.

I have a lot of CXT, I want to swap, I have been trying to contact the developers for more than a week, and now there is no response.I need to know how to exchange my COINS.thank you

You can't do it because the amateur developers only gave a 7-day swap window and do you think they shouted that from the rooftops?
149  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN]COINONAT-BLOCKCHAIN EQUALITY-ASIC-RESISTANT-POW-GPU/CPU LOW TEMPERATURE on: August 26, 2017, 11:13:50 PM
I bought in when I was new to crypto at 0.00009 BTC (after the big pump)(..and yes it WAS stupid as hell). So when I calculate it right then I have only 4% of my investment HAHAHAHAHAHA. So guys, please just tell me quick if this coin is a totally scam and its never coming back or if this just need time to go up again? Normally I would hold, but I never saw something more dead like that.

Well buddy, as you know "THE DEV" effectively killed this coin with all his actions.

- said no masternodes for this coin
- said my other coin will have masternodes
- said people need to swap this coin for his new coin
- price is falling because all of the above

Do your own conclusion what is the future of this coin.

You forgot he only gave us only 7-days to swap it with no timely notice whatsoever.  Oh and 5000 minimum.

Just a bunch of amateurs trying to cash in.

So bottom line, CXT is PoS and XCXT is MN?

cxt is proof of work (POW) only, meaning its mine-able only. xcxt is a hybrid POW/Proof of stake (POS) which goes pure POS after block 212520, meaning it's only mine-able until block 212520. after which it goes POS with masternodes only. you need at least 5000 xcxt to run masternode. xcxt details are here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2068761.msg20654138#msg20654138

Lame.  Dumping CXT and taking it off the server.

I'm stuck at 5 weeks/block 1478 with 28 active connections.  Anyone got a node list to share?
153  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO] Minexcoin - A new era of payments (ICO closed!) on: August 18, 2017, 10:04:23 PM
Give him the bug bounty minus the amount he stole.  (or the bill for amount stolen as the case may be)

I concur.
154  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO] Minexcoin - A new era of payments (ICO closed!) on: August 18, 2017, 09:37:10 PM
I wonder what the reason is everybody is so eager to have the exchange up and running.
You are guys just here to dump the coin and leave? if you were a real investor you would be in for the long run so it wouldnt care if the exchange is up now or in a month.

Bingo.

Quote
To the people hoping to dump:
You do realize that nobody will be paying the 0,0023 per mnx when its first listed. so the price will plummet tremendously.
Think about holding the coin what the profits could be in the long run. maybe in a year the price will be stable at 0.0023 and you'll have a bigger profit.

They don't care; they're blinded by greed.
155  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: | ARDOR | Scalable Blockchain-as-a-Service Platform | Proof of Stake on: August 17, 2017, 06:55:05 PM
Here is some ARDOR related stuff. There is an IGNIS token presale at heatwallet.com which is backed up by Heat Ledger Ltd NXT holdings. The token is tradable and can be withdrawn soon after the Ardor/IGNIS blockchain is released. Heat Ledger Ltd is dropping affordable batches, for more info visit getignis.com.

I had mixed thoughts about this, but ultimately it seems that they're trying to salvage the value of their NXT-to-be-IGNIS holdings because they can't really participate materially in the IGNIS ICO at a 60% to 24% discount instead of a 50% loss.

I do wonder how much of a threat Ardor is to their NXT-derived platform, if any.  Since they're accepting HEAT for the above, they must believe there is still value in it, otherwise they wouldn't accept it.

156  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][POOL] hashbag.cc - PPLNS fast payouts & new algos, tribus & skunkhash on: August 13, 2017, 01:41:59 AM
Miners, please send some skunk hashing power to http://coin-miners.info/ which is also at a 0% fee or the pool will never get any more blocks again and thus no miner payouts.   It's crazy how large the Signatum hash has gotten.
157  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: OmiseGo on: August 12, 2017, 11:03:16 PM
- They say it is decentralised.. How, if all it's business would depends on an App in Google play Market and AppStore, that are controlled by US legislation? US Authorities can just ban Omise app in both appstores in case they would aware of ONE US citizen would have made a fiat transfer using a service that doesn't comply to KYC. This is what happened to BTC-E exchange recently. Is OmiseGo blockchain going to run on Omise infrastructure? Decentralised ?? Hmm...

Ehhh, BTC-E was run by the usual Russian criminal who was also laundering the huge Mt. Gox theft.  KYC is hardly legal grounds to do arrests or shut down a business -- it's just regulatory compliance B.S..  There's much bigger fish to fry with the limited resources law enforcement has.  Would you have preferred nothing was done about recovering the Mt. Gox theft?  A lot of Bitcoin millionaires lost that status due to it.

I share your overall skepticism about OMG, though.
158  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: OmiseGo on: August 12, 2017, 10:54:34 PM
If it is like this, then it would be only Asia. But I never saw an Omise retailer in Asia, did anyone else? If so they should clearify this, I mean it is a big plus point for them. At the moment it looks like that they only provide online payment gateways. If somebody owns suchs a big plus point they would promote it. So it still looks very suspicious.

Or do I go to the partner Pizza company and give my money to them that they put it on the blockchain?

I contacted them, let's see if they answer.

That's usually how it works with money transmitters.  They use independent contractors that are already retail establishments so they can earn a little extra gravy.  The advantage here is Omise already has that built out so they don't have to start from the ground up unlike other blockchain-based money transmitters.  It's not easy.

BTW, I don't own any OMG as the price is WAY ahead of reality.  It's just Chinese gamblers FOMO again.  Some day they will learn how to value a business.

But hey, its free tokens!  Add it to the shitcoin pile.  You never know.

No twitter updates for 6 months. Is this coin a joke?

It's a shitcoin, what do you expect?  It hasn't been developed in years.  Manage your expectations.

Just wanted to update this thread because https://coin-miners.info/ now offers 20 coins among eight algorithms, including Skunk (Signatum) and Tribus (Denarius).   They did not get successfully hacked during the YIIMP Skunk theft unlike other YIIMP pools, so that should count for something.  Pool fee is 1% except for .25% for skunk.
