Hi all,
I have received my miner, but I have a strange problem. After running about 2 minutes the miner front display stops working well, and is only showing strange signs.
Does anyone have an idea what is wrong here?
Kind regards,
RmB2u

noobie question -- please be kind
do I need to launch the qt with -server in order to stake?
What do you mean by -server? If you're not staking, your wallet might be locked. Ignoring the issue of a locked wallet for the moment ... I mean launch the qt as follows .... silkcoin-qt.exe -server

Only a fork at 60k.
This block is higher than that -- any ideas why it would not show up in my wallet (assuming my address is correct, of course) Can you remove everything in your folder except wallet.dat and download the blockchain again? I can try that -- I had downloaded the block chain zip file, and let it sync the last 4 days worth. Download the blockchain directly trough the client. avoid the zip file That did it, good idea -- I would suggest that the block zip be deleted and the instructions changed if it cannot be used ~nh

All 110V users Hello to all our new world clients. It looks like for the 110V the optimal starting voltage is 0.650V or even 0.645V. Please update your settings and you might get better hashing rate (wait for 30 minutes after reset to see where miner settles).
Will the SP30 have dual 120/240V circuits for US miners?

Why not e-mail to change the shipping to hosting?
This thread is very long -- can you give me a quick link to the hosting monthly pricing? ~nh

Thanks for keeping us updated.
If you do end up in the red after the refund, do please let us know. Like I said in an earlier post, that's a risk we knew, and we should all share it.

Guys, I think we need a separate thread for the discussion of technical issues. Is it possible someone to create such

Without being pushy -- what is your timeframe for sending out the refunds to us?

Some figures: currently, with 3x 1 TH/s desks we are producing approx. 1.33 Bitcoin/week, (€438/week based on 1 Bitcoin = €330) costing in NL €110 euro per week on electricity (paying €0.20/kwh). So per desk that is (with the current difficulty) approx. € 109 / week profit (to pay of the initial investment of approx € 3000 / desk including pickup cost and additional received CCP), with increasing difficulty level it will be difficult (or impossible?) to gain back the initial costs but it is an interesting adventure... Unless the bitcoin price is going up (substantially), then their would be a chance to gain some profit... Just curious ... where are you mining?

ooops sorry for the delay in updates. I've requested that all the miners get refunded as it'll be difficult for us to generate the same amount of BTC with difficulty so high. Right now my account says that:
"Refund ready for process"
So as soon as they send me the bitcoins, we'll distribute the coins back to everyone.
Please keep watching this thread. And verify that your addresses are correct!
Charles
If it not too much ... can you update this thread every 2 or 3 days, even with a "still waiting" Thanks -- nhminer
