1401  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Nano Ledger Sending BTC Fee And Time? on: September 15, 2019, 08:40:20 PM
Well if you do lot of transactions whether small or medium or big, always upgrade it to bech32 addresses?  When did this came a thing?  I never heard of bech32 address previously.

Bech32 has been available in Electrum since 1st November 2017. Bitcoin Core introduced it in the 0.16 update. SegWit was actived on 24th August 2017. If more users upgraded to native SegWit, major services and wallets would be forced to support it. Unfortunately, it's not that easy. You should upgrade if you don't mind the previously mentioned inconvenience.

But if i upgrade to bech32 address, you are saying if i send the 4 sat which is the standard, it is even faster?

Your transaction will weight less which means that you will be able to afford paying a higher fee. Miners are more likely to choose your transaction in such a case.
1402  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Nano Ledger Sending BTC Fee And Time? on: September 15, 2019, 06:32:18 PM
In other words, don't bother with it right?

If you don't intend to move your coins in the next few months or want to use services which support it then you might consider using it. You have already been saving some money thanks to nested SegWit which is fully compatible with every wallet and service.

So if you send 1 sat or 2 sat, expect it to take almost 1 hour or so?  But anything standard or more, 30 minutes?

It depends on a few things. 1 sat/byte has been enough to get a transaction confirmed in the next block for a long time now. Sometimes, a block is not found for 20-40 minutes or the Bitcoin price suddenly surges/spikes so many people move their coins at the same time.
1403  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Nano Ledger Sending BTC Fee And Time? on: September 15, 2019, 06:08:54 PM
I notice in the bottom on the explorer info, it said i saved like 25% by upgrading to segwit but could save 13% mofe if i upgrade to native segwit- bech32.  What is native segwit-bech32?

Native SegWit is a new type of address which is not supported by all services and wallets but allows you to save more money on the fees as the block explorer states. You can get one by generating a new wallet in Electrum. As for the hardware wallets, Ledger supports such addresses since the recent update while Trezor requires you to pair it with Electrum. These addresses start with bc1. The more people switch to native SegWit, the more transactions will fit in a block.
1404  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Nano Ledger Sending BTC Fee And Time? on: September 15, 2019, 06:05:58 PM
But you are saying its fine to make it 1 sat/byte fee nowadays?

Yes. You can always check the recommended transaction fee here. It is fairly accurate.

When you ask how long did you expect transaction to take... i thought all transactions take within 10 minutes now at the most if you do standard fee?

They do as long as the price of Bitcoin doesn't change much. Keep in mind that blocks are not mined exactly 10 minutes after the previous one. 10 minutes between the blocks on average is the target.
1405  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Nano Ledger Sending BTC Fee And Time? on: September 15, 2019, 05:55:10 PM
When i went to view it on the block explorer, it shows unconfirmed still.  I thought transactions are very fast now when you do standard for the fees?

It looks like that there hasn't been any block found in the last 20 minutes. That's the reason why your transaction hasn't been confirmed yet. Hardware wallets usually recommend higher than needed fee even when selecting a standard one.

Jeżeli masz jakąś propozycję, to słucham Smiley
1407  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Generate All bitcoin addresses with balance on: September 15, 2019, 02:49:20 PM
I was wondering if there was a way to retrieve all bitcoin public addresses with a non-zero balance.

You should be able to do it using this BlockParser. Note that you will have to run a fully synchronised node with txindex set to 1.

1409  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: [HELP] Trezor Wallet using Android on: September 15, 2019, 08:46:55 AM
I already selected a trezor account then inside that account I have multiple address that has btc balance, so what I want to do is select only a particular address where I can spend remaining BTC, just like my example in the first post.

It looks like this feature is not supported by Mycelium, sorry. I don't think if there is any other Android Bitcoin wallet with hardware wallet support and coin control. Samourai Wallet has a basic coin control but it doesn't support hardware wallets. The only way to do that right now, is pairing your wallet with Electrum on a PC.

There are anywhere from 1-4 slots open. Yahoo's LiveCoin blacklist will be in effect for this round.

Awesome, thanks for all help! If you have a refer link, I'll use it.

I have applied for Trezor affiliate program, but I am waiting for them to review my application so I can't PM you a refferal link yet. If you don't mind waiting, I should get one next week. Feel free to ask me any questions once you get your device.
1412  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: I'm buying a hardware wallet on: September 13, 2019, 07:47:04 PM
Ok. Started to wounder about my backup device (model one) that I probably don't need it since it's so easy to restore it on electrum. I haven't decided yet but what is your take on a backup device?

Trezor T is my "daily driver" because of its enormous screen and passphrase entry. I use Trezor One as a backup since I got it for free for helping out with Trezor web interface translation. It's small so it is fairly easy to hide. Anyway, if something happened to my Trezor T, I would buy a new one. I have some coins on my phone (Samourai wallet) just in case I needed some money.

I also had Ledger Nano S and Nano X. I guess I'll stick to Trezor and Electrum if I ever need to recover my wallet. You should be fine with Electrum if your device breaks or gets lost, but don't import your seed there unless it happens.
1413  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: I'm buying a hardware wallet on: September 13, 2019, 06:53:55 PM
I saw a video and he said that it was only possible to labeling the transaction if you was connected to dropbox. What do you guys say about that? Doesn't sounds as something that you want to share with them..

Trezor creates a folder in user's Dropbox and stores data there. Dropbox cannot learn about your addresses and labels since Trezor automatically encrypts all the data. I don't use this feature anymore. In the future, it will be possible to save labels to an external SD card on Trezor T.
1414  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Electrum and Nano S via Offline computer on: September 13, 2019, 02:48:10 PM
Doesn't this defeat the whole purpose of an offline computer?

This could be mitigated by using QR codes for loading unsigned transactions and broadcasting the signed ones. Anyway, that's very unlikely to happen and the malware can't do any harm to the Nano S.
1415  Local / Tablica ogłoszeń / Re: Sprzedam nowego Ledgera Nano X on: September 13, 2019, 02:10:04 PM

1416  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Electrum and Nano S via Offline computer on: September 13, 2019, 09:09:31 AM
✔segwit works" and I'm trying it with P2SH so I assume it should work?

Yes, it should work if you move your funds to a nested SegWit address. You will also benefit from slightly lower fees. Some of my funds are on a native SegWit address on my Trezor. I can check for you if it works. It should be the same for Ledger.
1417  Local / Polski / Re: Czemu nie nagradzamy sie Meritami? on: September 12, 2019, 09:45:32 AM

1418  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: I'm buying a hardware wallet on: September 11, 2019, 10:40:10 PM
Use a piece of scratch paper to keep writing down the seeds while you're playing with it.

There is no need to do that. Trezor does not force users to back up the seed right after initializing the device. A large warning is shown in the web interface if it's not backed up. Once the backup is created, it is no longer possible to display the seed. One can still run a test-recovery, though. Here's more information.
1419  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: I'm buying a hardware wallet on: September 11, 2019, 09:15:35 PM
Ok the label is one thing but the main package with the trezor should be in another package? Have you all made an order to your home? It's like saying that you wil have some coins at home..

They won't obviously stick the label on the box. It will be properly packed so that no one will know what is inside without opening it. I ordered it to my home because I had no other choice. You can always use a passphrase for your savings and use the default wallet as a dummy one with small amount of coins.
1420  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: I'm buying a hardware wallet on: September 11, 2019, 08:40:50 PM
I couldn't find anything about this in trezors Ordering and shipping FAQ.. How does the package look like? Can the postman see that it is from trezor?

The label on the shipping package will obviously state that it was sent from the TREZOR HQ. Trezor One box has two seals while Trezor T should have one on its USB-C port. Both devices should come without any firmware installed. You should be prompted to download it from the official Trezor website. Here you can see how the holograms should look like.
