that is pathetic. Many of the others have suffered pretty big setbacks as well, but not 100% worth. I hope the bleeding stops soon. Nobody seems interested in the coin, volume is a pathetic $17 million.. not many are buying or selling and there is zero hype or interest it seems.
I wonder if nem blew its wad during that $2 runup and will take years to recover.. hopefully not because it will be forgotten if that is the case.
nem coin has almost 4 years. It's a pretty long time for a coin in cryptoworld. I think that we don't have to worry so much. We just wait until more and more app will start running on xem's blockchain and wait until the memory of the hack will be gone. |

Quando tu vai in banca e chiedi un prestito la banca non ti presta contanti ma ti fa credito cioè ti permette di spendere in anticipo qualcosa che al momento non puoi permetterti ma che poi dovrai restituire con interessi! Quei soldi che ti verranno dati per un mutuo, comprare auto, ecc. in sostanza non esistono. Però il credito è la parte più importante dell'economia perché permette di spingere la spesa e portare crescita economica. Senza credito l'economia collasserebbe! Ovviamente una banca non può fare credito all'infinito ma tutto dipende dalla quantità di contanti che vengono depositati creando moltiplicatore monetario con la cosiddetta riserva frazionaria! Chi fa credito si aspetta di guadagnare attraverso gli interessi e se il debitore sarà un buon pagatore ne riceverà altri e così via. Probabilmente anche il tuo stipendio sarà pagato con credito che tu userai per ripagare i tuoi debiti creando i famosi cicli di debito a breve e a lungo termine. I had heard a lot about Decred and never looked into it that much. Definitely wish I would have sooner. It honestly sounds too good to be true but the proof is in the pudding.
- Many coins will start PoW and then switch to PoS but Decred is the only one I know of that is a PoW/PoS hybrid and plans to stay that way, making it arguably the most democratic and for-the-people coin around as well as
one of the most secure.
- The governance model is unmatched. The method of suggesting changes to the network and then validating or rejecting those changes is straightforward and sensible.
- The dev team is unreal. I haven't found a team with these credentials outside of the top 20 marketcap, and there are teams within the top 20 that aren't nearly as good.
- The dev fund from each block allows all of those skilled devs to continue working on Decred as long as the coin maintains a decent value, and based on what I've seen I think that will be true for the foreseeable future. One
risk is that miners and stakers are less incentivized to maintain the network but that does not seem to be an issue.
These were the big takeaways that got me excited about this project. I hope this will get others to check it out as well.

Immagina se facessero una cosa del genere nel parlamento italiano, del tipo: i politici più anziani e con lo stipendio più alto potranno scegliere dei giovani politici da far crescere di livello, però al tempo stesso più giovani politici crescono e più si riduce lo stipendio dei veterani perché prenderanno da li i soldi per pagargli lo stipendio. Ora dimmi, quale veterano farebbe mai salire di livello un giovane che gli porta via parte dello stipendio? E soprattutto, perché mai dovrebbe farlo? Perché gli sta a cuore il Paese? Per cortesia... Ecco, cosi è come penso che sia diventato questo forum. ma quali sono queste campagne in cui non i legendary non trovano posto? Non so, davvero si sentono così minacciati? forse ho poca esperienza io di sign campaign, ma non leggo mai post del tipo "max 10 legendary" o simili tra le regole. Non si tratta di non trovare posto, si tratta di stake. Mi pare ovvio che per un Legendary sia meglio partecipare ad una campagna con 3-4 altri Legendary piuttosto che 20 che si prendono 10 stake a testa... è vero, messa sotto quest'ottica la cosa può avere più senso. Ma resta il fatto che 20 legendary possono essere sostituiti da 100 full member. E' che davvero, io non capisco. Ci sono così tante campagne, alcune che pagano in maniera indipendente al numero di partecipanti, e salire a hero/legendary richiedeva comunque tanto tempo. Ora è come se fosse tutto bloccato... |

Now there are a lot of analytical articles about the fact that NEM will become a real competitor for ETH. I think that makes sense. In a few years NEM will become a very strong platform if the project will also develop rapidly and sign contracts with well-known companies.

You are clearly the idiot here. First, ek is the developer on the project and in case you can't read back just a couple posts, you'll clearly see he is still working on the project. Second, I voluntarily (as in unpaid) provided a fully functional miner for the project simply because I found the concept interesting. So what now is your expectation...that I spend the rest of my life working on this project for free just to make you (and others like you) money? You should be happy that someone provided their time working on the project for free in the hopes to move it forward rather than post a bunch of crap. And if you want to check on the progress of the project, why would you be looking for updates on the completed miner github, instead of the ongoing work that ek is doing on the compute engine in his github. It's dicks like you that made it so I have no interest in working on the project anymore. i totally agree with you coralreefer. Al di la dell'orientamento politico di ognuno sarebbe un'ottima cosa. Bisogna dimostrare a chi ne sa poco che blockchain non è solamente bolle, deep web e speculazioni, ma un metodo che può rivoluzionare interi settori.
Bisogna riportare il concetto di blockchain nella sfera della condivisione e della sicurezza. Al momento non è più cosi.

If you can't spin the the response of XEM core to the hack as anything other than self-serving talking points and opportunistic marketing, I'd understand. It did seem fairly indefensible, and the market apparently feels the core devs' appallingly hand-waving self-congratulatory response was worse than the actual hack.
You need to get your facts straight. The hack was not the fault of XEM / NEM code, it was due to the way the Coincheck exchange was coded, it was clearly their fault. You need to learn more about XEM / NEM. Youtube is a great resource, you should try it. Here is a video that has an insightful interview on the topic of XEM / NEM and how it compares to ETH which is a less advanced / not as feature rich smart contract platform. I never said the hack was the fault of XEM/NEM code. Please learn to comprehend written words before accusing me of not understanding what is like the 20th or 30th exchange hack I've been through. What are the straight facts regarding exactly what problem XEM solves? Do you even know what problem XEM is a solution in search of? ETH is shit too. I don't care if XEM is slightly less shitty and useless than VitalikToken; that doesn't answer my question in a responsive way because it's just a deflection. You can't defend the XEM core devs' *RESPONSE TO* the hack because it was obviously hand-waving and self-congratulatory to an appalling degree.
