1401  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: SEC crackdown on exchanges on: August 07, 2017, 01:12:02 AM
Anyone have concerns about this causing the alt coin market to crater? How much time do we have till the SEC makes their move? Also, what happens if an exchange were to shut down? Do the coins just go poof?

https://www.coindesk.com/legal-experts-warn-of-coming-crackdown-on-token-exchanges/

https://www.coindesk.com/tokens-can-be-securities-even-ico-advisors-agree-with-the-sec/

I think it's inevitable for US based exchanges. They'll have to be regulated or move out of the us and not sell to us consumers.

This will definitely spook people. Keep your coins in your wallet and not on the exchange.
But some of the people in US try to use VPN or another.  There is some exchange site based in US such as polo and coinbase. But i prefer to use the canadian exchange such as kraken or russian exchange.
It will be safe in my opinion.
1402  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Coins with dividends on: August 07, 2017, 01:07:46 AM
Coins that issue dividends :

1) Janus [JNS] | https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1677509.0 | has issued small dividends
2) Singulardtv [SNGLS] | https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1562292.0 | not yet
3) Supernet [UNITY] | https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1396233.0 | (stopped issuing dividends, may issue some soon)
4) Chronobank [TIME] | https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1680361.0 | not yet
5) Iconomi [ICN] | https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1789926.0 | coins are purchased then burned
6) POSW [POSW] | https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1695121.0 |
7) Augur [REP] | https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=860629.0 |
8 ) DigixDAO [DGD] | https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1417151.0 |
9) Taas
10) Xaurum
11) Vslice
12) RLT
13) SAFEX
14) TXO
15) DOTs
16) Waves (other coins are issued as dividends)
17) Mobile GO

I think you are forgetting about the wings project which has distributed the dividend through the forecast platform. And it's already working fine. But vslice and xaurum only the coin that had the worked system to distribute the regular dividend to the investors.
1403  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Waves Future! on: August 07, 2017, 01:01:55 AM
I've explored the Waves platform and they've built something useful. With that, price appreciation will follow.

You're totally wrong if you're saying the platform is useful. Even waves devs said the current platform is not meeting the needs of the users. It lacks lots of features. It's very basic.
I don't like the platform but i just like the waves dex. It was very useful rather than use common exchange site with a lot of the verification. Connecting with another just like the nodes to keep the decentralized of the exchange site.
1404  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The difference between the stake and the token on: August 05, 2017, 02:35:20 PM
stake is percentage of total coin in a campaign.
if a bounty has 100 coins and if total stake is 100 then 1stake = 1 coin. other wise you need to calculate.

Thanks for your response. And this coins will be paid to the ethereum addresses as tokens, right ?
It depends on the developer If the developer is using another asset such as waves, or nxt asset and you will be using waves or nxt address to receive your asset. I think that already explained by the bounty manager or thread.
1405  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: POLONIEX Down Again!! on: August 05, 2017, 02:30:58 PM
i think polo is going to be the next biggest fail in crypto world. They are having too much problems and i withdraw all my coins from polo.

Wow looks the polo has a lot of problems. But i already withdraw all of my funds from them in the previous month. But my suggestion just tries to withdraw all of your amounts from them. It can't be considered as a safe place right now. My friend's withdraw didn'[t get approval by them.
1406  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: High potential Chinese ICOs or coins on: August 04, 2017, 11:12:34 PM
Does anyone know of any Chinese ICOs or Chinese coins that have potential to get big. Something like NEO or QTuM.
you can check EOS based ICOs. they full of chinese. and they got very big investments.
you can check this ico page: https://ico.info/projects

Thanks. I will look into it. I saw a news few days ago that ICO Spam in China has a severe punishments. so we have a low chance of getting Spam ICOs.
But the crowdsale of eos still run and it will be long almost a year. That makes me doubt to invest on the eos ico which there is an opportunity to buy the eos token every time in this time. The eos try to reborning ethereum as far as i know .
1407  Economy / Economics / Re: Trading Bitcoin for real estate? on: August 04, 2017, 11:06:21 PM
I am wondering how many of you are selling your bitcoins to buy something solid like real estate as backup investment? spread the eggs!
I'm already sold some of my bitcoin to buy real estate, but if you are looking for the exact number of the users that already bought real estate and it can't be determined. It is a safe investment and good to be your backup rather than use the insurance.
1408  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is BitcoinCash a good investment? on: August 04, 2017, 11:03:44 PM
Is BitcoinCash a good investment now? Can you share some reasons why it is good or not good.

Thank you!
It is not a good investment right now, As you can see the price gets dumped really a lot every time due to the massive bcc holders try to get free bucks and invest in another coin. But I can say it is not good for you, but if you want to bet on the polo listed and you can buy it now.
1409  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin prices rise high on: July 31, 2017, 02:06:28 PM
In my opinion, prices will start to rise because of the impact of declining revenues on mining, as well as an increasing volume of transactions that can grow so that the number of transactions will continue to increase as new users find profits. On the other hand the development of Bitcoin ecosystem which will add value to the network.
It not caused by the declining revenue on mining but the bitcoin gets hype due to the segwit update tomorrow and the more people want to grab more money through linked their bitcoin in the exchange or electrum wallet. Tomorow will be the final day for the hype of segwit bitcoin.
1410  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Trading All BTC for ETH? on: July 30, 2017, 02:48:59 PM
Would you guys say this is a good idea?  Say someone has 10 BTC.  If you swap it for ETH, you can get around 135 ETH at the moment.  ETH is around 200 dollars.  And because its 200 dollars, well doesnt it have a better chance of going higher than bitcoin in terms of doubling your money or more?  I mean is it easier/harder for bitcoin to double right now... or ETH to double right now?  I would say ETH because the amount is much less.  Now imagine with 135 ETH, ETH goes to 1000 or 2000 dollars a coin.  That would be lot of profit.  Of course if you have extra money on the side, you could just buy ETH.  But if you are low in funds, is this good/bad idea?

Its risky . Its better to have 35-70% on it. Although Eth got promising features it got a better platform and there are lot of ICO built on it.
No, the future of ethereum will not be related to the all of the icos project already run in that ecosystem but the more updates and network improvement such as Pos that has included on the metropolis update. That gives the fixed supply for ethereum. The miners can't dump it in the market again.
1411  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: alts 2 buy in august on: July 30, 2017, 02:44:34 PM
On August 2, I am going to buy Waves,  Bitshares, and ETH. These are blockchain altcoins. More ICOs are created under their blockchain. So its wise to buy a lot of them while their price are small.
Does it good to choose those altcoins which already have the big value of market capitalization? I think that the people interested with the altcoin which has low market capitalization caused by that will be so easy to pump it in the future comparing with the big coin such as ether bitshares and waves.
1412  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: A new smart contract platform? on: July 27, 2017, 02:28:29 PM
There are already other smart contract platforms. Some were originated from Ethereum forks (such as Ubiq and Expanse) and others are independent.

However, Ethereum is still under constant development and they have new releases planned to solve the issues you mentioned. You should try to read about the Metropolis release planned for later this year and plans of implementing Proof-of-Stake and other improvements in the network.

I googled it and found a post from february that looks interesting:
https://www.ethnews.com/ethereums-road-map-for-2017

So, for me, Ethereum technology still plays a major role in the future of blockchain and I am not looking for another smart contract platform to support.
I agree with you, the metropolis update looks good for the future of ethereum platform. And i have remembered vitalik said that pos implemented already over 75% ready and i think in the next year we will see the pos already implemented that makes the price of ethereum goes to the moon.
1413  Economy / Economics / Re: AMD said that revenue this year is comparable with last year's income. on: July 27, 2017, 01:56:33 PM
Does the amd company also invest in bitcoin? Or are their products widely used in bitcoin world?
Dude, have you ever read the post above you? You just made the post with unknown direction.  Roll Eyes

Due to the growing demand for graphics cards they have already earned more than $ 800 million. This is a real achievement of bitcoin.
Not really an achievement.  More like a symbol that cryptocurrencies' Proof of Work system is the least efficient thing ever created.

Seriously, people are spending hundreds of millions of dollars to prove that they can waste money and make a chain secure.

An "achievement" would be figuring out a way to fix this without resorting to shit systems like PoS.
They are not only securing the chain of the pow coin but they are also trying to throw the coin every day to the market. That was for sure. It just an achievement caused by the hype to mine the money from pow coin.
1414  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Good place to buy bitcoins for 100 000 $ will pay 0.1 btc for help. on: July 27, 2017, 01:44:55 PM
https://www.coinmama.com/ limit of $5,000/day support worldwide.
https://www.bitstamp.net/ limit of daily €5,000/day support worldwide.
http://bitbay.net/ limir of $5,000/day not really as best suggest.

already trying them. In verification process.

Got verification  on bitstamp. But seems the only way is direct bank transfer right? You cant just pay from your card?
The direct transfer will be a good way for that. Remember you want to buy a lot of bitcoin. There are some ways for you to buy the bitcoin for safely. Just try to buy everyday with a little part.
My thought the service such as cex.io, localbitcoin.

remember the coinmama already accepted the card payment and so you are be able to use it to buy bitcoin as far as i know.
1415  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Goin' down? on: July 25, 2017, 03:08:50 PM
Blood starting again? What is your thoughts? Market Cap: $89.894.156.690
It's not blood but the market has told you about the best time to buy the cheap coin that gives you a lot of profit in the future. My guess the price of the coin will be recovered straight with the next bullish trend of the bitcoin itself.  Tongue
1416  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Race to 100 USD Poll: XMR vs LTC on: July 25, 2017, 03:03:32 PM

Ok guys, this should be a fun poll and I encourage everyone to vote.  It doesn't matter which coin you support, this isn't a discussion on which is better or any of that sort.  I just want a fun poll and let's try to keep everything light.  Smiley

Monero and Litecoin are basically tied at 44 USD to 45 USD.  This should be a good race.  Please post your comments below after voting.

Enjoy!

I will vote for monero. I were remember that the bitmixer already closed its service due to the make the bitcoin to be more transparency. There is no a reason for another mixer service to be exist in these days. i think the demand of the anonymous crypto should go to the monero.
1417  Economy / Economics / Re: Whats next after BIP 91? on: July 25, 2017, 09:39:56 AM
After reading about BIP 91 on coindesk, this obviously isn't a permanent solution for the possible fork in BTC. Does anyone know what will come after in the coming months?
Those are saying another wave for the bitcoin will come in september, i mean BIP148 and the possibility of the split for bitcoin in the future. A lot of people have discussed that at this time.
I think there is a possibility while we see another fork will come in the future.
1418  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Good time to buy Kore on Bittrex ? on: July 22, 2017, 06:07:29 AM
Seems like Kore is going up,..... They have a very good product and Team http://korecoin.net/
https://steemit.com/bitcoin/@sparksss/korecoin-the-new-anonymous-decentralized-voip

Just buy it before the coin gets pump. YOu can try to put some of your amount on kore. I will believe that will gives a good return for you as far as i know. because i always try to spend a little amount to buy the new portfolio. and waiting for the pump.  Cool
1419  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What was your biggest cryptocurrency return? on: July 22, 2017, 06:05:21 AM
Have you ever spent $1 on cryptocurrency and got $1000 in return or something similar?
Here's all of my history.

I buy 1.25 BTC worth of round token at 40 satoshi and I sell them at 3k satoshi that gives me over 50 btc return. that was my luck because a lot of the people just know the developer of round was inactive and try to dump all of round below 50 satoshi.

I put 3 btc in stratis at 8k satoshi and i sell them all at 100k satoshi that gives me over 30 btc return.

But i passed to buy ethereum at 10 dollar. that sucks.

 Cool
1420  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How do people sell ICO coins before release? on: July 06, 2017, 10:32:53 PM
Several times I have seen ICO coins been sold at really high prices on exchanges, however I see this happening before they coins are even possible to deposit to an exchange. How is this possible? For example right now Zrcoin is being traded on HITBTC, but I can't deposit my coins that I got in the ICO because on the deposit page there is a message: "Please note that ZRC is an IOU for future issued token. Until the blockchain is released withdrawals and deposits are unavailable. Please accept our apologies for the inconvenience."
How can it be traded when it is not possible to deposit the coin?

They trade IOUs.
After the end of the ICO, tokens will be transferred to their account.

What are IOUS?
You can see on the HitBTC exchange site, A lot of them are still IOUs token, That means if it is the future token and not the real asset from the project itself. it pretty strange to see the price will go high as fast as possible. A little bit scammy for me.
