14161  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Who is the creator of the bitcoin??? on: February 24, 2014, 06:04:50 PM
Its Nick Szabo.... Trust me
http://unenumerated.blogspot.com/2005/12/bit-gold.html
https://likeinamirror.wordpress.com/2013/12/01/satoshi-nakamoto-is-probably-nick-szabo/

Also... Satoshi Nakamoto and Nick Szabo share a large letter similarity.... too large to be a realistic statistical chance.

What do you mean a 'large letter similarity'?
14162  Economy / Services / Re: [ProTraders] Signature Ad Campaign! [0.0125 BTC / Weekly] on: February 24, 2014, 05:56:19 PM
Well, it's hard to compete with a Bitcoin Casino. We're also offering a 2%+ credit towards people that trade with us. Also let's remember: not everything is about money.

Maybe, but would you take the exact same job if an offer came in but it paid you less?

If you have limited funds and want a respected members maybe offer 2-3 respected members to buy their signature spaces. Instead of making a signature campaign just employ some people to permanently post for you.

You could try this, but without significantly changing your terms in several ways I doubt you'll get anyone signing up to this.
14163  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Un-watch Topics on: February 24, 2014, 05:52:37 PM
Really? no easier way? that means trawlling 100s of pages of [ANN] posts to find mine. some have dropped off the recient posts list in my profile.

Thanks for the fast reply though.

Top right over the OP is an "unwatch" link, click it.
Wow. how did i not see that!!

Thanks

I'm not actually sure if that unwatch feature works, especially if you've got posts in the thread.
14164  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: "The last posting from your IP was less than 360 seconds ago..." on: February 24, 2014, 05:51:26 PM
I kept getting that to its a newb restriction, but wait does this cite take logs of I.P. addresses here and keep them on file?

To give to the NSA. I'm pretty sure most websites, especially forums, log IPs.
14165  Economy / Services / Re: [PrimeDice] [Highest Paid Signature] Earn up to 2.4 BTC/Month by Posting on: February 24, 2014, 05:28:55 PM
stunna said in his replies that the previous post dnt count..so cant i signup just now after changing my address?

You can. If you will manage to change your activity... Grin
whats the difference between a post and an activity?

You basically need to make at least 1 post every two week period to get your 14 activity points. I guess the activity confuses most at first, especially since it goes up with your post count up until the 14th point.

14166  Other / Meta / Re: Different approach to newbies on: February 24, 2014, 05:21:38 PM

Hardly a newb. He signed up on October 26, 2013, but I thought that guy was a bot at first:

14167  Economy / Services / Re: [PrimeDice] [Highest Paid Signature] Earn up to 2.4 BTC/Month by Posting on: February 24, 2014, 05:04:33 PM
do i need to signup every month for this service by telling my initial post count for that month, or do i have to signup just once and then i can keep on telling you my post for each month by pm?

You need to get 50 activity first, and then what deisik  said.

Just write them down or use little clues to them.
14169  Other / Off-topic / Re: Movie Recommendation Station on: February 24, 2014, 04:58:01 PM

14170  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Another industry in need of Bitcoin on: February 24, 2014, 04:48:48 PM
I think all industries can benefit from Bitcoin, but I think a lot are scared off by the price fluctuations. Hopefully it'll settle at some point in the future though.

14172  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: UK Banks Strangling Bitcoin Startups ----------- on: February 24, 2014, 04:23:53 PM
They can buy with ease in the UK. With Zipzap etc. it's probably now the easiest place in the world. There are just some pretty hefty premiums to get over.

Whether there'll ever be banks in the UK that do proper business is another matter. There are banks elsewhere in the EU that will take your business.

Yeah, but you can't sell with them, and OP is on about profits from a Bitcoin business. And you don't even need to use zip-zap in the UK, just go directly through Bittylicious.

So it is gonna be real  - btc is gonna be regulated. Won't it make it less popular as now it is free from any regulations and that is what make bitcoin attractive

If you want Bitcoin to be seen as a legitimate currency with mass adoption, then it is going to be regulated. Regulation isn't necessarily a bad thing.

Sorry, but like it or not, bitcoin has experience unprecedented growth because it CAN'T BE REGULATED, and no one, not even Lawsky, can change that.

Of course it can be regulated. How can it not?
Bitcoin cant be regulated because you cant KILL it and does not have a single point of failure.
is that simple , if uganda starts usinmg bitcoin unregulated  its useless to regulatie it in the US.
because company's will move to uganda.

It has a point of failure when people want to spend it or exchange it for cash. How can cash be regulated and Bitcoin can't? Why don't companies move to a place where money isn't regulated then?

Thats a taeporary situation why would people want to change it for cash???
its not needed only in the beginning , if cash will become more complex do to regulation bitcoin wil take over iots that simple.

Because at the moment you cant buy much with Bitcoin. Go try pay for your food, groceries and bills in Bitcoin and see if it's possible.
14174  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2014-02-23] Mt. Gox Removes All Twitter Posts on: February 24, 2014, 04:17:15 PM
Yeah, very strange. I'm not sure what the hell they are they playing at. They seem to be doing everything they can to cause panic and confusion.

Now why would they do that? Cheesy

It's not like you could sell off a bunch of the BTC they're holding, stop BTC withdrawal, tank their own exchange, buy up the cheap BTC on their own exchange, then open BTC withdrawals and claim "see, we're good guys"... The community has proven they'll come back to MtGox no matter how stupid shit gets.

It's possible, but I'm not sure if Mark's that smart.
14175  Economy / Gambling / Re: Do you think that we need new Ponzi section? on: February 24, 2014, 04:14:56 PM
a lot of people speacialy newbie like me lost their money cuz of this ponzi
i think mod should be aware with this
am i right?

If people didn't send them any money they'd soon go away.

but they encourage many newbie specialy when this people using their 'other' accounts just to attract other newbies

Well that's when people learn the hard way. They can only exist by exploiting peoples' naivety and greed. People just need to use their brains. Would you get in a strangers van If they offered you free sweets or money?  Cheesy

14176  Other / Off-topic / Re: Any Legit ways to make money online? on: February 24, 2014, 03:43:14 PM
Learn how to hack BTC wallets....
It is legit if you learn how... Smiley

I'm curious, where did you grow up, that stealing is considered "legit"?

District of Columbia?

Or possibly Nigeria  Cheesy.
14177  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2014-02-23] Mt. Gox Removes All Twitter Posts on: February 24, 2014, 03:41:32 PM
Not sure if there's any truth to it but somebody pointed out this:

A reddit user thinks there could be a more mundane reason for Twitter:

It was linked automatically to a service desk and the user contacted Gox about it - so he thinks they are just setting up their Twitter differently.

http://www.reddit.com/r/Bitcoin/comments/1yrqpm/mtgox_deletes_all_tweets_from_their_twitter_feed/?sort=new

EDIT look for:

[–]Delerium69 1 point 1 hour ago
Actually i mentioned this to the support management last week about it not being fit for purpose. Looks like they've listened.
Our service desk system was linked directly to twitter meaning that anytime anyone tweeted us, it created a ticket and was responded to via twitter when we resolve the cases.

Tweet malleability.

Grin. A couple of others I've seen:

Subscribe to their twitter account:

https://twitter.com/mtgox

They've just deleted all their tweets. That's not a good sign. No idea why they did that though.

It was an issue with tweet ID maleability. Tweet withdrawals will be enabled soon.

It's clearly a bug with Twitter... Everything will work again when Twitter fixes the problem...

I'm not so sure. No one else has a bug on their twitter.
14178  Other / Off-topic / Re: Where is the BitCoin? on: February 24, 2014, 03:39:54 PM
Now where is the BitCoin?
lol
That's like asking "Now where is the US Dollar?" when you read about a bank robbery.

Everytime I see someone refer to it as 'The Bitcoin' I always think of the Joker from Batman.

Can you give me link to this place on the blockchain?

What are you talking about? The place of what?
14179  Other / Meta / Re: Ponzi world taking over gambling section on: February 24, 2014, 03:28:55 PM
I dont like ponzi scheme...I do not know why people do engage in something like that... you can only lose.....

It's always the same reason: greed. People need to realise get rich quick schemes are usually always lose money fast schemes. People also need to learn if it's too good to be true then it probably is rule.
