Lol everyone eager to dump their BNT for profits. I see no exchange will add BNT. You guys will need to use the smart contract to liquidate your coins at 0.01 ETH

Why wouldn't exchanges add BNT? I believe lots of exchanges are eager to add BNT.

What is the main goal of the BNT tokens ? To eliminate exchangers right ? So i think exchangers will be reluctant to add the coin

For sure.BNT will be worthless token...

Why? Have you read the whitepaper?
1423  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: My Ether Wallet on: June 17, 2017, 11:10:38 AM
I have created a wallet on MEW (https://www.myetherwallet.com/) and I have a number of questions / clarification needed:

1) To my understanding, this is not an online wallet: the website simply generate a wallet address, and gives me the public and private keys, which I can then safely store offline or on a piece of paper, if I wish so, right?

2) Once I have the address generate at 1) above, I can then send ETH and/or a number of ETH tokens to this address, right?

3) the blockchain knows that this address has received this amount of ETH and that amount of tokens. If I'm in control of the private key, then I can use my ETH and/or token for whatever I please: transfer them to another user, another wallet, an exchange etc ... Correct?

4) Even though I store on my address different tokens and/or ETH, I only need one private key right? I.e. once I know the address and my private key that unlocks my wallet with all the content which I can then use as I prefer.

Thanks for helping to understand!
Cheers,
Jay
Yes you are right and the other service of ethereum wallet that simple and easy be used is jaxx.io, you can import the private key of ethereum in it, it support on mobile devices too, so you can use your coins in your hand. Also many altcoins be supported by jaxx.io ethereum, bitcoins, litecoin and other.

I really find the mobile support convenient. I Recommend myetherwallet

Isn't the mobile support unsafe? Supposed to be easy to hack an iPhone.

Still, as long as the coin represents a value and people want to trade them, they should be added on exchanges right?

1428  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Where to store ICO tokens? on: June 17, 2017, 10:42:03 AM
So where can I store ICO tokens that are built on Ethereum ERC20 Tokens

I know of Myetherwallet but its confusing to me.

I know you can send the ErC20 tokens to any Ether wallet, but where would i see the breakdown of how many I have in a wallet?

i think myetherwallet is the best option for you to send your tokens because i remember with my TIME tokens that already send into myetherwallet too and i don't have any problem with the wallet. maybe you are confusing with the fee because the fee is using different names, right? i think you need to find by yourself how much eth if you convert your gas.

I also think that myetherwallet is the best choice. I am a little confused with myetherwallet fee. Can you explain what is gas? Thanks before

I believe you need Ethereum as "gas" to make transactions. I'm not sure how much Ether you need for a normal transaction though.
1429  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Where to store ICO tokens? on: June 17, 2017, 10:24:44 AM
Hi guys,

I am also using MEW. I have secured MEW using a Keystore file, not a private key. Is that wise?

To make sure I don't lose access to my Wallet, should I have the keystore file on a USB or (for instance) e-mail the keystore file to myself?

1430  Local / Alt Coins (Nederlands) / Re: Meest belovende coin van dit moment (mei 2017) on: June 17, 2017, 10:08:38 AM
Ik zat te denken om EUR 100,= te investeren in de navolgende coins:

- Ripple
- Golem
- Stratis
- NXT
- Wings

Wat zeggen jullie daarvan?
1431  Local / Alt Coins (Nederlands) / Is MyEtherWallet veilig? on: June 17, 2017, 10:06:18 AM
Allen,

Can't you guys make a separate thread about his bounty? Not really interesting for the rest of us.
1433  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Bancor | Protocol for Smart-tokens, solving the liquidity problem on: June 13, 2017, 10:08:49 AM
Are there any indication of the opening price of Bancor on exchanges?

What circumstances will the exchange price depend on?

How fast do you think the 350 000 000 cap is reached?

tell me when, in crypto history, someone raised just half of this amount  Roll Eyes

Everyone wants in. This cap will be reached easily in the first 30 minutes. TheDAO rises half of this amount and Ethereum was like 36x cheaper back then, so in terms of ETH collected TheDAO has risen even more.

You should look at USD price, not at quantity of ETH.

..i'm saying this, but i'm going to invest in this ico, just to clarify  Grin

Most people do not look at USD price. We simply hold some amount of ETH and will invest some of it no matter if the price is X or Y. Someone decided to send 50 ETH, someone 5 and someone 500 and how it is priced that day is not that important. I think devs understand that and that's why it is capped in ETH and not in USD.

actually if 1 eth is $6 usd vs 1 eth being $364 usd is a huge difference and people look at the price in USD...If 1 eth is $50,000 usd would Bancor still ask for $500 per coin? Is 1 of their coin worth $500 usd then...

This 100 per eth ratio is not smart move for investors. It needs to be at least 500 - 1000 while ethereum is trading at $360 usd. Buying in a 50 cents and below is not bad.. it is not smart to price these coins so high at $3.60 USD initially because investors can get burned. You should be looking out for investors because you will be able to fund yourself the same rather or not you give out 100 coins vs 500 per eth.

1 BNT = 3.5$ (350 Mil. USD market Cap) looks like a good deal only for Bancor team to buy in ICO themselves and dump on sheep for quick money.

Yes BANCOR Please justify your coin being worth $3.60 USD each. You are not giving investors a good deal at $3.60 per coin. You can raise same amount of cash and have same amount of coins in circulation if you gave investors 500-1000 coins per ethereum vs 100 per eth. And you could limit investment risk. A good ratio would be 50 cents per coin anything over that is simply greed and risky investment and not a smart move for a crowdsale. The crowdsale manager already shows he is not smart about finding a common ground for investors and the company. It favors the company vs the shareholder.

It is 3,8 USD today.
It was 2,5 USD if you bought via Bitcoinsuisse.
Instant profit.

Can you explain this? People who bought via Bitcoinsuisse also pay 1 eth for 100 BNC right? They even pay an extra fee of approximately 100 euro fixed and 1,5%.

The only difference is when the investor bought his/her Ether.

Another question: will Bancor react to the right price of Ethereum at the moment? Of will they keep giving 100 bancor for 1 eth?
1435  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What Wallet should I use? on: June 07, 2017, 02:42:55 PM
I usually use Myetherwallet.com wallet to save my Altcoin, and so far Wallet MEW is no problem.

Go for myetherwallet, If it doesn't accommodate BANCOR, this means they might surely have their own wallet

Thanks guys!
1436  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What Wallet should I use? on: June 07, 2017, 10:43:46 AM
1. Generate key with MyEther Wallet Classic with priv key available and than print it and protect it Smiley,

2. If you have experience in storing paswords and you will not forget not lose it after 6 months than you might use standard key with passphrase.
Print it and remember passphrase.

So depends.

Why Bancor coins ?

Thank you for your advice. I will make an account on myetherwallet Smiley
1437  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What Wallet should I use? on: June 07, 2017, 07:19:10 AM
I am using MEW or https://www.myetherwallet.com/. So far its fine, and I do not have issues. But, please research first about this wallet in forums as there are other feedback from other users.

Thank you for your reply. Would it be able to hold Bancor coins?
1438  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / What Wallet should I use? on: June 07, 2017, 07:02:05 AM
Hi guys,

I need some advice on what Wallet i should use. I'm currently using Exodus for my Ethereum, but i'm going to invest in Bancor next week. I might have to get a new Wallet that can hold BNC (Bancor coins).

In terms of safetly and user friendlyness, what Wallet can you recommend?

Thanks in advance!

Can anyone please advise me what Wallet to use to hold the BNT? I'm using Exodus currently but they won't support BNC I assume.
