They won't liquidate the coins on an exchange. They will be sold auction-style. Shouldn't impact exchanges too much, unless the buyer decides to move the coins to an exchange.
1422  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Things at CampBX looking BAD: RED FLAGS on: October 25, 2013, 05:25:33 PM
Looks like they resolved most, if not all, of the issues complained about, just not in a timely manner. They are probably dealing with an unexpected inflow of fiat due to bitcoin's recent rise.

More chances to go to 202 than to hit 195....
I just hope it doesn't go below 190, otherwise panic will set in...
I think if we survive tonight in the 200's we will  have a quiet weekend and we will see 210-230 next week again and maybe an attempt at the record.

I already solved this dilemma the other day, it was a double top.

With a 5K wall at 175 and ~1K at each $5 interval, I don't see it going down too far.

BEARS ARE OUT OF COINS BUY BUY BUY!!!

? The bid depth is still atrocious, what are you talking about? Or are you trolling?

With the dump that took place less than 24 hours ago, and no money flowing into Gox, I'd say the bid depth isn't that bad.

I was more or less talking about how many coins the bears could possibly have, to make people think we are going to crash again, this time to 150, so soon.

Oh no, I definitely agree. It has rebuilt quickly and entirely. But its still bad. The $175 wall has resulted in bid sum rising about $750k USD from pre-'crash'.

Makes sense. The "denial" period dragged on due to difficulty in getting fiat out of exchanges.

Capitulation awaits!

Looks like btcChina is about to lead us into another dive.

dive dive dive dive dive dive dive

I wonder how this will play out without bitstamp being operational?

My guess is it wont end up being a major drop, but if it is.. imagine all the people lined up trying to log on to bitstamp and panic sell.

What isn't operational about bitstamp? The website loads for me. Is just the engine down?

tell me exactly where to place my bids, or GTFO.

Thanks.

Not enough money on the exchanges for a rocket to new highs. Down down down we go.
1430  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer - MtGoxUSD wall movement tracker - Hardcore on: October 24, 2013, 06:00:07 AM
Here's the deal. If we do not crash to double digits within 24hrs, I will become Ultramegabulltron 3000. My irrational optimism will dwarf anything you have seen from Adam.
1431  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer - MtGoxUSD wall movement tracker - Hardcore on: October 24, 2013, 05:57:52 AM
Dont confuse irrational behavior as support.

In a market as speculative as bitcoin, both support and resistance are the result of purely irrational gut instincts.

crashing is the best way to really see how good support is, i see strong support. good chance we rally higher tomorrow.

i'm going to lol very hard if my bid is filled when i wake up tomorrow

trying to sleep tonight is inadvisable.

First of all, that wasn't 1 person and if it was they are idiots.

You dont dump 10-15k BTC at market all at once. You could spend a couple of hours at least doing smaller trades and save yourself $10,000s.

So unless someone wants to burn money they dont dump like that at market. Of course, I think there are probably some pretty stupid BTC owners.

one person could be trying to ignite fear and cause more sell offs, only to buy back when the price is even lower...
That doesnt work in bitcoin. Look at the past 3 flashcrashes.

A few gain, most people just sit around break even or losses.

Look how quick bids fill in all of these times.

No one could be dumb enough to continuously try it. Its just "ALL NATURAL BOT-FREE, ORGANIC" panic.

I've got some organic panic in my pants  Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Wink

1437  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: CampBX Holding coins hostage for "Cold Wallet maintenance" on: October 24, 2013, 05:40:00 AM
the verification i spoke of in that thread was for bitstamp not CampBX

huh?:

I am trying to get verified on campbx so i can with draw my account balance there.  i mesaged support on either Thursday or Friday and was told:

There is a batch of KYC verifications scheduled to go out Sat night - your application should be in it.

Thank you,
CBX Support

However here it is Monday and I haven't heard from them since.

Should I be worried or just try and be patient?
