1421  Economy / Speculation / Re: When to buy one time off bitcoin. on: April 22, 2023, 07:13:21 PM
You can pretty much buy bitcoin anytime, DCA or not. The only time you shouldn't be going "all-in" is when its breaking and making new ATHs and you got celebrities and everyone pretty much talking about it. Pretty much what happened when we were at $50K last year. Everyone I knew was talking about bitcoin. You would go into an Uber and the driver was talking about how he put all his savings into it because its going to $100,000.

When that happens you shouldn't put all your money into it because it'll be the top. This is exactly what happened when we were at $69K, and same in 2017 when we were at $20K and also same in 2013 when we broke $1K. When there is an exponential move, you need to be prepared its going to be the near top and avoid investing then. Aside from that, buy bitcoin anytime.
1422  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Where can I invest 4k bitcoin on: April 21, 2023, 04:33:59 AM
So you want to basically invest $4000 of your money and expect to gain $36500 after a year. Don’t know what you heard but you can’t get rich off Bitcoin anymore.

Lately most people who invest end up losing most of their investment in scam tokens, leverage trading , NFTs or just get their crypto stolen.

1423  Economy / Economics / Re: COIN says regulate but have a rulebook - can help run Business or we leave US! on: April 21, 2023, 04:31:14 AM
Because Gensler really needs to be fired. They drew up a bill for his termination and perhaps next month he will be replaced.

He did nothing to protect us from FTX or Celcius but now is going after good exchanges like kraken or Coinbase. Look how many years the ripple lawsuit has gone on for. And for what. Same with the BTC etf rejections. He needs to be replaced ASAP.
1424  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [Link] How to be eligible for potential ZkSync retrospective airdrop on: April 18, 2023, 04:08:42 AM
The Era blockchain currently doesn’t support much. Most of it is in beta form and you don’t want to use real funds, use the test net demo tokens for that.

Cheapest way if you want to get into ZkSync is to use a bridge from a network other than Ethereum. Ethereum will be crazy expensive. Use something like Polygon, I think it was around $2-3 to bridge to ZkSync lite.

Then you need to pay like $1 per address you want to spend from, don’t know why. You just pay this once. Most likely they do this so people don’t create thousands of accounts I guess.

The fees? Not that cheap to be honest. Maybe on Era they will be cheaper.
1425  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading Bitcoin in 1 Minute charts on: April 18, 2023, 04:01:50 AM
Don’t trade the m1 chart, it’s full of random events and almost impossible to predict. You should be trading off 1H at least. If you are new then trade off the H4 or higher time frames.

The higher timeframe the more people will be looking at the same setup and you have a better chance of getting it to work. With lower timeframes it’s more difficult. Don’t listen to those who say they day trade and scalp off 1m, most are liars.
1426  Economy / Economics / Re: Does Banks really manipulates us? on: April 18, 2023, 03:58:39 AM
The issue isn’t with the banks but it poor financial literacy. Hence why you got people buying $1000 car notes or people buying their pizza and financing it with those “buy now pay later” programs.

Americans are known for living in debt and they have for years, it’s the dream pretty much as some would say. And as long as you have a job you should be fine. The trouble starts if there is unemployment and then it can get bad for many people.
1427  Economy / Speculation / Re: Correction from $30K: Reason to worry? on: April 18, 2023, 03:55:42 AM
It’s too early to say. We would need a bad looking weekly candle or some type of failed double top. Yes it looks scary because we are at major resistance but the same happened in early 2019 when we broke thru $6k.

Many sold or shorted at $6K but it never had a double top or had a bad weekly close and hence why we just went thru it like butter. Could be the same situation here. We need more time in this area to see if we will break or not.
1428  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Miami 2023 Price Prediction on: April 18, 2023, 03:53:20 AM
Is this the conference when that Max Keizer was burning fiat? I remember that conference got pretty crazy from what I saw of the videos.

I don’t think bitcoins price had anything to do with the conference, it was just during a bullish period. Remember consensus 2018? People assumed Bitcoin would hit new ATH but it went lower that month.
1429  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will ETH has the capacity to pass BTC? on: April 17, 2023, 03:55:47 AM
There are still developments happening with BTC so it’s very possible there will be many L2 like Arbitrium and Opensea which will be secured by the l1 network however it’s basically difficult now because the network is very basic and makes it harder to develop compared to ETH which has smart contracts.

So you can value Ethereum as higher since just because you can run smart contracts on it doesn’t means it’ll win over Bitcoin. Plus POW in my opinion is more decentralized and secure compared to ETH POS at the moment. And decentralization is very important to crypto.
1430  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Dumping ground on: April 17, 2023, 03:52:45 AM
There are hundreds of not thousands of these dead projects. Basically as soon as there are no bids at 1 sat for the token or it’s delisted from every exchange you can say it’s good as dead.

Not all dead projects were scams but they just weren’t marketed correctly. These days it’s all about the amount of money you put towards marketing your tokens to determine how it will perform in the future. Many projects just couldn’t afford the proper ads and just died off.
1431  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: XLM - yes or no? on: April 17, 2023, 03:49:10 AM
Honestly I don’t think it will go anywhere. It was huge in last cycle and many made tons of money but it lost its shine with this cycle just like many other coins. Remember EOS, yeah you probably never heard of it but it was very popular back in the day.

Now nobody wants to buy these tokens they rather just go for the new and better technology like Arbitrium or Blur which I can see actually running this year unlike XLM which will trade sideways or go down.
1432  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What makes ARB price keep climbing despite occasional drops ? on: April 17, 2023, 03:45:33 AM
It never went to $0.50. It launched and spiked to like $1.50 and then went down to $1.10, probably front running all the buyers at $1 and rallied from there. We hit $1.70 and we might run to $2 this week unless bitcoins and ether stays under the $30K and $2K marks.

Why is it rallying? Who knows. Maybe because L2 is very important to use many of these Dapps because ETH is not good for small transactions. Then there are also the government regulations out there which make Defi very popular.
1433  Economy / Speculation / Re: Progression in price on: April 17, 2023, 03:40:33 AM
I think what we will get will be different from the past. We might get a mini bubble and trade sideways from there. There are way too many issues now with crypto regulations and also issues with the economy to head to $100K anytime this year.

Sure it would be great however you need to understand that many people think there is going to be a recession, there are banks tightening and inflation is still not at 2%. And with the OPEC mess last month we will probably get an uptick in inflation next month.
1434  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: FTT comeback on: April 16, 2023, 05:13:39 AM

the exchange reputation is irreparable. they can make the users happy upon returning those funds to them but that's just it. people will not send any money to the exchange.

it is easier to establish a new exchange than relaunch an exchange that is linked to one of the biggest scam. never in the history that an exchange associated with scam got the trust back from users they've ripped.

You are forgetting that it won’t be run by SBF anymore. So it doesn’t mean that the exchange will perform another scam again. The brand has value and that’s why they want to reboot it.

How much volume did it have? Pretty close to $1B every day or so if I remember correctly and that generates tons and tons of fees revenue.

If they reboot under a different management they might make enough in fees to make everyone whole again.
1435  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What are Meme Coins? on: April 16, 2023, 05:09:41 AM
Back when doge was pumping you could of made good money with meme coins. Especially Shiba. However keep in mind, these are meme coins and all except perhaps doge most will head towards zero since most don’t have utility. You just need to get in while The hype is still there and get out when it runs out of steam.

Don’t hold these long term because they will eventually go to zero. They aren’t a long term investment like ETH or BTC. Too many end up bag holding for this reason.
1436  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is your favorites altcoins these days? on: April 16, 2023, 05:06:20 AM
Mostly had luck with ARB recently. Was a good trade when It launched and then when they FUD started with the arb devs it was an easy short. Would of assumed it would at least touch $1 but it didn’t but was close.

Now it is running again and I can see $2 unless something bearish happens in the markets. So far there is a lot of competition with Defi and L2 and these tokens are always going to out perform most other alt coins.
1437  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Twitter will enable crypto and stock trading via eToro partnership on: April 16, 2023, 05:03:24 AM
Yes I was also confused as this news. I actually assumed it might of been some April fools joke. No idea exactly why he wants to do this.

You can just trade with a simple Twitter account with just a regular email address and password. You need to pass KYC and fund the account. No idea how to make that possible with Twitter. Would of been better to just incorporate stocktwits more and make people trade from their own broker separately. But we will see how it works exactly.
1438  Economy / Speculation / Re: What is your take on the pump coming? on: April 16, 2023, 04:56:34 AM
We are seeing similar activity with the stock markets. Basically we pumped in January and seems with all this news we might go higher. Basically we know we will get one more hike and then most likely a pause. The bank situation created a huge scare but seems to be contained now.

So if we do get the soft landing then crypto and stocks should slowly climb. We don’t want a nasty recession and crash, that won’t be good for markets at all.
1439  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: CEXs vs DEXs & Spot vs Future - Tips and Suggestions (V2) on: April 15, 2023, 04:41:41 AM
Yes I have noticed this. Polygon or Arbitium have lower fees but there is less liquidity on those. The most liquid seems to be stable coins, ETH and WBtC.

Also how do you estimate fees. When I use Uniswap it shows some estimated fee. However when I go to etherscan and use the fee guide it’s usually much higher.
I think it said $7 for Uniswap v3 but on etherscan it said something like $17 for a uniswap v3 transaction. Only way to find out is to do a test but it’s expensive to even do that.
1440  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: what is the support zone ? on: April 15, 2023, 04:36:40 AM
The most common type of support is if say there is a high such as $20K back in 2017. When Bitcoin went to $20K in 2020, the $20K was known as resistance. Then when it broke it and tested it again it was know as support. Very common technical analysis.

Problem is it doesn’t always work like in the $20K example. It failed as resistance and failed later as support. This is why you need more tools to trade such as market sentiment and perhaps some order flows. Can’t do trading on technical analysis alone even on stocks.
