it's not a "trader's coin"
I'm curious. If you have the time, I'd be grateful if you could indicate how you’d characterise the properties of r3d and where they differ from the properties of a “trader’s coin”. Cheers Graham

Ah, yes, and OP, don't listen to anyone on the forum. Every single poster on this and every other thread pushes their own bags. Worst of all are the bitcon bagholders. They are the most toxic shills when it comes to alts.
An irrational response, leading to an over-generalisation so extreme that it is useless to the OP. No, it’s not the case that everyone is pushing a bag but it is important to consider the risk if tempted to follow advice about trading. Motivations are often not obvious. Cheers Graham

You may need to think a bit more about the use of “abandoned” in the title of this thread and whether your brush might be a tad on the large side: --- ANNOUNCEMENT ---Sorry guys Primio as a project didnt work out and i will not continue to develop this. Currently all my crypto investments are going upon EXCL Exclusive Coin and i suggest whole community to also move to this coin or others like BEL or so. Do not fall for current pump n dump scams, only invest in coins made by respected users. If somebody wants to takeover primio - just go for it. EXCL thread for those interested https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=771755.0Thanx for believing in Primio and your time. Cheers Graham

Is there a website that classify coins with special features that BTC hasn't it and compare their with other coins ?
Special features sometimes are neither special nor features ... Some coins are launched by swindlers who make false promises about special features. Some coins are launched by optimists who make impossible promises about special features. Some coins are launched by incompetents who make ill-founded promises about special features. Some coins are abandoned to their fate, some coins are subsequently rescued by the community and the failed special features abandoned or swapped out for others. Some coins are relaunched with a newer, entirely different version and entirely different parameters and special features. It's your money and your call ... the principle is called “Do Your Own Research” (often abbreviated to just DYR), there are a number of web sites presenting altcoin metadata, alt19.com is one, minkiz.co is another. If your browser can stand the heat, try: https://minkiz.co/coin/ * Cheers Graham * self-signed SSL cert, CA cert, DYR: archive.org

There was one coin a while back that was based on anti-Semitism.
I'd be grateful if you could PM me with the name/symbol. I maintain DOACC ( https;//github.com/DOACC) and if the reference passed me by, I want to ensure that it is suitably, ah, “encoded”. I'm committed to a non-censorious stance but to include coins such as FHRITP ( https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=735724.0) requires some sensitivity about presentation. For the OP - it might help if you read one of the “How old is everybody?” threads, where you will discover that an overwhelming majority of respondents appear to be teenagers. In this majority are many who are especially immature, ill-educated, socially inept and boorish - hence the incomprehension of the role and utility of social norms. Whilst the OP's English is excellent, it may not be sensitive to the linguistic nuances which betray immaturity --- in those cases where the poster isn't obviously resorting to the language of the schoolyard. tl;dr - they have an adolescent's view of the world and are unable to rise above it. “To be perfectly honest, we underestimated the reservations against the fuck word. Most of the major exchanges are US based and we thought people were more open in 2014. We had it all, the initial lol moment, people were digging fuckcoin, but no exchange, no matter how hard we tried, was willing to add fuckcoin with the FUCK symbol. We even heard of refunded BTC "exchange votes" from the community. This is why there was no update on the fuckcoin wallet.” Aw, bless. Cheers Graham Edit: added illustrative quote

It seems we were stuck on block 598618 for a long time. My rig is only operating at about 40% but, I finally got it! ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif) Also, so the community is aware, I have been trying to contact the owners of the donationcoin.org domain to no avail. Personally, I don't like the "-" in donation-coin.org but perhaps the donation-coin.org domain should be retained just for historic sake and to avoid having to contact numerous sites to update. Any thoughts? “Having to contact numerous sites to update” offers a valuable opportunity to advertise to site-owners that Donationcoin is alive and kicking. I do aim to resurrect Donationcoin. I have been in contact with Spencer about the premine. It has not changed hands as of now. I would of course inform the community when this happens.
Given that the usual complaint about a premine is that the owner could potentially destabilise the market, I'm wondering whether the best policy for an unspent premine for a coin of this maturity and illiquidity might be simply to burn the lot. I do have immediate plans to get a website back up and reestablish the presence of Donationcoin. I am trying to rally the troops and see who is still in support of Donationcoin. I know it has been deathly silent here and I do apologize for that. Let us change that, and the destiny of Donationcoin, for the better. ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) Who is with me? It's also been deathly silent because no-one else has spoken up, either. Let's not lose sight of the fact that this is a p2p app and no peers == no app. I have a lightweight RPC-based explorer ( Acme *), which is also configured to track Donationcoin, it reports that there are 8 active nodes. In addition to Acme, I also host an instance of Abe (reads the blockfile directly so can't be faked out by hacked RPC code) I'd only just disabled Donationcoin under Abe yesterday, having concluded (prematurely, it would seem) that there was no interest in developing the coin further. I've turned it back on again: https://minkiz.co/abe/chains * Thanks for posting this and for your efforts in revitalising the app. Cheers Graham * self-signed SSL cert, CA cert, DYR: archive.org

Thanks for the pointer. I'll be looking into it... Ah, I'd missed a key posting: http://syscoin.org/the-next-evolution-of-syscoin-decentralization/ the Syscoin team has switched to Bitcoin Core (0.11, I'd imagine) and are rewriting the market, etc. code from scratch (v. sensible move, imo). For a bit more relevance to the ongoing discussion: the Syscoin team's premine has mostly been spent, they have full-time jobs and are developing the coin in their free time. There's a weak inference from the team's membership of the Syscoin Millionaire club: that they each have significant coin holdings but it's just as likely they were grandfathered in. Cheers Graham

I have a question: which supporting codebase have you selected to go to launch with: 0.8, 0.9 or 0.11?
Bump. I'm willing to bet is a clone of Syscoin. Stoner19 PM'ed me a couple days ago to ask what https://github.com/syscoin/syscoin/blob/master/src/message.h meant. So I'm going with 0.8 codebase. We'll never know, because this will not hit 800BTC (the declared minimum to proceed). Thanks for the pointer. I'll be looking into it, not with the intention of cloning, but out of technical curiosity. Which, to be objective, might well have been the focus of your correspondent's interest, too. fwiw: “Syscoin is a crypto currency that is universally merge-mineable and offers a unique variety of services including aliases, data storage, marketplaces and certificate management directly on the blockchain.” Despite the range of services, apparently they are currently focused on the “Syscoin Millionaires Club Hat Design Contest”. Now, that will rattle some cages, I'm sure. Cheers Graham

This was deleted within seconds of posting ... A reply of yours, quoted below, was deleted by the starter of a self-moderated topic. There are no rules of self-moderation, so this deletion cannot be appealed. Do not continue posting in this topic if the topic-starter has requested that you leave. You can create a new topic if you are unsatisfied with this one. If the topic-starter is scamming, post about it in Scam Accusations. I checked also diggits code and it has entirely the same codebase and the same bug. Moreover, by my opinion this bug was embedded into code intentionally, because there is no reason to remove line with calculation nStakeReward for check unintentionally.
Perhaps now the dev will stop deleting my warning posts. But somehow I doubt it. Cheers Graham Cheers Graham
