14301  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: why would someone want to buy a account? on: February 22, 2014, 09:54:22 AM
Accounts with 50+ activity are now even more valuable since Primedice put their rates up to 0.0003 per post. You could soon earn the price you paid for the account back.
14302  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How do you lower transaction fee in Multibit wallet? on: February 22, 2014, 09:51:10 AM
I feel the transaction fee is too high
Can I lower it?

I don't think you can: http://bitcoin.stackexchange.com/questions/13733/how-do-i-set-the-transaction-fee-in-multibit
14303  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Unable to post on: February 22, 2014, 09:48:09 AM
Six minutes between posts for a new member isn't unreasonable, but the timer resets even if you navigate through the forum. For instance, if I find something I want to post on, I have to make sure not to touch that browser window or look at anything else on the forum for six minutes, else the counter will reset. I find that a bit strange.

That's not true. Log-ins, searches and attempted posts reset the clock, browsing or clicking around does not. The time limit also quickly goes down the more activity you get.
14304  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: "The last posting from your IP was less than 360 seconds ago..." on: February 22, 2014, 09:43:51 AM
"The last posting from your IP was less than 360 seconds ago. Please try again later."

Only that's not the case...

Anyone know how to disable this? I can't reply to topics. I can only create new ones so if anyone replies to this I won't be able to reply...

Yes i'd like to reply on topics as well Tongue

As I already mentioned in your meta thread you can already post everywhere. Are you trying to post on a locked topic perhaps?
14305  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: i just now learned about bit coin can anyone tell me further ? on: February 22, 2014, 09:39:38 AM
Hello everyone,

I have learned about bitcoin and created wallet . now please tell me what next now?
how to earn bitcoins ?

thanks and regards

Buy them from an exchange or eBay, or use this site or others to earn them by providing services or selling things. There's a wealth of information on this site so just spend the next couple of days reading up on Bitcoin and how to make money before you dive right in.
14306  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Whitelist Requests (Want out of here?) on: February 22, 2014, 09:36:54 AM
I have a single question - will this be released on mobile devices?
Because if yes...

Nope, not anytime soon, but probably with the new forum that is being designed.
14307  Other / Politics & Society / Re: 22 Messages From Creationists To People Who Believe In Evolution on: February 22, 2014, 09:34:13 AM
But in theory, ID and Evolution could easily coexist.

No, they cannot!

One is knowledge the other is propaganda from a particular christian sect.

Secondly, one could believe that a world was created by an intelligent being, and that creatures evolved since then.
Sure, you can believe the big bang was done by an intelligent being, it's a theory. I don't think it's a good one but we don't exactly know the right answer yet, so in the meantime someone can call it god. There is no reason to believe there is a personal god though and there is enough evidence that we can say the world isn't created in a week and surely not some 1000 years ago.

Also, a day has not always been standardized, assumedly the "7 Days", is not made up of 24 hour days. The way it is written, it likely refers to a period of time only.

Or it's probably just not true and written by plebs. Read the first page of the bible and do you honestly think it's an acceptable explanation for the creation of the entire universe? I think it would be pretty insultive to god's intelligence if there was one.

I can't at the moment not near my computer but in blocking it says 0.0003 but in my wallet it says 0.00003 just wondering what's with the descripency?

I've no idea, but I've seen another user complaining his balance in the wallet didn't match the blockchain. Post the transaction when you can.
14309  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Overview of Signature-Ad Campaigns on: February 22, 2014, 09:25:55 AM
Appreciate the prompt update on your OP!

And for campaign-operators: I'm open for offers for your campaign to take the top spot in the list (hey, it's worth a try Tongue).

Maybe you should take him up on the offer  Wink. Although you're already top spot by default though haha. Maybe the PD offer could be red-texted or something.
14310  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Movie, coming March 2014: The Rise and Rise of Bitcoin on: February 22, 2014, 09:20:55 AM
This could be a good thing and a bad one too.
It all comes down on what it is about and how well it is filmed.

if you think that's good wait till you see the sequel,

'The Silk Road To Magic Mountain, A Bitter Truth'

There's already a couple of Silk Road documentaries in the works and a movie.

Make sure you stock up with btc just prior to opening day because regardless of how bad it looks like btc gets hit it will cause a surge (30%+) in value

Haha, yeah, I could see a lot of people going home and buying coins after the movie. It's probably 2 or 3 years away yet I reckon. They're writing the script at the moment.
14311  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Coingig.com Closing Down! on: February 22, 2014, 09:18:21 AM
Sounds like additional incentive for ebay to start allowing its users to transact in crypto...  RIP Coingig

I'd rather use a different site for various reasons including not using PayPal and not having to pay their and ebay's rapebastard fees.

Quote
One study in mice and rats suggested that cannabinoids may have a protective effect against the development of certain types of tumors.[3] During this 2-year study, groups of mice and rats were given various doses of THC by gavage. A dose-related decrease in the incidence of hepatic adenoma tumors and hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) was observed in the mice. Decreased incidences of benign tumors (polyps and adenomas) in other organs (mammary gland, uterus, pituitary, testis, and pancreas) were also noted in the rats. In another study, delta-9-THC, delta-8-THC, and cannabinol were found to inhibit the growth of Lewis lung adenocarcinoma cells in vitro and in vivo .[4] In addition, other tumors have been shown to be sensitive to cannabinoid-induced growth inhibition.[5-8]

Key word may. As much as I'd like it to be true, that's still not conclusive.

The protest feed just ended they are off to go get licensed

I think I read they did it to stop some guy registering it in a country where this law doesn't apply. But I think they should donate it or make sure it's free to use without being tied to them if anything goes wrong.
14316  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Hmm missing zero on: February 22, 2014, 08:44:15 AM
Link to the transaction?
14317  Other / Off-topic / Re: Shipping question on: February 22, 2014, 08:42:29 AM
free shipping for such a cheap item means it's from China Cheesy

I think they have some sort a free shipment paid by their goverment to support their export I think, but I'm not sure, I'v heard something like that Cheesy

That could probably

That could be true, I'll have to look into it further. I'm sure I worked out how much the postage was once from the label and it was only like £0.40 or something.
14318  Other / Meta / Re: Set a max quote limit, it's annoying to read 20 quotes and hard to edit as well on: February 22, 2014, 08:38:53 AM
A collapsible option would be good. I usually delete the earlier quoted messages if they're not really needed and just leave the last two or three intact.
14319  Other / Meta / Re: Unable to reply on: February 22, 2014, 08:36:44 AM
How can I get my account to the level where I can actually reply on a thread?

You can post everywhere already. Are you trying to post in a locked giveaway thread or something?
14320  Other / Politics & Society / Re: If we're going to make Pot illegal, why not ban alcohol? on: February 22, 2014, 08:33:59 AM
Making a substance illegal only creates a black market for it, which allows a gap for violent cartels to thrive in.

What we really should be doing is educating people that alcohol is ethanol - what we use to fuel cars.  It's near equivalent of huffing gasoline, imo.

We should end the misinfo propaganda on cannabis and inform the public that no one has ever died from cannabis and it cures many diseases, including cancer.

But wait - the government doesn't want us to be healthy, big pharma profits way too much off our suffering and demise, hence big tobacco.  And oh yeah, they don't want us to think with open minds, they'd rather have us numb or brains with pharmaceuticals and alcohol.  Cannabis (and psychedelics) would threat their very existence.

I agree on the education part, but saying it cures cancer is also misinformation. I've not seen any conclusive evidence that it does this.
