1441  Economy / Speculation / Re: What are the chances to reach 1,000$ this year ? on: January 05, 2016, 01:26:46 PM
It's very unlikely. It means bitcoin has to double in volume at least 1 time.
Which has happened but as we all have seen the market sentiment has changed.

The big whales were able to push the price to 500 USD for just minutes before the market reacted.
1442  Economy / Economics / Re: How to save money. on: January 05, 2016, 01:21:51 PM
I've seen good options here, but the one i like the most and actually use is to limit my spending.
Not buying rubbish products is the way to go...

Here is some more.

Switch off television. Most of the time only crap gets broadcasted!
Write a list before you go shopping – and stick to it.
Repair clothing instead of tossing it.
Drink more water instead of soda.Water is cheaper and healthier.
Quit smoking.
Install a programmable thermostat.I have one in each of my rooms.
Quit using credit cards. At least reduce to a minimum amount.
Always do a price comparison – and find a cheaper grocery store.
Try generic brands of items you buy regularly. Can be much cheaper as the original.

Great tips. I've got some more for OP
- Buy what you need
- Save the maximum you can and make sure the money is working for you  (investing or use a savings account)
- Eat/drink what your body needs, not what you minds need
- Cut your spending (f.e. use skype/viber for mobile calls, instead of your mobile subscription)
1443  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why is Bitcoin better that fiat? on: January 05, 2016, 01:09:28 PM
because bitcoin :

1.Free to Transfer and Hold
2.Freedom to Transact
3.Easy to Use
4.Fast Transfers
5.No Chargeback Risk
6.Durable
7.Portable
8.LOW fee

Let me add 1 major point to that which is very important to me.

With bitcoin I have full control over my money. If I want to pay someone like 10K i don't have to call my bank to iniatiate of accept a transfer.
For me that's the best thing to use bitcoin.
1444  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling can be profitable in the long run! It is possible! on: January 05, 2016, 01:04:55 PM
In casino gambling, the "house" has a mathematical advantage over the gambler, the player. Odds are that in the long run, the gambler will lose. To take a risk in the hope of gaining of a profit in gambling can be possible.

It's possible but in no way it's a sustainable concept to earn/profit on the long term.
At best you lose your winnings and end up break-even.

For most gamblers this is a utopia though.
1445  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How do you earn a lot of free bitcoins fast? on: January 05, 2016, 01:00:25 PM
to earn bitcoin fast you have to work hard as no one will give his coins for you for free.
one of the most profitable ways is altcoins trading. although it is so risky but it is possible to double your btc in one trade only and in few hours. but you have first to choose a trustworthy exchange which has great reputation.

correct trade is one of the best ways to get bitcoin quickly, you know a altcoin could rise more than 1500% in a market, you've seen it in yobit? but you must be careful with the trade

so far none has said here about fast and lot...
for me 1000 satoshi is a lot and 1 day is fast...(lol)

how can 1000 satoshi be a lot, when they are only 0.004 cent, not even worth for those that live in those poor country and can sustain their living with $100 per month

He is used to be like that. No growth and no changes. He's offering an investment system. If 1000 satoshi is a lot of him then R.I.P to his scheme. No offense winspiral.

I remember when I used to do faucets, I thought 100k satoshis was a lot. Not 1000 satoshi though. I am getting into signature campaigns and I will be earning a lot more.

Faucets are a great way to learn about bitcoin, not to earn bitcoins.

To earn bitcoin offering your skills in the market section is the way to go. Or become a bank and start lending with a good amount of collateral & interest.
1446  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: GAMBLE OR INVEST? on: January 05, 2016, 12:55:26 PM
Investing your money is lik e110% better.
Since there is a actual and big change you will get more out of your money in profit.

Gambling is a method for entertaining yourself, not so much a method of earning a steady income.
1447  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will BTC reach $600 during the first month of the new year? on: January 05, 2016, 12:51:31 PM
No, I don't think so. I think that it will reach $600 in February. Maybe it will even reach $1000 after halving. I really hope it goes very high so I can make a lot of money.

I think the price will reach the 1000 USD before the halving rather then after it.
However don't expect too much. For this year a 700 USD price would be the best to expect realistically.
1448  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Some question about signature campaign on: January 05, 2016, 12:46:11 PM
unfortunately, there are no signature campaign for newbie Sad

777coin and bitinvest accepts newbie, but 777 managers are quite slow and bitinvest have a red asterik. So it's not recommended to join that one.

@amacar2
Do you know there is a comprehensive list for altcoins signatures like  https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=615953.0

Feel free to tip me if you like this advice: 1HDB2EDPFt5BEwZhERpvmFuXr8qDgSAz8B

I like this one the best:

http://www.bitcoinrates.in/bitcointalk/getactivity.php

He asks for a very small onetime fee (around 50 dollarcents if i remember correctly), but it's well worth it...

I did pay him the needed amount but then my key was never activated even after 40 confirmations.
Therefore i can recommend this one:

1450  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Which Bitcoin Exchange do you use and why ? on: January 01, 2016, 06:43:22 PM
For the EU i advice to use kraken.com
For Asia i would go with BTC38
For the USA go with Bitstamp
For the rest of the world Coinbase

Wow that's a nifty list.
I got some friends in asia and will forward to BTC 38.
I do think that kraken (my favourite exchange) also offers it's service in Asia.
1451  Economy / Exchanges / Re: is Cryptsy about to fold over??? on: January 01, 2016, 06:37:07 PM
This has been going on for sometime now and it is in the media and should be the highlight story of 2015.
It will fold before Spring. I am certain of that. Get your funds out if you still can and if you account is not locked that is.

Well that's easily said then done. I am still waiting for a 27/12 withdrawal.
Made ticket today so let's hope for the best. It's almost 1 BTC so yeah i am a little bit worried if they will honor my withdrawal.

My friend's withdrawal was reviewed and accepted last monday. I know it's a few days back. but they are stilling processing these withdrawals.

Which means you have to be patient right now.

Monday is a long time ago. Maybe cryptsy decided t make a run for it after New Year.
Your comment gives me not a lot of hope honestly. I really do hope they will honor my withdrawal.
1452  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How much bitcoins do you put on an exchange at any one time? on: January 01, 2016, 06:32:44 PM
I try to keep it to 1-1.5 on an exchange.  I am not terribly comfortable with exchanges yet. I prefer to get it to a wallet and vaulted.

That's a good amount actually.
Also i have some guidelines
On bittrex i keep more then on c-cex for example.
The more trust the bigger the amount.

1454  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: I need to create an Bitcoin online shop on: January 01, 2016, 06:27:12 PM
I dont want to use NO 3rd Party

and I dont want to use Wordpress or any of that stuff

Im building that site from scratch

The user comes to my site orders their stuff with a few clicks after hes finished a btc address should appear and he sends the money to after receiving the funds he gets a message payment received and i ship out their stuff

it has to be in php because i want to host it on the TOR Network

The only way is to have a custom CMS platform build by yourself.
Which would take you a lot of time.

The next thing is to configure the deamon to handle the transactions for you. Either build it from scratch (so you know it is good)
or make re-use some open source plugins.
1455  Economy / Speculation / Re: $2k in january on: January 01, 2016, 06:25:03 PM
Even if we make it to 2k, ask yourself, would that be something good?

I beg to differ. It's a wrong signal we give the world about bitcoin.
I am sure they think of bitcoin of monopoly money.

It's time for us to be realistic. These unrealistic figures are not doing any good.
Like you say rightfully a rise to 2000 dollar would harm bitcoin more, then we could profit from it.
1456  Economy / Speculation / Re: What will happen if there's no price rise for the halfing? on: January 01, 2016, 06:21:59 PM
The price increase of the last few days has gotten my hopes up. I do feel we can easily go bak to 300 USD aswell, but for now i anticipate a price increase.
With the current price it's also safe for miners to keep profitting from their mining operation.

So I guess it went all  'good'

1458  Other / Archival / Re: should i save btc for future? on: January 01, 2016, 06:15:47 PM
Most of my bitcoins are sold directly after the price got higher.
It's bad to sell but saving for the future is hard to do when there is profit to be taken...
1459  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How to stay away from gambling? suggestions ? on: January 01, 2016, 06:13:41 PM
The best way would to have some outdoor hobbies.
I normally play a lot of tennis and go to the cinema's. This makes me not interested in gambling a lot.
1460  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What's your story, how did you become interested in Bitcoin? on: January 01, 2016, 06:11:50 PM
Faucets. I've always been intrigued by free money :3

Turns out though, they don't pay out very much xD. All they say is "Free bitcoin", not satoshi.

I then started mining until my laptop died, moved to bitcointalk at about the same time I invested in cloud mining and got into a signature campaign.

LOL i think a lot of people entered the scene with the faucets. Free money is appealing to all of us.
Just playing with some free bitcoin got me interested in bitcoin all the way.
