What is it in 2024. I failed to recognize it.

seems for me like a truck in the basket. roughly 500k worth.
1442  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: September 29, 2019, 07:15:35 PM
In November 2018 we broke down sharply from 6k on Nov 14, it lingered range bound for 5 days around 5500 and on the 5th day it plummeted to the 4ks.

For those seeing thinking the breakdown of 9k is analogous to the 6k breakdown last winter, it should be noted we have lingered for 5 days around 8k since the 9k breakdown and if its a similar pattern we can expect a sharp drop very soon, maybe today.

Holding in this area is critical to avoid further massive damage to price.

Be safe out there.

good find, btw. but the drop was caused by fundamental issues (HashWar).

EDIT: question because I cannot remember. what caused the rally to > $10k from the bottom $3.2k? were there fundamental events for this? not really right?

BAKKT bought 10k coins. I don't know any other good explanation to that pump.

ok, thank you! and now they are selling back slowly to investors. roughly $6k should be the lowest bottom until halving and some time after in my humble opinion. if nothing wild will happen like the HashWar or TulipFund / Faketoshi.

I said it is still work in progress.
I will add this when I have described the more important things I have detailed in the OP.
Adding to the list though.

it looks like it will become a full time job  Grin  take your time Buddy! all with some brain will be patient.

btw, my "thank you" post got deleted by "Moderator: MiningBuddy".  Roll Eyes  unfortunately don't feel happy with Thermos private playground anymore and working on something for real Quants.

Any future prediction is useless, Bitcoin always does what it wants.

100% agree. my impression is that the game changed in Dec 2017 with the introduction of Futures for BTC. since then the market is not the same as it was before since 2011. the Big Boys changed everything. prediction of the price is much more difficult now because a mighty instrument to short BTC is available since Dec 2017.

Thanks for the in depth explanation of the workings of these different systems.

Now would you like to tackle and add the options on futures on cme?

https://www.cmegroup.com/education/courses/options-on-futures-for-equity-traders/why-options-on-futures-gives-added-benefit-of-diversifying-risk.html

Options are a much more complicated issue.
Lot of advanced math on these. Or even without math, if I try to explain “intuitively” lot of stuff to discuss.
I can try, once I have finished this, if I have enough supporter on this issue.
Let me know!

Hull Trading Company (acquired by Goldman Sachs in 1999) was very successful in trading with Options. very interesting topic too.

There is no fix yet  https://trac.torproject.org/projects/tor/ticket/29607

Tor project have plan what should be fixed, idea how to do that and vague idea how exactly to do that. Issue is 7 months old - it will not be ready this year.

Access via Tor is working again. Thank you!

let's wait for our friends at the East Coast (13:00 UTC) and from the Windy City (14:00 UTC) and then we will see if $8k will hold or not today. Cool

if we stay above 8k during the next day this will be good sign. todays attack to push the price significant below 8k was not successful.

Wahrscheinlichkeiten bis Jahresende:
Kurs 6xxx: 75%
Kurs 5xxx: 55%
Kurs 4xxx: 18,4%
Kurs 3xxx: 3%

Shocked

EDIT: his response via PM:

better you try to learn the differences of the OSI layers next time.  Grin
Ty for the well thought comment, troll. Wink
Hey man, it's called "personal message" for a reason. Angry

On a side note, I actually have an exam tomorrow about Cisco's CCNA chapter 09 and the transport layer. So that's funny for you to say. lol Cheesy

ok, then this quick escalation is maybe usefull:

encryption (SSL) and addressing (IP) are using different layers. if a service is reachable via ordinary IP (and not Tor) collection of metadata is possible even if the data exchange is encrypted itself.

https://www.geeksforgeeks.org/tcp-ip-model/

EDIT: but could be CM is too lazy to update their Tor implementation because there was a DDOS fix not long time ago. but if I want to mix my coins I will ever connect via Tor to this service.
