1441  Economy / Economics / Re: For average Joe advice about money finances and Investment on: June 04, 2023, 10:54:51 PM
If you don't want to learn too much about finances and money then simple BUY/SELL rule Will keep you on track.
If you do not want to learn about investment, you do not need to invest your money on what you do not know for you not to make a big mistake. A big mistake because investment deals with money.

If you want to invest in anything, you need to learn about the thing and know the proper time to invest. It is not just about interest rate hike alone.
Investing is not just a passion or interest, but beyond that there should be an adequate knowledge and honed skills and strategies. Because if you only do investing out of interest, most likely you will end up wasting your money and efforts. But if you have the target goal on it, you know exactly that knowledge is more powerful to make it successful and profitable.
Investing into something you know nothing about has no difference with gambling. You should be having your own strategy before you enter an investment and that includes managing the risk. Ofcourse everyone wants to earn more than their usual, thru investment. Unfortunately, things does not work that way, easily. Also, there's this thing called alternatives. Not because someone invested into something and earn profit from it, same thibg would come to you in an instant. Investment has different forms and you have to find where would you be more convenient on your end. To some it would be better to just save their money, and that is just fine. Figure out what would be better on your end. But if you choose investment, then prepare to lose some dimes.
1442  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Don't Force Your Children to Learn Bitcoin on: June 04, 2023, 10:28:48 PM
I think that play is a very big lesson to everyone in the contemporary world. So if your children are not interested to learn bitcoin please don't force them. Everyone has their own destiny.
I always support whatever my children dream for their future, I never force them to follow my dream. I'm very aware that we have no right to determine their future, it is their own right. But I have the responsibility to let them know about Bitcoin, who knows if they are interested in Bitcoin. Because Bitcoin is something good, I think it deserves to know by everyone, including our children. Whether they are interested or not, it is up to them. At the end of the day, our children will determine their future themselves. We, as parents, only give guidance to the things that we think are good and they are likely to be interested in. So, telling/sharing them about Bitcoin doesn't always mean forcing them. It depends on the way we do it!!

As a parent you are required to give them guidance. It is okay to share some ideas which may catch their interest and it is for them to decide whether to pursue something particular or go the other way around. Misconception starts from the age of a child. Some would say starting it on early age would be aan advantage but actually it is not. Early childhood age limits a kid, basically. We cannot expect an 8 yr/old to be excited with esrning money if they are hooked into playing (well, some kid does). Let things undergo thru natural progress. Also, if it is jist investment, it would be better to give them less risky option than to push this industry just because of that thing called potential (every asset has potential).
1443  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: He Committed Suicide After Losing School fees, And That Of Friend To Betting.. on: June 03, 2023, 08:45:05 PM
Not the age but to all of the gamblers in this industry. We are all prone to depression in the first place so what more if we are the ones creating problems resulting to such situation? If you're here in this industry for years, for sure you'd be tired of hearing "bet an amount you can afford losing". It is really making more sense due to such unfortunate and sad instances and for sure there are more alike stories from players. Ofcourse no one would really be okay from losing but atleast manage the expectation and risk. If you'd end up in deep situation if ever you'll lose to tbat certain game, then keep away from it. We should all expect more of losing than winning in order to make ourselves ready.
1444  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Has Bitcoin Lost it's Fervor for Percentage Gains? on: June 02, 2023, 11:49:09 PM
People seem to have become millionaires in previous bull cycles with modest investments in BTC & ETH.  If I invested in 1 BTC, is it enough to make me a millionaire by the next bull run, or are there an elite number of alt coins that could help me safely achieve what BTC & ETH once did?
Well, no one is certain whether thr msrket price of Bitcoin would be over a million. If it is general tendency, then ofcourse there's a chance; problem is no one is certain. However if it is bullrun we are talking about, you may expect huge price increase and therefore, huge profit. Bitcoin is one of the leading cyrpto in every uptrend and rest assured that profit will be earned if conditions would be met. Altcoins will give you bigger profit given that these coins are having lower market price on an average day  therefore it will have higher rate of increaase. The tisk on this one is choosing the right altcoin. Most of the coins are expected to have a price increase during a bullrun but ofcourse you would eye for which would generate bigger returns  and that would be hard to determine in an instant.
1445  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: $90,000 all in bet on: June 02, 2023, 07:28:39 PM
If you are that confident and if you can afford losing that money, then who are we to prohibit you. That's your money in the first place and you have full rights and responsibility into it. Whether you bag that amount or not, it's definitely on you. Jist be prepared for the worse if incase things won't go in favor with your expectation. Keep in mind that this is gambling industry we are at and as a gambler you should know well how risks are present in every bet. We all have differrnt tolerance in the first place with regards to both losses and gains. No matter what would be the outcome I hope you'd be fine with it and that you enjoy your gambling experience.
1446  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Should I Keep Buying Bitcoin Alone if I Have Limited Resources? on: June 02, 2023, 04:55:45 PM
If you have limited resources and you are that eager to invest, chase after less risk than profit. Choosing altcoins would put your funds at a bigger risk than with Bitcoin or other assets. Every asset has volatile market prices but atleast you would be able to compare which would have a more volatile one. I won't agree with others who pushes bigger risk and reward if you have limitations with your funds in the first place. Why? 'coz that would be a gamble. The bigger yout capital is, the more you would be able to endure market price changes ofcourse. Manage the risk all the time. There's no easy profit in any industry so better be more careful with a more volatile one.
1447  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC Sentiment Poll for June on: June 02, 2023, 03:58:45 PM
Many people are waiting for its market price to fall for them to enter with a huge price discount. If it is general possibility then there is as evident with the CME Gap. But as we all know, once buyers created a pressure, then we are more likely to see a continuous price increase. The market is now showing higher volatility than last month seeing altcoin prices with 40% increase while the price of Bitcoin plays aaround $27 - 28k. I'd say there's a higher tendency for the price to fall and fill the mentioned gap above mentioned. There's no concrete reason for an uptrend right now to trigger an uprise movement so it would more likely go the other way around.
1448  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The effect of Bitcoin on children on: June 02, 2023, 03:22:35 PM
In this case of the boy, I remembered one thing that the children will be developed in the same way as the parents raise their children from childhood. The boy's father may want to expose his son to Bitcoin from an early age.

Most children's personalities are shaped by their parents; the habits that parents instill in them are what they will grow up with. For this reason, parents have important roles to play in raising their children; we should therefore avoid always acting negatively in their faces because they will quickly pick it up and adapt to it.His father may not even have intention to expose the boy Bitcoin, instead, he may be simply watching what his father is doing. Alternatively, it's possible that the boy's parents simply have the Bitcoin logo displayed in their rooms or that the boy has simply noticed the Bitcoin logo in one of these parents' phone over and over again.

Parents play an important role in shaping their children's character and habits, but their habits and personality will change over time. They will keep only what they like and suit them, and they will also get rid of what they don't like. When they are young, their minds are not fully developed, so they like to imitate everything, but when they grow up, their minds are fully developed, and things will be very different. I also have kids and that's what I'm going through. So teaching them about bitcoin early won't guarantee anything either.

You won't be with your child all of the time therefore interaction with other people and different environments won't be limited. Indeed it would require a child's initiative to do something but why should a child learn about investment at an early age? Well that is really a good trait but in such way, what's 'natural' won't be meant. According to many developmental theories, a child's growth could be affected by many factors and each of those would play a key role as the child grows. Teaching something that won't be necessary at a certain age range will just delay the child's natural process of growing up. Instead, it would be more effective to wait for that 'right' age. Right age refers to a point in one's life wherein an individual can make his/her own decisions with rationality.
1449  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Garcia Vs Lara AUG 05 2023 SATURDAY WBA WORLD MIDDLEWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP on: June 02, 2023, 02:48:54 PM
What makes this fight good to watch is they are just about even their record even their last 5 fights are also even and they have the same style,

Lara has beaten 4 of his last 5 opponents, Garcia has beaten 3 of his last 5 opponents, and the knockout ratio is almost the same, I have Garcia here winning by close decision his age will carry him in the latter rounds and he proved himself to be a good finisher he had lasted and gave Spence a good fight and this experience will carry him.

Same here, Garcia is the younger fighter of the two so that makes him a slight favorite i think but for the bookies, that remains to be seen.

Gonna be interesting as who is going to be the favorite in this fight, so far I have checked one of my favorite sports bookies and non is still listed on this fight.

TBH, i have not seen Lara fight live and don't know his style much but seeing the tale of tapes, no doubt for me that he will be the underdog, 40 years old is old enough in boxing unless your name is Manny Pacquaio.

Watch Lara vs Canelo fight,

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5CnKOqJ-AO8

Good thing that Garcia is still fighting and this time he is fighting for a championship belt which seldom happens to a fighter, i guess that's what makes of a good promoter in Al Haymon.

Yes, just like any other promotional company though, their champion is being given a chance again to fight for the belt. This time, Danny "Swift" Garcia will become a champion again if he beats the old Lara as you have said, youth is on the side of Garcia here and he has the power. We just don't like when Lara started on his bicycle in this fight and started to run.

Both have good stats but Garcia is better. When a boxer is defeated by a more popular one like Canelo, they are almost forgotten if they don't make an impressive KO in their next fight.

Though I may not bet, it would be Garcia that I would go for if I would. its Garcia that has a high chance of winning and he is younger as well.

I think OP should just add the first name of the fighter on the thread title. I actually thought its Ryan Garcia again.

I think as others have said, Danny is still in his prime, although I would say that his best weight is 147 lbs, but even the best of them will need to go up in weight to chase more belt and cemented their legacy.

Lara style might complicate things for Danny Garcia, but I do hope that he will train on Lara's style of just running or not make the might toe to toe. It could frustrate Danny though and perhaps this is why although Garcia might be the favorite, he should be focus throughout the fight and maybe look to end it as early as he can, or if the knockout presents itself to him in this fight.
Against Lara, age would really be a factor in paarticular with his fighting style. We do know it; they have trainings and such but our body has limitations as we grow older. On the other hand, Danny has the advantage with experience especially fighting opponents' with the ssme boxing style as Lara. Danny also has more powerful punch over the other which could be another edge for him. But we are talking about pros and championship so we may expect Lara to prepare with such factor in order for him to bag the belt. Would be a good fight but won't be as excited with other title matches. We've seen fights of such and I guess fight would yield to a decision rather than a KO.
1450  Economy / Economics / Re: Money is never enough! on: June 01, 2023, 11:49:27 PM
Depends on what amount and what you are as an individual. People with big pockets are ending up broke simply because of their decisions and how they make use of their money in the first place. You could have huge amount of money but if you won't be able to use it to something which would generate more, then what's to expect?
Have you ever fetched water and keep in drum before?
Yes, this is a good example of money, whenever you are being employed and you starts working you didn't make a savings that is what would happen to you. As a man no matter how big is your drum ones you keep using it without replacement and or even refilling the drum you ends of being a loser because your drum would be empty.
Money is meant for planting and not for wasting into what you know that may not yield results to you.
The goal is to find more outlets or sources to continue filling that 'drum'. Indeed if you are jist opening up the hole or jist make use of your savings without any return it will jist be empty in the long run. Ofcourse in every action there'll be risk but atleast it should be manageable.

The cited story is somehow a reflection of how most of us are spending our own funds. No matter how huge our funds are, if it would be overwhelmed by our expenses then nothing would be left.
1451  Economy / Speculation / Re: Opportunity to buy on: June 01, 2023, 11:18:08 PM
Indeed the price at this moment is low but charts would show bearish pattern which means the price could still fall lower. I'd say wait for a better 'discount' before engaging into it in order to maximize your fund and earn bigger profit. Waiting for the right time to enter would also help you avoid suffering from losses 'coz we all know market prices are volatile in nature. Familiar with CME gap? There's one around $20k and price could fill this before the actual uptrend. There's no certainty by the way 'coz prices move dependent with demand and if buyers will support an uprise trend even if there are gaps below, then price would still go up. So for now be patient.
1452  Economy / Gambling / Re: Question about casino, sports bet on: June 01, 2023, 10:57:26 PM
Hi, i would like to know if there is any android application for casino sites, sports bets where you can bet with crypto thanks
Others have already suggested reputable gambling platforms and there's more to choose from. But if you are looking for an application and not platform, I suggest not to do so. Gambling sites would be a better option to avoid tampering of results. In applications, you won't be sure whether games are being played on live telecast or not. Indeed in sportsbetting you will all have the same resuly or match winner but with other gambling games, better engage with the best ones out here and those are web 3 casinos. In websites, you would more likely avoid bots of other players which runs more with applications, if I'm not mistaken.
1453  Economy / Gambling / Re: Why do you still want to play fake web2 casinos? Why we choose web3 casinos on: June 01, 2023, 10:29:59 PM
Web3 is new so most people believe that AI will play an important role in Web3. This is due to the heavy involvement of machine to machine communication and decision making that will be required to run many Web3 applications. web3 is nothing more than a rebranding effort for crypto, aiming to shake off some of the industry's cultural and political baggage and convince people that blockchains are the natural next step in computing. But web2 games are much easier to play. Even if there is a chance of losing, gamblers can recover very easily.
I don't understand what you mean by AI playing an important role in Web3 when AI is actually not a very big part of it since web3 is mostly about blockchain, cryptocurrencies, and decentralization, while AI is more on the machine learning side and these two are not closely related, though I know that these two can be used together but Web3 can also stand alone.

I also don't think that there is any advantage for players on a web2 casino compared to a web3 one, both have games with a house edge and the house will still have the same amount of chances of winning against a player even in a web2 casino.
Well I am seeing statements lately of how gamblers are associating the use of AI technology in gambling duch as detecting bots or using it as an advantage in this industry. Web 3 simply opens a decentralized platform for players wherein they'd be the ones to benefit from their winnings alone, likewise with streamers on their contents. The only advantage by web 2 I guess is being centralized in a way that it promotes better security towards gambling platforms. But as OP have mentioned, fake web 2 casinos? no matter what web it is, then that won't be advisable.

Either web 2 or 3, as long as it fills your need as a gambler and as long as your funds would be safe from conflicts, then it would be good to go regardless of the web you are using.
1454  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Would you use a VPN on a casino, even if it is not allowed in their ToS? on: June 01, 2023, 09:56:51 PM
A conflict would arise so I won't be planning to do so. Tos seems to be a noisy topic recently and that probably players being worried that they might lose their funds if they won't follow each and every statement in ToS. But going bavk with VPN, even if it is not included to the platform's rules, I'd still avoid using such tweak simply because I don't want to add more risk to my gambling activity. There are times VPNs are unstable and since there are gambling sites in my country which is accessible, why would I even go for a higher risk? Even if there's an exclusive bonus or promotion, I think it won't be worth the risk especially if you aren't that knowledgeable of how VPN works.
1455  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to draw the attention of the market if you're a good project?? on: May 31, 2023, 11:50:52 PM
Start a signature campaign in this forum where many investors of this industry are reading and interacting. Promoting a project outside this industry or platform is indeed good as well but knowing your target audience would answer whether which will give you higher number of investors. Creating a campaign for a project eould be a good idea to promote because it would be introduced in the right manner. Just observe nee projects being posted in different sections of this forum, which are not well introduced; it creates suspiscions of fraud and scam.
Th main problem we always have is trust.
Some projects teams will last for more that two years trying win the heart and trust of the general public and once they succeeded some wlll end up scamming the investor that is why peke are always skeptical about new project.
We cannot do something about this other than securing profit and not to be too confident that a project would last for a lifetime. Always anticipate a worse case scenario in order to properly manage the risk.
1456  Economy / Speculation / Re: What are your bitcoin May/June price analysis? on: May 31, 2023, 11:30:22 PM
I'll go with what the majority has said here, it could be sideways for some time. I think we have exhausted everyone from January-April this month as we have reach $30k+ although it was not that sustainable.

And after that, a new pattern emerge, no more increase in price and so most likely this will be our pattern for now, unless there is a break out run for the month of June. Although I will be on the fence about it, as historically, June is very slow for all of us. The price action might pick up later, in the last three months of the year, in my opinion.
Once the gap around $20k is filled, we would be more likely seeing a bullish pattern. It is currently a threat to people who plans to enter the market already. But to some, they are having expectation of a reversal trend this coming month because the market price have already reached $25k which could be its lowest if not anything would happen. As we all know, it would be impossible to accurately determine what price movement would it be. The only thing we could do is to wait for right trend patterns. My personal take on the possible price movement would still be sideways given that there are anticipated highs and lows on its price.
1457  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Dad's retirement money is invested in Bitcoin! on: May 31, 2023, 11:10:35 PM
I couldn't really do this to my dad. I mean its something he worked all his life and if there were anything bad ever happening he would lose it all and all of his life work would be going to waste. Obviously his life spent on earning enough to live and take care of us, so that won't go away, but all that he saved aside would have gone away. Not that he has anything anymore, he is a retired dude in Turkey, they don't make much, its minimum wage and then some, just a bit, so my mom and dad make 2 minimum wage salaries in return of working for over 40 years, 80 years combined, hence they are quite poor obviously. But they do have their own home, and they are 60+ years old, so they don't really need much anyway.
If he chooses to do so then that would be fine. Personally, I won't be making use of my parents' pension as long as they are alive and for me, it is for them to enjoy and to buy the things they want. We all have short lives and the money they have worked on should be enjoyed by them before that 'time' come. Also with the reason that their children has jobs to suffice themselves. Engaging with investments would be a good idea ofcourse but if it would be too risky for their money, then I won't be suggesting it. I'd rather invest my own 'coz it is me who can manage the risk more and to have other set of plans in a worse case tendency.
1458  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 5 Behavioural signs that suggest you are Addicted to Gambling on: May 31, 2023, 10:34:05 PM
I was browsing on the internet and stumble upon this article and found out that there are three kinds of gamblers. They are Professional gamblres, social gamblers and problem gamblers. The first two are okay but the third one which is the problem gamblers are the ones who are struggling with this addiction.

So I asked myself what behaviour would suggest that an individual is a problem gambler. Did some research and found many behaviour that suggest an individual is struggling with gambling addiction. Out of those I found the following five behaviours to be most common ones in a problem gambler.

  • Preoccupation with gambling.
  • The urge to increase wagers to achieve the same level of excitement.
  • Having difficulty in controlling, cutting back, or stopping gambling despite several attempts.
  • Lying about gambling activities.
  • Borrowing money to gamble.

As gambling addiction can be a challenging issue that can have a very harmful impact on an individual's life. it is always recommended to find a professional helpb rather struggling with it. Do you agree with those behaviours? If not then you can suggest some, that can be added to this topic.
There's more for sure which is also the reason why gambling addiction is dangerous; you won't instantly know or realize that you are too dragged into it. There are even instance wherein rational thinking of addicted players, were also affected. Some are selling their properties just to continue with hopes of getting back with what they have lost problem is, things won't work that way. Pushing it thtough would just yield to bigger losses especially if you are just unlucky for that day. Moderation is the key to limit and avoid ending up with such situation. Problem with gambling addiction is being surprised that you are already addicted into it while at the ssme time you have lost that much. There'll be no easy reminder, you'll just be shocked of how fast it happened so be careful.
1459  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling is not a steady income haven on: May 31, 2023, 09:40:19 PM
It won't be called "gambling" if it generates assured profit. There's even a higher tendency in each day to lose than end up winning. Indeed, there are people who managed to make fortune from this activity and became rich because of hitting the jackpot but think of how huge the difference in terms of numbers, from those who end up broke because of gambling which sinply proves that risk of losing money is dominant. Gambling is profitable but never be dependent into it especially for a daily living. It would be much better to just gamble for entertainment and not with hopes of becoming rich easily. Not because it worked well for others it would already be the same for us.
