741  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Have you ever been a gambling addict? on: November 01, 2023, 07:01:04 PM
Not medically diagnosed but I believe I has the symptoms; always had the urge to gamble, not being able to function with my daily routines ‘coz I was thinking of getting back with my losses or either earn more after a win. I wasn’t tracking my losses and wins which surprises me weekly. Fortunately I managed to limit myself theu the help of my friends who encouraged me to engage with other things such as sports. I gradually lessen the time and amount of money I was spending on my bets and so far I am doing better than my past as a casual gambler. For sure many of the gamblers would also understand tbe feelin of being in such unwanted state/stage.
742  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Greed or risk on: November 01, 2023, 06:35:55 PM
That was pure luck, and for me he just take the risk and that risk was worth it. If he has to take another risk I can call that a greedy move. If I was the one won that amount I will surely cash it out because that is enough for me and my family to survive.

That's right, there's no reason for you to keep chasing the win by increasing your playing time and increasing your budget because there's absolutely no guarantee of winning. It's really just about luck and whether or not you get lucky in your sessions, the fact is that one can never know when they're going to get lucky and walk away with a win, if it was predictable then there wouldn't be gamblers who suffer so many losses.

Taking a risk that you can be responsible for a bad result is better than putting a large amount out of greed and assuming that the winnings will be greater, the question is what if you lose? Yes you will be silent and maybe cry. So there is no reason whatsoever for you to chase victory and be greedy, everything goes randomly based on individual luck, there are no guarantees and certainties. You should pay attention to this statement it seems.
Will always depend on your next move.
It is not greedy to best a huge amount ‘coz for sure you know to yourself the consequences of doing so. Greed is indeed when you already won but is seeking for more or that you will do it again hoping to get the same result. Point is to play it safely as much as possible. Everyone’s free to take the risk of betting huge but always make sure that it’ll be an amount inside your betting and losing tolerance. There are just people who o ly embraces the risk but never the consequences. Either you win or lose, what would matter the most is how well would you be in any outcome?
743  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is this how it start? (No or yes?) on: October 31, 2023, 06:19:29 PM
To answer the question with regards ri addiction then it is obviously not. Having feelings of regret after losing is a common experience to gamblers. Best way to start is to simply set the right mindset; losing should be always expected in order to avoid being exaggerated once you’ve lost an amount you have invested. Just keep in mind how gambling works in any platform or industry; agents who tends to invite are just for the new ones.if it is just clicks and light indicatirs then things might still come to taking her first major examinatuon.
744  Economy / Services / Re: [CFNP][banned mixer] Mixer Review#2| 6mBTC+50% OFF | Bonus 10mBTC & 10% OFF for ALL! on: October 31, 2023, 02:17:13 AM
[banned mixer] Mixer Review Program #2
Bitcointalk username: Yatsan

User Interface review:

Upon visiting the website, it's immediately noticeable that the interface is clean and crisp. The loading time is exceptional compared to other mixers. The animations are smooth, and it’s noteworthy that they synchronize perfectly with the scroll speed without any glitches. These things are a plus for the website’s overall speed and smoothness.

I also noticed some issues. The first is with the "What is Tumbler?" video, and it’s currently not working. My suggestion would be to temporarily remove it to maintain the site’s professionalism and aesthetic appeal until the video content is ready for display.

There’s also inconsistency in the size of the social media logos presented (Bitcointalk and Twitter). Their current appearance is somewhat disorganized. My suggestion is to align those logos with the Tumblr theme first and fix the sizing before adding them to the website.

In terms of branding, the website presents itself well. However, from an artistic standpoint, it seems to lack a unique branding identity. Despite its good looks, the website appears somewhat generic when compared with other mixers that do have a strong branding identity.

In conclusion, the website does a good job in various aspects, particularly in functionality and basic design elements, but could benefit from improvements in video content display, logo uniformity, and a unique branding approach to elevate its overall charisma and user interface.

User Experience for the Second Mix: Everything is still smooth on my second mix and all goes according to plan, no red flags and the service does its thing. However, after my mixing experience, I tried my best to trace and track my sending address on-chain but had no luck connecting it.

Overall Evaluation and Recommendations

Letter of Guarantor:
I strongly recommend making this a mandatory requirement rather than an optional one. I don’t see any downside to doing this. Doing so would reduce the hassle to users who forgot to download it.

Mixing time:
All timestamps are respected, with minor adjustments made based on blockchain confirmations. This performance is very good, especially when compared to other mixers.

Mixing fee:
Expensive compared to competitors. At its current price, I will not use it, even though it’s a good mixer. There are many other mixers that provide the same level of security for half the price. My suggestion is to lower the price to make it more competitive

Discount code:
What’s stopping me from sharing the discount code here on the forum or any other social media website? If I share it and other users use it, will my address or my identity be linked to it? Does this mean you guys are storing my data? My suggestion is to simply disable the discount code altogether and lower the mixing fee entirely.

Final Thoughts:
For my overall user experience on mixing with Tumblr, it’s 5/5 no doubt with that. the platform excels with its user-friendly interface and robust functionality. However, the pricing is a deal breaker for me, for the amount that I spent on my first and second mix I would rather proceed with a competitor. I recommend reviewing and adjusting the pricing strategy to become more market-competitive. Best wishes for the continued and future success of your platform!
745  Economy / Economics / Re: What does being rich mean in your perspective? on: October 30, 2023, 09:04:24 PM
Simple question but comes with different definitions. On my end, being rich is having no worries of anything concerning money; buying new things, studying to an exclusive school or university, spending without checking the item’s price. These are the general definitions to many people concerning being rich. But in some instances all of these won’t be met; a person may still be called as rich if he still checks the price of what she/he is buying butis able to buy oneself a new gadget for example.
Most of the people have the same comment about what is rich but I want to know what do you mean by rich. In the society in which I live, by rich people we mean those who are very rich economically. In our society, people are segregated on economic grounds. Economic status of people will be considered by money be it in my society or your society. The more money you have, the stronger you are financially. Just as a person without money cannot think of himself as very rich, so a rich person cannot live like a person without money even if he wants to. According to my society rules your position will be determined based on how much bank balance you have, or how much business you have, or what source of income you have.
It is easy to save and anyone can do that. On my end, I percieve a person rich based on the amount which is constantly enetering his bank and not the amount of savings alone. Reason? A person with large savings will have the same thing on a daily basis ‘coz he/she is not using the funds.
746  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Invest in bitcoin and forget the investment on: October 30, 2023, 08:35:27 PM
Easy to say but difficult to actualize. I do get where this idea is coming from; previous investors who forgot about it and are now happy with how high its market value became. But since its price is already high, and since we don’t have an assurance that its price will further increase in the future, not to mention possible circumstances which might push an investor to pull his investments out, then it is just hard to think of. Previous investors made this possible only because it was amnot as promising as it is now. We just cannot disregard something with a large value. Remember instances wherein a guy paid using an amount of Bitcoin to buy a pizza? That’s how different situations are, now.
747  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My little research. on: October 30, 2023, 08:13:48 PM
Then that’s great if you made a research about something you know nothing that much of and this should be done to other investments as well no only in this technology. However, investing won’t be as easy as 1,2,3.. There will be phases you would encounter such as losing in some instances perhaps selling it with a lower market price than the entry price. Problem with implementing this as a mode of payment to any business is overall sustainability. Most of the businesses are having overall sustainability and efficiency. There are fees which needs to be considered. Also with not being able to pull those payments out especially with a lower market value vehicle. Many business owners in my area have tried doing so; they ended up just being considerate. It would be much better if you will just segregate an amount to reinvest and on a daily basis than to go all out and reflectwhere things started already.
748  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you think a new memecoin $MEMEFARMS will skyrocket in 2023? on: October 30, 2023, 07:43:41 PM
No one has the assurance not only in meme coins but to all cryptos boyh existing and new ones. It’ll be dependent with the demand to be generated by investors. Indeed there’s still a hupe for meme tokens due to previous releases but not all tokens are having the same fate as with those which are popular in this industry. Every investment has its own risk however, with meme tokens which are most of the time having no utility, then it’ll solely be determined by the impression it will create in this industry before its public sale and exchanger listing. Honestly I’m not familiar with mentioned token and also, i had no recod of holding such concept of crypto.
749  Economy / Economics / Re: choose an option on: October 30, 2023, 07:14:19 PM
which would you prefer to receive?
a. $480,000 lottery win as payments spread over 96months(8 years) of $5k a month
b. $480,000 lottery win as payment lumpsum $480k
c. $480,000 of bitcoin at(~$24k/btc buy price recent months allocated to the donator) 20btc
d. $480,000 value house
e. $480,000 value business
f. $480,000 of gold at(~$1.8k/ounce buy price recent months allocated to the donator) 266ounce

pick one and explain your rationale..
if you pick bitcoin as first choice. also pick another and explain rationale of second choice
(im mainly looking to see people opinions/rationale on choices that are made about not option C and compared to C)
Will be picking either C or D or F;all has/ if not assured, high chance to generate profit which would make the total prize bigger. One would be generating assured profit and that is with the house given that its value is increasing over years as a property. With Bitcoin as an investment in the choices, it could generate profit in a shorter period of time given that its market value at the present is already higher than the assumed entry price. I so like to consider E as well but a $480k worth or value of a business does not guarantee a profit ‘coz it would still depend on whoever will handle it. And with gold, there’s really no need to elaborate with this one as we all know that its price increases over years as well. It will all boil down to your preference as the one who would claim the price.
750  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Maybe I should have taken this risk earlier. on: October 30, 2023, 06:47:32 PM
Till now my parents are bearing the cost of my education, I have recently completed my college education and my parents wish me to complete my graduation by studying in a private university. We have a small cow farm and we have some cows in this farm out of which some months ago my father sold one cow and deposited about one and a half thousand dollars (I said the value in dollars for everyone's understanding) in the bank for my education. It will take about four to five months to get admission in the university. I didn't plan to do anything with the money I saved for my education but recently the price of bitcoin has increased by about 10 thousand dollars and seeing this increase I think that I should invest in bitcoin now instead of leaving the money in the bank for these four to five months. Although I think it's a bit late for me to invest. Maybe I should have invested when Bitcoin was 26 thousand dollars then maybe I could have made a good profit at this point but there is no point in regretting what I didn't do Of course I will think about the present now. I think the price of bitcoin can cross 40 thousand dollars so investing in bitcoin now will not be a wrong decision for me at all.

You don’t have to blame yourself for not investing in bitcoin early, and as we can see, education is also an investment, so I will still recommend you just focus on your education. You might not get the reward now, but I am sure in the near future, you will get the reward.

You said you would need the amount in your account in the next 4 to 5 months, then it’s better you don’t invest it in bitcoin, just leave it in your bank account, and when the time comes that you are supposed to pay for your school fees, just pay. Bitcoin investment is supposed to be for a long time. If you invest in bitcoin and expect a profit within a short period of time, then you are wrong. In the next 4 to 5 months, when you will need the money, bitcoin can be below the amount that you bought it, you will have to sell it at a loss, and you will still have to struggle to get the money that you will use to complete your school fees, which can affect your education, so just forget about bitcoin investment for now.
Let’s say the market price dropped to $26k once again, would he now invest? There’s a tendency that he won’t and will probably assume that the market price could go lower, then what if it suddenly increased? No one knows what will happen next. There’s no right entry price ‘coz no one kmows how will the market behave on the next few hours. Invest if you are prepared with negative consequences whether its price increase or the other way around. Regrets will always be there but what would matter the most is how will you act upon those regrets? Simply learn from your mistake and invest once you’re ready. Have the right mondset and risk management plan to lessen your worries and be able to actually invest in it. Know your priorities as well.
751  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Between Profit And Conscience on: October 30, 2023, 06:10:42 PM
If he chooses not to, that’s his principle and there’s nothing wrong with it however, if money matters on his end then he should consider the offer given that it is bettors’ initiative to bet in the first place and not with whether he encourage them or not. He also has the option to find other businesses who would like to lease on his property given that it was considered as a good place for the lottery agent. But if things will got out of hand then, he should determine which would he follow; own principle or his wallet. Definitely the decision is on his hands and it will only be hin who would choose whether to let the agent lease under his property or not. We cannot invalidate his preference if he ever choose declining the offer.
752  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What according to you should be the age to retire from gambling ? on: October 30, 2023, 05:47:50 PM
Many believe that gambling is for young people online as they need thrill and and fun. But I think that even old people can enjoy gambling. There should be any age to retire from gambling at all. One can do this activity and leisure time and thus it does not affect retirement related activities also.
No age in particular. Best time to retire is when you are being eaten by gambling itself; not being able to function on a daily basis because of your urge to gamble, often financially struggling due to losses and if it causes you bigtime stress. With this, you should retire following no number concerning your existence in this world. The best time is when you know to yourself that you are creating a huge problem from this activity.
Well for me there is no specific or age limit to gambling, it comes from you that even the elderly enjoy gambling because it seems to be the only way to get rid of their boredom. Yes, there is still another way to get rid of boredom, but if you are a gambler and you can still gamble even when you are old, you will still do it.

I see from my grandfathers and uncles that they always gambled even when they were in their 60-70s. They are the ones who are playing and they are fighting each other, I can see that they are enjoying it a lot, it's like they're bonding, it's like they're just kids, it's fun to watch.
Elders just have more time than us to gamble which makes them an example often whenever it is regarding gambling retirement age. Indeed there are many people who still gambles at age 50 and up but same thing goes with below 30 years of age.
753  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can loneliness make one addicted to gambling on: October 30, 2023, 05:18:43 PM
We have different ways to cope up with emotions in particular with sadness;some would just kill time, eat, be expressive and more. However, there are people who also tend to do things just to divert their attention and gambling is one of the possibilities. Actually there’s nothing wrong with it as long as you know to yourself that your finances could handle the circumstances well. So if you are problematic in such aspect it would be better to find something which would consume your time other than gambling. I’ve read a study before which tackled the relationship between these two variables as well, however in that study there are no direct relationship between these two. If we would view it on a more practical point of view, it will just make the person in a worst situation especially if he would lose his bets.
754  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Online Casino Promotions Poll on: October 30, 2023, 04:43:25 PM
Welcome bonuses, invitation rewards, free spins, and such would be surely preferred by many gamblers to a gambling site which would want to introduce itself in this industry. But the thing which would make me stay upon checking it would be how the team behind will address issues if ever there are, given that it will just make a fresh start. For me it would matter ‘coz that would for sure reflect to how they would handle future concerns which is definitely a good sign for the platform’s long term vision. This should be a standard to all of the gambling sites not only with the new ones, if I would be asked.
755  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is it possible to build a career with bitcoin? on: October 29, 2023, 08:00:37 PM
Only if you’d manage things right; there are many outlets wherein a bitcoin investor could get profit from. Some people are indeed making a living out of this industry but most people are not. Profit is never assured and losses will always be a part of your investment journey. As I’ve said, there are people who made fortune from investing into this technology and most of them have the financial privilege to do so. So if you’re one of those who hassmall capital, then things should be all planned and never be too confident of things especially with regards to profit.
756  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: My $50,000 betting goal by 2024. Share Your Thoughts With Me. on: October 29, 2023, 06:23:11 PM
Betting a high value is fine as long as it is inside your betting tolerance. Having a high target pf profit is fine as long as you yourself know how gambling works. There are times wherein as you chase your profit.Bottomline is; nothing’s assured with gambling. You have to manage your expectations in order for you to cope up if things would go out of hand. If you are having that mindset that profit is assured, then be prepared of the consequences.
757  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin: The smartest investment choice. on: October 28, 2023, 07:49:04 PM
Crypto is risky for many reasons but don't consider it a safe investment as it can have huge price swings in the blink of an eye. I think Buffett made bad comments about bitcoin because he doesn't like investing in crypto. Before diving into the world of cryptocurrencies it is important to note that cryptocurrencies are highly unpredictable and involve many risks and challenges compared to other investments. You must be patient enough to invest your money in such high risk investments every crypto investor must control their emotions and be as informed as possible before entering the crypto market.
Cryptocurrencies are a good investment choice if profit is concerned. However, if it is best I still believe reas estate and properties would be first in line. Profit won’t be in an instant but atleast it would be assured. There are still limitations for this industry which simply creates risk for its investors. Many countries still are in doubt of its adoption and with that, I do think that other investments would be better which requires less attention over years. Not unless you are financially ready to invest and let it asleep until satisfactory.
758  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Have we seen the lowest low of this bear market? on: October 28, 2023, 05:27:42 PM
Hard to tell there are still CME Gaps around $20k which could trigger a lower downfall with its market value. No one has the assurance of how much its market price could get; same thing with wehether its market price would already recover from the mentioned dump. But I guess its price would just go pump and dump until the halving. There’s no strong reason for a continuous pump at this moment which gives me doubt and this could still be a bear trap so better be careful of entering and going all out this early.
759  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: "Mattress Mack" loses nearly 10 million dollars on Astros Loss on: October 28, 2023, 04:45:06 PM
The point is that he makes a mix of risk and fanaticism, a very volatile mix, but it works for him, and this works for him because he has the money and the knowledge, the bet on the Astros was not so crazy, despite being a fan .

As for the classic question, would I make the bet, the amount does not have to represent my fanaticism but rather the ability to do it within of my bankroll, then, as read in some posts above, the guy bet 10% of yours winnings, okay, I mean, in the equivalent, I would bet that % of my bankroll, if it is $100 or $10 million it is already a question of the size of the bet, and obviously sometimes seeing millions for the average mortal can be a lot but these guys live within those limits.
If they bet an amount outside their risk tolerance then they are foolish from doing so. If we would be asked whether we’d do the same thing and we happened to not have that much of money then the answer should be obvious, a big NO. But if I’m rich as him or Drake or others who bets huge
, then I’d probably do. Drake for example have lost some of his big bets but for sure he earned huge as well with his other huge bets. And they are simply aware of it, no need to worry. This scenario is just a simple representation of why we shouldn’t bet an amount we cannot afford losing, no matter how sure we are.
760  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How safe do you feel with casinos that ask you to input your log detail. on: October 28, 2023, 04:03:31 PM
That's why features like "keep me log in" is saving time and less annoying. I guess on this one, it's to each their own.

Some may agree, and there are the others that will disagree. Honestly, it's not that much to think of when the casino asks you frequently about your log in details because there's a security measures through that.

If you find it that it is costing you a lot of time then all you need to do is to find another one or request that to the casino where you're gambling.
There are just time saved log ins are undergoing reset. You may save the address of that gambling site or to manually check each letter and punctuation ‘coz it is where phising sites are taking advantage.Another option is to not store huge amount of money or tomake it a habit withdrawing the fundswhenever you’re done playing to lessen your worries of losing all of it if ever you would mistakenly log in to fake gambling sites. Never be too lazy if you’re afraid of the consequences of such action.
