14501  Economy / Speculation / Re: btc next dump, which support will it hit ? on: December 04, 2017, 03:03:15 PM
Based on last dump it should not go under 9000$,I think on that level we have high resistance. But we never know with BTC,it can go few thousands $ up in few days and then go down 2000$ in 24 hours. This is always interesting because people want to sell at the highest possible price and buy at the lowest.

Since CME is announced start of bitcoin futures at December 18., and by today news CBOE is lunching bitcoin futures at December 10., it is realistic to expect that price will go only up in next two weeks. How will bitcoin futures have the effect on BTC in general and to price correction it remains to be seen in the upcoming days.
14502  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Ledger-Paid 18.07Euro for 1-2 Day delivery-shipped as HongKong Registered Letter on: December 04, 2017, 11:56:15 AM
I'm quite disappointed with the Ledger folk.

Shipping costs 18.07 Euro, clearly labelled as 1-2 day delivery -- it was handed off to Hong Kong post as a registered letter for delivery. Not even as an Express Mail ?

I ordered a Trezor from Amazon at the same time, paid for express delivery (~USD20) and got it within the week. Using that for my hardware wallet now.

I'm still waiting for my Ledger Nano S.

My Ledger Nano S is delivered 11 days after order from France and I pay standard shipping around 15 Euros.Since they say it is 7-14 days to be delivered it is good for me.You should contact Ledger and ask them where is the problem, maybe someone made a mistake and send your package as normal delivery and not premium/express.In that case you maybe can get some of your money back.
14503  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The safest way to store Bitcoin is in your memory on: December 04, 2017, 11:31:14 AM
I can not agree with OP that his way is safest way to store BTC,it is too risky, only one forgotten word from seed and game is over for your BTC.As Soros Shorts say you may also experience an accident and lost your memory.

If you want to protect your seed there is some better ways. For example write your seed on paper and divide it in few parts, let's say 3 papers each contains 8 words. Then be imaginative and store each paper on different but secure places. To remember order of words write note with each first word and give them numbers from 1-3.So even is somebody find part of seed it will not mean anything and your BTC will be safe, unless you lose your memory and forget that you even have BTC Smiley

14504  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why people from 3rd countries are crazy about getting cryptos? on: December 04, 2017, 10:50:07 AM
I just can ask OP why he is here on forum and why he is interested in BTC.Probably for the same reason as people from Philippines and Indonesia and some other countries where life is not so easy or simple like in some wealthy countries.People just try to get better life, and if cryptocurrency can make it possible I do not see where the problem is in that.Satoshi is created BTC to try make financial freedom for all people around the world, and it is currently working.

If you think someone is violating the forum rules, signature spamming or something else, there is button for report to moderator any post or user.As for me, all the people on this forum are equal,or as you say crazy about cryptocoins.
14505  Other / Meta / Re: [Poll] What do you think of the forum's usage of reCaptcha? on: December 04, 2017, 10:00:58 AM
I also have big problems with reCaptcha and sometimes I get that message about sending automated queries.Only way to log in in forum is to reset my modem and get new IP.So problem is connected with IP address of individual user, but may be also related to specific site.

For example if I have problem with reCaptcha on one site,on some other site same reCaptcha is so easy to solve,or there is no even captcha like in Google short link service.I notice also if you try to reload captcha to many time to get an easier one, this may tag you as bot.

Last few days reCaptcha is super easy for me on bitcointalk,it can be solved in a single attempt. When your IP get block from Google, there is link-help page and you should send them e-mail with your IP address so they maybe check and unblock your IP.
14506  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Need Help - lost my Google Atuthenticator on: December 03, 2017, 02:23:49 PM
Hello,
i lost my Google-Authenticator (changed the Smartphone). So i cant send BTC.
Is it possible to deactivate this Google-Authenticator-check? Is there a way to do that without a restore with using the seed?

There is no option to deactivate 2FA without using seed, only thing you can do is to reset or deactivate your 2FA with seed.I do not know what version of Electrum you use,but in last stabile 2.9.3 you go to File - New/Restore - Standard Wallet -- I have a seed - and then enter your seed. After that you will see option to disable 2FA and then you can use your wallet normally.

14507  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Teen investing $1,000 .... What should I do ? on: December 03, 2017, 02:03:35 PM
Hello, I have 2 questions:

I have about $1k I want to invest in crypto... being a teen I want to invest this for the long term 5/10 years, what cryptos should I invest in ?

I have looked into Exodus and with the recovery phase, is it a safe way to store crypto ? I know about paper wallets, but they are not a convenient way to access funds and also can be effected by the environment, water, stolen etc... This is why I would like to use exodus, it seems like a good method.

I don't want to use a hardware wallet, If exodus is considered 'safe' I do not feel a hardware wallet is necessary for $1k amount, also its not as convenient.

Thanks !  Smiley

You say that you have in plan long-term investment so when you buy coins they will stay on some wallet for years. In that case do not use any online or desktop wallet because they are most vulnerable to hacking.Best way to secure your coins is to invest around 100$ in hardware wallet, write your seed and make few copies-save them in safe places.Hardware wallet is quite convenient for everyday use and for long-term storage.

Regarding coins you should invest, number one is BTC,maybe some % should go to ETH-but all others are actually gambling with luck. They may worth something or nothing in 5-10 years.
14508  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: At which price would BTC get te currency we use, instead of $,€,... ? on: December 03, 2017, 12:32:26 PM
I am wondering at which price would we stop to measure a BTC in Fiat?

I mean if someone asks me how much money I have and if I tell him, I tell him f.e. 1000€ and I wouldn´t think how much my € is in $ and tell him the price in $.
At which price will people stop saying I have f.e. 1000$ in BTC, but just say I have 20 mBTC?

I think the price should not have anything to do with the fact that we express our BTC in fiat.It is normal thing today as we can not pay most things necessary for everyday life in BTC.Maybe things will change when BTC becomes a common means of payment and when it is available in wide use.

One BTC is always one BTC,but his value is changing almost every minutes,I think it is in human nature to converts a smaller number into the larger numbers. When you say "I have 1 BTC" it not sound like you have to much, but when you say "I have 1 BTC worth 11000$" it sounds as if you have a lot more.
14509  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2018 World Cup qualifications, UEFA zone, discussion and information thread on: December 03, 2017, 12:16:12 PM
Group B is very interesting because there are Portugal,Spain,Iran,Morocco.I think this is a death group because without spian rest all teams are equally strong.I am very excited to see Portugal and Spain's match. How ronaldo will face against ramos or isco. Also morocco is a very strong team as they have showed that they are capable of win any matches.I think we will witness some thrilling matches in WC 2018.

In every sport everything is possible including in football, but I would never call this group "a death group".Spain and Portugal are much more powerful teams then Morocco and Iran and anything then clear win from Spain&Portugal would be a great surprise.

I know Morocco have at least one big star Medhi Benatia and he is know as one of best defenders in Africa playing in Juventus. They are ranked as 40 on Fifa list and they did not participated in World Cup in last 20 years.

Iran is ranked as 32 on Fifa list, and they have Carlos Queiroz as coach-he is very well known Portuguese coach. They star is Sardar Azmoun who is their main striker,he score 11 goals in qualifications.
14510  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2017-12-03] US Senate Moves to Criminalize Non-Disclosure of Cryptocurrency Own on: December 03, 2017, 11:35:01 AM
US Senate Moves to Criminalize Non-Disclosure of Cryptocurrency Ownership

The US Senate Judiciary Committee is currently tackling bill S.1241 that aims to criminalize the intentional concealment of ownership or control of a financial account. The bill also would amend the definition of ‘financial account’ and ‘financial institution’ to include digital currencies and digital exchanges, respectively. According to ranking committee member Senator Dianne Feinstein, the proposed bill is needed to modernize existing AML laws.
Changing definitions

The bill would amend the definition of ‘financial institution,’ in Section 53412(a) of title 31, United States Code, to include:

“An issuer, redeemer, or cashier of prepaid access devices, digital currency, or any digital exchanger or tumbler of digital currency.”

If passed, the bill would likely have far-reaching effects for users of digital currencies both in the US and abroad.
Industry opinions

Several industry commentators have issued their opinions on the proposed law. Tone Vays claimed that he expects a confrontation between the Bitcoin team, including the holders and users, and the US government.

“It’s bad…I think it’s gonna end in a very confrontational way between Bitcoin—even Bitcoin holders and users—and the US Government.”

In his testimony during the hearing, John A. Cassara claimed that the issue of virtual currencies is interesting:

“Senator, I’m just glad I had my career when I did because I don’t know what I’d do trying to follow the money when it comes to digital currencies, it’s extremely, extremely challenging…I think if you look at the metrics, the metrics suggest today [that] digital currencies are a small fraction of the threat that we face. That’s not to say it’s gonna be the case in 5-10 years from now. We’re right at a crossroads, and it’s going to be very, very interesting to see what goes forward.”

Earlier reports also indicate that the White House is actively monitoring cryptocurrencies which could only mean more attempts to regulate the world’s first successful decentralized monetary system. With the growing involvement of Wall Street and the ever escalating media attention, it is not surprising that governments are stepping up their attempts to regulate digital currency.

Source: https://cointelegraph.com/news/us-senate-moves-to-criminalize-non-disclosure-of-cryptocurrency-ownership

It's completely understandable that this big country who wants to have the whole world under control also want to have control over BTC,and I do not doubt they will do it.They want to identify all who own or trade cryptocurrency, collect taxes and somehow discourage people from using BTC.

All the more it seems that the granting of bitcoin futures in USA is in order to empower this control. How will this ultimately end is a question for trillion dollars, but I am sure that whatever happens in terms of regulation and control in USA will have an impact on other countries in the world.
14511  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: 🔥Game Of Bitcoins🔥BTC✪DOGE✪LTC✪DASH✪BLK✪PPC✪XPM✪BCH✪ETH🔥Best Faucets🔥 on: December 02, 2017, 05:46:09 PM
So... About month passed and stuff has changed...

Btc Faucet : http://btczone.faucethero.com/ paying 0.0008$ - (10-13 sat most of times) worth of btc Every 4 Minutes.

Eth Faucet : http://ethzone.faucethero.com/ Paying 120-220 Gwei Every 4 Minutes (10% refferal)

Doge Faucet : http://dogezone.faucethero.com/ Paying 0.68 Doge Every 4 Minutes

I check your faucets and I do not like what I see on BTC faucet.First one short link is pop even before claim/then new windows open when I try to add my address/then new short link and after solve captcha and anti-bot links I get some message to fill something, captcha can not be verified?

What to say,can not even claim and is it worth to go through all this for 10 satoshi? You do not have to explain anything about short links/ads-you done it before.I can just say that this is far from user-friendly faucet.

1. "First one short link is pop even before claim" : The Owner of faucethero Takes the first Short Link of Every User Every 24 Hours , that "short link" Where you just have to click on 1 button - skip , Makes the faucet stay in Some kind of balance cause First Short link is Taken by the owner and the 5-10 seconds skip link gives me almost same as i give out on my first claim(You see that First Short link only 1 time per 8 hours Not every time you enter to faucet).

2. Once i reach Minimum payout on Popups i am going to Remove Them. It takes time , that's why i am trying to find people that will advertise my faucet a bit so i can remove them As Fast As Possible.

3. Anti bot ? i do it in exactly 2-3 seconds and Captcha? idk what's the problem. i have changed it into Easier One as well as you have the option to change it to Solve Media, Look at the bright side, it's not RECAPTCHA, Man... i hate it Smiley

4. As i don't have My Own Domain/My Own Script Therefore, I Can't get accepted to bigger Ad Companies , i have to balance the earnings a bit And not give out every claim More than i earn cause that will lead me to major loses.

IF The Owner Wouldn't put His link as First but as 2nd / 3rd and left the 0 Minute Timer(He Changed it in purpose to 4 minutes minimum clain in purpose so people will change faucets And he will earn money for every His Link(Every User Has To watch 1 Owner Shortlink per faucet per 24 hours)So ofcourse he wanted more people to go through FaucetHero Different faucets) Stuff wouldn't be so complicated... 1 short link in claim should cover every single lose, but sadly cause this is the reality , it doesn't as some shorteners are scam...

As I say and you did not read,no need to write same things two or three times-I know how faucets works and what you need to run faucet/If you want something to do seriously you need to buy hosting&domain,it is just few $ of investment.

Regarding current situation on faucets,as you can see BTC price is very high so rewards are going down-we can do nothing to change that.Only way to increase your earnings are to claim more on altcoins faucets and exchange for BTC.

Checking of faucets is become even more difficult with reCaptcha problem and short links, but I think you can find some of best faucets on my lists.I think site is pretty fast and everything is working good-if you have some problems, questions or suggestion you can contact me here,on e-mail,Twitter or FaucetHub chat.

14512  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2018 World Cup qualifications, UEFA zone, discussion and information thread on: December 02, 2017, 02:22:12 PM

Now that the draw is completed and the groups are formed I think we can say that this will be a very interesting World Cup.It is probably too early to say who are the favorites just because it is 7 months to the beginning and the fact that some players may be injured at that time.Portugal without Ronaldo or Argentina without Messi are not the same team.

In group A Russia and Uruguay look like favorites but Egypt will certainly seek their chance. In group B only question is who will take first spot, but it's clear who goes in second round.Group C is interesting with France who is favorit on paper, but it will be hard to play with teams like Denmark/Peru and Australia. In group D we will see again Croatia vs. Iceland who will probably fight for second spot-Argentina is maybe not in best shape now but I think they will win in this group.Nigeria is always play good, but they lack the technical knowledge and discipline in the game.

Group E is very strong with Brazil,Costa Rica,Switzerland and Serbia-I think Brazil will win in this group, and Switzerland or Costa Rica will fight for second spot.In group F Germany is strongest team, and I think Mexico can win over Sweden and Korea and win second spot.

Group G have two team who will dominate and go in next stage and they are Belgium and England,Tunisia and Panama should not be a big problem for these teams. In group H all teams look equaled more or less, but maybe Poland and Columbia have little advantage over Senegal and Japan.
14513  Economy / Speculation / Re: The price of bitcoin on halving day 2020 on: December 02, 2017, 12:27:15 PM
In about two and a half years I hope price will be much higher then today. We can play with numbers and make speculation about that, and like in lottery someone will always guess the real number.

Let's say the price goes up by 100% on year level, now we are between 10k$-11k$.

20k$ in 2018.
40$ in 2019.
50$ in mid of 2020.

Of course it can be more or less of this amount, and it much depend the extent to which bitcoin futures will affect on BTC.I would be happy with 50k$ on next halving, but I would not have anything against 100k$.What matters is a steady growth through the years,so if price go up only 50% every year for me it would be an excellent achievement.
14514  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2017-12-01] Invest in Bitcoin 'At Your Own Risk,' Warns French Central Bank on: December 02, 2017, 11:47:42 AM
I understand that authorities want to warn their citizens that the investment in BTC is actually very risky, and we all know that really is like that.So if people lose their money in any way(price go down, lost private keys, hacking) then they will say "we warned you".

On the other side certainly they do not like to people invest money in BTC and other coins and make profit on this way, there is problem how to charge the tax on such transaction and if you have possibility to make profit from BTC then you will be less dependent on banks and loans.

We all know what happened 2008. and how this impact to ordinary people around the world.Millions of people lost their property and millions are in debt bondage today. If someone invest in BTC instead took a loan few years ago, today he would surely live better.
14515  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Should I invest into Bitcoin or Enthereum to get higher return ? on: December 02, 2017, 11:22:05 AM
I think you first need to learn some basic about how cryptocurrency works, and maybe use a proper name for coins. It is not Enthereum(maybe this is some new coin?)like you wrote, proper name is Ethereum.

The biggest dilemma with investors in ETH is in fact can this coin come to value of BTC.I would say that one day if/when 1BTC be worth 100k$,then 1 ETH can be worth 5k$ or maybe 10k$.So for long term investment ETH is probably a good opportunity, but it will not be any surprise if we see some big pump in ETH.

Regarding BTC,anyone who invested from the first day and who invested yesterday is make profit-I think that this fact says it all.
14516  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin to 20k-40k by end of the month. FORECAST on: December 01, 2017, 03:39:55 PM
It is not impossible to pump price to 20k$ before end of this year, but it is unlikely that this will happen. Those who speculate about BTC price say that this price can be reached in 2018,and I think it's more realistic.

I do not know how big impact will have bitcoin futures on BTC price, but news say that today U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission is gave green light for CME,so they will start with bitcoin futures on December 18. 2017.

Some news saying that amount of money waiting to flow in BTC is over 10$ billion, and this will for sure pump price pretty much above 10k$.
14517  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2017-12-01] Cyber-thieves seek to cash in on Bitcoin boom on: December 01, 2017, 01:54:59 PM
This article is about coin-mining malware, and if you have it on your PC then only thing this malware doing is to using your CPU to mine some coin, probably Monero. There is also mining script which is activated in your browser when you visit some site, and this is from CoinHive-in moment you leave such site mining is stoped.

Most of security software stop such attempts these days,so if you want to protect your PC from hidden mining invest some money in good security, antivirus+firewall and Malwarebytes Premium are something that you must have.Just check on Marketplace in DigitalGoods section and you can get licence for almost any security software very cheap.

Considering the price of BTC this problem will probably only become even greater, but only thanks to countless computers who have no adequate protection.

14518  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: address on: December 01, 2017, 01:29:55 PM
update to the latest version of electrum if you haven't done so already. then do this: https://www.reddit.com/r/Electrum/comments/7g9qfr/bitcoin_sent_to_an_old_address/dqik4gt/?context=3

Do you see your address?

I have installed the newest 3.0.2 with Windows, the net connection was ok, synch ok, still nothing.  Even with the hucked transaction must be in history within seeds, why not?
What for right now? Huh

If you have correct seed which is generated that address you send BTC from exchange then problem is somewhere in Electrum.I suggest you try uninstall Electrum and delete his folder which is located in this path : C:\Users\Home\AppData\Roaming\Electrum and then install again using option "I have seed".

Before you do that you may try to go to same path and delete only "blockchain_headers" file, then give your wallet some time to sync.If you not see your transaction click on green dot and try to select server manually on by one.

Be sure you have your correct seed writen and checked before you do anything.
14519  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Transfering Bitcoin, BCash, Bitcoin Gold to Hardware Wallet on: December 01, 2017, 11:16:37 AM
Hey,

I want to transfer my Bitcoin, BCash, Bitcoin Gold to my Ledger Nano S and I have a few questions to avoid mistakes.

I hold my bitcoins in an Electrum wallet since 24.07.2017. So I guess I also hold BCash and Bitcoin Gold.

So for my understanding I have to start with sending my Bitcoins to my hardware wallet. After that I have to download the electroncash wallet, enter my seeds and then I am able to send my BCash to the hardware wallet. To get my Bitcoin Gold, I have to wait until a electrum gold wallet is released, right? I will then enter my seeds again and claim my Bitcoin Gold. Are my assumption correct?

Thanks in advance.
No not seeds you should backup first the private key where you save your bitcoin and then transfer your bitcoin to a new wallet just make a new wallet in electrum and send it there before you install electron cash you should delete the electrum wallet(note you should had the private keys both old and new wallet) before you install electron cash and import your private keys ..
For bitcoin gold you can claim your bitcoin gold in coinomi check this thread.. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2313028.0

He want to send his BTC,BCH and BTG to hardware wallet and his BTC is currently located in Electrum,so why you think he need to backup his private keys from Electrum?

When he send BTC from Electrum to Ledger Nano S and transaction is confirmed, then his BTC is safe and secure in new address and with new Ledger 24 words seed.He can then use his old Electrum seed to claim BCH through ElectronCash and send it to Ledger BCH wallet.

As for me,bbacardi is absolutely right and all steps are correct.
14520  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2017-12-01] A Rollercoaster: Bitcoin Price Dips Below $9,100, Recovers to $10k on: December 01, 2017, 10:52:29 AM
At one point the price correction had to happen, simply we went too fast up.Some holders decided to sell when price is reach 11k$ and some do it yesterday,as we see it does not affect the price too much-in just a few hours we are very close again to 10k$.That just shows that whales take profits especially counting on the weak hands who react on such big drops by panic selling.

Earlier this month, Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong stated that $10 billion in institutional money is expected to flow into the bitcoin market by the end of 2017. That number could drastically increase with Nasdaq’s integration of bitcoin futures in the first half of 2018, as Nasdaq would allow the vast majority of investors in the traditional finance sector to engage in bitcoin trading and invest in the new asset class.
Source: https://www.cryptocoinsnews.com/bitcoin-price-dips-below-9100-recovers-to-10300-within-hours/

This is very interesting, with such money we should see new pump of price in this month, and next year even more with Nasdaq bitcoin futures.Although it seems that something like this brings BTC on the world financial scene,I'm always wondering what impact will this have on long term BTC future.
