No way can this pump last if no new incoming fiat. Soon as it's gone, IT'S GONE AND WE DIVEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE.

https://support.mtgox.com/entries/21649594-Withdrawals-and-Deposits

Above link updated last week. It states that not only are wire withdrawals to the US disabled, but so are incoming deposits! wtf. where is all the money on gox coming from?

My theory is that the money has been sitting off order books since April and is now coming out of the woods, desperately buying bitcoin to get fiat out. This is only half of the capitulation. Other half will be when we finally see the sells on non-gox exchanges.

I also suspect that due to no trade fees on btccny (lol), a single entity or two is pumping the price up, hoping all the other exchanges follow. That way the pumper takes less of a hit when selling on non-gox exchanges.

Apple offering iPad Mini w/ Retina in November. Bitcoin to da moon!?
1464  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: No more dwolla - new service agreement on: October 22, 2013, 05:11:06 PM
I thought they were going to allow for xfers from CampBX (one way and only for established accounts) until the end of the month.

6 more days only

but there was apparently an 'error' preventing people to even get money back to dwolla the last few days

The new agreement doesn't say anything about 6 more days...

Another theory about why there is so little resistance to the current climb:

1) many of the largest bitcoin holders were criminals and/or money launderers; and

2) ^ have been scared away from the major exchanges due to regulation and government actions over the summer.

It's not Thursday. We can't crash yet.
1468  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer - MtGoxUSD wall movement tracker - Hardcore on: October 22, 2013, 02:26:50 AM
Thursday is a magnet for crashes. I bet the bubble continues to inflate until then.

im glad i have been all in for a while, but boy am i getting worried that this will reverse soon!

Same, i'm looking at the depths. big ask walls ahead on both gox and stamp. Maybe a bigger correction is coming, if it doesn't go higher in the next 24hours, it will probably go down and shake weak hands.

All of the alts in the top 10 marketcap are taking a dive. http://coinmarketcap.com/

Does this typically precede a correction?

naw btc rises like this, all alts fall together.....

Or are the alt pumpers getting ready to cashout their btc?

Only ~200k of the 1.5m USD bid wall left, where did it go?

To China to create more fake volume.
1472  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer - MtGoxUSD wall movement tracker - Hardcore on: October 21, 2013, 07:12:41 AM
I go to sleep now. Single digits by the time I awake.  Kiss

The more people hear about this bitcoin thing, the more people will actually give it a try and tell their friends and family quickly realize that Bitcoin doesn't really solve any of the problems created by fiat.
1474  Economy / Speculation / Capitulation = rise in price on: October 21, 2013, 02:58:51 AM
Think about it.
1475  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer - MtGoxUSD wall movement tracker - Hardcore on: October 21, 2013, 12:10:45 AM
If someone can prove that China is somehow a fake pump then I will rest my case.

High volume = easy pump. No trading fees = lots of fake volume. Main China exchange = no trading fees.

You do the math, dummy.

Mizuho Bank in trouble. What does this have to do with Bitcoin? It's the bank that Mt.Gox uses:
http://online.wsj.com/article/SB10001424052702304330904579132822082403460.html

I'd say bullish for bitcoin, perhaps the withdrawal delays are not Mt.Gox fault after all?

So Bullish = increased difficulty in getting fiat out of exchanges? lol.

Capitulation = increase in fiat value.

Bitcoin = the backwards bubble.

Prediction: Once bitcoin no longer faces regulatory hurdles and is not frowned upon by banks, the price will plummet.

It is proven.

Any words on if Gox has alreadyfully synced (I assume yes, it couldn't take this long).

I just called Mark's cell. he said nope.
1478  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer - MtGoxUSD wall movement tracker - Hardcore on: October 19, 2013, 07:34:08 PM
So several days worth of coins might hit Gox any minute now? BWAHAHAHAHAHA. Epic crash impending.

*edit*

Also, consider that the deposits over the last few days were probably more than usual given the recent dramatic climb up.
1479  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer - MtGoxUSD wall movement tracker - Hardcore on: October 19, 2013, 06:30:59 PM
There is a strong correlation with upward price movement and Gox's incompetence.
1480  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer - MtGoxUSD wall movement tracker - Hardcore on: October 19, 2013, 04:16:45 PM
bitcoin is so weird.

LOL. Please tell us when the next crash to single digits will be please. Tongue

I think we are in correction mode atm. Prob to 170-ish. Then I re-evaluate. Single digits might have to wait a week.
