1461  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are you surprise by bitcoin price now? on: November 24, 2017, 06:44:42 PM
October 29, 2017 Bitcoin price ranges from $6,000 - $6,100 and today, bitcoin price is now $7,000. Are you surprise?

I think, if only those people who planning to invest in bitcoin manage to notice this sudden increase. I think there is a high chance that they will start investing.

Ofcourse, We are suprised because of it's price everyday as compared to it's price last year, there is so much difference between this year and last year. As you've see about bitcoin, It is moving and increasing it's rate everyday and trying and trying to increase. This is the time that every one will start investing, because every one will be benefited if they invested now because they will gain a lots of profit.
1462  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can BTC be blocked by government ? on: November 24, 2017, 01:43:39 PM
It can't. There are many nodes that Bitcoin has, more than what sites like coin.dance say and it's impossible to find them, let alone block all of them.
They could attempt to ruin Bitcoin's quality of service by blocking exchanges, forums and web wallets, but people would still be able to use it and they'd find a way to do all of these things.

It's also important to note that any ISP blockages can be circumvented by using a VPN, thus it wouldn't even be remotely effective.
The only way to stop Bitcoin is by not using the Internet at all, like North Korea does.

If the government blocked wallet and exchange services, Well i say to you that we can still access them. If we will use TOR or VPN that hides our IP, We can access them. The only thing to do is to disable the internet service. But no one will trying to disable it. In other words, Government will not be able to block wallet and exchange services here in bitcoin world.
1463  Economy / Economics / Re: Electronic Money vs. Physical Money on: November 24, 2017, 01:19:19 PM
Better invest in crypto. They at least requires some work. In a case of fiat, they can be drawen easely.

Yes ofcourse . Its better to invest in crypto but there are some cryptos that are easily to decrease its rate and there are also some crypto that are not approved or verified to be trade or exchange with fiat. The best thing to do is to buy a bitcoin and invest in it. But we can also invest if were using physical money, by putting them in a bank account.
1464  Economy / Economics / Re: Next generation money on: November 23, 2017, 10:22:44 AM
The total majority of Bitcoin holders think of their favorite toy as the next step in the evolution of money (less so for active users). I don't deny the technological innovation in respect to the blockchain and the decentralized nature of how new money is created through mining. With that said, I still don't think that Bitcoin did actually revolutionize the concept of money itself. Gold as money existed long before fiat, and it was "created" in a decentralized way too, so nothing particularly new here as well...

I have an idea what could be an entirely new form of money (actually, it is not my idea), but first I would like to hear from you, guys (and gals), what you think about the truly new money that is yet to be invented or implemented

Crypto is a currency and you can buy or purchase any items/products or service as fiat is being used. Bitcoin has been legal for many countries and it is approved and able to exchange to fiat. In connection to the next generation money, i'm guess that it will remains and many cryptocurrencies will arise. But bitcoin will still increase and still remains.
1465  Economy / Economics / Re: Where do you spend your money from Bitcoin? on: November 22, 2017, 02:29:24 AM
Today's economy is either rising or falling depending on the consumers and sellers. If you join the Bitcoin, there is a high probability that you will gain something from your money because there are a lot of opportunities here. So my question is, "Where do you usually spend your money that you have gained here in Bitcoin?"

As i student, I already gain some money because of it. I spend my money in studies, by buying some materials that will help me in my studies, by using it in different way. I also spending money for myself. I already bought some gadgets and things that i want in able for me to relax myself during siesta time. And lastly, Im also investing it in a Bank that will also help myself in gaining money.
1466  Economy / Economics / Re: The future of the paper money on: November 22, 2017, 01:24:34 AM
Andrew Haldane said one solution would be for the Bank of England to issue a state-backed digital currency based on bitcoin. Supporting this initiative would be a negative interest rate levied on paper currency relative to the digital currency, with these measures do you think there is more possibilities that sometime:

Paper money will be banned entirely?
How long do you think that happens?
would it work?
What security and privacy risks would it raise?
And how would public and privately issued monies interact?

Using paper money is very nice. But remember, If paper money has beem banned, We're all under control by cyber. What if your account is not verified and you need to buy something? You're not have the authority to buy because it takes time to verify your account. In the other hand, Paper money is useful than Bitcoin but in the world of business, Btc is useful. We are not the one to judge of losing paper money. But i guess this two are need to exist here in world.
1467  Economy / Economics / Re: Which country will be the first to legalize Bitcoin? on: November 18, 2017, 12:23:08 AM
Or others Criptocurrencies I mean..

I'm looking forward to read and hear this news that will happen soon then what we are thinking..and it will change the way of action in economic world by who already are against BTC and stuff.
It has to happen ( even if I don't know how )

I bet in China  Wink

Bitcoin is a legal cryptocurrency here in the world but there are other countries that didnt notice what Bitcoin is. In this type of question, We didn't need to ask who is the first but much better if we will ask what are the other countries that doesn't make Bitcoin legal. As i've answered that kind of question, I bet in Japan. But i'm really sure.
1468  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin can not replace fiat on: November 17, 2017, 08:47:53 PM
Yes, got you intrigued, didn't it?

Bitcoin is a very good thing to have as an asset. Just like gold. Even better if I may say. It's secure, and unlike fiat money it actually exists and work is put into it to produce it. This makes it great to store value.
However, it cannot and will not replace current fiat money that the entire world it using. It just cannot.
Take paying a cup of coffee for example. To pay your coffee with bitcoins, one must get bitcoins first, either by mining or buying bitcoins with other kinds of money (*cough*fiat*cough). It ends up being a quite complicated process, don't you think?
Until we reach the point where paying for a cup of coffee is as easy with Bitcoin as it is with cash, we will never get mass adoption. And as far as I see it, there is no way of simplifying the acquiring of bitcoins.

Yes youre on point. Heres the thing, Bitcoin cannot replace fiat because.. Btc value only depends on another currency's existence which we call it "fiat". Bitcoin in reality is not a money. Bitcoin only provides a transfer function, wether its a payment for a service, or a payment for a product. We invest btc with the hopes to pump up its value right? We use fiat money to invest, some get it from services like campaigns, faucets, blogs, etc. But at the end of the day when the Btc value met or exceed our expectations, we exchange it for fiat. So, how can Btc replaced fiat in these case. Can Btc creates its own value without depending in another form of currency? Yes, btc has a lot of good features than fiat in some cases but simply cannot replace fiat.
yes, I really agree with you. the reason is quite simple, how can digital currency replace fiat? I will also add a little bit of my opinion on this, bitcoin is a new thing for investment, trading, and online transactions purposes. there is also no clear regulation from the government on bitcoin, so I think it will be better as it is now. we invest our money in bitcoin, pumping its value to go up properly and exchange it for money in the hope of making a profit.
Fiat is under government regulation and fiat used by all people in the world, in fact I think fiat is still better in terms of transaction, no fees, the payment can be done anywhere, there is no confirmation and work offline 100%. So how bitcoin can replace fiat, if the fact fiat is still excelled in terms of transaction.

Yes. I really agree with you. Fiat is still better than bitcoin. You know why? Because if you are aware of observing stores in your locations, Only few stores will accept Bitcoin as mode of payment. Hence, It shows that Fiat is still better than Bitcoin. No hassle, Just pay. Unlike bitcoin, the store must have an account to receive Bitcoin. Then if this is the case, What if the owner of the store has no account that can reveive Bitcoin? Probably, that's a big problem. In terms of using money in all services and buying products, Fiat is better than Bitcoin.
1469  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin or gold? on: November 17, 2017, 06:40:40 AM
If you had to convert all your wealth to either Bitcoin or gold and keep it there for 10 years, which would you choose? Keep in mind the fact that Bitcoin has only been around for 5 years, and could be fundamentally different in any number of ways in 10 years.

Bitcoin or gold? If you will ask ordinary person like me in the way that includes wealth, I assure you that an ordinary person will say that he/she want is both of them. You know why? Because of having a high and good price, it is also good in market. I choose bitcoin because you can invest and gain more money in it and I also choose gold because if you will sell it, it provides a lot of money.
1470  Economy / Economics / Re: What will happen if we use a one currency only? on: November 17, 2017, 05:55:16 AM
[Edited to make it more understandable question]
What if all nation use only a one currency or one global currency?, What will happen to our world?, What is the effect of every nation's or every country economy?, It can make people's unite each other?Any opinion. Cheesy

If all nation is using one currency, I think, this is a big burden to all of us. You know why? Because we cannot dictate of our currency rate is increasing or decreasing. We cannot notice if our economy is going up or down. Having too many currency in the world is very important, it is also the one of the basis if our economy rate is increasing or decreasing. Having too many economy in the world will also helps other people to earn and gain money.
1471  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Restaurants accepting bitcoin! on: November 17, 2017, 03:40:37 AM
Have you tried going to places and get hungry but you have no cash available with only bitcoins in your smartphone. Here are the list of bitcoin accepting restaurants that will feed your stomach with delicious cooking in exchange for bitcoins. This is a sign that bitcoin is truly amazing that even restaurants and pizza stores have seen its value and started to include in its payment options.

Check the list on this link: http://bitcoinrestaurants.net/

In this millenial period, We are hoping that many stores, shops, and other restaurant will accept other mode of payment including Bitcoins. Hence, this is a proof that bitcoins becomes popular in world and it is legal. But i didnt tried to use bitcoin to buy foods but i tried it in buying products in online shops. Hence, were hoping that this currency will be known in all countries.
1472  Economy / Economics / Re: If bitcoin price is $10.000, will fiat be worthless? on: November 17, 2017, 01:48:42 AM
In one of the topics I read "If bitcoin will reach $10.000, fiat currency has become worthless"
Do you agree with this statement?

As i observe about what's happening right now, the rate of bitcoin is too high compare the rate of it last year. But many people doesn't aware of it. Many businessmans are using fiat in their business because they're trusting fiats in terms of business. Since bitcoin has been noticed by many people, many investors invest in Bitcoin. If 1btc=$10,000, Fiat will not become worthless because we all know that this is the real money, physical money and you will buy it everywhere you want unlike bitcoin. Indeed, I will say that there's not possibility that fiat will necome worthless.
1473  Economy / Economics / Re: WILL BITCOIN BE USED BY ALMOST EVERYONE IN 2022? on: November 16, 2017, 09:22:56 PM
It is said that bitcoin will destroy the fiat system but i believe that if this happens the world will change completly because banks and a lot of things will go out of market.

Will bitcoin be used by almost everyone in 2022?
This is a big question. As a millenial, many of us are not aware of this kind of currency in our society and we are preffered to use physical money in buying some products in everywhere. In this question, I would say that bitcoin will not destroy fiat but Bitcoin will become popular and this price will increase and increase. If this happens, Many people will have interest on it but not all people will used it for daily lives.
1474  Economy / Economics / Re: Can Bitcoin also lead to corruption ? on: November 16, 2017, 02:09:05 PM
We all know that there is corruption everywhere, like in government or any other organization. Because of money, corruption can always happen with greedy people who always wants more money to them. Since bitcoin can be considered as money, can it also lead to corruption?

Absolutely yes. Look at the real world, many of the people around on us are looking for something that will give them a lot of money. Since many of people are corrupting some of the money of other people, in this internet currency (Bitcoin) is also possible. Some of them are scammers, posting phising links, etc. These activities are illegal activities but they're doing it because they wanted to have a lots of money.
1475  Economy / Economics / Re: Electronic Money vs. Physical Money on: November 16, 2017, 11:39:59 AM
Like I said in the other post, real money such as USD or fiat money, the banks accepting these currencies most of them now has online features. Which means you are able to spend that money electronically. So the only difference now being crypto currency is decentralized and relies on a different system of checks and balances. So in terms of convenience, they have their uses, btc right now remains available only to a few individuals, but this is an ever growing population of users of course.
Bitcoin is far better than the physical money because it has best profit giving nature and it has dual mode and on top of it bitcoin user circle is increasing day by day and physical money extent date is near and people are demanding bitcoin to be declared as the global currency so that they can used bitcoin for their daily expenses and more of it btc prices are changing people lives and giving them more than cash gives.

If you will compare these two, These to is having a big difference. If you are an innocent about bitcoin, you will say that this is not a legit internet currency and i believe that you will choose Physical money in this question. Face the reality, There are lots of online shops that requires bitcoin as the mode of payment. In this case, you cannot use the Physical money to pay if you will order or purchase an item. If you're aware in some stores, many of them are using Bitcoin as mode of payment. Indeed, Bitcoin is good in some cases and also Physical money has advantage in other situations. And i believe that someday, many of us will use bitcoin in every stores or shops in our country.
1476  Local / Pilipinas / Re: PHISING SITE BEWARE, DON'T BE A VICTIM of THESE HACKERS on: November 16, 2017, 07:41:07 AM

1477  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin money? on: November 16, 2017, 07:08:13 AM
Bitcoin is something radically new. Nothing like Bitcoin has been possible until now. I would go so far as to consider it sui generis; "in its own class".  This makes it important to understand what Bitcoin actually is before we try to describe it to others.

We're getting a good handle on the code, and of course on Bitcoin's function and utility, but what words should we use to describe Bitcoin itself? There has been some debate in other threads [mostly my doing] over how it is like/not like money, cash, dollars, etc. I'd like to start this thread by focusing on the term "money", and play Devil's avocate by asking for your best arguments that Bitcoin IS money.

My legal dictionary states "In usual and ordinary acceptation it [money] means gold, silver, or paper money, used as circulating medium of exchange, and does not embrace notes, bonds, evidences of debt, or other personal or real estate." [cites omitted]

Wikipedia says "Money is any object that is generally accepted as payment for goods and services and repayment of debts in a given country or socio-economic context. The main functions of money are distinguished as: a medium of exchange; a unit of account; a store of value; and, occasionally, a standard of deferred payment." [cited omitted]

Webster's Online Dictionary defines money as:
    • 1. The most common medium of exchange; functions as legal tender; "we tried to collect the money he owed us".
    • 2. Wealth reckoned in terms of money; "all his money is in real estate".
    • 3. The official currency issued by a government or national bank; "he changed his money into francs".
    • 4. A piece of metal, as gold, silver, copper, etc., coined, or stamped, and issued by the sovereign authority as a medium of exchange in financial transactions between citizens and with government; also, any number of such pieces; coin.
    • 5. Any written or stamped promise, certificate, or order, as a government note, a bank note, a certificate of deposit, etc., which is payable in standard coined money and is lawfully current in lieu of it; in a comprehensive sense, any currency usually and lawfully employed in buying and selling.
    • 6. In general, wealth; property; as, he has much money in land, or in stocks; to make, or lose, money.
    [links omitted]
    [/list]

I maintain that per these definitions, Bitcoin cannot possibly be described as "money". And further, I think that those who do describe Bitcoin as "money" are doing this community a disservice.

But that is just my point of view. Are there any that can convincingly argue otherwise, that Bitcoin IS money?

Yes. I agreed that Bitcoin is not a money, in real world. But in our time, Bitcoin has been used in many shops, in stores and also you will use it in different online shops. Bitcoin will call as an Internet currency and this is a legit cryptocurrency. If you will search for the definition of money in dictionary, mostly saying that "It is a thing that is used to buy something" And Bitcoin can do it. Indeed, I will say that in this millenial period, Bitcoin will treat as a money right now.
1478  Economy / Economics / Re: Is USD being used for illegal activities? on: November 16, 2017, 06:16:41 AM
If you're aware in the real world, You have no hesitation to say that USD is being used for many illegal activities. Not only USD but all of kinds of money is being used for legal activities. Many people are using these money to look for some members of their team and these teams are doing illegal such as hijacking, carnapping and many more. And the best reason of it is, the money is too high.

The price is simply too high

Yes. The price is too high and this is the reason why many people doing illegal activities. In the same situation, many people are attracted to high value of money and they tend to do illegal activities.
1479  Economy / Economics / Re: When is the right time to buy bitcoin ? on: November 16, 2017, 05:23:52 AM
Well I think the best time to buy bitcoin is now, you might say how do I say so? Well as of now bitcoin was very well known to everyone and because of it the value of it arise because it is the era of the bitcoin that is why it gains a precious value maybe a couple or years there is two perception either positive or negative. Positive the value of it will arise and the negative part maybe it become worthless anymore but it is my speculation but for we did not need to gamble the fate  of ours but we must work on the present.

Well, the best day or time to buy bitcoin is not this time. Because of it's high price. If you buy bitcoin at this time, some of your money will be loss. If you will invest it, There are some instances that your btc will be wasted. But i suggest to you, is to wait for the price of bitcoin to become lower. At this time, i suggest you to buy other altcoins that is so much chances to increase its price.
1480  Economy / Economics / Re: Why people scam on: November 14, 2017, 01:48:14 PM
because people want something that is not possible to be in, then they scam. e
specially related to money, they will scam for the money

People scammed because of many reason. The scammers have many photos of proof of earning even if the money in the picture is not from their earning. Some scammers use the identity of other legit person in group to scam new members. Many scammers are here in cyber, so be aware that we are in cyber don't trust anybody. Don't send first always use escrow, Don't transact to the person you just know in cyber.
