1461  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Pi network mining on: November 04, 2023, 09:34:23 PM
ftp://
Lately it seems that Pi network is growing day by day.  Who can touch Bitcoin on the Pi network?  Many say that the Pi Network will overtake Bitcoin.  I had a bit of a laugh when I heard about the Bitcoin leak.  Bitcoin is the number one coin in cryptocurrency.  I don't think comparing any coin to Bitcoin is anything but silly.  But what is your opinion?  If anyone has an idea about pi network, please let me know.
This is mostly hype and we need to stop hyping pi coin because of what people think or say to attract people to it. I lost total interest on pi coin when a friend informed that pi coin is try to allow ads on his mobile so that they want to pay for the project expenses. It has been king we haven't heard from the team and when they are going to launch the coin which had been making people to ask questions on why the delay. We need to know what we are doing so we don't waste our precious time mining for a long time without any word from the team.
Same thing with me here, I totally lost interest too, when I saw that the team are not serious on the launch of the coins, with the hype that was going that period with this pi network mining it was almost as if the coins will be launch and have it listed in one of the popular CEX for trading but that wasn't the case as the team just keeps postponing the whole launch and making things frustrating and confusing for people actually mining this Pi coin.

Is this the same PI coin listed on some exchanges? I think I saw that in huboi as well. If they are not that serious how were they able to pay listing fees in an exchange like Huboi? I saw some people trying to sell this PI coin in an OTC group that I am in. The price in that group doesn't match the exchange price but it's still a good price that I saw in that OTC group. I am not sure what is happening with that project but I can see many people are not happy with it.
Hmm, that's new, I never knew that their Pi coin has been listed on the exchange Huboi as you claim, I think I will check this out later because I think I know some person with me that are actually owning some pi coins and have been looking for some way to actually exchange it on an legit exchange. And yes so many people are not happy with the pi network because they started as a very promising project till they started adding deceit to their profile claiming to list the coins and adjusting everytime it reaches .
1462  Economy / Services / Re: I'm offering my services as a writer in exchange for btc on: November 04, 2023, 09:29:52 PM
I think for you to advertise such service better, it would be nice for you to actually put up some link to some of your past work or provide a site where we can verify your claims as a good writer if not everyone can just come up and offer such service even with poor skills
1463  Other / Meta / Re: Services board is very hard to browse on: November 04, 2023, 09:27:09 PM
I've read this suggestion so many times but my answer is always is no, as it's not necessary yet but i will agree it for the first time today as for the the same reason. Signature campaigns are majority on the services board, and "Forum Campaigns" child board is quite reasonable board name as well
Definitely a reasonable and quite simplest solution to this problem because so many other services that other forum members here advertise are totally covered by the swam of signature campaign threads, up until now I never actually thought that this was a problem, then after reading what the OP said made my view towards the service board a little bit different because when I visit the service board sometime all what I see or look out for is the signature campaign threads forgetting that other valuable services are also there .
1464  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Hi Im very newbie on: November 04, 2023, 09:17:29 PM
Hi , so where do i start do i have any luck to earn some profit?
I been contacted on Telegram someone told to pay signals 300$ ....he showed to his binance profits futures signals.
Im sceptical so i ask here other what should i do ? To buy signals ? And what's the signals price then ? Will i earn 3000% monthly really with payed signals ?? Indont belive is that Easy to make money ?  Sorry i don't want to sound dumb but i really don't know and i don't want to lose for no reason just

Tnx
Sorry but I think you are already sounding dumb with your question which only you have answered yourself. How is it possible that someone can provide you with signals that are accurate enough that when you trade it, you would have profits of 3000% monthly, I mean common bro that's just bogus, it's the height of unreal and only a dumb person would fall and pay for something like trading signals that are not certain enough to actually earn you major profits.

For the case of some random dude showing up in my dm on telegram or Whatsapp showing me his past successful trade luring me to believe him that he can make me that successful is no common thing again and I usually just ignore such messages because almost all of them are mostly scam related.
1465  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: November 04, 2023, 09:04:13 PM
Arsenal looking like they would drop precious point this weekend because as it stands Newcastle is up by one goal against them, after Manchester city destroyed Bournemouth today Arsenal should have aimed at winning this game to keep the pursuit on. They premier league title race is best achieved by winning this sort of game.
Not a good start from Newcastle but after a while they began to add pressure on Arsenal, I would say the Newcastle lead is well deserved as so far they have been the best team in the game.

Newcastle won 1-0 against Arsenal and now have moved into 6th position and arent that much behind Manchester City now. While Arsenal without a point today might cost them later on in the league. This is really good news for Man City and Tottenham that Arsenal lost today. Was expecting a draw but Arsenal just couldnt get that goal.
Well for me, it was bound to happen maybe sooner or later because you don't expect them to just keep winning despite how hard we all know the premier league is and not to talk of the opponent they actually faced off this time around. Newcastle are one of the league most prolific teams interms of game play and will power to actually win a game and arsenal knew today that it isn't going to be an easy game for them.
1466  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Massive rise on bitcoin price, Is this a bullish Sign or ETF hype? on: November 04, 2023, 08:59:16 PM
Over the past two weeks we all witnessed a massive spike on btc price around 10k$ pump which I never expected though I feel this could be a trap from whales in the crypto Industry. On the other Hand The market is still waiting for the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission to give the green light to spot bitcoin ETFs, If the SEC delays or shows red signal to this ETF then I think there could be a massive drop as the market is always run according to the fundamental situation. Guys share your thought which can be expected?

While, I am not a professional analyst of Bitcoin market but I do keep close eye crypto industry and its ongoing development. Based on my observation and understanding of market dynamics, the current surge in Bitcoin price is primarily driven by the anticipation of Bitcoin's Exchange trade-able Fund (ETF) approval. Furthermore, the decision to maintain the interest rate unchanged also contributed to the positive sentiment.
So many other people out there seems to think this sudden rise is due to the fact that the Bitcoin halving is merely close and the bullish season is just by the corner and so many other speculations about the sudden rise but to whatever reason that caused the rise , it was indeed beneficial to investor who probably sell during such rise and do wait again for the dip to come so they can restock their coins back.
1467  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you like Meme Coins (Pepes project)? on: November 04, 2023, 08:55:34 PM
I personally really don't like meme coins, because there are lots of meme coins that can't last long and compete in the market, that's just for people who want to get quick profits.  because of the large number of meme coins, it also has an impact on scammers who take advantage of opportunities to create fake projects and seek one-sided profits.  lots of selling meme tokens on the web and in social media posts without any continuation of the project they built, it's really bad for the development of the meme token itself.

If you don't want meme coins, that's your choice, and no one is stopping you, but not everyone who invests in meme coins wants a quick profit. Why did I say that? I am one of those who also buys meme coins, and I always do trading activity daily so that someone can somehow make a profit. It's not big, but at least I get some profit here every day.

I will ask you, What do you think is the difference between day trading in meme coins and other cryptocurrencies? Day trading is also done to get profit if the method used and tools used to predict the price direction are the same.

I am so happy seeing the price of Pepe gaining the previous momentum it had lost for a while because the unfortunate event happens. I am so delighted that the team are able to look for a better way to keep back the previous liquidity running. I was so amazed then when the market capitalization of Pepe was among the top 10 cryptocurrency in the market. It was amazing to see a new project to gain this kind of popularity in the market. This is one of the reasons why we need to look out for good projects not minding whether it is meme project or not. The aim is to make profits from the market and we need to try our possible best to achieve that.
I guess you are right, but with so many altcoins out there, there is high possible chance that you might get your hand on the wrong one when it comes to investment, thats why so many people just choose to stay with the particular coin they are familiar with which is Bitcoin bit they forget that not all altcoins project are bad, I mean take a look at this project pepe coins which gained so much liquidity in just a little time, I can only imagine how much benefits those that bought would have enjoyed.

1469  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why are altcoins important? on: November 04, 2023, 09:43:26 AM
Bitcoin is undoubtedly the best currency in the world. An altcoin is any cryptocurrency other than Bitcoin. Soon developers began trying to improve upon Bitcoin. Some of the crypto currencies we have today have started trying to create entirely new coins for new use cases.Of the altcoins that have hit the market in the world, only a few have peaked in popularity. But the popularity of Bitcoin is beyond the reach of other altcoins. Bitcoin analysts claim that these altcoins will continue to grow in popularity along with the rise in price and popularity. At some point, altcoins will serve as the standard exchange rate alongside Bitcoin.
Everyone in the crypto space will be well aware of how Bitcoin is superior to altcoins but the fact still remains that altcoins are also important because not everyone do invest in Bitcoin as some people see altcoins as a means of gathering more profits if you hit the right one that pumps immensely but be aware that the negative effect of these altcoins is that they pump very fast along Bitcoin but dumps extremely faster and this can lead to loss of asset so there is always need for caution when acquiring one.

1471  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Sweat coin. Is this real? on: November 04, 2023, 09:19:56 AM
So am not all that into airdrop but some of my guys have been disturbing like hell to take part saying of these airdrop do actually pay so I later let me send me some airdrop link and I tried this one particular one {sweat coin} but for some time I have not done anything with this but I do get lots of notification on my telegram. And I saw an interesting message which I said I should ask the community how real is it about the message sent to me by sweat coin.
~
You haven't done anything, you received that kind of amount? Isn't is suspicious already.

I don't know the exact reason why there are some people who are doing this kind of thing in Telegram, but avoid these kind of airdrops at all costs. I mean where do these people get that kind of money to just give it to random stranger for free? If it's Elon Musk, or Jeff Bezos or any rich businessmen out there then it's possible, but I don't think that they'll be doing this as well.

Overall, we already said that this is a scam attempt, and there's no way for you to get that money for free. Well, you can try if you want if you're too curious about it as long as you will not give anything that's personal for you, but just by looking at that picture, it's pretty obvious that it isn't real.
They will not give such tokens without anything in return because for sure they will ask first to send eth or any alts to push through the transaction. Well, only newbies or those who are not careful can fall into this trap.

i really wonder how people fall for these kinds of trap

i mean maybe those really tempted by money would have all their logic thrown out of the window once they see the amount being given to them but still wouldn’t they be more careful knowing they have wallets and assets to protect? why give it carelessly even for this much big of amount? even for newbies?

no one can’t possibly think this is charity i can’t even think of a possible excuse why would they give you this much money without requiring any effort or time from you this is why being a critical thinker is a must!
You can be surprised what the human greed can do, I mean some people are just too greedy that they would do anything just to claim some free money they feel is real but there is one clear note in today world which is the fact that nothing is actually free and whenever you are flagged with some kind of free means to acquire money, it is definitely a scam project but the only thing is that some people still tend to tell themselves lies just to be in the deception that they can actually claim such free money.
1472  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Dangerous chasing losses on: November 04, 2023, 09:04:10 AM
Emotions when gambling will certainly determine the future, even people who have limits in gambling can become addicted because the defeats they get make them upset and want to chase the losses they have experienced. It is not wrong to chase the losses they have experienced, but it is unlikely that chasing losses will result in a big win. So at times like this they have lost self-control so that nothing can stop them from chasing losses.
Yes, it's true that there's nothing wrong with chasing losses and OP succeeded in getting them, but keep in mind that there is only a 1% chance of getting money back from previous losses, so don't think that OP succeeded, other people might also succeed, this is a ridiculous and risky method. Of course, people have to stop limiting themselves after experiencing defeat without having to chase defeat.

Some gamblers think that luck doesn't always first but sometimes it comes later which gives them hope and continues to gamble. Luckily, OP had it 1% chance of getting back his losses but can't be sure that it will happen the next time. What if our luck never comes that day, pretty sure we end up empty and regrets which is why it is not advisable to do this unless you have millions and don't care about money.
Perhaps, it was very important to know our limitations, and if that 1% chance it right, then no way we could think about getting back our money.
That's true mate, I won't lie, I have also tried this before, whenever I start inquiring loses, I do tend to try to win them back but that was before during my dark days in gambling and it took self discipline for me to actually stop this habit and whenever you are trying to win back your funds, every new you play will feel like a positive win till the game is actually decided and then you will know that your thoughts doesn't control the results of the game.
1473  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Most you have ever lost in one session? on: November 04, 2023, 08:52:33 AM
What is the most money you have ever lost in one session? could be land base casino or crypto casino.

mine was $200,000 on Stake.com 2 weeks ago
If there is one thing I would like to forget, it would be all the losses that I have inquired in gambling be it on a single session or accumulative play sessions. For me, remembering your loses on a single session just makes the whole idea of playing gamble as fun a little bit harder than it is because whenever you actually want to play the grief of those losses keep playing in your head.

For your own money that you have lost , the amount is truly crazy and I don't think if I ever lost that kind of amount on a single, I can be able to live with myself although maybe the you have more than this that's why you are confident in even showing or remembering it.
1474  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: how to start betting on sports? on: November 03, 2023, 10:47:58 PM
I am thinking to start betting on sports because I think it is fair then other games and there I should be able to control my hands which I could control while playing games like dice, plinko, mines, etc.
I want to know how can i start betting on sports and start making good profits, I am asking this type of question because i have no knowledge about any sports or players.
please give me some tips, strategy, resources to getting started.

do not reply with suggesting good platforms to bet on, I already know reputed platforms to bet.

EDIT: I know a little about cricket and football.
Why not start by actually getting acquainted with the particular sports you want to be betting on, let use football for example, watching it and following up with score and updates about football or should I say soccer, will definitely help boost your knowledge about the particular choice of sports you want to start betting on. But be advised that betting isn't something that one can rely on and if am opportune to teach, I will definitely choose not to teach anyone about betting.
1475  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do not share your bitcoin holdings with everyone on: November 03, 2023, 10:38:11 PM
I was listening to a news that one of the relatives of a person kidnapped him and asked him for bitcoin in ransom. This happened because that person showed his bitcoin holdings to many of his relatives and news spread among them that he has lot of money invested in crypto. Though, finally funds were recovered from that guy but he could have even lost his life in the whole scenario. Thus, you should be careful with disclosing about your bitcoin holdings to everyone.
Everyone knows that keeping your holdings a secret is probably the best way to go about it. Exposing your finance to your loved ones or people around you is probably not the best way to go about it especially when those people are just mere friend and I say this because the world is filled with wicked people and you can't exactly identify these wicked ones.
1476  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: No advertisement for btc on: November 03, 2023, 10:29:38 PM
I was just reading this post and thought crossed in my mind that there has been no advertisement for Bitcoin. It's all growth has been natural, it's quite surprising if you think about it.
The progress of Bitcoin has greatly been the major factor to it's massive adoption and awareness, people like to get involved with something that's going to be beneficial for them and that's why Bitcoin has gained so much population after the first halving and bull run that lead to people acquiring so much profits to their holding in Bitcoin. After the first halving, I would also act the same if I had a chance to actually hold some coins and this has been the reasons for almost all the massive adoption and plus the fact that Bitcoin is actually the most coolest coins ever @decentralisation
1477  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Be watchful it's not yet time on: November 03, 2023, 10:12:55 PM
That's true, when market make a positive change, many people we think Bull Run market has come, and not taking much time, Bitcoin price will dipping and affect others Alt-coins in the crypto market, which is a result of Bear market, and know one can predict exact time Bull Run we start, but as a cryptocurrency gurus have to prepare ahead of time to buy more alt-coins when market is dipping, while holding for long term investment and that the secret of cryptocurrency business.

Miscalculation on the time to sell has been a major problem because Bitcoin tend to rise and no one knows the exact moment for the bull market and this leads to so many people being misguided to actually sell when they see any small bull tend thinking it's the best to sell but all these are just temporary but you can't blame some who do sell as they use it as a strategy to buy more if they have or when they see a sudden dip.
1478  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are Altcoins Fake? on: November 03, 2023, 09:53:06 PM
One fascinating aspect of altcoins, especially the good ones, is the potential for significant profits. I'm aware that not everyone agrees with this, as there are often arguments that altcoins are just another form of 'shitcoin' meant to deceive and exploit people, with Bitcoin being the only legitimate cryptocurrency.

Altcoin to some people seam to be another version of shitcoin .there are many people out there who invested in altcoin and didn't benefits from it. These factor made them to dislike altcoin. It might be that some benefited but majority didn't benefit. There are altcoin with good potential but too much flooding of fake altcoin in the crypto space made people not to spot the difference between them. If you ask me the best altcoin to invest on I can't tell you neither, because I was also a victim. Now I chose Bitcoin over all other coin and it's my decision. Anyone has his own choice.
You won't blame anyone for choosing Bitcoin over any altcoins, because I mean the past always speak and people tend to learn from previous experience with some of these altcoins that actually turned to a shit project. The funny truth is that if you actually hit a good altcoins during the bull market you can end up packing lots of profits but there is always a risk attached because some of these altcoins dumps so far and easily that you can end up losing all your savings in a matter of hours.
1479  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Sweat coin. Is this real? on: November 03, 2023, 09:48:28 PM
I totally get what you're saying! Scammers try to trick people by claiming to offer free airdrops, but that's not how it works. Legitimate airdrops require active participation, like completing tasks or being involved with a specific project. When projects do airdrops, they make official announcements and have a claiming phase or directly send the tokens to your wallet. It's important to remember that there's no such thing as free money in crypto – your active participation is always needed to earn those bucks! Stay smart and stay safe!
There's enough profits to be milk from the system, all we need is the appropriate information. Sweat coin is an airdrop that is accumulated when a participant is able to engaged in walking, and he gains sweat coins. There are enough projects to make research about in the system, we just have to apply caution when dealing with the system. There are scams and legitimate projects in the space, it's important we're able to invest our significant capital on these legitimate projects. There are free airdrops in the market but these projects comes with certain entitle jobs. For one a to gain free airdrops, there are available tasks that must be completed to achieve this purpose.
It's true that there are some legit airdrops out there but the only problem is that how easy is it to find these so legit airdrops because with the way scam projects are everywhere, finding an airdrops that actually works will be kind of hard to identify and even if you find one how possible is it that they will actually enlisted the particular coins In any exchange for you to actually get something out of it.
1480  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Binance P2P transaction (vendors fault or app settings?) on: November 03, 2023, 06:20:00 AM

Unless this is the case, your guy made use of the USD option on the P2P market, which will be after trading his coins to USD instead of USD, and since the P2P allows you to choose whose account you want to receive your money, your friend might have used his Nigeria account to receive the USD transfer, which before the money drops into his account will be converted using the CBN exchange rate, which is far lower than what we trade our USDT with.

Yeah, I think this might be the possible cause for the price reduction as you stated, because the actual bank added to his p2p trade was the popular Nigerian mobile bank
(Opay) which is more preferable since the transactions are  received in split second. So the whole problem was due to the CBN rate for dollar ? So the vendor actually sent through what means if I may ask, because I taught he is supposed to send through his own account or is it because he sent USD so there's need for CBN exchange rate
