Wtf is this a 'sherlock Holmes convention'? Get a life, you, fucking troll scum...

Actually, I check the lending section frequently as I occassionally lend out money, and happened to see the other thread as well.

If you'd have been on the forums a bit longer you would see why everyone finds this suspicious, there have been many many people that have ran off with thousands of BTC they scammed from lenders on this forum (shakaru, hell even pirate), and guess how they did it? By taking out and paying back small loans/faking loans & then asking for bigger loans, using the smaller repaid loans as "rep" for the bigger ones.

I'm sure people would appreciate it if you posted the txid's and addresses for the loans & repayments on this thread, as proof that it isn't a fake loan & also so that LionHeart will get a scammer tag if he scams you and doesn't repay.

Here's a nice read as well:

I predict a temporary network difficulty drop caused by power outages due to hurricane Sandy.
1463  Economy / Lending / Re: Wtb 17 BTC and Borrow 7 (Closed) on: October 29, 2012, 01:08:06 PM
Thats pretty strange how the same lender has lent to LionHeart in all of his loan requests.

Problem is I need a non-tor exit point somewhere for bitcointalk.org. Any other ideas on how to post to bitcointalk?

If I remember correctly, only signing up using TOR is banned, you can actually login and post using TOR no problem.

You would most likely have to be willing to provide ID for the lender at the very least. Is this something you'd be willing to do?

But he has to pay for DNS and the server. Can these payments be tracked?

He paid for the VPS using BTC.

New logo is better IMO

What's to stop the hacker from spoofing the DNS record for tormail, SR, etc and sending your to another server.

This is exactly what I was going to do if he gave us (or I managed to get) access to his server. He's using Linux so this doesn't apply, but some commonly installed Windows applications check for updates without forcing the use of https. It isn't too hard to trick the software into running your own "update" which would give you pretty much unrestricted access to do whatever you like on the victims machine.
1470  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Blockchain.info acount hacked while using yubikey.... on: October 28, 2012, 01:49:04 PM
Made new acount/wallet. No more dropbox backup for me.

If you want to help me and give me some BTC to help me getting the 101btc again: 1FZb3GDLTstYECV9QKmaTJh3xPRZfRfuxz any donation is very appreciated Smiley.

Make sure you use Google Authenticator or an actual YubiKey and not an MtGox one, until Blockchain.info support it correctly.

Mr Treacheroso Von Ponzi is probably running this lottery as well as this scam.

His name is Mr Treacheroso Von Pahnzi and I do not believe that this is a scam. Why would someone tell lies on the internet to try and fool people out of money? That would bring bad karma, even dank knows that.

I'm using the VPS that hosts the page as a proxy (through tor) to access bitcointalk because bitcointalk disallows tor ips.

Darn! I was just about to send you a PM with a transparent gif image in it to record your IP, in the off-chance you were browsing the forums without TOR or a proxy.

Matthew?
1476  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Blockchain.info acount hacked while using yubikey.... on: October 27, 2012, 02:51:48 PM
I tried out my MtGox YubiKey on the blockchain wallet service, and I noticed the OTP's that it generates are REUSABLE. It seems Blockchain.info is only looking at the first few letters of the OTP, as they are static, you can actually change the end of the OTP and the website will still accept it.

Doesn't sound secure at all to me and is definitely something that needs to be addressed. This is not 2-factor authentication.

Posting the hacker's address might be a good idea, you never know what clues the hacker may have left behind.
1479  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: allow Sr and Hero member's to whitelist newbie member's on: October 17, 2012, 12:41:56 PM
only allow established hero member's to whitelist someone

We'd have a fuck ton of Atlas sockpuppets if that rule was here a few months ago.

Just browse for 4 hrs and make the required number of posts.
1480  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: I want to turn $10,000 in to BTC. on: October 17, 2012, 08:58:27 AM
Do I need a bank account or ID with tangibles bank deposits or how does that work?

I'm pretty sure you don't need either. You can just do a cash deposit at any of the banks he uses.
