1461  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: WOMAN WHO CREATED A FAKE BITCOIN STILL ON THE RUN. WILL THE POLICE GET HER? on: November 26, 2020, 07:50:38 PM
As far as I understand, OneCoin is an ordinary token and has nothing to do with Bitcoin.  I was attracted by the title of the topic about fake bitcoin, it turned out that the title of the topic simply did not match the content.
As far as this scam is concerned, of course the $ 4 billion raised is too huge.  It is also strange that no one heard about the ICO or IEO for this fraudulent project and did not know about such a token.

The OP should change the title thread as we are talking a scam alt here, in the name of OneCoin.

I found this old thread - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=200177.0 . Don't know if this is what we are taking about here.
But checking the site mentioned in OP's video - http://onecoin.eu/. You will get a red warning of suspected phishing site ahead. So at least, that has been taken cared of, maybe a long time ago already.

Other project named onecoin, but this is not the original scam onecoin. Don't know why the dev used the onecoin here, but later on, they changed to OC Protocol.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=200177.0 - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2313497.0

I think this woman has a lot of help maybe from authorities also why up until now, she's not in the custody of police.

Is your roadmap on your website updated? Have you finished your presale according to your timeline? Also, from your list of partners, I saw Ferrum network. What exactly is the role of Ferrum to this project?
1463  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: defi exch trading vs normal exch trading on: November 25, 2020, 10:54:04 PM
With centralized exchange, users trust the people behind a business to manage funds and execute on services. With defi, users trust that the technology will function to execute on services being offered. defi exchanges are young, but volumes inspiring a lot! so truly to say, defi exchanges will lead the market in nearest future..

This is yet to be seen, if indeed DeFi exchanges will dominate the market. There are pros and cons between using DeFi and Centralized exchanges, now it is up to the user's preference how he will use both. But I believe, the existence of both platforms is necessary to have healthy crypto trading market. And right now, a lot of traders are still in preference of centralized exchanges, for one, because of the liquidity of most alts.
1464  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][THOU] THOU FINANCE | HIGH APY YIELD FARMING UPTO 1200% on: November 25, 2020, 08:10:47 PM
Care to share the reason behind this? There used to be a scam accusation against this project, which you later defended and vouched. If they were indeed suspicious and the accusation is justified, then shouldn't you explain the recent issue so the others can be warned?
1. Lack of Activity in their TG Group
2. Project Can't Handle the Expenses due to it's value Going Down.

Aside from that, there's nothing more I can add, within the past month I have seen their efforts trying to build the project. But sadly they really lack of marketing and advertising strategy, that's one of the reasons why users lost interest on the Project.
Already gave the Dev some advice but he is eager to believe in his team, and there's nothing I can do about it.

...explain the recent issue so the others can be warned?
there wasn't any recent issue afaik. I just said what I believe is necessary, if THOU goes into the downside of falling apart (speaking to its value) then there's nothing I can give to them or to the users. End Contract Besides I was only hired to be a MOD, I have nothing to do with the lack of Activity it is them who also lack on giving the announcements.

Seems that this yield farming up to 1200% will not materialize if the value continues to decline. And this early, they are showing inactivity? I don't think that's a good sign for a strong project. High likely that this project will be shelved very soon and that high APY will not be received by those holders.

And checking the current liquidity in Uniswap, relatively small. Will check this after a week and let's see how much they will have...

1465  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Best way for Hodlers to sell their BTC's at new ATH's? on: November 24, 2020, 10:17:32 PM
There are a few decentralized exchanges where you could sell off a few  of your BTC without having to worry about them getting hijacked

1. https://bisq.network
2. https://localcryptos.com
3. https://hodlhodl.com

But there's a problem
- Decentralized P2p exchanges - No worries about your money getting Hijacked but no volume liquidity but it's possible to sell all the 1000 BTC over time.
- Centralized exchanges - Great volume Liquidity but lots of risks on your money getting hijacked

I would go with p2p marketplaces and then keep selling off my BTC little by little until I finish it up all rather than risk some of it getting locked up.

Or if you want good liquidity, use several reputable centralized exchanges. Don't focus on one but even the top 10 crypto exchanges is pretty safe for me. But check their KYC requirements as well. Some of them don't require KYC if you will have daily 2-3 btc withdrawal limit. So if you will do that everyday, guess you will be safe. Not only 1 exchange but several of them. Even in kucoin, you can make several accounts but don't abuse their referral features so you will not get in trouble. What I am saying here, is that if you can't do that in DEX because of some limitations, why not use reputable centralized exchanges. Just make sure you are not violating their ToS.
1466  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Ideaology - Turning Bright Ideas into Awesome Crowdfunding on: November 24, 2020, 08:12:47 PM
What is the initial token price?

IEO Round 1 - $0.07
IEO Round 2 - $0.09

What is the minimum for invest?

There is no limit

Why do you choose p2pb2b for exchange?

Among manny other similiar exchanges we choose P2PB2B for our beggining because of their professional and start-up friendly approach to early phase project.

Are you sure about this decision? They don't have good reputation here in the forum, the reason why they couldn't even run their own sig campaign.

If you want to take a look here - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5203715.0 and you can also check the profile of p2pb2b - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=trust;u=2719262

They did not succeed in promoting their exchange here in the forum so I don't know if this will affect your IEO performance. Weigh your options.
1467  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Best trusted solid exchangers I will nominate them on: November 23, 2020, 11:19:07 PM
Although Kraken and Poloniex used to be very influential exchanges in new projects and the Crypto community. But at the moment, due to apathy in feature development and little investment in marketing, only Binance, Huobi Global, and Coinbase are the top exchanges right now.
In my opinion, the collapse of Poloniex and Kraken also really doesn't have too much of an impact on the Crypto market. Since the volume and assets of Kraken and Poloniex's hot wallets are pretty low compared to top exchanges, I don't overestimate these exchanges. Undecided

The charm of Polo among crypto users seemed to fade away already. I was using this exchange before, even storing some of my btc but when they changed management, I feel I was not comfortable anymore. And now, I do prefer with Binance, you don't even have to undergo the KYC requirements if you are not really of big trader, which is really helpful to small traders like me. Their fees are also very competitive with very good liquidity. So don't know where the OP get the notion that if polo and kraken will go down, others will follow. Not gonna happen.
1468  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Ripple (XRP) Breaking out on: November 23, 2020, 09:56:04 PM
Is this due to Ripple moving its headquarters?
No.
That's something that I'm not thinking of. Just go with the official news about XRP and you'll get an idea what it is all about. More likely of the Flare networks.
There’s a lot of good news on-going with XRP and the time has come for XRP to join the bull trend as well so I think the price will continue to move up until the end of this uptrend so I’m not selling my holdings yet because I want to see more and we might be able to end this year with a great price, so keep watching the market because we’re near to see $.6 with XRP.

The current performance of XRP is really impressive. If we are lucky, we may be seeing $1 before this year ends. I know, it is still a long shot but very possible to happen. And the XRP team is continuously earning partnerships with different institutions. I like XRP when you talk about the fees in their network and how fast your transaction can go thru. Though some are not really in favour of this coin because it is centralized but this coin is actually a good alternative payment option.
1469  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Pi network - KYC is needed to use it! on: November 23, 2020, 08:50:14 PM
May be the Pi team required KYC because of the multitude of people mining the coin. So many mine with all their mobile so to reduce that team now required KYC
Or it's just the old "request KYC -> steal coins" strat a lot of platforms abused back when KYC was freshly introduced and nobody knew about it. If you request everyone a KYC all of a sudden, they will not expect it and so there will be a lot of people who would rather lose their mined coins than complete such stupid forms. Hence, all that money (considering it's a centralized coin as KYC is mandatory to withdraw) goes just straight into Pi founder's wallet. The other way around is just requesting KYC and selling the info later on. Personal information from a large database of users is quite expensive.

Either way, it is on the team's advantage about implementing this KYC. They should have informed this requirement at the start or in the early stages of their development, so people will have the chance to decide whether to continue or not. From their site, it is decentralized but don't know what kind of decentralization they are talking about here if they are now asking KYC? People use their phones to mine so even if they use 2  or 3 phones, still they are using different phones. This kind of move from the team will be the start of losing trust on this project.

1470  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bring back the Bitcoin FUN during this ATH period :-> on: November 22, 2020, 09:37:28 PM
I could still recall those days where there are lots of exciting games and giveaways here in the forum. Those were the days when most of us are motivated not just because of the ATH but because of people who are sharing their blessings while everyone is enjoying themselves at the same time. I'm hoping that we could still experience those things again in the coming days.

I think most people nowadays that are having their good numbers in crypto portfolio won't give freely their coins. First, we are still in pandemic crisis and everyone wants to keep their funds within themselves. Second, the price of btc is projected to be valuable in the coming years. So they will keep their btc as much as they can and won't share freely. Maybe we will see good promos and games in casinos but for an individual holder, I don't think he will be willing to share his btc for nothing.
1471  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: When will the current Bull run stop on: November 22, 2020, 06:09:40 PM
Are you saying its too late to start buying bitcoin? I think you are wrong because the bullish trend is just getting started, what makes people lose money in last bullrun is because of greediness, the market never crashed instantly like those pump and dump projects, it goes down bit by bit and greed people still failed to pull out what they can
I don't think it's just getting started, it could sell off anytime soon as the Chinese New Year in the European countries is approaching. As in previous years, when there were occasions to welcome the new year or Christmas, the Crypto Market was immersed in a sea of blood. So Bitcoin will only hover around $ 18k5 - $ 19k5 in the coming days, but at the end of the year there will be a strong correction. If the selling is too strong, it could send Bitcoin into downtrend again.

If you are a holder, you need to prepare yourself to these 2 scenarios. If you want to assure that you will not be losing, sell some part while you are still in positive profits. And some of your portfolio, you will be taking risk and be ready whatever may happen to btc market. You can't always get what you want, at least optimize the opportunity on hand and not end up losing huge. As no one can predict the exact things that will happen in the market, you need to safeguard your portfolio. Speculations of the so-called experts are not reliable, just follow your instincts when it comes to executing your final decision.
1472  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][DEFI & CEFI] Psyche.Cash | The Future of DeFi | Private sale on: November 22, 2020, 10:14:14 AM
they have extraordinary features and besides that they also prioritize security in transactions, as we know they plan to register on two exchanges in the second week namely the Lattoken and Emirex exchanges, I think these two exchanges are not that interesting, why don't we choose top exchange?
To be listed on the top exchange it require large funds, in the early stages of Psyche on the two exchanges I think it is only the initial stage, but hopefully they will prepare to enter the top exchange

Upon listing this token to exchanges, what are the odds that those private investors will sell below that target price of $1? Since they bought it at maybe 20-25cents, so even selling at 80-90cents will give give them good profit. Is there some kind of control how they can prevent users from selling below their target price?
1473  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What do you think about the price of Bitcoin now? Take profit or greed? on: November 21, 2020, 09:54:47 PM
Why would I choose to do one when I can do both? I would like to get profit from it but at the same time, I want to continue holding my bitcoin and crypto currencies. It is not that I am greedy but I needed the money for my family, for my future family and to also help the people that needed them. Money is one of the problems my family has as I grow up that is the reason why when I will be starting my own, I don't want to have a problem with money.

It really depends on your priorities in life and how you strategize to earn more from this market. We should consider that every one here has different upbringing and background, and so yes, we only need respect to have harmonious relationship with others. And in terms of investments, it is your own self that is responsible with your own money. Because no one else will have the compassion to make sure that you are in the right track but yourself.
1474  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Altcoin with BTC pair is at the bottom on: November 21, 2020, 08:00:41 PM
Good chance if you believe in altcoins and buy them at current prices,
I am sure the next few months are months for altcoins, we will see a rise in altcoins to 10x!

maybe 10x or more for good altcoins, not for shitcoins my friend
by the way to choose the right altcoins isn't easy, except we buy some TOP altcoins in the market,
but in my opinion its hard for TOP altcoins to increase about 10x in the near time

Choosing alt is really quite difficult. So if you do want to diversify your portfolio and make sure that you are not investing on a shit coin, take a look at top alts with real purpose. I can give an example, XRP, they are now bullish and I can say, they have real use case being a good payment option by merchants and institutions. However, I am not giving piece of advice here, just giving an example that you may check into. As a serious investor, you have to do your own homework in assessing those alts to buy, and not relying from someone else's suggestion.
1475  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Another mistake in Bitcoin fees? on: November 21, 2020, 10:32:43 AM
i tried to go through the input/outputs but couldn't make any solid conclusion. i think the "tumbling script gone wrong" is a pretty good guess though.

I'm wondering if setting high fees on purpose would be a good way to actually tumble funds. After all you can still follow the fee to the miner, right?

So no one here yet has the solid conclusion about what happened to this transaction? Can we trace the address to exchange wallet and identify which exchange is the culprit? Because when I first read the OP, what I thought was the first speculation of pooya that this might be intentional, for whatever reason. And so, in my mind, this is not a mistake.
1476  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Altcoins will reach all time high on 2021 on: November 20, 2020, 11:09:38 PM
The next pump for altcoin will be even bigger than 2017's pump. Bitcoin was getting a very big pump caused by it has a very strong fundamental started from bitcoin being used by a lot of big name as investment. This is definitely affecting the bitcoin.
Altcoin could have a very big pump in the future. I believe if it will be more than what it was before. The golden time for altcoin will come. The defi trend is not so strong as it was before.
It's better to buy the promising coins that have fully working product.

That is the magic word here, coins that have fully working product. Look for projects that have actual use case and as much as possible with high number of users. Because the life of a particular project depends on how they are attracting users to utilize their platfom. Without their customers, the platform will not generate income. So look for coins or tokens that are heavily used by their respective customers. It is better if their use case is dedicated to be used in every day living of a regular crypto user, this will make a good adoption in the crypto industry.
1477  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Emporium.Finance CEFI - Peer-to-Peer Marketplace and DeFi Liquidity Mining on: November 20, 2020, 08:50:31 PM
The Liquidity Mining Program will only have 8 weeks of time and a total of 150,960 will be shared and every week will be split 12,580 / week, quite a bit isn't it, and this will make them very valuable and like mining diamonds, so it's time to grab chance early

And since this project is already established way back before DeFi hype, this I believe maybe one of the strong DeFi projects out there. But I noticed, their website is not secure. They need to fix it, maybe purchase an SSL certificate, if they don't have yet. Because we are talking financial project here. Just my suggestion here.
1478  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [PreANN][POW][NG]Decentrailized Application Engine based on Blockchain Ecosystem on: November 20, 2020, 07:33:36 PM
Hello,

This project seems to be very innovative.  I am not sure what is going on with a swap and all that, and that would color my decision too.  I see you saying it is not a revival, fine. But even if it was the technology is very appealing.  I just hope it isn't a scam like the one person thinks it is.  Good Luck!!

Cheers,
Waya

And is the dev running solo here? As he inherited this project from old devs, does he have a team to push thru this project? Because if he is alone in this development, the chance of getting burnt out is high, leading to potential abandonment again of the project. I hope he can really implement his new goals here before thinking of dumping his coins once it is doing good in the market. We can't remove that kind of thought, because almost everybody is doing that kind of strategy.
1479  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bitox.io new decentralized exchange on: November 19, 2020, 08:49:31 PM
@OP, make your website link at least clickable - https://bitox.io/

Since the listing is still free on your platform, the possibility of listing crap tokens is high. This is the reason why most DEXs are dying because of too much crap tokens that are dying on their platform once the pump and dump is over. So how are you going to tackle this common problem in your Dex?

1480  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: ✅🔥[ANN] [ICO] JACS - Internet 3.0 Decentralized Infrastructure 🔥✅ on: November 19, 2020, 07:51:37 PM
Admin shared in the group that the token is listed on Etherdelta and Bitskrix but there is no order yet on etherdelta. No liquidity on both exchange but its a good way to start up, attract traders and investors. The team is keeping me impressed somehow   https://app.bitskrix.com/exchange/?market=JACS_USD

Good to see that the token is already listed on the exchanges even before the ICO finish. I am sure once the ICO is finished, the trading will start on these two exchanges and also it will be listed on many more exchanges in coming days.  Smiley

Etherdelta is almost dying and the liquidity is almost nonexistent these days. I hope to see Jacs in more popular platforms once ICO is over and I guess we will.

I see many updates and interesting articles in the project's medium page. One of the last is about JACS: NSAP Structure, pretty interesting to read as for me Smiley

The team is pretty active. I hope they will be active even after ICO. Because most blockchain projects subside their activity once crowdsourcing is over.
