And thanks hilarious. And nothing wrong with playing white knight. I'm sure you have also played that roll at one point Rawted I'm afraid to counter the white knight accusation I will have to request that you now show me your tits or get back in the kitchen or something .

Bitstamp is now processing withdrawals again. I expect even Gox will be processing withdrawals soon. Bitcoin protocol unchanged. "Soon" .

The people I traded with didn't know it was going to explode either, they just took a risk
I wonder what became of jercos, you ever had a chance to take him out for a pizza? Probably should be the other way round . If I was you I'd sell or make my own Pizza and try sell or raffle it on here haha. I'm sure you'd get a lot of interest.

The guy was asking for help creating a vanity address using "1Enjoy." That's the same as the spamming address.
Oh haha. I thought people were just being cyber detectives and assuming that he was the guy because of his name . Has anyone asked him? kodiak1120 did as the question. Short answer: "No, I'm not the one spamming". In order to help out the detectives here on the forum: If you look at my question https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=301068.100 I was asking for 1En Joy as my username is En Joy This. If I was to be such an obvious spammer I would rather have chosen for the following two messages: (1) 1EnJoy (2) 1This Furthermore it would be kinda stupid to name myself after the spamming message sent out to the bitcoinworld, wouldn't it? And last but not least, I which I was the spammer as some of you detectives saw the origin of the satoshi's is a wallet which held 217+ btc and, sadly for me, I don't hold that many coins. BTW it supprised me it took this long before THE question was asked. Cheers all But that's what you would say . Thanks for the clarification.

Can someone explain in plain simple English why Bitcoin and Litcoin prices so closely tied? Just curious. Thanks.
Because Litecoin is pegged to Bitcoin.

This idea is lost on me. This is the crap that was done back when Myspace was the big social network. Airbrushed photos with random cursive or block text trying to be artsy and using too many PS filters.
I love the idea that you want to get involved and spread the word (whether for personal gain or not), however this isn't the way to do it. Educate yourself on Bitcoin, and become a better speaker. The community is clamoring for an attractive female spokesperson that knows her shit. Team up with Andreas Antonopolous and conquer the world.
My 2 cents, anyways.
Bitcoin can be promoted in many ways, this is just one of them. I don't think she is overly knowledgeable or concerned about the technical aspects, and that stuff can't be learnt over night. I'd just leave the talking to the experts and promote BTC in what way you can. And I don't see why a female has to be an 'attractive' speaker, I never said they 'had' to be. Don't put words in my mouth simply because you want to play white knight. This does nothing to promote the Bitcoin protocol itself. I merely offered an alternative path to think about that would. Maybe not, but you said "attractive female spokesperson" like their 'attractiveness' matters. Maybe we need more attractive males since Andreas and Gavin aren't exactly Brad Pitts. And if I'm playing the 'white knight' then you're playing the chauvinistic one. The Bitcoin protocol is not the only benefit of Bitcoin that must be promoted, and when it is I'd leave that up to the experts.

Seems you've run out of Feathercoins. Any idea when they'll be back? Did you guys sell many Maxcoins? Noticed they were at £20 near launch now they're only £6 . They're £2.58 now but they were £1-ish the other day. You'd be foolish to buy into these hyped coins straight away as they always bomb soon after.

It's kind of funny to read these old posts and see how people threw bitcoins at eachother. lol You do realize that you just necro'ed the first post of the guy who bought the famous 10K BTC pizza? https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=137I thought somebody had hacked his account at first in a begging attempt, then saw the date . Holy shit, didn't realize it was him! Seems like the infamous buyer of the most expensive pizza of all time has joined us in the thread!^^ Haha. I thought that's why you had bumped it. At the time, Gavin had a bitcoin 'faucet' that gave out bitcoins for free, and a few people were trading them for less than a cent each, but nothing serious. You can probably find all the old posts on this forum still. I was learning OpenCL programming and mining bitcoins with a video card so the pizza was a good deal for me. I couldn't have known that my pizza trade would end up being such a big deal, or that so many others would become interested in bitcoin and thus drive the value up. The people I traded with didn't know it was going to explode either, they just took a risk - spending their 'real' money to buy some guy pizza in exchange for some internet Monopoly money.
Laszlo
Do you know what the guy you bought the pizza did with the coins? Haven't you had a load of messages or media requests? Why did you choose to stop by now after all this time?

I've got someone, but we don't celebrate V Day too much. We'll be getting a bottle of wine, make dinner and watch House of Card (Season 2). No need to be extravagant with your love one day a year if you're not for the 364 other days.
Is it out now?

I got excited at first, but I guess gyft is better than nothing.

I don't think it's possible, but it would be a good feature. It'd also be great if we could see threads others have started. Maybe suggest it for the new forum.

Why do govt.s require to regulate BTC???
honestly...can't we self regulate...or maybe can we have faith in a regulatory algorithm that prevents....money laundering???
Kindly answer...
They'll want their cut. If it's down to most people they wont willingly give them their share.

Perhaps they might be able to regulate exchanges that convert bitcoin to fiat or which deal with financial instruments (options, futures, etc.), but it is hard to see them regulating bitcoin itself.
That's how they'll do it.

The BBC has had a few fairly positive articles out the last few weeks. Shames this had to come so soon after all the other recent trouble. I'm calling shenanigans on this so called theft though.

I'm sure many on here can guess who those individuals are....
Standard Bank of South Africa is currently looking to integrate bitcoin into their banking network. Its the greatest news for the bitcoin community but i'm afraid someone have just blown that chance up. This wild swing market full of pigs will scare the executives away when they're evaluating bitcoin.
I was hoping our community would have seen a bigger picture and not be manipulated so easily.
This is call a correction, welcome to finance. Also bitcoin is about being YOUR OWN bank, we don't bankers here. The sad thing is that half of these newbs getting involved seem to want to be. They don't care about Bitcoin; they just want to get rich quick, and then they'll probably act like rich bankers and blow it all on drugs and shit. That is why I love when it drops big like this, keeps the real believers and kicks out the get rich scheme kiddies. Yeah, but there's always a constant wave of them. Each time a batch gets scared off another set comes rolling on in and the process repeats. Sick of their whining and crying and FUD-spreading when their coins haven't magically doubled within a month and they start panicking when the price drops a bit.

Updated and added new campaigns. Let me know if I missed anything.
You missed Coinbet, although it's not currently open to new entrants for the time being but neither is Bit77. Maybe put a little note next to the ones that are still active but closed to new participants to avoid confusion. Thanks for hardwork.Useful thread.

Ebay. But most likely you will get scammed.
It's usually the other way round. If you get scammed you just file a claim with PP and you'll get your money back.
