14741  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is it possible to have a price correction in cryptocurrency... on: October 23, 2017, 08:30:04 AM
Yes. Now bitcoin has a lot of bubbles in it. We still have to remember a few years ago, in almost a short period of time, bitcoin from 8000 dollars to 1000 dollars. The loss of other coins is even scarier. Let's be more rational to invest in bitcoin!

I do not know where you found that information, but BTC has never reached the price of 8000$ and then drop to 1000$.The highest price was achieved a few days when BTC crossed mark of 6000$.

Price correction is something quite normal in the world of cryptocurrency and happens constantly,in that way the market works. Is it possible that some big crash happens in future? It should always be taken into consideration that invest in BTC is very risky, but it can also be very profitable. If you have some money on the side and you can afford a long-term investment BTC is definitely worth the invest.
14742  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin $250000 by 2020 if the seven year trend continues on: October 22, 2017, 03:46:51 PM
It would be really wonderful that something like this happens because there would be a lot of people who will become rich if they have 1 BTC or even less depending in which part of world they live.Considering nature of BTC I would never say that even this prediction is impossible by 2020,but I would be more moderate in such prediction. Can price of BTC go up around 80k $ per year to achieve such a prognosis? It is very difficult in the opinion of many users surely. If demand stay high and we see positive movements in next years, maybe after seven years and two more halving we can expect something close to this price.
14743  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Should I buy a Trezor or Nano S? on: October 22, 2017, 01:31:11 PM
I have a Nano and just got two Ledger Nano S.

Go with a Ledger Nano S you won't regret it.

I'm thinking of buying hardware wallet and the choice is naturally between Trezor and Ledger Nano S.How much I can see the difference is in design and price. As far as designs are concerned, both of them are quite okay for me and the only thing that makes me the difference is price which is on the side of Ledger.I see there is option for promo code in Ledger page for a discount, was there anything like that lately?

14744  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Import vs sweep private key in Electrum on: October 22, 2017, 01:07:48 PM
What is the difference between importing and sweeping the keys?

Just to add something important in case you want to import your address/private keys in Electrum. If some of address you import in Electrum have large number of inputs then you will face the problem when you try to spend that coins,Electrum just freeze in that case.Even import private keys is free, you may encounter this problem and also that address is not secured with seed.In general it is better to use sweep option, you need to pay transaction fee but you can send coins from all addresses at once to new generated address wich will be secured with seed.
14745  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are You in Favor to Register Your BTC Address to Trace Transaction and Tax??? on: October 22, 2017, 12:52:11 PM
I can agree with everyone who say that question by OP have no sense and that something like that would never worked.Using only one address is completely the opposite what represents BTC and it would be like we have account in normal bank.Only way government can track BTC users to collect tax is to force all exchanges that collect users data and give them that data back once a year.So if you are verified user who buy/sell BTC on exchange you will pay tax.Question is do we pay tax just to own BTC or in case we sell it for fiat?
14746  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2017-10-20] CCN - Bitcoin Price Nears $10,000 in Zimbabwe Due to a Lack of Cash on: October 22, 2017, 12:28:31 PM
I went through Zimbabwe a while ago for work in Africa and I did not see anyone accepting bitcoins as a payment option. I

used the South African Rand ZAR in Zimbabwe that I exchanged on the airport in South Africa. I think these people will store

their wealth in any other currency other than their own local currency {Zim Dollar}

Bitcoin might be their best bet for a store of value at the moment, because it is not depreciating in value like most of the

other fiat currencies.  Wink

The US Dollar is not as volatile as Bitcoin, so it might be better suited for local merchants as a currency.  Huh

It is possible that this is the beginning of interests for BTC in Zimbabwe,I am not surprised that you not see any store/service accepting BTC because in much more developed countries it is not easy to find someone to accept BTC.Africa is on this point far behind all other countries, only one BTC ATM all over the continent if the data is correct on this page : https://coinatmradar.com/countries/

American Dollar does not solve their problem since it is not their currency(they can not print US dollar) and they import 10 million $ every week, the question is how long it will work. For ordinary people that certainly does not work and they are turning to BTC.

14747  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Some motivational stuff - wealth of a 23yo cryptotrader on: October 21, 2017, 03:36:12 PM
Here is a boy (Livanelli) from the Netherlands who started trading in 2015
The video says it all.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FZ81wb-7jZA

Enjoy this little segment of a cryptotrader.

I'm not sure this story is true or it's just a promotion for a particular company(as one comment on YT say)but trading is something which can be very profitable if a person invest time, knowledge and money and if you really decide that you want to succeed in that.It is true that this is not for everyone and that few people succeed to be successful in it.It is important to not invest more than you are willing to lose and you should start with small stakes.
14748  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: TRANSACTIONS on: October 21, 2017, 01:36:24 PM
Hi, I bought some bitcoins last year but never did anything with them. I can now navigate to the address of the transaction on [Suspicious link removed] and see the transaction written out. But what do I do now? I can't seem to send the bitcoin to any wallet i have created. I see a request payment tab or a donate button tab. Can anyone help?

When you bought BTC where you sent them,in which wallet you keep them now?If you have access to this wallet it should not be a problem to send that coins at any address/wallet you want.Give us a little more information but, without any link(I see you post something what is removed)so we can help you and solve any problem you have.
14749  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The reason why I hate BITCOIN on: October 21, 2017, 11:38:35 AM
I think we live in a world where everyone has the right to their own opinion, and if someone does not like BTC and prefers altcoins I can understand that.
There is always some nice and interesting altcoins on market which provide the opportunity for earnings. But the only thing that bothers OP is just that he is not early investor and thinking that by promoting BTC just fill their pockets.

I think things should be looked from another angle also. Some people invest 5,6,7 year ago and they are early investors-but if we invest today in next 5-10 years we will be in some way early investors for them just because we invest at 4000$ or 6000$ and BTC could worth xx time more then today.
14750  Economy / Speculation / Re: bitcoin can drop 2000$ before end of this year on: October 21, 2017, 09:14:01 AM
In the world of cryptocurrency and BTC everything is possible, who could predicted at the beginning of this year or just exactly one year ago that today price of one BTC would be over 6000$.Some dreamed about that, but it seemed pretty unrealistic at that time.Even today we see many speculation and prediction for next 6 months or year period,20k by the end of next year-why not?

Can BTC drop to 2000$ this year or in future?Chances for that always exists, because the market can move in both directions up or down. What should happen to such a scenario become reality it is a difficult question, but would have to be something really bad.On the other hand it would be a great opportunity for some to buy cheap BTC.
14751  Economy / Speculation / Re: Historical day bitcoin price 6000 $ on: October 21, 2017, 08:43:39 AM
I have to admit I'm surprised that that we've hit 6000$ and that price is stay above this level from yesterday.I think it just shows how much interest is in this moment for BTC, probably caused with upcoming hard-forks and potential profits that come with it.Lately we have many historical moments, less than a year ago we welcomed BTC at 1000$ and now we have this price.I think that next great moment will be at 10000$,I believe that it is not a question of whether this will happen, but when it will happen.
14752  Bitcoin / Press / [2017-10-20] CCN - Bitcoin Price Nears $10,000 in Zimbabwe Due to a Lack of Cash on: October 21, 2017, 08:22:18 AM
Bitcoin Price Nears $10,000 in Zimbabwe Due to a Lack of Cash in the Country

According to TheNational.ae, bitcoin adoption in Zimbabwe is seemingly skyrocketing as the country’s economic situation looks bleak. So much so, that one bitcoin is trading at nearly $10,000 on the Golix.io exchange, while the global average is, at press time, of $5,642.00.

According to a local trader, bitcoin isn’t just being bought by individuals, but by businesses with bills to pay. The country adopted the U.S. dollar back in 2009 as its fiat currency, as the Zimbabwean dollar had lost nearly all its value.

https://www.cryptocoinsnews.com/bitcoin-trading-at-nearly-10000-in-zimbabwe-due-to-a-lack-of-cash-in-the-country/

This is a very interesting story considering recent history of Zimbabwe, especially from a financial point of view.Because of the wrong decision made in 2000 country agriculture collapsed and banks stay without money which lead to print of Zimbabwe dollar and that is caused hyperinflation. After that they decide to replace their currency with US $ but it work just for some time. The question is, can BTC become solution for them long-term?

14754  Economy / Speculation / Re: Now That We're Above $5000, how long until we hit $10,000 BTC on: October 20, 2017, 10:21:46 AM
I expect that BTC price can easily be doubled in 2018 based on this year price increase from 1000$ at the beginning of this year to these day where we have 5000-5800$ despite one hard fork who has passed, and more hard forks to come. Some may say this price increase have something with new created bitcoin cash or new bitcoin gold, maybe there is a little truth because people buy more BTC to profit with new coins. But the reasons are much more than that,BTC is become more interesting to big players and there is much more interest from governments to regulate cryptocurrency and this is help to wider adaptation.

As we can see price is easy moving up/down 1000$ in just a few days so to hit 10000$ is not so hard task.Things will be much clearer after hard fork and
and if all goes well rise of BTC to 10k can start.
14755  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Best Online Wallet on: October 20, 2017, 09:12:16 AM
I want to use an online wallet, which one is the most secure and reliable option for me?
Is there any that supports bitcoin and also altcoin like eth and litecoin etc.

If you want to use online wallet try https://blockchain.info/wallet/#/ just because it is one of the oldest and most trusted online wallet. It support Bitcoin and and from recently Ethereum.I use this wallet just for short time and I still have account there, have no complaints and everything is working right.

What it is important that you use unique password when creating your account and to take all the security measures available, online wallets are most vulnerable to hacking. Therefore, if you want to keep your coins safe it is better to use desktop or hardware wallet.
14756  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is it worth moving 1/2 a Bitcoin for the hard-fork? on: October 20, 2017, 08:56:00 AM
You have no choice, because your current wallet does not support it. Let's say for one moment Bitcoin gold become very popular and the price increase to the same level where BTC are now. <more or less $5500> Your decision to move the 0.5BTC will then gain you about $2700 <minus fees> in the near future or even a lot more, if it goes to $20 000 or $50 000.

There should only be one option, which is to move the coins to a storage option where you can get the free Bitcoin Gold.

The thing is quite clear,if you want to claim BTG after fork you need to move your BTC to wallet where you can control your private keys, and then at any moment you can claim BTG and keep safe your BTC.I think that easiest way is to download Electrum desktop wallet and just send your BTC there.

I doubt that price of BTG can reach big price, just look how is BCH doing now-for me it is the same thing, just another altcoin on market. But it is free money and why not take it.To move BTC to wallet where you can control private keys and pay few $ for fee it is certainly profitable.
14757  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2017-10-19] Ukraine’s New Bill Treats Bitcoin as Financial Asset and Encourages on: October 19, 2017, 12:43:55 PM
If every country adopted such regulations I think it would be very good for BTC and for any other cyptocoin.State and government just want to have some kind of control and of course make a profit on taxes. The most important thing for every government is to regulate currency exchanges, but most users are accustomed to a great deal of privacy on this matter.Things are changing slowly so users will have to adapt to some new rules.I think that will have a positive impact on public opinion about BTC and cryptocurrency in general.
14758  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin Users Double Every 12 Months on: October 19, 2017, 10:55:51 AM
It is difficult to estimate number of BTC users in the world but we can safely conclude that their number increases each day.If this estimate is correct  then we are on the right track that bitcoin spread all over the world and becomes a serious player in the financial market. Also a very important factor for BTC is development of internet infrastructure and availability of the same in some pretty underdeveloped parts of the world. To use BTC you need to have computer / smartphone, electricity, internet and some knowledge.I think in those currently underdeveloped countries we have a lot of potential users.
14759  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Wallet is the weakest link? on: October 19, 2017, 08:22:46 AM
If you want to own BTC you need to have address at which you will receive/keep it and for that you need wallet. You can choose different types of wallets but most of users go for online wallets because is very easy to create an account and start to receive/send coins. But such wallets are the most risky especially if no additional protection methods are used like 2FA, and also the users are not in possession of their private keys.

Desktop wallets are much safer, but they are also exposed to hacking just because you use them online-and without adequate protection of PC you can lose your money in a way of some keylogger install on your PC and steals your wallet password.

Hardware or paper wallets are probably the safest way for safekeeping BTC and others cryptocoins, but hardware wallet is not free-you need to buy it and paper wallet is not something most users want/know how to do.
14760  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin ATM's on: October 19, 2017, 08:03:37 AM
I wander when i can see a bitcoin atm in India.

I must admit I was surprised that India did not have any BTC ATMs in this moment, considering the size of the country and the number of inhabitants is really strange. To my knowledge there is quite an interest for BTC in India and it is only a matter of time when the first ATMs will appear. It seems that the main obstacle for any BTC ATMs is that Indian government is not regulated cryptocurrencies, but they are working on that and maybe next year first ATMs will appear in India.
