i smell a "hack" over the weekend and announced next week Cry

I smell that Mark Karpeles did it.
14862  Economy / Speculation / Re: The market is really going sideways...? on: April 10, 2015, 11:14:24 AM
Ah, I see... We're at that time again where we're rotating our charts Cheesy I don't really believe in sideways movement. A breakout/-down seems much more likely, I believe. Price is still resilient. At least we went down fighting, I guess...

Sometimes looking at something in reverse will give you the right perspective.

And the support is still looking good so far.
14863  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Bitstamp Withdrawal delay?! on: April 10, 2015, 11:12:31 AM
See?
14864  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Bitstamp Withdrawal delay?! on: April 10, 2015, 11:09:16 AM
Interesting... let's see if this turns out to be just variance or if there really is something wrong with Stamp. I always liked them and really felt bad for the incident back in January...

No stay away from Bitstamp.
14865  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Bitstamp Withdrawal delay?! on: April 10, 2015, 10:00:11 AM
Withdraw everything, or you will lose your money like OP!  Bitstamp = Gox.
14866  Economy / Speculation / Re: The market is really going sideways...? on: April 10, 2015, 09:58:47 AM
Here we go folks.  Testing the support.

Let's see...
14867  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Bitstamp Withdrawal delay?! on: April 10, 2015, 09:54:52 AM
As I said, normally with SEPA and Bitstamp it is one day. When I withdraw the money in the morning before 11 am, it will get processed on the same day and on the NEXT day I have it on my German bank account.

Now 3 days delay but it was processed on the 7th of April, nothing on my bank account today again. And since yesterday no answer from the support.

Ok.  Bitstamp definitely doesn't have the money to pay you.  It is like Gox.  Sorry but your money will not arrive.

Everyone please withdraw all your money from shit exchange Bitstamp!
14868  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: April 10, 2015, 09:51:32 AM
PayPal merchants can now accept Bitcoin?

Wow. That's news.

http://www.reddit.com/r/Bitcoin/comments/321pb3/paypal_just_filed_this_document_to_the_sec/

edit

Key words here:

"....digital currencies such as Bitcoin..."

Chaps....world domination is upon us. Hold on to your beer (and the boobs).

PayPal doesn't have a mobile hardware phone offering, so while Apple Pay, Microsoft and Samsung all jump into mobile payments, PayPal needs to do something different.

Options.

1. Add Bitcoin and start pissing off Visa and MasterCard, and the above. That's not so bad for PayPal because it back's onto people's bank accounts. In theory PayPal could wipe out Coinbase, while also propelling Bitcoin into the mainstream.

2. PayPal could try to buy a hardware unit, if Blackberry wasn't such a basket case it could have been RIM. But why bother? PayPal is currently unique in that it connects to people's bank accounts. Until Apple, Microsoft and Samsung switch to doing this, PayPal and Bitcoin are a natural fit for PayPal's competitive advantage.

I'd be buying Bitcoin and PayPal stock at this point.

Well, that's awesome. BIT on Monday PLUS Paypal? The ultimate Bear trap is being settled... Am I the only one who sees where this is going?  Wink
PS: Options for h/w wallet: https://www.hardwarewallet.com/
PS2: They don't need one. Any phone with paypal app will do just fine...

Shorters will get burnt before the news. If this is real, rumor will get bitcoin to 300$ in less than 24 hours.

Watch out for the unexpected side impact of Google entering the scene like a bull in a China shop.

That's good news.  But shouldn't we see a change in trend by now?
14869  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bearish TA on: April 10, 2015, 09:41:12 AM
Why shouldn't we turn this trend around again? I think the most probably scenario right now is that the bull market of 2013 was mostly caused by gox and the block halving, many ASIC companies, and a lot of media attention. If we factor out those bubbles, we're still on the long-term exponential track!

That late 2013 surge to 1200 was caused by the Willybot.  The media attention just followed after because of the surge.  Everyone thought that was it, the big one.  But just like the stock market hype machine, it's not.
14870  Economy / Speculation / Re: Going back down to 230, then 180, then 150, then 66? on: April 10, 2015, 09:37:15 AM
Heh, today's cheap coin can be tomorrow's expensive coin Tongue

Not that cheap though...  Hoping this would go below 200.  But support at 235 - 238 is strong with this one.
14871  Economy / Speculation / Re: Going back down to 230, then 180, then 150, then 66? on: April 10, 2015, 09:35:41 AM
never sell at a loss when a crash happens you dont sell... you buy, and you buy as much as you can

Lol...  Talk about desperate...
14872  Economy / Speculation / Re: How hard will you try to sell your bags now? on: April 10, 2015, 09:34:25 AM
op has probably several accounts to post from. if bitcoin goes near $200 then the speculation section will explode with this kind of threads. some people have too much free time...

Op just lost money and is now butthurt.  Can't blame him...
14873  Economy / Speculation / Re: How hard will you try to sell your bags now? on: April 10, 2015, 09:33:25 AM

It's obviously that bitcoin is dropping back to it's start point with dead cat bounces and fake recovers and lower higher but how hard will you try to sell your bags now?

Level 1: Cheat some internet kids to buy bitcoin (your bags) in twitter, reddit, bitcointalk forum etc
Level 2: Cheat your friends, family members, business partners to buy bitcoin
Level 3: Cheat your close friend, bro and sis to buy bitcoin etc
Level 4: Cheat yourself with a rich dream to keep buying with monthly job paid

14874  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The Best Cryptocurrency? on: April 10, 2015, 08:15:41 AM
What is currently, the best cryptocurrency around?
I mean from a technological point of view.

your moms vagina

2nd best is Gavin Andresen's wife who is often mistaken for a man more often than Michelle Obama

Lol!  Wow.

I'm going to start using that when people start subtle sockpuppet hype threads.
14875  Economy / Speculation / Re: What is your price speculation for BTC at the end of 2015? on: April 10, 2015, 03:27:06 AM
I think the price might increase to 700 USD  Cheesy by the end of 2015, which I think is a fair value for the Bitcoins when the market fluctuations stabilize with the spread of news of Bitcoins. What are your price thoughts for Bitcoins by the end of the year 2015?

I'd be happy to see it stabilize above 300.
14876  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why I'm Resigning From the Title of "President" of the Digitalcoin Foundation on: April 10, 2015, 03:15:22 AM

We started out with a group of bagholders and are now a very rock solid team with great motivation.

Yes finally honesty. Just a group of bagholders trying to make money out of/or back from a coin that was a scam  Shocked Shitcoin bags what more motivation do you need  Cool

So no more bagholders?  It's time for a new wave of bagholders.  Rinse repeat.
14877  Economy / Speculation / Re: The market is really going sideways...? on: April 10, 2015, 03:10:11 AM
So I just got the inspiration from the OP. Well, let's see what would happen if we tilted the chart about 40 degrees?

Wow, it looks like we're going to the moon!!!

*Not mocking the OP, just thought this would be fun*

Lol...  I had that coming.  Grin
14878  Economy / Speculation / Re: The market is really going sideways...? on: April 10, 2015, 02:56:17 AM
I am starting to think that buying on support (236 - 238) is good...  Because it looks like it won't break.

people said the same about $250 "it won't go below that" and then again at $240 "this time it really won't go below that"
it's clear that we're currently not going to see it being stable above $300 this month.

We'll see...  I was one of those people who kept saying the support will break when everybody else said it won't break.  But right now it looks like it is starting to go sideways..

And you're right in your attitude that anything is possible.
14879  Economy / Speculation / Re: Critical Levels - EW analysis on: April 10, 2015, 01:50:48 AM
The market is starting to go sideways...  It will start to get boring really.
14880  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Mandatory Bitcoin purchasing, to be performed by each state on: April 10, 2015, 01:01:17 AM
I propose a purchasing agreement, which mandates every state in the World to buy a certain amount of Bitcoin every year. The amount will be coupled to the country's respective GDP and could be something along the lines of 0.001%-0.01% of it. The states have to hold on to their purchased coins for a given amount of time until they can invest them again.

Which other rules and what conditions and timeframes for selling off the coins do you suggest should be implemented?

And what's in it for the state?  What if their counter proposal is to outlaw mining, making it only them are allowed to mine and support the network.
