why dont u move to SUN - same idea, better name and 3 exchanges + more people. i have no prob with SLR but seems it wont get anywhere.
It's not even 2 months old. It's going to take a little while longer. There's a lot of work being done in the background. Devs are responsive to requests from industry. I think this coin has a bright future.

No offence, but there are only 9 pages on this forum.. why a dedicated SLR forum? Visit the forum. There's areas for a wide range of discussion related to solar development and technology. I can't see how a single thread can handle everything related to this field. There's only a few posts up so far but I've learned a lot just from what little is there. I've always been interested in solar tech but I've never had the funds to properly invest in it. Now with the solar community tying crypto to solar I have a chance to dive in and become part of it.

Having a transaction with member: wanted10top Till now seems to be a fake user. Waiting to resolve the question. So take care.
Nacnaus
Did you make a transaction with this user? Yes, it's a FAKE USER. . Selled 500 solarcoin(i was careful to split transaction in several part, so i just loose 500slr, by the way: If you see a new post from a new user selling 500 solarcoin probably it's him with a new username.
Be careful!! And i have already seen a new user hours ago selling exactly 500 solar coin after my bad transaction. Post the transaction ID please.

So what you are saying is: One person controls the accounts that contain 97.5 Billion + 500 Million Solarcoins. There is NOTHING preventing this person from dipping into that fund or running off with it.
If solarcoin ever became worth $0.10 that would mean the dev, one man controls an account with access to $9,750,000,000. I don't care if you are Mahatma fucking Gandhi, I'm not trusting you with that kind of money. You are also centralizing the currency which is the whole fucking reason we've turned to cryptocurrencies in the first place. At least with the fed there isnt a single point of failure. One guy can't run off with 99% of America's money.
MASSIVE FAIL. DO NOT MINE.
Might be worth 10 cents, but where will you find 10 billion dollars worth of trade? If that were to occur the market price would quickly fall to zero as there's a glut of coins on the market. The people behind this coin are some very large movers that have long term vision for this coin and this technology. Decentralization is an important part of Bitcoin but it's not it's only feature that's important. Bitcoin is a store of value pegged to decentralization. Solarcoin is a store of value pegged to energy production. If you can find a way to decentralize Solarcoin, I'd be very interested in hearing about it as would many others. I don't know how an anonymous decentralized currency is supposed verify and pay production claims. Yes Solarcoin is different. It's very different. The market will decide it's value based on the parameters of the technology and it's performance/claims. Basing your judgement on it's weaknesses is not a good way to compare this coin's potential.

I'll explain why this coin has the right idea.
Bitcoin was the technology to create a decentralized form of value. That was it's purpose and it has done it well.
SolarCoin is much like Namecoin. It's sole (pun) purpose is to create a decentralized method of investment in a tangible asset. Add value to the coin, it adds value to the network of solar producers all over the world. Want to invest in solar? Invest in SolarCoin and you invest in world wide solar power production.
This is satoshi's dream. This is why he liked Namecoin. Decentralized dns, invest in it globally.
Yes there is a centralized component to SolarCoin, and honestly I can't see a way around this problem. You need an institution to interface between the actual hardware of solar production and this unit of value known as SolarCoin.
This is how I see it.

Premined coin?
The Sun has been premining for several billion years. Maybe we should stop digging coal out of the ground because it was "premined".
Just a thought.

seems odd that a single chip version requires no cooling but 5 chips need a huge mofo heatsink and fan.
It's not that odd. Bitcoin Block Erupters are passively cooled. They do get hot, but it's within specs.

How long is this going to run? I'll have enough BTC to invest here in a few weeks. Also is there a possibility of automatic reinvestment?

why the hell he in a space suite guessing cos of dust free environment
He is working with live high voltage power. The power in the datacenter NEVER goes down, even to wire up new circuits. The space suit is to keep him (and his balls of steel) alive. +2 For balls of steel. Heh.

They have been late with every one of thier products...FPGA-3-4 months,ASIC 65nm-6-10 months(maybe more). What makes you think they learned anything The Jalapeno I ordered in April 2013 was delivered to me late November 2013. It was simply OOA (Obsolete on Arrival). When I ordered it in April, the math showed a decent profit running it. By the time I received it, it was pulling electricity (not to mention the fan noise) more than it is generating in revenue. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice... And since we are on the topic of vaporware... I see a lot of miners dumping their hardware on eBay. Are they recouping their money to re-invest in pre-ordering (more vaporware) from KNC and Cointerra? I have my KnC vaporware hashing away happily at 140 gh/s right now, so yeah I'd buy more "vaporware" from KnC considering no one comprehends English anymore.

If they're starting to ship, why are we looking for refunds? Is there something I'm not clear on here?
read up on the company named BFL a hated company that was guilty of huge delays in shipping. this hash fast company is acting exactly like BFL did. basically the best we could hope for is a fast usd /fiat refund. I'm quite familiar with BFL. I recently received two miners from them I ordered 5 months ago.

They shipped 1 developer version for bfgminer support, they are also a month past their they will be shipped by date and about to be 2 months from their expected ship date, they have also lied multiple times. I see. Well blah. Not really depressed about the whole deal, just disappointed.

It doesn't look like the news has made it over here yet, so I thought I'd take a moment to share the Feathercoin-Link link. http://blockchain-link.com/Embed data into the Feathercoin Blockchain. Some amazing work by members of the Feathercoin community. I take no credit, I'm just spreading the word. I tip my hat.
