1gram of Cannabis averaging around $20
so it will appear the 1Cann will = 1gm
Whoa, hold on now. $20 average? $8-12 is average per gram, anywhere charging $20 is absolutely ripping people off.
Maybe east coast in places without medical laws it'd be like that but this is not the black market.

There's a discount using cann so sayith the devs, so take that into account also.

Announcements & Latest Developments

First of all, Areds post was dead on.  To those who have not read it, here : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=661885.msg8423852#msg8423852 READ IT!  I cannot comment on it further other than it being perfectly said.

I am starting to see a lot of responses from the community and seeing the same names pop up contributing to the growth and success of CannabisCoin.  Amazing Community!

Collaboration and contribution is how WE make things happen.  We team together and everyone will contribute to the vision, movement, and the future of CannabisCoin as a whole.

Pegging

Quote
1 CANN = 1 GRAM of Medical Marijuana
vs
10 CANN = 1 GRAM of Medical Marijuana

I would like to let the community know that the "Peg" will be officially announced before or by Sept. 1st, pending further discussion with "first gen" growers.  Could be any day.

Growers

We have secured two supplemental growers with their own grow facilities and specialty medical marijuana strains!

Some points were brought up during face to face discussions this past weekend.

- For faster adoption, they (growers) would like to participate in the movement and provide their current crops/strains that they have already 'specialized' in and ADD it to the CANNdy Inventory.

This would provide a few beneficial facts that we have agreed on.

1) it would speed things up, they would not have to wait for CannabisCoin specific "Canndy" clones or seeds to mature to add to harvest.
2) No immediate transporting or distribution of the CannabisCoin specific "Canndy" strains on large scale, but rather gradual distribution while other strains can be slated for CANN "peg" prices.
3) it would also create a sub menu and variety of discounted meds for patients to choose from.  For example, adding another jar with "CANNdy" Main Label and then sub-labeled "L.A. Diesel Strain" etc. for that store.
4) Quicker adoption from other Dispensaries/Growers/Merchants
5) We could have "Canndy" meds on the shelves almost immediately!

QT Wallet Updates

We will be releasing soon, a wallet update to patch a couple of small issues (non noticeable issues), update the halving schedule, and implement the windows installer again for ease of use.

Mobile Web / HTML5 / QR Capable wallet

Currently active project, looking at possible issues, building API, transaction handling, etc.
We have a well-known dev in the community working on it.

More updates coming!

Lately, I have been busting balls, covered in cannabis resin from head to toe, endured Arizona monsoons, and many sleepless nights working to help make
CannabisCoin a reality.  It does not go without saying, that with the help and encouragement of the community, we CANN!  YES WE CANN!!!

~DeltaNine
let's keep going!

Hey can you explain the difficulties legal cannabis growers and retailers are having with the banking industry. Because the banks are still federally regulated all funds acquired through the sale and distribution are still illegal as a bank transfer so cannabis growers are forced to make cash deposits. How does cannabis coin directly affect this problem? I'd like an insiders view on the problems you're facing as a producer and the solutions cannabis coin may provide.
963  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][SLR] SolarCoin - PoW reward for solar energy | the GREEN KING of Crypto on: August 19, 2014, 04:12:29 PM
Is there a plan for when we are able to buy things with solarcoin? I know this is a long term plan but was wondering if it has been discussed so far.

I'd love it if solarcity started accepting it. Hah that would be awesome.

Imagine if you used 5 solarcoins toward your purchase at solarcity then say solarcity gives  you 5% off for the 5 coins this would be huge for solarcoin.

You would see auctions on ebay for 5 solarcoins going for hundreds of dollars i bet.  5% off is a huge amount on a large install even 1% lol

5% of $20,000 install is $1000   would you pay $100 for 5 solarcoins on ebay to save $900?

That would be amazing.

I need to rub my eyes a little. I see the bid and ask price are the same on Bittrex.

That's a very good sign.

When cann reaches parity I'm taking a road trip. I don't have a prescription for the herb, but I will buy a few shirts and a hat or two with cann. Cheesy And I'll get to meet you guys.

The price is where it is for obvious reasons if you can multiply by 12 and divide by 3.

Miners mine, pools dump, algorithms adjust price to get a sale.

It's not rocket science.
Maybe 8th grade math.

I've never personally had to deal with mental illness so I don't know how good their services are.

your posts hold 0 value instead of being anon why dont you tell us your real name and phone number?
Would make your posts look more legit.

So much anger. If I didn't know any better I'd say you were bipolar. In one post you applaud URO and in the next you are cutting it down and acting like a nut. You should probably seek medical attention also. I would suggest a natural medicine approach however. Prescription drugs have a poor track record for bipolar manic depressive treatment.

IPL to release new Tender prices for urea in India, around 7th September

IPL has been always in Urea Trading with GES for so many years now.

See this link

http://greenearthsystems.com.au/indian-potash-limited-ges-commitment-to-supply-4-3million-mt-to-indias-hungry-urea-market/

Interesting, how an article dated Jul 1, 2011 has a line it it "Back in 2012, urea demand was subdued due to a drought in Karnataka, Maharashtra, Gujarat and Rajasthan." Now that's suspicious.

It's a typo, it should read 2002. Here's an article with nothing more than a 30 second google search.

I love you too Gugli. You should also seek medical intervention, maybe get out go for a walk occasionally. Your damp basement might be populated with some mold that can affect your mood. Wink /hugs

You'll have to deal with, being a complete fucking twat induced financial loss soon buddy  Grin

Seems you're also mentally ill. It would explain the unusually high level of bizarre behavior on bitcoin talk.

Be well Chang. /hugs Smiley

Something to consider pointing your scrypt rigs to:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=587080.0

Boy did that turn into a mess real quick, been quite amusing watching how ridiculous people can be.  Personally I think this is one will do very well and am grateful to have been able to grab some cheaper than the IPO we missed:-)

I'm glad we both missed the IPO, haha. I still mined a handful, but not many. Trying to mine through the hard fork and this is interesting. Never done that before.

I've bought into several IPO's in the past. My results were: 50% were a complete scam (coin never launched, and dev disappeared), and the other 50% I just about broke even.

Seems like a losing proposition. This is the wild west and I've stepping into the wrong saloon quite a few times doing this.

It seems to me that THAT is the real question and the answer to that question will also answer the question of whether 1 cann = 1 gram is really feasible.

Sometime in the future I can see that.
980  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] CannabisCoin [CANN][X11][Official][420] Developments & Discussions. on: August 18, 2014, 01:04:08 AM
Those of you who are talking about an adjustable price are missing the point.....the whole point in pegging 1 cann to 1 gram cannabis is to give the currency a stable value. It's the same concept as URO, the difference being with this coin you don't have to wait for confirmation of a massive urea shipment to know it's real....if the shop accepts 1 cann in exchange for 1 gram of cannabis, then BAM the value of the coin will skyrocket. I mean, think about it, people would realize that they could go buy cannabis using cann and then resell for a profit if they wanted to, so the price would go up practically overnight.

The only problem with pegging the currency is obviously supply. If you say 1 cann = 1 gram of weed, and the following day you have 10,000 customers at your shop wanting to buy 10 grams each using cann to pay, you very quickly run dry at which point 1 cann does NOT = 1 gram because within a few hours there would be no weed left to give.

So obviously the only way it could work would be to have multiple dispersaries agree to the peg and there would have to be a strict limit on how much each customer could purchase and obviously there would need to be a MASSIVE amount of weed that dispensaries would be willing to sell for cann....I mean MASSIVE. Especially with such a huge number of coins. Maybe the 1st month the limit could be 1 gram per customer, then it could slowly increase.

I don't know....I'm just king of thinking out loud at this point.

In any case, that stuff about having an adjustable price is just missing the point altogether IMO.

My only argument against that would be, the devs plan to sell merchandise for cann also. How do you say 1 cann = 1 baseball cap, or coffee mug for example? Pegging a token to a particular item doesn't mean it has to be a 1:1 ratio, it just means that it's accepted as payment for that item. In URO's case, the devs chose a more realistic number of coins that more closely relates to their business model. I know ultimately 420,000,000 coins sounds like a nice gimmick, but that's all it really is, and it doesn't reflect the true nature of a business plan.
