1501  Economy / Economics / Re: Binance CZ sued on: March 28, 2023, 04:20:08 AM
This is happening because of all the mess that FTX created. It’s not only Binance look at how many other large exchanges had similar issues like Kraken or Coinbase.

He donated all that money to politicians and then FTX demanded it back and they are all pissed and pressuring these agencies to go after crypto. Almost every week it’s news like this pretty much
1502  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is anyone using Price Action to trade full-time? on: March 28, 2023, 04:18:03 AM
I think if you want to master price action and be successful with it then you will need lots and lots of experience and that can’t be taught. You just need enough screen time and eventually you will get it. However keep in mind it will take years.

You won’t be an expert trader if you are only trading a few weeks or months. Just not enough to learn in that time. This is not a get rich quick business. You need to put a lot of time and effort to make it.
1503  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: USD Banking for businesses on: March 28, 2023, 04:14:47 AM
There are some but they are mostly regional. A bank like JP Morgan won’t want to deal with the crypto headaches so they are out.

Right now it’s a problem for regional banks because if they accept crypto, and a year later there is some scare and a bank run happens they might have the same problem that Silvergate did and become insolvent. Hence why many won’t want to take that risk.
1504  Economy / Speculation / Re: BitMEX Founder Arthur Hayes Predicts Bitcoin To Reach $1 Million Within 2-3 Year on: March 28, 2023, 04:11:49 AM
$50k or $100k in a few years is realistic. Something like $1,000,000 especially in 3 months simply is not.

Only way that will happen is maybe some illiquid short squeeze on the weekend or we are in a hyper inflation state and everything will be in chaos which obviously you don’t want. It would set us back to the stone ages pretty much. Which I obviously don’t think will happen.
1505  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crew3XYZ airdrop platform on: March 27, 2023, 11:32:10 PM
Yeah these airdrops are becoming extremely saturated. I used ZkSync a few times and from time to time I go to their discord to get help. And every few minutes there is somebody coming in the channel asking "how do I get the airdrop". They basically saw how people made a killing with BLUR and ARB recently, they want to get ZkSync airdrop next.

However I am pretty sure it will be more work than its worth unless you are doing extremely large transactions. If you are only doing $50 worth of transactions once a month, I dont think the airdrop will be much. Many got a few thousand ARB tokens because they had like $500K running through their network.
1506  Other / Archival / Re: What is FPGA miner? on: March 27, 2023, 11:28:08 PM
Usually FGPA mining is profitable before ASICs and becomes unprofitable right after. Usually they are a scale up from GPU mining because depending on the hardware or how its coded, it can use much less power than a power hungry GPU.

However once an ASIC hits the market then its game over for any GPUs or FGPA.

FGPA is also very expensive and there is a supply issue, its difficult to buy in large quantities.
1507  Economy / Speculation / Re: 23 March 2023: SEC issues official warning to crypto investors on: March 27, 2023, 04:55:47 PM
Now today we got CTFC suing Binanace. It seems this is not going to end soon. If you read the lawsuit, most likely it means that Binance US is dead and most likely it will be impossible to use any US banks to transfer USD into and out of the Binance exchange.

Remember how a few months ago Binance had issues with US fiat deposits/withdraws? They denied any rumors of this lawsuit and now here it is. This is proof that this investigation was ongoing for a few months and the hint was the bank getting rid of Binance.

BNB down -5% so far.
1508  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What your opinion? on: March 27, 2023, 04:50:03 AM
I’ve been investing for years with stocks and crypto and forex and my advice is that it’s not as easy as you think. Keep in mind if trading was easy then everybody would be doing it however it’s not the case.

My advice is make a small deposit with real money and trade penny sized positions. It’s better than demo because the emotions will still be there but not enough to lose a huge sums of money.
1509  Economy / Speculation / Re: 23 March 2023: SEC issues official warning to crypto investors on: March 27, 2023, 04:44:24 AM
I think the reason they issues this is because back in late 2021, many worried about inflation so they bought stocks and crypto. And they obviously would of been better off staying in cash if they held till now.

So now they are saying this because they don’t want people to invest in Bitcoin as a safe haven compared to a bank account. Because people see posts like “BTC to $1M in 90 days” and they borrow money and buy crypto and then end up being a bag holder.
1510  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin will pump soon? Lower interest rates in june. on: March 27, 2023, 04:41:29 AM
Investors in crypto don't wait for the FED to start cutting the interest rates before making an investment decision. Crypto Investors can buy and sell whenever the market is favorable to them.

FED or no FED, bitcoin will pump in price. Your opinion that investors to wait for FED to start cutting interest rates doesn't count in the crypto space.

The fed cutting rates does play a role with Bitcoin because Bitcoin mostly does what the macro is doing. If assets like stocks are going up because rates are getting cut then so will Bitcoin.

Look what happened during Covid crash. It was correlated very closely. And most likely if the rates get cut then Bitcoin will pump.
1511  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Circulating supply matters to you? on: March 26, 2023, 04:41:10 AM
Yes supply is the most important metric to determine how to price a token. If the supply is unlimited and you need to look at the mining rate or supply issuance rate.

For example, most don’t realize how many dogecoins there are. Not only that but the mining supply is still huge. If you understood this then you would realize that Dogecoin at $1,$5 or $10 just isn’t possible.
1512  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Effective Approaches to Trading Cryptocurrencies for Profit on: March 26, 2023, 04:36:54 AM
Honestly none of those will actually work.

You want something that works, “a fair bit” of the time?

Just put some alerts for liquidations on perp exchanges. When we get a high pump or dump and there is massive liquidations that took place, look to place a trade in that area. You will be surprised how effective it is.
1513  Economy / Speculation / Re: BitMEX Founder Arthur Hayes Predicts Bitcoin To Reach $1 Million Within 2-3 Year on: March 26, 2023, 04:34:30 AM
If you guys follow Twitter it seems that he might of not funded the escrow yet. Seems he is taking back his word. His opponent funded his portion but before he sends his, he wants to check with his lawyers first.

So it seems that the bet might of fell thru when he realized that it’s a pretty stupid bet and it’s just wasting money. Well not actually wasting since the counterparty from what i read would donate it to charity anyways.

See how it unfolds this week.
1514  Economy / Speculation / Re: Asia Pushes Bitcoin Past $25K on: March 26, 2023, 04:31:11 AM
Seems this is a repeat of a year earlier where the opposite was happening. The regulations were under way in Asia and most sessions it was bearish. Then when New York time hit it was bullish again. Went on like this for a while and you could of made good trades if you noticed the trends.

Now i notice when we are in the Asian session there is a lot of buying. Then in New York it varies depending on how bad the macro is. However this is something that you should consider before taking any bearish trades in Asian session.
1515  Economy / Economics / Re: FTX Leaderboards: Someone lost $120m... on: March 25, 2023, 11:28:50 PM
Don't be surprised. There are many losses in the 8-9 figures on FTX. These aren't individuals but they are institutions. There was some Teacher's Pension in Canada that had money stuck there and there were many many institutional firms who had lots of money on the exchange.

Also don't forget all the market makers like Jump which were basically arbitraging all the different pairs back and forth on the exchange. There are many that trusted FTX since they left so much funds on that exchange. The SBF guy fooled so many people.
1516  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Competition between AMD and Nvidia on: March 25, 2023, 06:25:52 PM
Nvidia wanted to make more money selling GPUs for mining, so they came up with the LHR version.

Nvidia didn't make money from LHR. They made money but not from LHR. LHR was mostly a marketing gimmick
to please gamers by pissing off miners during a period of high demand and short supply. The side effect is it made
AMD GPUs more attractive to miners. AMD made money from LHR.

The reason why they made LHR was because if you went to any gaming forums you would see that people were extremely pissed off how Nvidia GPUs became unobtainable and were pissed at all the people who were trying to flip them. You basically were screwed if you were a hardcore gamer. PC Gamers HATED miners for this. And they complained to Nvidia that they will abandon their loyality for AMD if they don't do something soon.

So the only reason LHR was implemented was to please those gamers. However as you can see it did nothing because miners still bought out every single GPU inside the store. I understand why they did it but it didn't really help. The GPUs were still hard to acquire during those months where ETH had crazy probability.
1517  Economy / Speculation / Re: INSTEAD OF CRASHING BITCOIN RALLIED. on: March 24, 2023, 06:44:47 PM
Bitcoin generally has been risk-on for the past 3 years. There are times when its not correlated  but for most of the time is it. Look what happened during the covid crash. Bitcoin crashed also with stocks.

This banking crisis is considered risk-off but its different because people are panicking about their funds inside their bank. If they disappear they are in trouble. Hence why many bought bitcoin because with bitcoin your money doesn't disappear and they also can't print an unlimited number like fiat.

So if there are more bank failures its bullish for bitcoin. But if the entire economy falls into a deep recession and stocks go down... so might bitcoin.
1518  Economy / Speculation / Re: BitMEX Founder Arthur Hayes Predicts Bitcoin To Reach $1 Million Within 2-3 Year on: March 24, 2023, 04:15:10 AM
I watched his video with bankless on YouTube and read his article but I am confused.

He says that now they are guaranteeing 4T in assets. However this is borrowing future money for present money and shouldn’t cause inflation because nothing is created technically.

However he says when fed will cut, all this dry power will go into the market but how exactly? That money that was added to the balance sheet will stay on there until those USG and MBS mature and then it’ll roll off. I don’t get where he says the 4T will have an affect of the economy.
1519  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin will pump soon? Lower interest rates in june. on: March 24, 2023, 04:11:07 AM
If you google “CME fed tool” there is a calculator there that shows you the probability of hikes for the coming meetings in the future.

According to CME right now there is a chance we get a cut in the Summer and something like 100 bps cut at the end of the year.

The fed keeps saying banks are doing good and not too worry but this data from the bond traders suggests that something will break and the fed will be forced to cut.
1520  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Blackbytes (GBB): a decentralized and private form of cash on: March 24, 2023, 04:07:42 AM
This project still exists? I remember it being called Gigabyte and I remember getting the free airdrops just by having a Bitcoin balance.

I think for every 1 Gbtye you got they sent you 2 Blackbytes for free. It was neat but i could never actually send the blackbtyes anywhere, I kept getting an error.

It’s good that it’s still alive, I will check it out.
