1501  Economy / Economics / Re: Europe Will be first to use Stablecoins and btc crypto on: September 02, 2023, 08:35:54 AM
I am aware that Germany has gone into recession. I don't think the whole of Europe is in that bad shape. Of course the war has its own repercussions, that doesn't mean Euro is slowly dying. Our own petro dollars might face an issue after Saudia joined the BRICS group. That doesn't mean USD is in bad position at the moment. I doubt Europe will come into such a situation wherein they have to be dependent in cryptocurrency. It would take many many years for the economic situation of Europe to crumble. For now it is still okay and we don't need to panic.
1502  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: TRY TO STUDY ABOUT BITCOIN AS A BIGINNER BEFORE POST/COMMENT on: September 02, 2023, 08:11:35 AM
I feel it is better to first understand the present financial system and then venture into Bitcoin's ecosystem. There thing like centralization, inflation and governance that needs to be understood. Then if you try to understand about Bitcoin it will be easier than directly venturing into Bitcoin.

The reason why Bitcoin was created was to challenge the existing financial system. I mean without knowing the problems how will understand the solution. For me the best resource was to read the whitepaper of Bitcoin. It has everything you need to fully understand it's capability.
1503  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: [JUST IN] Chinese court news said Cryptocurrencies are considered legal property on: September 01, 2023, 12:22:27 PM
This was in the pipeline after Chinese banks showed a decline in their profits. Before that the big giant of Chinese construction Industry, Evergrande had filed for chapter 15 bankruptcy protection at a Newyork.court. China has not been able to overcome the COVID-19 shock to its economy. It might  be a rumor, that there are daily cases of COVID-19 that are coming out, after every citizen being administered with the local vaccine did not work as expected.

Things got very worst with CCP when they tried their level best to show the world that they have been able to counter the pandemic by allowing everyone to walk free. As per my understanding a country ruled by a fascist government would try to hide everything happening within the country.

Let's talk about the flood situation, CCP tried their level best to save the capital by destroying those regions which were supposed to generate farmed output. At present they have zero clue on how to get rice as India has banned rice export.

Mismanagement and ofcourse over confidence let them to this stage. Without the yes nod of CCP, this court would not have give such a positive statement. As per my understanding this statement from the court might bring back miners and it will allow ever citizen to invest, trade & hold their cryptocurrency. Another last attempt by CCP to get FDI inorder to reboot it's economy.
1504  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Countries where Bitcoin is “banned” on: September 01, 2023, 09:47:16 AM
joker_josue I can assure you that Bitcoin or any other crypto is not banned in India. There was a blanket ban earlier in 2018 by the Reserve Bank of India, it got removed in 2020. A new tax policy was introduced by the government of India in 2022 and recently a lot of my fellow Indian community members have paid crypto tax on their capital gain.

In India there are several local cryptocurrency exchanges that are operating with ease. The trading  volume has depeleted due to the new tax law otherwise everything else is business  as usual in India for Bitcoin. We are expecting a regulatory framework around Bitcoin and other cryptocurrency most probably by the end of this year or by end of next year.

BTW, you should add North Macedonia to that list as it is the only European country that has banned Bitcoin and other cryptocurrency.

Is it a must for all bitcointalkers to post on their local boars?
Posting on local boards shows your real identity and on local board one can easily flow with the discussions over there, since the most popular countries have their own local boards and people on bitcointalk.org posts on the board but I am wondering if is a must for evey bitcointalkers to post on their local boards, maybe for one reason or the other.

How posting on local boards reveal anyone's real identity? If I am a regular on a local board that only means I am from that country. There are a few individuals that I have seen discussing topics on multiple local boards. That does not mean he or she is from all of those countries. Your real identity remains anonymous even if you are posting on any board or local boards. It is not compulsory to post on your local board, if you want to be part in a discussion related to crypto issues in your country then you can participate in that discussion if you want. I do not think such a question needs to be asked as it is simple logic and does not require a discussion surrounding it.
1506  Local / India / Re: [July Update] Indian Board activity on Bitcointalk on: September 01, 2023, 07:39:46 AM
Yeah that is a good approach. I do see Rikafip's dashboard but it would be good to get insights directly on this thread.
It would also be a lot easier to compare it with previous month's stats.
I would suggest to edit the main post every month and add it there and reserve the first 2 posts.
So that we don't have to dive in the comments for finding a particular month's stats.
Since this year is about to end we can continue in this thread and follow the new approach beginning next year. One thread for each year.

I agree! Rather going to the main thread and then trying to debunk through those updates it is better to summarize everything using this thread. As pawanjain said you don't need to reply to the existing thread every month. Update the OP with the summary and we can then comment on it. I would be happy if we start suggesting what we can do to increase the traffic on our local board. On this same thread every month. Next month we would be having Ganesh festival, if anyone here wants to suggest any activities before the festival starts then share it on this thread.
1507  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Crypto wave everywhere on: September 01, 2023, 07:01:27 AM
Hello and Welcome to the forum.

Although everyone who has replied to your thread before me has shared important links and provided important information to you. Still, I would like to ask one question. Did you read the whitepaper on Bitcoin? You will be able to find almost every information needed to understand Bitcoin, it would be great if you read the whitepaper yourself. It will help you to understand why everyone living in the world should have Bitcoin and what changes it has made to the world. Sharing the link to the Bitcoin whitepaper for you. If English is not your native language, then you might find its translation in your language when you visit that link.

1508  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cricket Asia Cup 2023! Which team will WIN? on: September 01, 2023, 06:49:26 AM
It was supposed to be a great match between Bangladesh vs Sri Lanka but I was shocked by Bangladesh's performance. In the past the Asia Cup saw a big fight between these two teams, so it was expected by all. You may have seen the match that the bowling side of Bangladesh was very deadly but the batting side did not perform well. Bangladesh should have saved the early wickets and Sri Lanka would have been under pressure but Sri Lanka bowling side was good and they attacked the weak line.

I too was expecting a good match between these two teams. I never expected that the Bangladesh side would not be able to reach 200. In a tournament you are expected as a team to outperform your opponents, still after winning the toss and selecting to bat first if you can only score 164 runs that means you are one of the worst team. I would love to see Bangladesh playing against Nepal. It is a possibility that Nepal might defeat Bangladesh and win their first match in the Asia cup after watching them play yesterday.

Day after tomorrow we as a cricket fan would be seeing the two biggest rivals playing against each other after the T20 world cup. Pakistan middle order had outperformed when they played against Nepal. That does not mean they will be able to repeat their performance against India. ODI match between these two teams is all about the amount of pressure a player is able to take and the ability to outperform their own performance. Major concern for India is its middle order and uncertain opening pair. Last couple of matches their lower middle order has always performed well. Bowling is not an issue as India has some of the best bowler in the world in this side.
1509  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cricket Asia Cup 2023! Which team will WIN? on: August 31, 2023, 02:43:34 PM
LOL!  Grin
You don't need any opinion or suggestions as in to which team will win today. It is very much clear that Srilankan team have dominated the first half. Whereas the Bangladesh squad fail to deliver what they were supposed to do. Inthe end home factor is indeed favouring the Srilankan  team.
1510  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Christmas Casino Calendars 2023 - Yes or NO on: August 31, 2023, 02:14:04 PM
Christmas is significant and so are the marketing offers that pop up before the celebration starts. I would like to see what you can offer the community without the community recommending you. The third option which is surprise us would be my choice at the moment as you have not suggested anything different than what others generally would offer the community, I hope you come out with something that is exclusive to the forum and that is unique in itself and possible have not been provided in the past.
1511  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cricket Asia Cup 2023! Which team will WIN? on: August 30, 2023, 12:02:19 PM
What do you think would be a good target for Nepal?

A target of 250 and more would not be that easy for Pakistan to chase. Pakistan has a good bowling attack and with Afridi in the squad it won't be easy for Nepalese batters.

At the moment Nepal is playing well. They would be now targeting Babar Azam, if he gets out then Pakistan would face issues in reaching above 250. The conditions look touch, it looks like the weather is hot and humidity level are high. I just saw Babar Azam being helped by fitness expert.
1512  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cricket Asia Cup 2023! Which team will WIN? on: August 30, 2023, 07:57:51 AM
Pakistan can definitely win today because Pakistan is stronger than Nepal team. Babar Azam, Rizwan, Imam-ul-Haq, Faqar Zaman are the best players of Pakistan team but compared to them, Nepal team has no strong players. And I bet for Pakistan I definitely want Pakistan to win today. Pakistan team's bowling point is stronger than Nepal's so in any aspect Pakistan is ahead today. If both the teams can defend the wicket till the end, it will surely give the visitors a game full of competition.

If this tournament was played with the T20 format then any of these two team could have won. As the tournament is being played in ODI format Pakistan has the upper edge. They are the number one team in this format defeating big names like Australia and India. I also believe Pakistan are the favourite to win this year's Asia Cup. Srilanka could trouble them as they are very good in their home ground. India still has big issue with their middle order. On paper Indian team looks good but the middle order has been batting very bad for sometime now.
1513  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Face unlock on bitcoin wallet devices on: August 30, 2023, 06:59:23 AM
Security features on a mobile Bitcoin wallet are integrated using the mobile device security features. IMO if you are using a good device like iPhone or Samsung Galaxy then face unlock or fingerprint scanner should not be an issue. As we know those two brands have the best security & safety feature. You still can add pin code with the finger print scanner to add an extra layer of security. I haven't seen any mobile wallet integrating face unlock feature yet. If you know such a mobile wallet then do share here.

1516  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin movement: my thought on: August 30, 2023, 05:15:56 AM
Why would a whale advertise about Bitcoin? A whale is happy with the way he ir she manipulates the market to accumulate Bitcoin from weak hands. Bitcoin adoption is moving at a faster pace than you can think. Think in this way why suddenly there is big debate among governments of different countries about regulation. 3 years back none of them cared about regulating Bitcoin. Now all of them are trying to come up with a global consensus on regulation.
1517  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: hmmm fishy on: August 30, 2023, 04:44:44 AM
It is not that easy to determine whose wallet address it is. It can be a coincidence that the transaction were made just before Bitcoin pumped. Looking at the amount of Bitcoin this wallet holds, the best guess could be an exchange wallet. I don't think there is anything fishy around the transactions made before the grayscale announcement.
1518  Local / India / Re: Indian PM Modi calls for global cryptocurrency framework at G20 Summit on: August 29, 2023, 10:55:55 AM
This is how Modi works! He will use the G20 platform to be seen as a leader well diverse in all subjects. This is how he has always gain limelight and recognition within the country and abroad. I am sometime baffled by his personality and the way he is able to orate in public. Not many global leaders have such qualities.

Coming back to your point, indeed what you said was correct. A global framework is required and a few days back the US has send a proposal to make it mandatory KYC for DEX and those wallets that connect to these web3 platforms. By November this law will be up for approval and get passed by December of this year. A global regulation on crypto is in the making.
